Yeah Shopify is such a brilliant concept! I’ve gone to 4-5 different events here & they’ve all been Awesome! The space is spacious enough for a large crowd and they always have plenty snacks & beverages at every event. The only downside, there’s only one restroom, which can be a headache for an all day event with over 100 attendees. I just recently attended an event (Found. Her Summit)curated by GROWN Media. Not only was it impactful it was inspiring. I can’t wait to have my own Shopify store featuring my own merch. Hearing from the panelists & viewing merchandise from the present vendors/business owners, was a reminder all things are possible with diligence and consistency. Highly recommend signing up for any & everything Shopify offers & produces!

Went here for Action Bronson’s pop-up. The space had a great flow, the staff was super nice and easygoing. The line went smooth and it wasn’t overcrowded inside. Definitely a great event space.

I recently attended an event at Shopify NY, and I was thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment. The vibe was vibrant yet comfortable, making it an ideal setting for the event. I absolutely loved the space and would highly recommend it for any occasion. The attention to detail in the design truly enhances the overall experience!

Fantastic space. Always great events - Val and Jina are great hosts!

Google
Shopify is a good website. They throw very good events at their NY store. But they always let guests wait in line outside for 20-30 minutes past opening hour. So rude. Why do you do that?

Moms Spaghetti at NYC was great! It wasn’t expensive and it was a large portion. Pictures posted doesn’t do it no justice. The staff including security was very friendly and tentative. Too bad it won’t be up too much longer!

**UPDATED** Love Shopify and how easy they make the process of online selling. Also love this storefront on Greene Street- beautiful space and location. They host lots of events & pop ups from Mr. Beast to Mom’s Spaghetti. Glad to be a part of their creative community for a few years now!

Google
In NYC hyped product launches go south, quickly, and hiccups happen - especially at pop ups. You normally will see panic, and excuses. However, that hasn’t been a worry for me here; Bri and Val were super helpful and kind when I encountered an issue - they went above and beyond, making it more than right!

Yelp
I came to see the Poke Court pop-up. It was amazing. I love there was a various cards and merchandise to choose from. I felt like it was very organized and securities seemed chill like they enjoyed working there, during this event. I hope they have another collaboration like this again.

Yelp
I am not here to review their Pop up tents but rather real world everyday use of their app Shop.com. This company is a complete joke. All they do(for my purposes) is host companies online check-out processes in a more simple streamlined manner. They are the first to tell you they have nothing to do with the online business/merchant one bit. If you have an issue good luck reaching out to these jokester's. They rather have you reach out to your credit card company before you reach out to them. They take very little ownership and responsibility for anything that goes wrong with the transaction. I purchased an item from a company recently represented on shop.com. Shop.com offers the company's contact information on the shop.com app but the particular company's email address bounces back. I have done everything I could possibly do to contact customer service but because the purchase has been less than 30 days their system automatically blocks you from submitting your complaint to shop.com. So essentially if you want chopped.com to look into a possible fraudulent or company that's out of business or a bad transaction you have to wait 30 days. It's amazing that companies like Shopify even turn a profit let alone are granted stock market trading by the SEC.

Yelp
Great place, great vibe but I got home and realized I left something important. There is no phone number or anyone to speak to immediately in order to get my item returned. That was frustrating. I emailed and didn't get a response in a timely manner. I even talked to the chat bot that told me an agent was going to join in less than 5 mins but I disconnected after waiting 10 to no avail.

Yelp
Shopify NY is located at 131 Greene Street New York, NY and is a space where local entrepreneurs can have events like inspiring speakers, pop-ups, and more. On Saturday, July 27, 2024 and Sunday, July 28, 2024, Woobles used the space for The Woobles Birthday Bash. My friend and I arrived around 10:50am (doors open at 11am) and waited on line for about 3 1/2 hours before entering the building. The line wrapped around for blocks. Only 60-65 people were let into the building at a time. There are two floors. On the first floor, we passed by a display of all the woobles kits and crochet hooks, designed our own Wooble and received a FREE exclusive Woobles kit, snapped a picture at the photobooth with props, took a picture with their mascot Pierre the Penguin, and I met Chief Woobler Justine Tiu. This floor also has a café. The lower level had games set up like cornhole, ring toss, spin while balancing a wooble on a spoon without dropping it, and a claw machine filled with adorable accessory kits. There are staircases and elevator access to the lower level. The restrooms are located on the lower level. There were no items for purchase. This is a great venue for events like this. It did feel crowded when we were all held on the first floor waiting to go downstairs, but the Woobles staff were very organized and kept people moving. They used the space adequately.

Yelp
POP-UP Shop for Pink Friday Nails from October 11-13th from 11 am - 6 pm and I am so lucky I was made aware of this by Tik Tok. Praise the lord. Came on Sunday, able to park, not a long line and even a sale. Buy 2 get 1 free. Got tokens for the claw machine and won 2 boxes of nails. This whole venue was all PINK OUT! I freaking love it. I am so happy with my entire purchase today. Lol

Yelp
My fiancé and I attended an event here for the Woobles. The space inside is very spacious for SoHo. It is split into two floors so it is perfect for a smaller event. A lot of people showed up to this event and the line wrapped around the block. However, the event we attended made perfect use of the space inside. They had areas to take photos upstairs along with displays of existing woobles and the exclusive one that attendees received. The downstairs area had family friendly games and nothing felt too crowded. I would highly recommend this space for any similar business looking to hold an event.

Yelp
Shopify itself is a nicely laid out event space. Upon entering, you have two ways to go, straight ahead or divert to your left where it reaches a conversing area and display walls. They have two floors and both staircases or elevator access to the floor below. Two restrooms as well. I can see why it's a good photography or events space as the media and IT set up is there. High ceilings and even a small cafe area to boot, which I'm sure this space can convert for multi purpose functions. XxXxXxXxXx separately.... 2.5 stars for Bokksu x Hello Kitty Event I attended an event here: Collab with Bokksu x Hello Kitty. The event itself was not well run and staff everywhere yet inefficient. Lines were set up outside just to go in but the wait was well over 1-2 hours long depending on what time you got on line. Hello Kitty made appearances throughout but they would've been better off having a display model in conjunction with the real costumed mascot. I understand the costume is heavy and likely not breathable inside, thus making it hard for her to be out for a long time. But with the limited appearance time, photo ops took too long and yeah, the lines. Bathroom was the same if not worse. One dedicated to the public, and that line (!) was also too long but Shopify managed to have it clean and well stocked throughout the event. Also disappointing, a lot of the goods Bokksu featured were not available for sale. It's a missed opportunity to get on the spot subscriptions as well. At least they could have offered a kiosk or ipad to close the deal. They did have team members do Point of Sale transactions but it was limited to tees, sweatshirts, a tote bag and one food item. Nothing with the Collab reference so that was not cool at all. And white decorated to show off the Sakura/cherry blossoms theme, there was nothing to see. They missed a huge opportunity to market their items on screen and limited giveaways. Only cool thing was the prize crane which originally was not clear on how to get a token to play. The staff members in charge (a rotation of them) were not even close to the machine at times. (Thankfully, the crane worked and some winners abound).

Yelp
The employees here are the worst. I was just at an event today and the nice founders of the partner brand literally put out cookies and told us to take them. I took 1 and so did all the people around me, but the Shopify employee took a rolled up magazine and hit me on the shoulder with it, then told me to put the cookie back. Everybody around me saw what happened and all agreed that was out of line and unacceptable behavior by the employee. First of all, she didn't hit or say anything to anyone else but me because she's a racist. Second of all, even if I wasn't supposed to take it (but the brand founders specifically told us that we could take it so the Shopify employee was wrong anyway) she shouldn't hit people at all. She should have talked to me before physically touching me. I spoke to the Shopify manager about this and she seemed like she didn't even care that her employee just hit someone. This same Shopify employee who hit me then kept giving me dirty looks throughout the whole event and purposely bumping into me multiple times without saying sorry. I spoke to other people at the event, who said that the employees were mean to them also. They need to hire new staff at Shopify who aren't going around hitting people for no reason!

Yelp
A nice space to host Popup events. The upstairs sells a number of items from small businesses. There is a coffee shop on-site and free wifi. A few tables upstairs are great if you want to work there for some time. Downstairs is an open space great for Q&A sessions and demos. Also nice spot to work with a laptop surrounded by plants. There is a single restroom downstairs.

Yelp
I'm really displeased with my first (and probably last) experience at Shopify NY. I attended the New Day Soirée event there this week. A free headshot was promised, but I was forced to pay $25 through Venmo to the photographer on the spot with no explanation and then never received any instructions on how long to wait or what to do. And when I re-read the confirmation it says I'd receive TWO free headshots with the option to purchase extras or retouching. For two days I heard nothing. I reached out to the photographer through Venmo & she didn't respond to me. Two days later I received an email with the photo proofs for nine images. I dislike them all. It was raining that day & I got drenched on my way to the event. Not a great look for photos. So now I'm out $25. Also, the event started at 12pm when I arrived and there was supposedly an "after party" starting at 5pm, but there was literally nothing else going on at noon except the quickie photo sessions. Nobody gave direction where to go or what to do, so I just left. The space was really beautiful and there was a cute little coffee counter (but nobody was working it while I was there so I couldn't even get a cup of coffee to justify hanging around). It has potential for an event space if the event is properly run & managed. This event was an epic fail.

Yelp
Very nice space. I didn't even know this place existed. I attended a class there. It was very informative and very helpful. The gentlemen teaching was great and answered all my questions. I can't wait to go back. If you have a business definitely go on the site to see what's offered and attend. It's New York so parking is crazyyyy. It's in the area of all the great shops and museums so lots to do and great shopping.

Yelp
Had the best experience here at a workshop. I met a bunch of people, they offered swag bags, small bites, and drinks. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. We met an amazing skillshare teacher and were able to listen/learn from different workshops. They also had headshots being offered which was awesome, but could've been handled a lot better. It was very unorganized, which kinda added a bummer to my night. I was standing on line for about 20 minutes and right when it was almost my turn to go up, I was next, they stopped taking the photos because the skillshare teacher was going to speak (which was completely understandable). When it was over I got up to take my photo and no I was not waiting another 20 minutes. I went up with the girl that was behind me and it was a mess. People were clearly trying to skip, it wasn't organized, and I felt uncomfortable. The photographer thankfully remembered the people who were waiting before and took the pictures accordingly, but the discomfort was unnecessary. Besides that it was an awesome event and I would definitely go back to learn more!

Yelp
It's a pretty neat space for a pop-up shop. The space is very clean and minimalistic. Perfect for a retail pop-up since they have a cute coffee station, fitting room (one only), and more space downstairs for photo shoots and other fun activities you can offer your guests. I'm not sure what the cost is, prob pricey, but I think it's definitely a great space and location if you're planning to promote your brand!
