"Located in St. Ann, Jamaica and ranked No. 49, Stush in the Bush is described as a "garden to table dining experience" and, as owners Christopher and Lisa Binns conveyed, a place rooted in heritage and pride: Christopher emphasized that the food industry depends on immigrants and said being the children of immigrants is "always going to be a point of pride," while Lisa said, "Stush in the Bush is our home. It's a place where love grows and reaches deep into your soul. It is an experience rooted in local, inspired by seasonality, and cemented in creating conscious connection." - ByAbbey Stone

This Caribbean Island Is the Birthplace of Reggae and Jerk Cooking

"A family-run, mountainside dining experience outside Ocho Rios that champions Ital and plant-based, farm-to-table cooking; visitors are welcomed with a farm tour and a thoughtfully composed dinner of locally grown produce. The creative, authentic approach to Jamaican flavors makes it popular and visually striking enough to be listed among the region's most beautiful places, so reservations are recommended." - Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila is a bilingual travel writer, editor, and content marketer. The 29 Best Restaurants in Kingston, Jamaica | Eater

"At Stush in the Bush, hidden in the hills of St. Ann, owners Lisa and Christopher Binns have brought magic to the local vegan landscape with thoughtful menus inspired by the seasons and a passion for sustainability. Guests are welcomed to lunch with hors d’oeuvres that can include crispy plantain with almond hummus, yam and pineapple croquettes, and watermelon tartare. The rest of the meal is a melody of in-season flavors: spicy arrabbiata with almond ricotta, black linguine and “meatballs,” open-flame grilled pizza, or nasturtium flowers stuffed with cashew ricotta, accompanied by a spread of homemade pepper sauces and dressings. After lunch, an Earth walk through the farm — and perhaps the opportunity to help plant a tree — invites visitors to establish an intimate connection with the ingredients they just enjoyed, followed by coffee and desserts like cinnamon rolls, rum raisin ice cream, and beignets with lemon curd." - Leisha Wong

Booking on a user friendly website created the beginning of an A - one experience. We were welcomed by two people - persons and their courteous staff to an original oasis of creativity, elegance, attentiveness , vegetarian fine dining, tantalizing appropriate music and embracement of the outdoors in St Ann. Celebrations were a classic! Our friends and relatives anticipate an exquisite experience with us at Stush in the Bush. We continue to enjoy the marmalade and salad dressings as we savor this experience. Respectfully, Carol & Dr. Marion Hutchinson

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is something special. The atmosphere blends rustic charm with a modern, cozy feel — like stepping into a friend’s kitchen who just happens to be an award-winning chef. Every dish feels like it was crafted with both artistry and intention. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the staff truly cares about the food and the farmers behind it, and that pride comes through in every interaction.

Went deep into the bush and checked this spot out years ago and am so happy it’s on Google Maps. Felt like an absolute hidden gem and the folks who run it give you such a amazing experience including a tour of the farm, personalized multi course meal and drinks. Forgot it was vegan because it was just that good! Definitely check it out if you’re ever in Jamaica.

Hands down one of the top culinary experiences I've had anywhere in the world. From the moment you step foot on the grounds of Stush, you feel welcome with warmth, joy and the passion put into making this project come to life. The place itself is beautiful, with very particular details on every single decor piece and setting in place. Everything is carefully thought of and picked with love and purpose. From the stunning pieces that adorn the table setting to the cozy hanging chair near the bar, the ambiance and vibe created is unmatched. I felt like I walked right into a pinterest dream mood board. When it comes to the food, you can only prepare to be amazed by the unthinkable. With some creativity and inspiration from past travels, magic is brought from the imagination right to your palate and plate. Some of the combinations of food you hear about is unheard of and the fact that it is 100% plant-based completely blows my mind. The highlight of the experience for me definitely had to be the amazing food served. The freshness and quality is there. I loved the Jamaican mezze, just as much as I loved the hot sauces made in-house (love that the first ingredient is love), and the mains served. My favourite had to be the Callaloo dip and the jackfruit and breadfruit tostada. Stush in the bush offered me one of the top experiences I could never forget.

Go there with your bellies empty!. All food and drinks are organically grown. It was an amazing experience. Bring a light sweater. It's really cool in the hills.

Unique, award winning culinary experience that truly is not to be missed! Your vehicular trek into the Jamaican hillside country is lined with scenic views and the location itself is not to be missed. If you're not vegetarian before you dine here, you are very likely to strongly consider converting because this wonderfully exquisite experience for the palate will leave you feeling inspired and invigorated, not simply full! This is a MUST do when you visit Jamaica! Definitely do reservations!

The best outdoor food experience I’ve ever had the owners Chris & Lisa (was on a food inspiration vacation) as well as the servers, head chef gave a brilliant and intriguing take on meat options with an vegan/ ital spin on all menu courses. The ride there was a bit steep and bumpy but it’s totally worth the views of the countryside and overall environment. Everything supplied was grown on the farm. There was also a tour of the farm where stories of the history of the place was told alongside pointing out other flora growing in the farm.

I'm married to a Jamaican man and I visit every other month. This is hands down the BEST experience I've ever had in the country. It was worth every single penny. Chris and Lisa are phenomenal at what they do. It's not just dinner...it's an experience.
