"Unlimited Korean barbecue is on offer at this laid-back Korean buffet, along with one of the city’s most interesting line-ups of protein. Alongside the traditional bulgogi and pork belly, find baby octopus, beef intestine, and pork jowl, all of which are prepared quickly on the tableside grill." - Amy McCarthy

Everything was great! For the price there was a large selection to choose from. I liked how they had the more common meats available through the buffet to grab. The servers were very attentive on changing the cooking plate and were friendly.

An incredible place to celebrate a special day. The quality of the food is excellent, as is the attention of the staff. I highly recommend the all-you-can-eat option, which is excellent value for money. If you like alcohol, I recommend trying the famous Korean drink, Terra beer with soju.

I ordered Ginseng chicken soup with perilla seeds; the soup was warm and delicious, but the chicken was a bit dry. The service was okay but could be better. The cinnamon tea served at the end was a nice touch and tasted good.

My husband and I came to this restaurant at 9:00 PM. Their posted hours clearly say they close at 10:00 PM. From the moment we walked in, the owners looked visibly annoyed and hesitant to let us in. If they didn’t want to serve any more customers, they should’ve just said so at the door instead of reluctantly allowing us in and then treating us like a burden. The server came to take our order in a rushed, impatient manner, pressuring us to order quickly. Food came out fast, but by around 9:30 — after only 15 minutes of eating — they slammed the check on our table along with the dessert. No subtlety, no grace — just a clear message: leave soon. Then, at 9:45, while we were still eating, a staff member came up and bluntly told us to pay immediately because they were closing. This wasn’t a polite heads-up — it was an obvious attempt to kick us out. At that point, there was only one other table of customers left in the restaurant. We weren’t being slow, we ordered quickly, and we weren’t lingering — but we were treated like we were in the way. The food was okay, but the service was so unprofessional and disrespectful that it ruined the entire experience. If the restaurant doesn’t want to seat guests after 9:00 PM, then clearly post a last seating time. But don’t accept customers and then try to push them out like this. This was my first visit — and definitely my last. I spend my money to be treated with basic respect, not rushed, ignored, and pushed out the door.

Was delicious. Now I don’t have much experience with Korean food but I loved each and every dish. Felt light and not bloated even though I had a lot. Would come again.

The food is good but the decor and service are lacking. It's very odd but the restroom is out in a hall not connecting the restaurant. It was slow when we arrived and although we were the only customers the service was not that great. The portions were good sized and there was plenty of food to share.

It was my first time having Korean food... my friends billionth time having it, and she said it was THE BEST! We cane twice during her visit to Dallas. I'm not a meat eater, so I am glad they had teriyaki tofu and it was the best tofu I ever had in my life. I will be dreaming of that teriyaki delight. The sides are just the best. They were all so delicious and tasty. I could not try them all but I did enjoy all the vegan ones. My friend ordered BBQ beef ribs and it was waaay too much for her to eat. I would like to thank you for serving me a full glass of cinnamon tea. I can't wait to come back.

Google
Not all-you-can besides dinner. I went for lunch. The meat was good, but some was overcooked. The sides were cold except for the rice and soup. The waiter was very kind. They give cinnamon tea at the end which was good.

Yelp
My fiance and I ordered off of the a la carte menu as opposed to having AYCE BBQ, and the experience was good overall but not a standout for Korean. They serve up a bunch of different banchan to start which we loved; there were a total of 12 dishes and we honestly enjoyed most of them! For main dishes, we shared the ohsam bulgogi (marinated squid & pork in spicy sauce) and the galbi jjim (braised short ribs). The ohsam bulgogi was super flavorful and had a good level of spice, plus the portion size was pretty big. The galbi jjim was good but definitely not the best we've had in the DFW area when it comes to flavor.

Yelp
Sura Korean Bistro & All You Can Eat BBQ of Dallas is located in the Asian Trade district of Dallas serving up specialty meats and side dishes as well as an all-in inclusive a' la carte menu. We dropped by on a weekend to check out the AYCE experience and were greeted by the staff as we entered. A huge menu is posted outside of the restaurant as well as inside with display food case. We were brought upstairs to the dining area and seated promptly. As for kids they don't go by age group or weight but yet height and they have a height chart for your little one to stand next too. As for the AYCE they have and assortment of self-serve meats such as pork belly, spicy chicken, squid and much much more. They also have a small salad station with lettuce and veggies to pick from. Ordering is as simple as using the tablet provided on the table to choose your premium cut meats such s galbi and ribeye's. The rule is 1 ribeye per person and if there's more than 2 people in your group, they will serve you 1 extra per person after the first 2 are finished. We went ahead and ordered some chicken wings, jalapeno popper's, shrimp tempura, ribeye's and pork belly. We also had an order of a sushi roll, short ribs and a pork cutlet. The food came out fairly quick and our lovely waitress fired up our grill and we started cooking. They also have a condiment bar with soy sauce, sesame oil, spicy sauce and other Korean condiments for dipping. The bulgogi marinade was sweet and subtle while the meat was very thin and tender. The ribeye's were the star of the show and i enjoyed eating it with salt and sesame oil along with the short ribs. The chicken wings were deep fried golden to perfection and were very crispy as well as the shrimp tempura. The Pork cutlet was great as well, but I felt there was too much tonkatsu sauce. As for dessert we were given a small vanilla ice cream which cleansed the palate and was indeed tasty. Altogether I had a good experience and would definitely come back again. The service was great while the staff was very attentive, and the decor and environment set the mood. Thank you, Sura, for a wonderful dining experience and yummy BBQ!

Yelp
This is our favorite Korean BBQ all-you-can-eat ! Good amount of parking because it's in a plaza. They have French fries!! It's difficult to find an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ that also has: French fries, ginger dressing for crunchy lettuce salad, AND beef bulgogi. All our favorites. Most meats are available to grab from buffet line, so there is no waiting to get more cooking. They switch out the grill plates often. There are side items to order from a screen, such as dumplings and more edamame. Order is placed immediately from screen at table. Decor is minimal and plain. I think only half of the restaurant has BBQ tables, but all tables upstairs are available to grill. We made a reservation for late afternoon 5 people, but we went early another time and didnt need one. Thank you!!!

Yelp
The service was attentive and prompt. It's a typical Korean restaurant with lots of 'hansik' options. The raw beef was slightly disappointing that they used frozen beef instead of fresh. Lots of side dishes!

Yelp
I came here for lunch and not the all-you-can-eat buffet. The food was good despite the exterior part of the building looking rough: I ordered basic Korean dishes like a classic bibimbap and a clear noodle soup. Both solidly delicious. Same with the Korean sidedishes served as an appetizer. The interior of the restaurant is huge. Looks like they have a second floor as well. And Sura was empty during weekday lunchtime. If you're looking for good Korean food and don't want to deal with the crowds at Carrollton, then I'd recommend Sura.

Yelp
What an amazing find. I live Korean barbecue and when they cook it for you that's the best. This is a really nice place and wow all authentic food. The staff was super friendly and the food!!! Yum!!!!!'n. The aides were a plenary and also so good. I will be back.

Yelp
Came here with high expectations as we had not been back for awhile. We have been coming here for a decade. New menu and seolungtang looked good. Dozen side dishes were impressive. However, we were completely disappointed with our meal. The meat in the soup was completely inedible cardboard - will pack them for our dog (but even dog won't eat - has some smell the next day). Would not recommend. Deep regrets for returning to this place. Won't be coming back at all.

Yelp
Sura has new ownership, and I think they definitely improved. The AYCE is pretty easy to order with tablets at each table. The meat quality was pretty good for AYCE, and I liked the various side items they have. I did enjoy this AYCE better than all the spots in Carrolton I've had.

Yelp
It's rare that I'm so moved by a restaurant that I review it the same day. My party of two ate at Sura Sunday evening, 4/13, and it was stellar. We were heartbroken when our favorite Korean eatery, Koryo Kalbi, closed and then returned with a very different theme and menu. I'm sure their current offerings are just fine, but all the dishes we loved from their huge, fascinating menu are gone. So, we set out to find a new favorite. I've never eaten a bad Korean meal, so this proved to be quite a fine adventure, as Royal Koreatown is packed with good food and service that tends to be acceptable or better. For years occasionally shopping at Komart, I eyed Sura, but we never made it there until today. Canvassing the area online for a new place to try, I checked them out after dismissing many other choices and was stricken by their AYCE menu. What a tantalizing concept with all those choices. How did I overlook Sura for so long? I mean, we've eaten at the neighboring fried chicken place several times. Silly me. We were immediately greeted graciously by a kind gentleman I assume is the proprietor. Upstairs we went to an AYCE rampage. Everything, right down to the condiments, was stellar. The sesame oil was a nice touch. Banchan was quite good. Our server Kevin was distinctly friendly and effective. I don't think any empty plate sat on our table for more than 3 minutes. He watches over that dining room like an eagle. For what we enjoyed, the bill was almost embarrassingly scant. I've paid twice as much for half the pleasure many times. On the way out, I had a quick chat with the proprietors and they simply radiate humble good will, appreciation, and grace. These are the exact types of fundamentally fine people I enjoy giving money to. I've been chasing great food around the world for many years. As shabbily-dressed rock and roll white people, the quality of service we've received in our adventures has...well, let's just say "varied." Here, we were treated like family. Among all that great food we've enjoyed over the years, I can't think of a meal I've enjoyed more than our Sura experience. It now stands tall on a list of the best 15 or so places ever we've beheld. Thank you, Sura. See y'all next time. It shan't be long from now, methinks.

Yelp
Went for lunch, was directed to go upstairs for the all you can eat Korean barbecue. There's a regular dining room on the ground floor. I was one of two tables. The selection of meats is not huge, but what they do have is pretty good. The flavors were not amazing, but everything was acceptable. One thing they have going for them is that they serve a huge number of banchon. The restaurant felt relatively clean, but perhaps a bit outdated. Nothing was wrong at all. Service was fine, restrooms were acceptable. The scissors were sharp and the tongs were strong, if you eat KBBQ, you know how important this is. I would probably go back,

Yelp
This is my second time coming here. The first time, my friend and I had the AYCE BBQ upstairs, which was decent. This second time, I came alone during lunchtime so it was pretty busy. I ordered the C16 - combo of kalbi and cold noodles, which was tasty. But the service here is lacking. Like the other reviews have stated, the servers don't seem happy to serve you. I noticed that their attitudes change based on who they're speaking to. There was a woman who sat at a table next to mine, and they checked on her multiple times to make sure everything was okay. I, on the other hand, had to quickly blurt out what I needed every time someone dropped off food so they wouldn't run off. I'd come back for the food but maybe get it to-go so I don't feel so uncomfortable dining in.

Yelp
What an incredible experience! They made us feel like kings. We ordered the $200 for 4 people. The table was FULL of all the flavors and spice. We skipped lunch today to save room for a massive dinner, and we still couldn't finish it all. So good. Mike the owner explained everything even including the origins of certain dishes, and talked through the cultural significance of certain plates. Christina anticipated our every need. There providing before we even thought to ask. A truly exceptional night. Our group was gratefully to be a part of it. Fast, friendly, welcoming and totally delicious

Yelp
Sura is such a hidden gem! Located in Old K-Town, I found out about this place through a Korean foodie. They offer Korean BBQ upstairs, but I've only gone for their Korean entree menu. The value of the food here is generous and exceptional, offering delicious and authentic Korean cuisine at affordable prices. The side dishes are also so good and aesthetic! But what truly sets this place apart is the great service they provide. The Korean aunties are always so attentive and helpful when I'm there. Whether you're dining solo or with a big party, the staff ensures that you have a good time. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a fantastic Korean dining experience. You can't go wrong with the Korean Pancake and Dinner combos (bulgogi).

Yelp
This rating is for regular dining ( not AYCE) I am not a fan of AYCE so I only come for regular dining and I would give 5 stars. They have the best ban chans with good variety. And the spicy Galbi Jjim is the best with right amount of spicy sauce and good amount of meat. This is the place we go to almost every week either for dining in or take out. Always solid food
google avatar

Sara L.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. Our service was really nice and the food was ready really fast. Portions were a really good size. It looked fancier inside than I was expecting considering the location in a strip mall. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
First off everybody working here is super nice. That's the only plus. We ordered the expensive AYCE option and started with the recommendation of short ribs. The meat came in thick fatty slabs and cooked up tough and chewy. We tried some LA Galbi and it was only a little better but still not at all pleasant to eat. The thin cut meats were ok but flavorless. The sides were decent. They only serve three dipping sauces so don't expect much excitement for the thin meat if you can chew it. We ate very little food, passed on all the other "upgrade" options we had prepaid for, and left. To top it off my poor wife ate most of the nasty short rib because, I assume, she felt bullied by the $20 uneaten food fee they disclose after you order. Definitely the worst Korean food I've had anywhere.
google avatar

Lexie M.

Yelp
Korean BBQ area upstairs, easy to use tablet to order your food. They also have items on the buffet for you to take back and cook on the grill. It was delicious! The spicy pork and beef bulgogi were my favorite. Was my first time trying it and will be back whenever I visit again.

Yelp
This place is known for their upstairs AYCE kbbq but they also have another section downstairs for menu items. The food in the past was pretty decent but ate here last night and something changed? Owner? I don't know. Different vibe. Anyway, ordered the $180 combo meal with sashimi flounder and an assortment of dishes with banchan. Assumed more items versus the $140 combo meal. Really difference was some added tuna / salmon / sea squirt sashimi. Later I found out there is an item substitute to justify the more expensive combo. Sea squirt was not fresh and tasted like it was rinsed with water so that was a bummer. Food overall was average so not a bad thing but the service was poor and astonishingly weird. In addition to combo, we ordered the seafood pancake appetizer. Totally overkill on food for 3 people but hey, it was a Friday night and a long week. The weird part of service occurred when we asked for extra side dish you normally get with the $140 combo and was told we got the eel instead. That combo difference I mentioned earlier. Okay, we were never told the option plus providing our extra side dish as a service would have been no big deal. But hey, not a biggie as we were not entitled nor am I a "Karen". Just the way the message was delivered was just really odd. We ended our meal by asking if combo came with some type of dessert or something. Server returned and gave us grapes. Told us it was the topping from an expensive cake. Uh..... weird right? Where is the cake? Was this someone's left over meal? Yeah, did not eat grapes and honestly felt insulted. Is this the feeling of sour grapes? This last part make us question the whole meal quality. Used to be a yummy yummy 4 stars for me but the service and comments to make for questionable quality makes it a 3 star and almost a 2 star but hoping this was a one off experience? Will find out in about a year or so because I do not have a desire to go back anytime soon... Stars: 1 - Just go on a fast or eat dirt 2- Crazy hungry or someone else paying 3- Not bad and not great 4 - Yummy Yummy 5 - OMG! I ate my fingers too!

Yelp
Warning on the all you can eat, if you do not finish all of the meat they bring to your table there is a surcharge! Isabel and I visited in November and found ourselves sweating to finish the food because they told us after the fact. The BBQ itself is in the pretty good range. Not all of the meats were to our liking but we liked having the option to try things out. It was a fun experience but more transparency would have been nice. Travis' Rating Taste - 3.25 Quality - 3 Ambiance - 2 Overall - 3 Isabel's Rating Taste - 4 Quality - 3 Ambiance - 2 Overall - 3

Yelp
I was excited to try a long running kbbq shop that was not one of the large chains I see everywhere now. Server was polite, although overall servicing for 3 tables on the top floor with just one person was slow for lunch at 12pm on a Thursday. We were the first to arrive, and most of the things like rice was not available yet, all the sides took a good bit to arrive. Overall very mediocre experience. The steamed egg was pretty bland. Banchan items were kinda lacking flavor. Meat choices were limited but just fine, think I prefer going to the more busy chains up the highway personally. The porkbelly thickness is too thick personally. Fried dumplings were not bad to me. I would not go back, its only $19.95 for lunch which ain't bad. Maybe with a little help to get the set up going, it would have been a much more speedy and nice experience.
google avatar

Jenna N.

Yelp
I remember going here for dinner and enjoyed it but we went during lunch and it was a disappointment. They didn't have any of the other cooked dishes out besides the meat out like they use to before. They had some marinated meat out and you could also order other meats from the server but she was so slow on bringing it out. It took about 10 minutes to get our waters and 20 minutes just for us to get our side dishes.. she said it was because she was busy but it was literally us and another table that had already been there eating. I would not come here if you expect good service, the food is just alright. I would recommend omis or gens over this place. The service there is A lot quicker

Yelp
logistics: We came to Sura while visiting friends in Long Beach. We joined the waitlist for a party of 6 around 8pm on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, we were able to get seated in 20 minutes. We parked in the designated parking lot behind the restaurant. It was full when we arrived but we looped around and we're able to snag a spot. Seems cars are going in and out pretty frequently so just be patient. Service: Our server was great! I don't remember his name, but he was friendly and helpful. My friend couldn't decide between tofu soup and ramen so he offered to bring ramen noodles for her tofu soup on the side. He also showed us how to open our soju bottle correctly. food: We shared 3 appetizers: the korean fried chicken wings, scallion pancake, and rice cake skewers. The wings and pancake came in large portions which was great for our group. The rice cakes were a smaller plate perfect for 3 people. I ordered the rib eye tofu soup for my entree and added enoki mushrooms. It was so good! I loved the spiciness in flavor and heat. Usually tofu soup comes with a raw egg, but I think Sura placed it in the soup already. My partner ordered the Pork Belly Kimchi Jjigae and it was okay. It's a large portion and the rice-to-meat ratio leaves more meat to be desired. Overall, my group had a great time and I will visit again when im in Long Beach.

Yelp
We've been to several Korean BBQ style restaurants and this is BY FAR our favorite!! Extremely elegant atmosphere, with very friendly, helpful, and cooperative staff that all work together wonderfully. But the main star was the food!!! Fresh, flavorful, great quality, and plenty of it!!! Great birthday dinner
google avatar

Katalina P.

Yelp
The restaurant is located at the corner of the plaza with lots of parking spaces. I went here Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. We were able to get seated right away. It was hard to get the server's attention at times because they weren't walking around and they didn't have the bell feature. They have a wide range of items on the menu - soup, bbq, noodles, rice dishes, pancakes, etc. Our table ordered the samgye tang, rice cake soup with dumplings, and spicy fish cod soup. The rice cake soup and spicy cod soup were delicious! The soup was not overly seasoned and so refreshing. They make the dumplings in the soup in house. I recommend trying this place if you're looking to have some good korean food!

Yelp
Beautiful late unplanned lunch at Sura after discovering the nearby Korean chicken place had nothing on the menu that wasn't fried. I may have asked a million questions about the menu, and the server was very patient. I lucked out and found a dish that I really enjoyed. A hot clay pot of crispy rice with cucumbers and eel on top in a sweet and salty barbecue sauce. All the traditional condiments and accompaniments for a Korean food came out in tiny bowls, and I had to ask about ingredients for many of them, as I have food sensitivities. I really enjoyed a lot of variety in Kimchi, veggies and noodles. Hot sake and hot soup made it a very relaxed lunch. Thanks for an enjoyable experience!

Yelp
Authentic, delicious and great quality. We ordered and shared the LA Kalbi and Fried Rice. The Kalbi was PERFECT, grilled to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The fried rice complimented the kalbi perfectly, as it wasn't overly flavored or salty. They kept it simple here which really made the kalbi's flavor shine. To really get more bang for your buck, I suggest trying Sura's all you can eat buffet. We weren't able to since this was our second lunch for the day, but will definitely return to try it out!

Yelp
Food was tasty and authentic and there were so many side dishes. The portions were much bigger than expected so we had too much food but they provided takeout containers. Service was also friendly.

Yelp
Korean restaurant, located in a plaza that provides parking. Downstairs for non grillers and upstairs for those who want to grill. We did the $29 angus menu as I cannot eat as I used to anymore and my favorite is the short rib only. It's not bad for the price obviously. There's a handful of banchan they provide. There's also an appetizer and sides selection menu. In addition to the grilled meats we got steamed egg, edamame, poke salad, chicken wings, and the soup. The poke salad came with small diced salmon and tuna, color wasn't too good and too much dressing. The chicken wing was definitely made to order but lacked taste. Soup was good and pretty big so it'll fill you up, so be careful. On one side there's a self serve station for you to choose additional vegetables to grill. They also have different marinated chicken, shrimp and octopus in the self serve station. Rice is also self serve. Service was good, severs were attentive to checking in on us and switching out our grill plate. Not bad for the price. Their ventilation system as my husband pointed out must be good because our coats didn't smell after we were done.

Yelp
GENEROUS portions. Would definitely recommend family-style if you're with a group. \\ hoe deop bap (sashimi rice) - comes in a massive metal mixing bowl - good balance of bite-sized sashimi chunks and fresh lettuce leaves - could have used more sesame oil \\ haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) - crispy on the outside - fresh octopus and other seafood This is certainly Korean food served Texas style. Lots of delicious banchan (side dishes) with refills. Delicious mixed white and purple rice. Friendly just-right service that isn't too overwhelming. Would come back again. Lunch prices are very reasonable.

Yelp
Been here a few times now, and it's a gem in old Korea town! Friendly and attentive service. 1. Seafood pancake (5/5) - more octopus and seafood than pancake mix, great texture, not too mushy inside, nice crunch 2. Pan fried dumpling (5/5) - crispy skin, lots of filling (vermicelli and kimchi)

Yelp
A great value at Lunch! Came here on a Monday afternoon, and was greeted downstairs (Ala cart area) then walked upstairs to the All You Can Eat spot. Most of the items are self serve including the rice....which I actually prefer. For lunch you have two chicken options, brisket, thin Pork belly, Pork Bulgogi, beef Bulgogi. All seasoned well, and flavorful. Their grills are on point, high heat and enough direct area on the grill for a good char. Service was great, a pleasant Korean lady helps you cook and changes the temp for you based on how much you're eating and how much you still have left to cook. The Banchan were all great and flavorful as well. Here the flavors seem a lot more authentic than some of the larger KBBQ chains, and you don't feel like you're eating straight MSG. Highly recommended for the $20 lunch!

Yelp
This area has so many Korean restaurants! Picked this one and so glad we did. There were only Korean people eating, which is always a good sign and what I learned while living in Korea. Had the dolsot bibimbap, my fave and husband had shrimp teriyaki. First, so many sides (banchan)! Loved the variety. Service was super quick. Place is also spotless and open, super sweet waitress. Only complaint I could possibly think of, was no sweet tea.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on Sunday at 11am with my girlfriend and met up with another friend living nearby. It was emptier than expected, but filled up to 4-5 tables on the 2nd floor with the BBQ buffet. We ordered one of each meats; the best were the beef brisket, beef belly, and LA kalbi. Not a fan of the Bulgogi marinade. Their mandu were actually alright. Service was good; one lady was in charge of the whole 2nd floor so she was pretty busy but she had a good attitude and was funny. We left around 3pm and were the last of the lunch bunch there. Overall a decent option for buffet at $26.95/person. Not sure what their other items are if you do not do the buffet option.

Yelp
Great food. Love their sides. Lots of variety. Portions slightly smaller than similar restaurants.

Yelp
The service here is the biggest letdown of all. The servers literally made us feel like we were being such a nuisance just by existing. We felt like we had to apologize just for being there. Took very long to get offered a menu or water and every time we ordered anything, it took awhile to find an availablr server and they gave us attitude. Both the woman and the man that we flagged down were just so unfriendly, our whole table just felt very uncomfortable. Food options were alright but nothing to rave about. I did like that they had seafood options but that's pretty much the only plus. The downstairs entree options/service was slightly better experience but it looks like they are overall understaffed. I probably would not return or recommend because of service. I've never felt so unwelcome at a business before.

Yelp
a little confusing as no one really walked us through what to do, but I could just be a little dumb... for my fellow dummies I will describe the experience: if you're going for the grills, you will be seated upstairs (to your left when entering). it took us a while to be served... no, you don't need to go grab a water bottle yourself. I am just dumb. Eventually someone will bring you cups of water lol. It will also take a bit of time for the listed KBBQ items to be brought to you - in the meantime, head to the buffet which is right by the kitchen! Try to bring a few hands, as you'll want all the seasoning and a sample of the proteins. The "available at buffet" and "served to your table" section of the BBQ menu were accurate. I don't know if the small dishes listed below "served to your table" are guaranteed, I believe you need to ask for these items specifically, but we received so much banchan! I have to of course knock on Gen... my friends swear by it but Sura beats them in quality by far. Not portion sizes necessarily, but definitely in quality. There's a couple of stars redacted only because we were so confused, and felt very ignored. Please ignore the quality of my photos! Screenshots of a video I took, lol

Yelp
Best value ayce korean bbq I've had in a long time. Meat was fresh and service was outstanding. If you are in Dallas and want some ayce korean bbq for a great price this is the place to go to. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I really wanted to love the place as I love Korean BBQ and I love lots of it. However, the quality of meat was almost unbearable and the flavors were not very good. Believe me when I say that I am not a stickler for quality of meats and believe me when I say this was one of the worst meats I've ever had. Even I could taste the poor quality of something as simple as the sliced beef. The sides/non-grill options were good, but you could tell it had been sitting there for the entire day. The duboki was sitting in congealed sauce and the soondubu wasn't much better. Service was good and it isn't the worst place, but there are many better Korean BBQ ayce options.

Yelp
This place is so top-notch on authentic Korean dishes. Plus, they have an amazing spread on side dishes (there are almost a dozen)! Waitresses are super nice and welcoming, service is very rapid (difficult to accomplish with the hiring situations), and ambiance was family-friendly. Highly recommended for Korean cuisine if in the area!

Yelp
great food greater atmosphere definitely go here for your kbbq needs, there is a second floor where there is a buffet style dining area and my girl Choi is amazing!! so friendly and she showed us how to cook pork and beef since we had no idea how to use the grill lol great restaurant to try korean bbq for the first time, the pork was delicious and we felt so welcome to come again!!! Love the staff and the food, surprised it wasn't extremely busy considering the interior was clean and the staff was so accommodating

Yelp
This was my first experience at a Korean barbecue, and it was awesome! therefore, I do not have any previous experiences to compare to, but I feel there was a lot of value given the price point.

Yelp
This was one of the absolute best Korean food experiences, the banchan & kimchi jjigae were out of this world, I don't think the soup stopped boiling for 3-5 minutes and was hot until the last bite. The eel plate was the single best eel dish I've ever had. I fully intend on going back as soon as I'm back in the area.

Yelp
My review is based on their soups and stews, not the K-bbq* ever since we moved to Texas, I've been looking for a place that had really great soon tofu + Yuk Gae jang. so we decided to try out Sura Korean bistro based on the reviews that other Yelpers had left. While the customer service was really friendly and the appetizers were delightful, as were the banchan side dishes, the soups were 'ok' in my book. I definitely would've rated the soon tofu higher if it was spicier, because I loved that it incorporated seafood in the dish. I also asked for purple/mixed/wild rice that they do not have, which also could've helped elevate this dish. My friend tried their ox soup and had to heavily season at themselves to get it to their liking -- unfortunately, the soup was mostly onion and less so meat. For the Yuk Gae jang, I definitely would recommend being able to customize the soup and adjust the spice level - because again, we had to ask for more chili paste to get it to our liking. I don't think it was cooked an ox bone broth, because it actually had a taste of chicken broth. Again, purple rice would've been *chefs kiss* Soups we tried: Yuk Gae jang, soon tofu, ox bone (can recall the name) Appetizers: Korean seafood pancakes + dumplings I wasn't "wowed" but the food wasn't terrible either -- just ok. Location: old Korea town Parking: plenty + free

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in DFW. I've been coming here for many many years. Their lunch menu is phenomenal...lots of options, great choices. I LOVE coming here for lunch. The dinner menu is just as delicious. I've brought many guests here to check it out. AYCE buffet for the korean bbq is fantastic and plentiful. The regular menu is delicious as well. so many choices that are all delicious. The restaurant is super clean and nice. You feel at home here.

Yelp
Whoa.. what the hell happened here??? This use to be my ultimate favorite go to for AYCE kbbq. They must be under a new owner...Within a short span of 6 months a lot of things have been changing everytime i step in to eat... this very recent time... makes me not want to return for ... a while. Some things are still the same but a lot has changed. You still get your own sides, sauces and soups... however now the meat is advertised as cut to order rather than its out and u get it yourself. I preffered the time when you could get your own meat because it being AYCE you didnt have to wait for the server to bring it out to you. I see the pros of now it is being pushed as "meat is cut when ordered" however it causes a problem when they get busy during the weekends. Orders get backed up, confused with another order or simply forgotten. It takes an awful longer time...and u cant control the quanity that you want. Sure... i understand trying to control "waste" but the waiting for the server to bring the meats is annoying. I feel like I'm not getting my moneys worth. You get full faster by waiting and don't eat as much... The biggest thing that caught me off guard is the pricing now.. the dinner price use to include the short ribs..now your limited to 2 short ribs (not two orders.. literally 2 short ribs.. ill attach a picture) per person.. more then that they charge you more... which is kind of ..ridiculous? Like there's a different tier now. Which could be frustrating if one person prefers short ribs and another person at the tables does not..but everyone at the table is charged the higher rate.. The marinations of the meats aren't as great as they were before. Not sure whats with all the changes.. but they havent been for the better. No offense...but i feel like its losing its authenticity and catering more to Americans... dumbing down flavors. It also seems like they've been short staffed the past couple times i have been here. The restroom desperately needs an upgrade/renovation.
