"Flying somewhat under the radar, this extremely likeable restaurant is run by a Korean husband-and-wife team who combine skills learnt in Europe’s top kitchens with techniques and flavours from their homeland. The daikon tarte Tatin and ‘Mont Blanc’ dessert are stand-outs, but all the dishes are polished and poised, rather than showy or over-complicated. The room has a cool, calm and contemporary feel, where you sense that every element has been carefully considered. Tonight we ventured down to Sollip, where the owners have used their training in French & European style of cooking and fused it with Korean techniques and ingredients. They only offer a 6 course tasting menu which didn’t disappoint from start to finish. The food was as good as we hoped and nothing that touched our lips disappointed. The pairings were spot on and at £87/person, value for money. Now, the front of house, they just nailed it. From the moment we walked in, until we left, we were treated to the upmost professionalism, care and they were well versed in the dishes they were about to service. Every member of the team that served us knew what the dish was, why it was blended together with those flavours and ingredients. It was like they were challenging the chef himself. This is so rare to see among the many of the Michelin restaurants we once visited over the past 18 months. Well done team Sollip. We will be back when your menu changes to sample the magic of the next season

A great fine dining experience with a Korean twist. The chef came out to explain on of our courses and why he created it which was a nice touch. The food was delicate and tasty and the cocktails paired nicely too. My favourite dish of the tasting menu was tartlets

We spent my girlfriend’s birthday at Sollip. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, nothing you would expect in a Michelin Star restaurant. The tasting menu (mix between French/Korean) is £135 pp plus 12.5% charge. It has a good wine selection for every budget and taste. Thank you for the personalised birthday card and the cake at the end. We would come again. See you soon

Amazing, inventive food, cooked with real skill and presented beautifully. Hard to choose a favourite course, but the barbecued squab was top notch - extremely tender and packed with flavour. The daikon "tarte tatin" was the dish that came closest to being a letdown. While visually arresting, this playful homage to the French classic was unexciting on the palate. The drinks menu features many Korean favourites from soju to makgeolli, but I did sometimes struggle to identify the alleged Korean influence in the food. This, however, did nothing to harm the experience - the quality of the food stands alone.

Amazing meal out, delicious food, great service and nice atmosphere. We came here for my partner's birthday and they made her feel special also, from the soft pairing so as a non alcoholic drinker she can have a pairing to go with the food like my wine pairing - to a special treat at the end. The food was great, we loved the lamb and skate dishes, as well as the crab started dish, but all were interesting and great. A real winner of Asian flavours meets French cooking.

Excellent service, but we were expecting more from the place. The decor and the lighting was too minimalist for our taste, to the point of being dull. Most of the dishes felt bland, and even though the desserts were above expectations we left a bit disappointed.

We had the most amazing time at Sollip. The food was sensational, the wine and soft drink pairings were great, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable about each dish and drink. It was a great touch to meet the chef too. A very memorable night, thanks for making it so special for us.
