SF-style burritos, dankwrap, and a hidden bar

"We see your beach sandwich, and we raise you a beach burrito from Super Burrito, a casual Mexican spot in Arverne that also makes one of our favorite takes on the Crunchwrap Supreme. (Theirs is called the Dankwrap.) Make your burrito super with avocado and sour cream, consider a stop at Rockaway Tiki Bar across the street for a to-go piña colada, and then make a beeline for the water. The beach nearest to Super Burrito is for surfing only, so if you don’t own a board, consider walking down a bit to where the lifeguards are and chasing your burrito with a dip in the ocean." - willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, neha talreja
"Super Burrito started as a seasonal stand at Rockaway Beach. It now has year-round locations down by the water and further north in Williamsburg and as of 2025, also in the West Village. Burritos are the thing to order. The al pastor is the best meat on the menu, but the chicken is good, too. Or, try a California burrito, with meat, cheese, and french fries. The bar at the back of the restaurant, called 320 Club, has cheap thrills, like “pico back” shots with pico de gallo and Adios Motherfuckers." - Eater Staff
"“Super burrito” is the other name for Mission-style burritos, and these ones resemble the monsters you find in San Francisco more than any others on our list. They’re very big, the tortillas are steamed, and they’re shamelessly overstuffed with a sour cream-coated mixture of beans and meat. Just make sure to let them know you want to “make it Super.” Super Burrito’s original location is in Rockaway Beach, because, duh, the beach. But this second location in Williamsburg has a semi-hidden bar in the back that’s open until 2am." - neha talreja, willa moore
"Super Burrito started in Rockaway Beach, but now Williamsburg has an outpost, and it’s one of the best spots in the neighborhood for a quick handheld meal. This counter-service place specializes in big, meat-stuffed Mission-style burritos, although they also serve some bowls, quesadillas, and oversized tacos on flour tortillas. Pick your format and protein (al pastor is the correct choice here), and have plenty of napkins ready. The room looks like a ’70s pizza parlor, with a few fast food-style booths and some stools bolted to the ground, and there’s a semi-hidden bar in the back that’s open until 2am. photo credit: Super Burrito" - Bryan Kim
"Having expanded to 320 Bedford Avenue, Super Burrito started as a Rockaways beach burrito spot and now serves some of my favorite burritos in town — the al pastor burrito is the standout, their egg-stuffed breakfast burritos are only available daytime, and I’m also a fan of their take on the Taco Bell Crunchwrap; at night the shop opens a bar in the back." - Eater Staff
