The Best Brunch Spots In San Diego - San Diego - The Infatuation

"This fun-sized cottage bakes up fluffy buttermilk biscuits that serve as the foundation for breakfast sandwiches stuffed with cheesy eggs—smothered in gravy or maple syrup—or fried chicken sandwiches like the motherclucker, a Nashville hot two-hander that might necessitate a nap. Sunnyboy Biscuit Company Serves Up Southern Comfort in Difficult Times - Eater San Diego

"Sunnyboy Biscuit Company, located on Park Boulevard, is a Southern-styled eatery specializing in biscuits. The restaurant decided to continue operating during the dine-in service ban in San Diego County by pivoting to a takeout-only model but keeping the entire menu intact. The menu features a variety of biscuit-based dishes, including biscuits and gravy, eggs and biscuits, lunchtime biscuit sandwiches, and more. The biscuits are available by the bucket with whipped honey butter and seasonal fruit compote. The restaurant also plans to offer more blue plate specials and desserts like strawberry shortcakes, pies, cakes, and cobblers." - Candice Woo

Super awesome place! Got the classic breakfast sandwich with sausage. Egg was cooked fresh and was super buttery and delicious. The sausage also felt like it was made in house, and wasn't too salty! The prices are great too, and the whole place is super cozy and down to earth, kind of a beachy vibe. Will be going back again for sure.

Google
Incredible local breakfast spot! The food was spot on with the the biscuits being sizeable, fluffy, and moist. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy with cheesy eggs, so savory and flavorful. The breakfast sandwich was perfect with sausage. However, if you're craving something sweet, you gotta try the cinnamon swirl toast. Coffee and service we're also on point. 11/10 you gotta try this place!

Google
We stumbled across Sunnyboys looking for a breakfast spot in the area and I am so glad we came here. The service was great, friendly staff. The food was incredible you can tell everything is made fresh and in house. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The Orange Juice was freshly squeezed and bottled so it's easier to grab and go. We both had breakfast sandwiches both were delicious. If you're in the area give them a visit you won't be disappointed.

Google
Soooooo yummy! We got the biscuits and gravy, added bacon and eggs and tried the rosemary fried chicken which was delicious and tender as I’m usually picky when it comes to fried chicken. Gravy was amazing and had potato in it! We also got a couple of things from the bakery and yuuuuum! Their fresh OJ with rosemary was great too. Overall, definitely on my favorites and excited to try more from them!

Google
The moment we pulled up and saw the quaint cottage style restaurant, we knew we made the right choice. The biscuits are fluffy and delicious. The fried chicken came in monster portions and was so juicy. This is 100% a stop everything we are in SD (especially so close to the zoo).

Google
It's such a comfy and inviting atmosphere. The staff is so kind, and I loved seeing the families together enjoying tasty biscuits. My biscuit with eggs and cheese definitely hit the spot. They also sell other pastries, jams, and other novelty yumm. It is very affordable and delicious and plan to bring friends back soon!

Google
This place has some of the best biscuits I’ve tried in San Diego! Tucked in a corner off Park Blvd., SunnyBoy is serving breakfast biscuits and lunch goodness for dine in or take out. They also serve really great pastries and coffee. Would highly recommend this spot. Outdoor patio is dog friendly!

Google
As a native of the southeastern United States it’s kinda hard to impress me with biscuits but Sunnyboy definitely impressed me. We ordered two egg sandwiches, one with bacon and one with the rosemary fried chicken. Both options were exceptional, I honestly might have to flip a coin on which one to choose next time I visit Sunnyboy. A side of gravy, rosemary potatoes and the peach biscuit brûlée rounded out our order. The perfect bite was adding the gravy to your sandwich and then dousing it with their 7 Pepper Hot Sauce, amazing. I did not want our sandwiches to finish. The peach brûlée while decadent, which is all ask for in a sweet dish, lacked a little depth and was a bit dry. Nonetheless, the flavors were all there. Wash it down with a black coffee or in my wife’s case, a salted caramel mocha, and you’re all set. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the pastry items.

Yelp
Cute little place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was reasonably priced and had a good portions. I ordered the Motherclucker and my friend ordered the Sunrise Clucker. The food came out in less than 5 minutes!! The Motherclucker was like a spicy chicken sandwich with the perfect biscuits (not dry at all!!). Both meals came with a little bit of apple sauce to end the meal! Definitely recommend if you want a cute, quick meal!

Yelp
We came on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but not too bad. There's no parking so we had to find parking across the street which isn't bad either. There's inside and outside seating. We sat outside. We ordered the classic biscuit with jam And the chicken biscuit. The chicken was super good but honestly our biscuit was cold and dry :( I was super sad but maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. But they're known for their biscuits so that was disappointing. We did see they were starting to sell smash burgers so we'll be back to try that but I don't think we would be ordering any biscuits again. Oh and $6 for freshly squeezed juice in a little bottle is insane but it was definitely good!

Yelp
Today we were driving by at lunch time and saw the "now serving smashburgers Friday and Saturday 11-2" sign. The biscuits here are already amazing. They have a dish called the WAM (What A Mess) with gravy and potatoes and bacon, and go ahead and just get a chicken breast on top. Amazing! So we park and head into the small corner shop to order at the counter. There are a few tables inside and a lot more out back on the sidewalk. Service was fast and friendly and I ordered the double smash with a Tot Waffle! The burger is amazing. I couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. Thin but still juicy, with a delicious flavor! And the Waffle Tot (it's actually Tot Waffle I believe) was fantastic. Like a potato waffle with scallions, and I'm not sure what else was in it but it tasted like a loaded baked waffle potato and I'm probably going to get one every time I go here now. Which will be as many Fridays at lunch that I can manage! I'll get some pics next time. It was all business this trip.

Yelp
Came in the morning on a weekday and got an egg sandwich with sausage. The biscuit was very soft and flakey. The egg was delicately scrambled with cheese. The sausage was fried and I initially thought it was fried chicken but it was a welcome surprise, very flavorful, thicker than a preformed frozen patty. It was obviously a made in house and hand formed sausage patty. It came with a small container of apple sauce which I found unnecessary as I prefer a savory breakfast. It was a little pricy, but overall the sandwich was very well done the delicate biscuit went perfectly with the delicately prepared eggs. I wish there were jalapeños or maybe a salsa to spice it up. Parking is mostly on the street, there 2 parking spots on the left that are reserved for Sunnyboys the others are reserved for the liquor store so just pay attention to what the stalls say. There's a few tables inside but it's kinda small. They take online orders and there's a pick up window so I suggest that as an option. I'll be back to try one of the rosemary fried chicken biscuit sandwiches maybe the mother clucker. There's also some freshly baked muffins in the pastry case that I want to try too.

Yelp
The shop is small but really cute. Lots of options for sandwiches and pastries The biscuit itself was sooo good! I didn't love the apple butter, but the biscuit is not super dry, there was so much bacon in it, so overall great sandwich ! My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich, and that was better than the breakfast sandwich. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful and had a really good mayo !

Yelp
The biscuits here are very soft and buttery! I got the biscuits and gravy with their country fried steak - so good! The gravy the star of the dish, even after I was full, I couldn't stop digging into the gravy - it was bursting in flavors. My husband order the egg sandwich with bacon and sausage. While he enjoyed the sandwich, we think all the add ons made it too difficulty to eat the sandwich. I don't recommend doing what he did :) The parking wasn't the easiest but we found parking.

Yelp
Food was delicious just as we remembered it from last time. They changed the inside seating and now have outside seating. We got two breakfast sandwiches, two coffee, an orange juice and a banana loaf for my daughter. Total $43 with how prices have sky rocketed I can see how the prices have increased. But the food was delicious non the less. Service was good the guy in the front explained the menu as I was a little confused. We finished EVERYTHING

Yelp
Food is good but don't forget the jam, makes it so much better. Service isn't the best, reminds me of Biscuit bi*ch where it's part of their culture to be rude, which is fine if it's expected. My order wasn't complete so I had to drive back :) locals only for this spot maybe. Tip: if you're ordering for multiple people, ask for orders to be boxed separately, they combine all side orders together which makes sharing eggs a bit harder when it's for different parties. This info isn't shared with you so be advised.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!! I'm a biscuits and gravy lover and this place truly hits the spot. I literally had a dream about biscuits and woke up deciding to find somewhere to satisfy that craving. Found this place and it is now going to be one of my top San Diego food recs. The establishment itself is really darling and the service is friendly and personable (shoutout to the extremely sweet cashier). Plenty of seating (especially outdoors) and the corner building especially stands out in the sunshine. As for food!! I got the biscuits and gravy with the rosemary country fried chicken*. SO good and such a generous portion that I had to pack leftovers. Such crispy flavorful meat and the biscuit was so fluffy and tender. Gravy was flavorful. 10/10 Biscuit and butter and jam was also so yummy. Fluffy biscuit yet again. Butter was fresh and whipped. Jam was sweet but not excessively so. 10/10 I also got a blueberry biscuit for the next morning's breakfast and that was amazing as well. 10/10 Can't wait to come back. *(It could also be the country fried steak. I'm not sure as I'm writing this review a month later and can't tell from my own pictures LOL.)

Yelp
L.A. Native having an SD vacation weekend. Yelped this place and the biscuits jumped off the screen! The bacon and egg Biscuit sandwich I got was very good ...but the friendliness of the staff made it five-star! Would recommend .

Yelp
If you haven't been here you NEED to this spot is an incredible breakfast spot and everything is home made and super fresh. This is ultimate comfort food! Perfect stop before heading to the zoo! If it is a weekend you should expect a wait but it is well worth it!

Yelp
We've been itching to try this spot for awhile and so glad we braved the crowd and parking situation. Everything was fantastic from the biscuit sandwiches to the coffee!

Yelp
SO DELICIOUS. I don't think I've had such a great breakfast spot in a while, and this place checked all the boxes. Amazing food, AWESOME customer service (I mean they were all so nice and welcoming), and ample seating in the back if you go early enough. They even have the little fans to ward off flies. I really appreciate this place for its unique items like the cinnamon roll we got that was pressed into a toast like texture. You can tell the owner prides himself in what he serves all it all comes together in one big cohesive theme. This is a must try if you're in San Diego.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday morning around 9am and the place was empty. We walked in and ordered our biscuits at the counter and then sat outside to enjoy. They had delicious coffee options and cute merchandise to purchase. Our favorites were the millennial smash and the sunrise clucker. The fried chicken was very flavorful and moist. The biscuits were all fabulous and a large portion size. I would highly recommend this spot. The only negative was the flies swarming the outdoor patio - pretty gross and made it difficult to enjoy a meal outside.
google avatar

Alyssa N.

Yelp
We loved this place!! My boyfriend and I visited on a Sunday morning and parking was tough - it's located at a cross street and many of the nearby streets are one-ways. We found some parking a couple blocks away on a residential street. It was busy when we visited, the line was out the door. They have the menu inside and outside while you wait. Plenty of outdoor patio seating. The employees were nice and you can tell everyone in the neighborhood loves them. I forgot the name of the dish we got but it was their special for the weekend. It came with salsa verde, eggs, and sausage/brisket. This plate was HUGE - you can easily share it with 3 people. We loved the flavor of each ingredient, and I the biscuit was delicious!! We definitely had a food coma after lol. We would visit again.

Yelp
Very cute corner spot. We were looking for a dog friendly spot to meet up with a friend. Lots of options to choose from. My friend ordered the Biscuit BLT. I played it safe and ordered the Biscuits & Gravy. I wanted to add a sunny side egg but they were out of shelled eggs? My friend really enjoyed his breakfast. I liked the biscuit but the gravy was too sludgy and the sausage seem sparse. It was a generous portion, I was only able to eat half the boat. Service was good. Order at the counter and pick up your food when called. We had our food within minutes. Condiments and paper towels are on the table with these cool fans to keep the flies away. You bus your own tables. I'll come back to try one of the biscuit sandwiches, or grab some biscuits Togo.

Yelp
Omgggg came across this place on an insta roundup of brekkie sandwiches and they did not disappoint! The cashier helped us decide and she did not steer us wrong! We got the sunrise clucker which was so delicious! We added on the biscuit w jam which felt so nostalgic. We also got some sort of peach cinnamon roll thing? All of it was decedent and amazing. We rolled out of there hahaha Sat outside on a sunny morning! Not much indoor seating but that doesn't matter to us :) Def want to go back for the smash burger!

Yelp
My current favorite breakfast spot, I'm such a sucker for breakfast friend chicken and their breakfast sandwiches are stellar. Great coffee too!

Yelp
Had to try this famous and very popular biscuit and Gravy place by SunnyBoy in San Diego. It's on the corner and mainly street parking. They have two small parking spaces in front that shares with the liquor store next to it. I would say it's really only one parking spot as the other is too small to park and it's in front of their pick up window. We actually got lucky to sit inside as the outdoor seating area was full. We got to see them in action and the big crowd and line to this place. We ordered a hot and cold mocha. I preferred the cold mocha better as the hot one was way sweet with syrup for me. We order two biscuits, cheddar egg and gravy with added bacon. They were generous with their bacon portion and gravy. I actually ordered something different to try something else. I had their biscuit, cheddar egg sandwich with honey butter and added avocado. They gave a generous amount of avocado. They use local honey to made their butter but put on the biscuits, I barely tasted it. I thought it would soak it to make it a buttery biscuit. Was a little disappointed it didn't have as much flavor for our meal. I used some of my boy's bacons to make it a little salty. Good customer service but very busy to make it personal friendly. I rate this more 3.5 stars than 4. [54R,2024].

Yelp
This was my first time here even though I have passed this place many times driving or walking by. Each time, telling myself that I would try this place out. I was disappointed that I had never tried it sooner. The food was delicious. The decor is very rustic and has lots of pictures of farm life. I was wondering if they were old family photos? That would have been a nice touch. Being our first time, Jada (idk if I spelled that right?) was super helpful at explaining what was on the menu and gave some suggestions on what to get. She said everything is made fresh daily! She was super friendly, attentive and welcoming! We ended up getting what she recommended which were the biscuits and gravy and an egg sandwich with fried chicken. We both shared each one and they both were amazing. My friend doesn't like biscuits and gravy but really liked the ones from here. The hot sauce on the tables added a great flavor to the sandwich. We sat outside because it was such a nice day but they also have a few tables on the inside as well. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. They have a take out window, which could be a good option if you're worried about time because the wait could be a while on the weekends Parking may be an issue since there are only two parking spots for the restaurant, the others are for the liquor store next door. You would most likely need to find street parking if coming here.

Yelp
So many options, so tasty, so many years of delicious enjoyment, need I say more? Easy on the wallet, parking is fair.

Yelp
BREAKFAST PASTRIES Sunnyboy now participates in TGTG, not always but they do make the appearance. I was able to secure a Surprise Bag and my Surprise Bag was filled with (5) big pastries, all different flavors. They are big and one will either fill you or this itself can be split and shared. This surprise bag was definitely worth the money! I'll have to come back here and try a savory breakfast Sandwhich. Was hoping one would be included in the Surprise Bag.

Yelp
I first heard about Sunnyboy Biscuit Company (SBC) when I watched a YouTuber reviewing some of his favorite restaurants in San Diego. My YouTube was on auto play and his video randomly played, so I don't remember his name or the channel name. This place is pretty much open daily for breakfast and lunch (7:00 am - 2:30 pm). I came to check this place out on a Sunday morning, around 9:30 am. It was pretty busy here. The line to order was already out the door when I arrived. The line moves pretty quickly, I probably only waited about 8-10 minutes to place my order. There are menus outside that you can peruse while waiting in line. I decided on the Chicken Bacon Avocado Biscuit Sandwich, for a beverage their "Orange Skweez" (Orange Juice), and a peach Cobbler (to-go for later in the afternoon). After a short wait, my name was called and I walked to the counter to pick up my sandwich. I immediately not that it was a pretty thick sandwich. I was trying to think of how I would tackle eating it and realized that they provided a fork and knife. My assumption is some people (like me), might have difficulty taking bites, hence the fork and knife. I ended up cutting it up and taking small bites. It was delicious... I don't know how they decided on arugula and garlic mayo, but it went well with the Rosemary Fried Chicken Breast, bacon, tomato, and avocado. The chicken was nice and crispy. They provided two thick slices of bacon. All of the ingredients along with the biscuit was perfect. It was a nice mix of flavors and textures, and was so tasty! They provided a small container of apple sauce as well. I don't know if it was meant to be eaten individually or spread on the sandwich, but I dipped the chicken into it and it seemed to work. The orange juice was good. It tasted natural and fresh. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It is a bit cramped inside. They have a couple of tables and then diner style seating along the walls. I don't see how anyone could comfortably sit at the tables without someone getting bumped by others that might be moving around the dining area. It's a little more spacious outside, but on a hot day, I think it would suck sitting outside. Service was good. The woman that took my order was pleasant. Parking is limited in this area (I think this area is considered North Park). They have a few parking spaces, but they were all taken. I was able to find parking on the street. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at SBC and look forward to returning and trying out other items. 4 / 5: Food & Beverage 4 / 5: Cleanliness 4 / 5: Service 4 / 5: Overall

Yelp
I really want to like Sunnyboy because I love biscuits, but can't do it. Maybe we went on an off day (arrived on Sunday at 8am), but the biscuits were very dry, gravy fell flat, and I didn't get what I ordered. My husband ordered the sunrise clucker, which is a biscuit with a piece of fried chicken, cheese, egg, bacon, and gravy. The gravy was under seasoned and tasted packaged and the vessel it was served it was not ideal. I ordered a BYOB and asked for egg and spam by itself but got egg, cheese, spam, and pineapple jam which was their special that day. We also ordered a biscuit with butter to try. We took one bite and set it aside because it was so dry. The dough definitely needs salt, more butter, and less bake time. It was busy when we left, but don't know if I'll be back.

Yelp
I'm so mad! I'm mad that it took me so long to eat at this place. I' love biscuits and its very hard to find establishments that serve good tasting , fresh biscuits. The biscuits come out warm with butter and d jam or honey butter etc. the biscuits are not hard, stale and heavy. I'm for sure coming back here. The cheesy egg and spam biscuit sandwich was soooo good! The cheesy egg itself tasted amazing , you get good size portion of spam. Like one of the best biscuit sandwiches I have ever had. The rosemary fried chicken sandwich was good, chicken was moist, pickles was crisp. Their fresh squeezed juice selection is great too! We ordered orange juice , pomegranate/blood orange and cherry lime. All three were great! We ordered peach cobbler , upside down, apple crisp and Berry lemon biscuit pastry. Those were good as well! Quality Service was fast , staff is super nice and welcoming. The vibes are a family house vibe.

Yelp
Doesn't matter how many times I come it never disappoints, amazing prices great food, ambiance, very friendly and profesional staff what more can you ask for! LOVE IT!

Yelp
Quick breakfast place, specializing in biscuit. Coffee is ok, menu is limited. Outside seating with games is a nice touch. Food is good but doesn't make me go there again and again. Slightly overpriced imho

Yelp
Gluten free options This has been on my radar since my boyfriend LOVES biscuits and gravy, and for him this is his favorite place to get it. They also sell Swell craft soda here which I don't normally see at restaurants which is another plus! Personally, I can't have gluten due to an allergy and the cashier informed me that they can't guarantee there isn't cross contact but their options for a gluten free meal include the Rise n shine, red potato hash. I tried the red potato hash which seemed to be roasted potatoes with Rosemary, black pepper, and salt . I thought they were great, and next time I'm back I'll get the Rise n shine which comes with cheesy eggs, sausage, and red potato hash. I didn't feel glutened at all but I appreciated the heads up from the staff.

Yelp
I've never felt the need to write a review the moment food hits my mouth--until now. OMG, this place is amazing! I ordered the biscuit sandwich with egg, cheese, and fried chicken, and wow... it's *so* good. Every bite was pure bliss! I was just passing through the area and stumbled upon this gem by chance. The cashier was super friendly and helped me choose right away since it was my first time here. I seriously can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Used to really love this place, but prices have gone up a lot. Where Sunnyboy shines is in their gravy and well-cooked eggs. Biscuits could be more buttery, but as a California biscuit place, it does the job! Service is always great though! Be mindful about minimal seating and street parking. Quaint and cute interior.

Yelp
The MOTHERCLUKER was amazing. Perfectly balanced with a flakey biscuit, baby arugula, and a moist fried chicken breast. Top tier and a MUST TRY!!
google avatar

Dmitri R.

Yelp
I drive past this place all the time when it was closed, so I placed this on my must try list, and I am glad that I did. The Biscuits were very delicious. My favorite was just the Buttermilk Buscuit with honey butter and jam. The staff was very nice and took orders pretty quickly. The inside is very tiny, but they do have some outside seating to make up for it. However, that is limited as well, so I would recommend ordering to go.

Amir P.

Yelp
In terms of taste: VERY GOOD!! In terms of value for the money, not that great. What I ordered in this picture cost almost $16. It tasted really great, but not sure I'd be back because I can get something similar at Chick-Fil-A for less than half the cost. If it was a bigger biscuit/chicken patty, I could justify paying that much (think diner/restaurant portion). But this was essentially a fast food portion for double the cost.
google avatar

Calvin H.

Yelp
I love breakfast but I don't love biscuits. But these biscuits I can do. I got a couple of the breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious. The biscuit itself is fluffy and not dried out like the fast food ones. It comes with scrambled eggs, cheese and honey butter. I typically don't like sweet and savory but the honey butter complimented the biscuit pretty well. It wasn't overly sweet and added a little bit extra flavor to more bland flavor of biscuits in general. Once you add a protein (bacon, sausage, ham, etc) the cost of the sandwich is over $10. As for the portion size, I think most people will be ok with the one sandwich. But for hungry people like me, a second sandwich is too much but something else on the side is perfect.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
Love the vibe, ambiance, extensive menu and sunny tables outside. Affordable lattes to go with the brunch/breakfast are a nice touch since I usually skip getting a drink when dining out to save money. Found the cinnamon roll to be very dry, and the chicken in the chicken sandwich to be a bit hard. Still quite tasty and want to go back again and try other menu items! Service - long line on a Sunday but attentive and friendly staff made up for it imo, you can tell there's a lot of passion here which I love!!

Yelp
Stopped in Sunnyboy after some Pride activities all morning for SD Pride! The spot itself cute with plenty of outdoor seating in the back. Quick counter service as well. I ordered the Sunnyboy Biscuit with whipped butter and raspberry jam with a side of roasted red potato hash. The potato hash did not seem to have any seasoning on it and the result was lackluster. Just roasted potatoes that were a little oily. As for the biscuit, I was hoping for that pure southern biscuit that crumbles in your mouth and you know you shouldn't consume that much butter in a bread but it's so worth it. I didn't get that feeling, the biscuit was more chewy and hardened at the top vs flaky and melty. I did enjoy the Jam and butter that was in the middle. All in all I was let down ordering their specialty and I hope to find the perfect southern biscuit one day without having to fly east.

Yelp
Good food. Good ice Cold brew coffee. The Orange juice is a must. Outdoor seating. I am here on a Saturday late morning and was not to busy and it was fast to get my food. Thank you employees here again.

Yelp
A cool and small shop serving up all things biscuits and gravy, I was really looking forward to trying Sunnyboy. The interior feels like a small deli shop with a bright interior. They have inside and outdoor patio seating as well. I was fairly undecided on what to get while reading the menu outside, however once I walked-in I saw that they had a special called The Denver which caught my attention. Once they brought it out, it was a huge portion and looked amazing! There's a biscuit layer on the bottom smothered in gravy, then topped with eggs, onions, peppers, and ham. However once I started eating it, I realized I either should have ordered something else, or Sunnyboy just isn't as good as I thought it would be. Overall, the biggest disappointment of this dish was the fact that there was barely any flavor. It's as if they forgot to season it with even salt. Whether it was the eggs, the vegetables, and even the gravy to a certain extent, there was not a whole lot of flavor coming through. I really like gravy, but this one just fell flat. I also wasn't a fan of the thick cut onions; would've preferred thinner cuts so that I could have more bites with it. The only flavor honestly came from the ham's natural saltiness. The biscuit and gravy, which I thought would be the best part, was nothing special. My gf got a standalone biscuit and so I was able to compare, and even then I think the texture isn't as soft/fluffy as I wanted. The only real positive I can say is the portion which filled me up, but otherwise a forgettable meal altogether. I do want to give Sunnyboy another shot since maybe it was an off-day or I simply got the wrong item.

Yelp
Go here for a great breakfast! I got a latte and an egg/cheese sandwich, with a side of their potatoes.

Yelp
Great option if your AM flight is delayed and want to avoid Downtown San Diego for breakfast. Small location with indoor and outdoor seating (about 50 seats total). Friendly service and you could tell the food was made to order. Fair price for a large, filling, delicious breakfast. Definitely recommend, will return.

Yelp
Delicious! Took myself on a breakfast reading date, and I'm glad this was the spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but you order at the counter and then pick up your food when name is called. I got a single biscuit & gravy, and a single biscuit (with jam & butter) - it was hearty and great, maybe a slight big too much food because of the richness but no regrets. The gravy has very small pieces of sausage, I do wish they were a bit bigger, but it has a great flavor - a bit of a kick. Got the around 945 on Saturday and there was no line, at 10-1030 there was an influx, but they move quickly!

Yelp
First time here - decided to try after a coworker brought in some biscuits. I had a Peach Cobbler muffin - sadly it didn't taste like peach cobbler - I would say there was a slight hint of it. Tasted more like peach muffin. Also had an iced coffee - it was ok (simple iced coffee). It's a small location. They do have various options from pastries to biscuits (with gravy). Price wise is decent. Maybe next time I'll try a biscuit with jam or something else (especially if they're known for their biscuits).

Yelp
This is a small eatery that has outside seating and a pick up window. We decided to stop since we were in the area and while it's no cordon bleu it wasn't half bad. You order at the front, pick it up yourself and self bus your own table. Their juices were the real highlight of the meal.

Yelp
Sunnyboy Biscuit Co. is a brunch establishment that offers a homely touch with its focus on classic comfort food. Specializing in buttermilk biscuit sandwiches, biscuits with gravy, fried chicken, and a varied coffee selection, it caters to a satisfying brunch experience. Some of the dishes I tried are - Soyrizo Scramble Biscuits & Gravy--a blend of flavors with soyrizo patty, cheddar scramble, salsa verde, and country-style gravy on their signature biscuits. - The Gravy Daddy, featuring a hearty combination of beef brisket, cheesy egg, and country-style gravy on a breakfast biscuit. Their juice selection includes Cranberry Blood Orange and Orange Sunnyboy Skweez Juices, offering freshly squeezed options with fruit and herb infusions. Adding a sweet note, the Blackberry Lemon Muffin is soft, moist, and blends blackberry and lemon flavors seamlessly. Having visited Sunnyboy Biscuit Co. before, I appreciate the inviting atmosphere and consistent, efficient service. The staff's friendliness and pet-friendly approach, accommodating dogs with treats and a warm welcome, contribute to the positive experience. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it's an ideal spot for brunch, especially with furry friends.

Yelp
Honestly.... Its good, not great. The cinnamon roll was hard and the buttercream tastes like straight up butter. ALL we ordered was biscuits and gravy with the country fried steak, and the cinnamon roll and it was $30! When I got home, I wondered if I had been overcharged but looking at the prices online again I don't think we were. It's just that crazy expensive. $10+ for a subpar cinnamon roll is thievery. I work in a restaurant myself so I really hate to be that person but I kind of wish I went back and asked for a refund for at least that... . oh well

Yelp
What a cute little place in North Park! Came here for lunch with a friend and we both enjoyed our meals. Everything on the menu looked good and it took us a while to decide. Food came in cardboard food trays with plastic utensils. The biscuits were so flaky and delicious. I ordered the Spuds 222 which came with roasted cubed red potatoes, two thick slices of bacon, a juicy sausage patty, scrambled egg with cheese, and a biscuit on the side. The biscuit with honey butter and jam was drool worthy. My friend ordered the chorizo scramble over the biscuit special and she loved it too. We each bought some of their baked goods to go too. Orders were taken at the counter and your name is called when your food is ready. Everyone there was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Yelp
Came here for the first time yesterday (after talking about going forever). Was surprised there was a line but that's a good thing typically in my eyes. Small and cute inside, amazing staff, friendly and sweet ( even have doggo treats!). I got the Pastrami biscuit special and was absolutely blown away. It came on a massive, buttery everything bagel seasoned biscuit. Next was a ton of house smoked pastrami and scrambled eggs topped off with some melted greyuere cheese that really took it to the next level. The little side of applesauce kinda threw me off but I think it's traditional with corned beef but I didn't find it necessary as the sandwich was perfection as is. I couldn't even finish it and I was starving! The outside patio is something to be mentioned as well, loved the Bright yellow color aesthetic of it all. Overall it was absolutely fantastic and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Got two biscuit sandwiches to go and they were objectively delicious! It was busy even on a weekday morning, but I should have checked the bag because I paid for a large gravy and we got one small one. Would absolutely eat it again and I recommend online ordering unless you like standing in line.
