"The soup selection at this cozy Korean longtimer in an Aurora strip mall goes on and on, from the mild, milky, and thoroughly comforting tuk gook laden with chewy rice cakes to gamjatang, a rich pork soup featuring pork neck bones and potatoes. Short ribs, codfish, dumplings, kimchi, tofu, blood sausage — whatever the itch, Silla likely has a soup to scratch it." - Rebecca Treon, Gigi Sukin, Ruth Tobias

"Though there’s plenty of protein to grill up here, the starches steal the show at Silla: giant dumplings stuffed to bursting with kimchi; chilled buckwheat noodles in tangy beef broth beneath crisp veggies; rice cakes smothered in blistering chile sauce or sliced into soothing dumpling soup laced with seaweed and egg. And speaking of rice, the browned bits at the bottom of the bibimbap pot are always worth fighting for." - Ruth Tobias

If you like traditional Korean food and Korean barbecue, Silla Restaurant is the place to be. The new owners have changed the ambience while adding new menu items that are absolutely delicious. If you have larger parties they can accommodate as well in the private rooms on the side. Just have to make sure to call ahead for availability. Highly recommended for either large parties or families looking to enjoy a meal together.

Google
Food was excellent. It's on the pricier side but I would pay for the quality of the food. But I'd only have it to go from now on. Never dine in. Water was not refilled once. No one checked in once. For a restaurant that is expecting tips from customers, we shouldn't be the one constantly asking for water refills. That is basic.

Google
This Korean restaurant was so clean and beautiful. The food was amazing!! I have been searching for bossam and this had been the best one. The portions were also super generous. They were all so nice and helpful! Definitely coming back.

Justin Yoo

Google
The staff is friendly and super attentive. The food was so good that we ordered cold noodles in 20 degree weather. I recommend this korean place 10/10

Silla has been serving Denver for long time at their current location. It remains a good option to enjoy some good Korean food. Lunch special reduced to 4 cold noodle choice only It's worth to choice the 2 with thin slice of beef rib. I like the YOUK GAE JANG | 육개장 most of the time, it is bit salty otherwise would be very good.

Google
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. I really like the BOODAE JUNGOL, which is Korean style hotpot. And we couldn't finish it🥺, we were so full. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Nicole Ahn

Google
The food is flavorful, has depth to it, and is delicious. For the amount of food you receive and how the food tastes, the price is really affordable. I really recommend this restaurant!!

Google
Very disappointing. We are regular at this restaurant. The food has changed over time. We order steam eggs for my toddler and didn’t get it even after finishing food. Waiting over an hour for steam egg is ridiculous! Their bbq bowl used to be good but the meat they used is very rough and hard to bite this particular day.

Yelp
I keep coming back here whenever I'm craving Korean food in general. Food: They are good at dishes across categories - naengmyeon, soondobu, hangover soup, BBQ, bibimbap, etc. It doesn't matter what we've ordered so far, it's been satisfying. Love their side dishes - they change it up so it's never boring. Vibe: Casual. Great for big or small groups. I would also be comfortable dining here alone. Service: Fast to average. Never had to wait too long for food even when they're busy. The staff in my experiences here have either been reserved, nice and polite or very friendly, polite staff, depending on who's working. Just like in some parts of Asia, I like how there's a service button at the table for when you want to order more or get the check. Price: $$. Reasonable for the location and what you get.

Yelp
Wanna say... with the new owner and new servers, my last few visits have been excellent and giving 5 stars. Greeted with smile once you enter and another big smile once you sit down.... and the staff comes to take your order promptly.. the last owner (over worked gentleman), did pretty decent job too. Overall, all looks about the same but little things you will see adds big overall. Love the new wait person. She is excellent and her attentiveness and manner surpasses any $$$ restaurants I have been to. Hope this last for a long time. Since rhe new owner took over, it's been our weekly go-to. Food: Our $40 galbi was delicious and love the lettice presentation. Highly recommend soontofu too.

Yelp
Finally came and tried for lunch after recommendations for authentic Korean. The place was full for a holiday weekend during lunch which wasn't surprising. I like having the option of trying more specialties that I can't get else where and this did the trick. If you like your ham hocks and pork belly this is it. I enjoyed the banchan as well as it tasted homemade vs bottled commercial stuff. They had some private rooms too which worked well for our party of 15.

Yelp
I realize businesses need to raise prices due to inflation and the current state of the economy. However, I find it absurd for a business to increase a food item by 47% in just 2 weeks. Many people including myself, frequent Silla for their popular lunch set of naengmyun + galbi, which was $18 in mid-Dec 2024 but by Jan 2025, the price jumped to $28. I understand that price increases are necessary, and I've noticed many other restaurants adjusting their prices as well (which is normal and expected). However, Silla is the ONLY restaurant I've come across that raised its price by such a significant percentage in such a short time. I'm not sure what their other food items are like but I couldn't help notice this change. While they explained that the naengmyun is now a larger portion (which is true) and due to higher meat costs, the galbi portion was actually slightly smaller. Imo which still doesn't justify the increase. As for their mandu lunch set, not sure when this change happened, but it is no longer their handmade giant kimchi mandu. It came with 4 kimchi mandus that tasted and looked exactly like the frozen Pulmone ones I get from hmart. Super disappointing. I have family members and friends that are restaurant owners (even those that own a kbbq restaurant) and they all find it mind boggling that a restaurant was able to increase it by this much and so quickly too. Many of them mentioned around a 5% increase is expected annually but find 50% unusual. For context, a lunch set of naengmyun and galbi for two people now costs around $75, including tax and a 20% tip. Thought this was worth noting!!

Yelp
Great bonchon with an extensive menu. My group tried and assortment of meats, soup, appetizer and cold noodles. All items were flavorful and well prepared. Service could have been better with an extra server. Quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
I've been coming to this particular Korean restaurant since I was a little girl. I want to say it's one of the original Korean restaurant in Colorado. We recent visited to eat their cold buckwheat noodles soup (nengmyun). Which is perfect for really how days. I love their lunch menu just for that. You can order it with a side of kalbi (Korean short ribs) or dumplings. The portion size is a little on the smaller side. My tweens were still hungry after their lunch meal but for less than $20 it was well worth the drive. The service was on the slower end, it always have. We didn't expect any difference. Don't expect to order and eat, and pay within 30 mins. They remodels this place years back to make it more modern, it's not all about the vibe but their food. If you're ever in the Aurora area looking for authentic Korean food that's not hyped up on social media, check this place out!

Mike K.

Yelp
Amazing food, especially given the fact that I'm from LA and was visiting Denver, found this great spot in Aurora.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Had a great time at Silla for KBBQ. Arrived on a Saturday night to no wait. Place is decent sized with booths set up to BBQ your own meat. We got the special 3 that fed 3-4 along with some Mandu and beer. Meats were all delicious and well marinated. Sides were also plentiful with lots of options. We were very well fed with the amount! They have a button you can press when you need assistance and when you'd like to pay. Overall great KBBQ place, I'd return again.

Yelp
Really pleased. When I walked in, I was surprised at how much it reminded me of walking into a restaurant in Korea (I am not Korea but have spent about 5 weeks in Korea, so I'm not an expert on what is authentic, but it was really nice vibes). The owner was really nice. We ordered the full size kim chi pancake to share, and I got naeng myun (cold noodle soup) and then pork and dumpling tofu stew to take home for dinner. My friends got spicy seafood tofu stew and fish bibimbap. All the food was delicious. The kim chi pancake I wished had a little more kim chi, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside in a really delicious way. The naeng myun was good and gigantic ... after eating as much as I could, I had so much leftover the take out container overflowed, and I gave a serving to my neighbor and still have 1-2 servings left! The tofu stew was really good too, and my friends both enjoyed their dishes. Will definitely be coming back!

Alexanria J.

Yelp
Pretty good cozy vibe Korean restaurant. We love their lunch special. Strongly recommend nengmyun during summer.

Bee W.

Yelp
Not very welcoming to non-Korean speakers - one of the servers who seemed like an owner was not very pleasant. Seemed out off to have to serve us. The male server was much nicer. Not attentive service. We had to track them down for more water and to check out. Their banchan was pretty good. Kimchi and mac noodles in the mix. He decided on the cold noodles and me seafood stew. The food was okay. I think I prefer our usual place as their service is friendlier. Shared parking lot.

Ray K.

Yelp
Finally made it back after years not visiting here. Got the bulgogi bowl with fish cake and broccoli, so perfect in combination. Great and quick service by the staff. Always love the side dishes.

Shaina L.

Yelp
I have been craving Bossam for so long but I have NEVER ate it. I looked everywhere and Silla is the only restaurant I saw that serves it! This was my fiancé and I's first time at this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We walked in and we were greeted right away. Mind you, it was lunch time during a weekday and it wasn't as busy so we were seated right away! Our waitress was super kind! Every seating does have a cooking stove. It gives off really homey and small business feels indoor. We only ordered the reg Bossam and it was enough to feed 2 people. We really enjoyed it because it came with sides + lettuce!! Not having Bossam before, it wasn't bad for my first time!! Some of the pork was a little bit dryer (the meat part) but for the most part it was good and had a hint of flavor. It comes with a side of fermented cabbage. It def had a taste to it which I didn't mind but my fiancé did not enjoy it. Otherwise, we enjoyed adding all sorts of sides with our Bossam! By the end, we were stuffed and happy with our choice! Def will come again :)

Yelp
This is an old school Korean spot in Aurora. I remember eating here literally decades ago, and when I asked the man at the front counter how long they'd been around, he just said "something like 40 years?" Very chill spot. Appeared really clean and neat. Waitress was super fast. Got the bulgogi cooked in the kitchen (you can cook at the table if you'd like) and my gf got the bibimbap. Sides were great and plentiful, and they offered us more once we finished them. (Should have taken them up on that for leftovers!) Both dishes were fantastic, and we got a side of potstickers that were really nice and tasty and crispy on the outside. Really enjoyable meal. Was efficient, but I feel that we could have lingered more if we had a bigger group with us. Will definitely not be waiting another couple of decades to go back!

Kendra L.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and have enjoyed my visit each time. The staff is friendly, it's clean and the food hits the spot! I was craving spicy cold noodles because of how warm it's been recently and the icy cold broth was so refreshing. I wish there was more meat in my soup but that's my only complaint! One day I'll spend some more money and get the bbq, bossam and pork neck soup :)

Joy Q.

Yelp
Will keep coming back. I really enjoyed the pork belly and all the Bonchons. The beef stew was a solid option for a cold day

Alice Z.

Yelp
Great meal for a rainy day. We tried the pork neck soup (very flavorful, a bit spicy for my taste w mustard seeds, but probably should have just ordered a milder soup). For the bbq, really loved the flavor of their galbi. Cholon was good also but pieces were a bit thick. Overall would come again to try the other soups since that seems to be their specialty

Kim M.

Yelp
The food here, 5/5 stars. Their Korean bbq is so good but their noodle soups. Now that's something special! The ambiance is great for families or for a date night. I would highly recommend the seafood noodle soup dish. It's always a struggle between that dish and the kimchi stew or their army stew.

Gwenners E.

Yelp
Delicious. Ordered Korean BBQ to go and had lovely food. Our friends from out of town were dazzled. We liked the beef and chicken dishes. Wish we'd stayed in-restaurant to learn more about all of the sides.

Lee S.

Yelp
Service is friendly and attentive. Food was average to less than average :( Side dishes were good. Dolsot bibimbap with Bulgogi (mixed rice in hot pot with beef). The rice was so soggy it ruined the whole thing and it had so little bulgogi in it. We also got a soondubu jjigae (soft tofu soup) and it was also just okay. They have a good selection so it might be worth it to try something else, but the two dishes we got were meh.

April T.

Yelp
The food was VERY good. My friend recommended this restaurant for Mul Nangmyeon but we ended up getting korean bbq. We were a group of 5 heavy drinkers. 4 bottles of Cass and 3 bottles of Soju on tol of our food cost $250. We were never left wanting. The service was on point with all of our orders. Highlye recommend this place. The food was so good I forgot to order my nangmyeon!

Clement C.

Yelp
One of the many Korean restaurants in Aurora. I was there for lunch on a Saturday and it was relatively busy. The server explained to me if I needed attention I should push the button glued to the wall. I did that when I wanted to place my order and when I was ready to pay. No one came to the table both times and I had to flag down one of the servers. As for the food, I had the beef bibimbap which had lots of veggies, lettuce, carrot, soy bean sprout, cucumber and an raw egg all came in a sizzling hot stone bowl, plus five side dishes. The veggies and the side dishes were nice, but overall the bibimbap was bland, needed a lot of the red sauce that came in a squeeze bottle.

Galya O.

Yelp
Two words: KIMCHI CHEEGAE. Best I've ever had. Super rich and flavorful broth that isn't too heavy or too light, with tender pork belly pieces, crunchy kimchi leaves, and soft squishu tofu bites . Sooo good with a hot bowl of rice.

Graydon L.

Yelp
Excellent food, Don-Mandu-Gook was the best, it had beef, egg, zucchini, mushroom beside the normal rice cake and mandu and the pork belly is another excellent dish

Lare M.

Yelp
A hidden gem. It's busy during lunch and a little slow. The food is delicious and good price for lunch.

Thao T.

Yelp
Don't read the low reviews as most are pretty outdated. Silla has easily become one of my favorite Korean restaurants in colorado. It's affordable, HUGE portions, great food, and the service has been solid every time I've went. One thing to note is that the kitchen does close 30 min prior to closing so at 8:30pm. Ive seen them turn people down who come in after this time.

Glenda F.

Yelp
Thank goodness I found another Korean Restaurant as the other one I went to before closed down. I ordered a Bibimbap in the clay bowl which I love because the bottom of the rice gets all crunchy. YUM! Also I love the egg on top with all of the veggies. They bring out many sides for the table to share which is an addition to your entree so slow your roll on appetizers. The Bulgogi is great too. I ordered that to go and it's plenty for two meals. Go here is you like Korean food you will not be disappointed.

C R.

Yelp
The Korean food scene in Denver, as you may know, is absolutely terrible. ...In comes Silla. The menu is simple but well executed. The portions are large. The service is no frills but you get everything you need. Considering the price point, I don't think there's any room for complaints. It's good stuff.

David H.

Yelp
Made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night. Walked in and our table was reserved and ready for us. Ordered the Kalbi short ribs and soft tofu soup (soon doobu) with meat and seafood. The tofu soup was wonderful - full of silky soft tofu, meat and vegetables. I could envision eating that on a cold snowy day and be instantly warmed. All of the banchan side dishes were yummy. Can't wait to go back again!

Brandee J.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Denver area. Delicious, authentic, and priced well. I love their soon tofu soup, lunch specials, and stone bowls

Jesse K.

Yelp
When I think of korean food, that cold noodle was always on my mind as a craving food. I'm usually critical toward korean food but I have only have few things to say about this place. Price: some people think it might be pricey but I think it is good price for the size of the portion. Cold noodle called 'nengmyun' was so good. Kimchi dumpling in appetizer wasn't really my type. And don't get me wrong. I love dumplings. It's my favorite type of dishes from any Asian restaurants but here.....I'm just not quite sure. Service was nice. They are very helpful and always make sure if I need anything even before I request. Yes. They have a push bell thing that you can only find it in korean restaurant. But I didn't even have to push the button. Then why would I only give 4 star than 5 star? Because of dumpling - I love dumpling, okay? It's my review and it is just as subjective as it can be haha But I highly recommend the nengmyun (I actually don't know how to spell this one but got it from other reviewer).

David L.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant since I was a child. This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Their dishes are authentic and you can tell the food is handled with such care. From soups to the bbq meats, Silla offers a wide variety of food to offer. My top favorites are their dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap and their Galbi (short rib). The reason I like this restaurant more than all the others in the area is because the flavor profile for the meat is spot on. The marinade isn't too sweet and the meat is always super tender. also if you don't feel like cooking your own meat, you can ask the cooks to grill the meat for you. You also have the option to grill the meat yourself. I prefer to cook it myself so I can have it to the temperature of my choosing, but the chefs do a very good job grilling it to your preference as well.

Heather K.

Yelp
My best friend and I are on a mission to look for a great Korean restaurant in Denver! This is by far NUMBER 1!!! Here's why... 1. Looking at the simple menu thats mostly in Korean, you KNOW this is some authentic shit~ 2. After ordering we get not 4, not 5 but EIGTH different side dishes?! Mind-blowing 3. Their kimchi is BOMB, a must criteria for a good Korean restaurant 4. Big portions and awesome handcut meat for the barbeque! 5. A bunch of koreans at the restaurant, always a good sign, haha! Now the ONLY reason why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that they were VERY understaffed so you may not get service thats always quick BUT they are really responsive so just gotta be patient. I'm definitely coming back for more!!!

Sara C.

Yelp
After all these years and going to different Korean restaurants... Silla is the best in my opinion with the most banchan and delicious portions. Way to go Silla!!!!

Adam Y.

Yelp
Silla is probably one of the restaurants where you can always find more Korean speaking customers than English speaking customers in town, which is always an indication the food must be quite authentic and tasty. Besides their bibimbab, soups, cold noodles and BBQ, their Korean style hotpots are also quite popular. They have black goat hotpot, kimchi and pork ribs hotpot, beef tripe casserole hotpot, ham casserole hotpot, pork neck bone potato hotpot, mixed mushroom hotpot and seafood hotpot. The price is higher than most entrees, but the portion is large enough for 2 to 3 people and many people will bring home the leftover soup to make another meal or two. Here is their beef tripe casserole hotpot. Besides the beef tripe casserole, you can also find varieties of vegetables, potato, rice cake and udon. Quite a lot of ingredients. Certainly worth a try.

Haley L.

Yelp
Typical Korean restaurant that you can find anywhere. The food was okay but the place did not seem so clean. As soon as I walked in, I smelled strong Clorox. I think they were cleaning the tables with it. The cold buckwheat noodles was good, but the yookgaejang was very disappointing. The dishes come out with many small side dishes. It was my first visit in Denver and found this place on yelp.

Elisabeth N.

Yelp
Went here with hubby. We love korean food and this place was great. They surprising had the best picked radish banchan!!! Omg. It was strong, in a good way, and has a sweetness to it. When we went there, the bean sprout banchan was way too salty for my liking. Hubby ordered manduk guk and they had the biggesr dumplings lol. I had topokki and bulgogi bibimbap. Will be back for sureeeeeee

Lady B.

Yelp
This is a solid spot for no-frills Korean food and the portions are very large. Their dolsot bibimbop [hot stone crispy rice dish] was solid as well as their gamjatang. The service is also no-frills but very quick. If you're Korean you know all about this... if you're not, don't take it personally. They're just trying to hustle.

Beatriz M.

Yelp
I love to support locally owned restaurants, and this restaurant deserves all the praise. This is my boyfriend and I's go-to Korean place. The food and the service is great. There are very nice servers with the best smiles :) This restaurant has a special place in my heart. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into running this business. Keep it up!

Shawn L.

Yelp
Sooooo kind staffs and good food Always recommend to others Either lunch or dinner time is pretty busy, so schedule your visit

Caitie C.

Yelp
HUGE portion sizes, delicious food, fair prices, and good service! Appeared very authentic, especially with the little doorbell at the table. Instead of waiters hovering, you just ring the bell and they'll come to you- much more efficient in my opinion. We got the dolsot bulgogi bibimbop, donkatsu, and gamjatang (dinner). At first I thought the prices were kind of high until I saw they give you enough for 3 meals. Very generous meat portions. Flavorful but not overly salted. The banchans were nice- the radish kimchi was really great. The gamjatang has bones so be careful when biting down- be ready to suck and gnaw around the bones It can be difficult to find authentic Asian food with good service but this place has both. Our waiter was super friendly and explained the dishes to us. Definitely recommend this place for Korean food!

Regina P.

Yelp
I return from my Yelp hiatius to grace you all with this recommendation. Prepare to be transported across the Pacific! I consider myself well versed in the world of Korean cuisine, but thus far none have come close to Silla. Authentic food lies behind a strip mall exterior, but don't let that daunt you my friends! The soondubu is the best I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, as well as the buckwheat noodle soup. Divine! Homemade recipes lie behind these doors, a hidden gem! I will return again. 5/5 stars -Regina Phalange M.D.

Jennie B.

Yelp
Simply the best Korean food I have ever had. The radish soup is light and delightful. The pork & chicken boolgogi are both delicious. They start you off with six varieties of Korean pickles, all of which are yummy. Give them a try, your taste buds will be in heaven.

Christina B.

Yelp
Bibim Naengmyeon was too good. Everyone was friendly and offered fast service I can't wait to come back!

Ramy S.

Yelp
The food is delicious. Their cold noodle and galbi lunch special is my favorite! And the service is exceptional.

Stacey C.

Yelp
This restaurant is so underrated! They're so much better under the new management and they deserve a 5 star! I would say they have the best yook gae jang and neng myun in town. The yookgae jang was so flavorful and the meat was super tender. Neng myun broth was also really really good. They also have these lunch special deals for a good price. Definitely going back more often!

John S.

Yelp
Came here with my Korean business partners for dinner. Strip mall location is a bit sketchy, but the food was good. Not up to Seoul standards, but good. Table service was "Korean" efficient, or party of 8 wanted for nothing. The place could use a makeover - the dining area is very tired and just a tad dirty - surprising for a Korean spot. Fair value for your money, I would come back.

Nana K.

Yelp
If you go here for one thing, make it the NENGMYUN (cold noodle). It is a MUST. As a Korean, it's hard to find this traditional dish done so well outside of NY and LA, but Silla nails it every time. On my top 5 list of foods I need to have whenever I visit CO. After one sip of the broth, you can tell right away that it was simmered with care - the depth is insane. Every component of the dish - the beef, pickled veggies, the chewy noodles - is in harmony with each other. Also does well as takeout. You get the noodles, broth, and toppings packed separately. A+ flavor profile and execution Another favorite: the GALBEE TANG (beef SHOET rib soup) - delicious and perfect comfort food.

Cherie C.

Yelp
Solid Korean fare. The kimchee dumplings were fine. The bibimpbap was delicious, with flavorful meat and lots of fresh vegetables. The rice had that great crust formed from the hot cast iron bowl. And the sauce was delicious though not spicy. As the name suggests (it translates roughly into "mixed rice," I'm told), you mix the contents of the bowl and douse it in that delicious sauce and you've got a satisfying meal. The noodles, on the other hand, were quite spicy. We ordered a cold noodle dish that I'd heard was one of their best dishes. It was flavorful with a spicy gochujang sauce on the buckwheat noodles and a hot, horseradish-y mustard sauce on the side that upped the heat level by a lot. My husband couldn't get enough of it. They have good banchan options--I love all those delicious little dishes that come with the meal. Kimchee was good. So were the pancakes. Service was good. They've got call buttons to order, get more water, get beer, etc. But staff also checked in on us regularly.
