The Seattle Area’s Best Asian Dumplings | Eater Seattle

"The brightly lit Szechuan Noodle Bowl might be best known for its big bowls of soup, but there’s also a solid selection of dumplings on hand. The top pick? Pot stickers. They’ve got the basic filling of ground pork, napa cabbage, ginger, and garlic, but they’re unusually long (three-biters) and perfectly pan-fried." - Jay Friedman

The Best Dumplings In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The long and crunchy potstickers from Szechuan Noodle Bowl are great, especially because this ID spot cuts holes through their takeout containers to let the steam out. But if you’re in the mood for a softer dumpling, consider their pork and chive option. They’re wonderfully flavorful, juicy, and packed with an ideal amount of spring onion." - Aimee Rizzo

Best Frozen or Fresh Dumplings for Takeout in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Though this International District spot might be best known for its big bowls of soup, there’s also a solid selection of steamed dumplings on hand (including frozen versions), plus some excellent pot-stickers, which are unusually long and perfectly pan-fried. Some are now available for takeout, and delivery via Uber Eats and DoorDash." - Eater Staff

Fend Off Seattle's Winter Chill With Hearty Soups - Eater Seattle

"There are plenty of noodle soups to choose from in this no-fuss joint tucked away in an unassuming storefront in the ID. The good news is, no matter what your order — whether it's the Szechuan beef tendon or the pickled vegetables and pork — you’ll amble away happier than when you arrived." - Jenise Silva

Google
Its quite small delicious. Something about having the server being the owner while ignoring you because they're busy with making fresh dumplings by hand so they can get ahead of work is beautiful and appreciated. I've been going here for 13 years now and it has its loyal fans but maybe you'd give it a try. But don't come here making trouble for this beautiful mom and pop shop. Its a simple establishment with delicious food.

Google
I love a divey restaurant that has incredible food. The contrast in offerings (delicious hand pulled noodle soup vs facial tissues instead of napkins) somehow makes the food taste better! The boiled peanuts were better than dry peanuts could ever hope to be. The soup was slightly spicy and the beef was tender and delightful. And the noodles were tops.

Benjamin Manne

Google
Phenomenal. Everything we ordered was A+. It can be hard to find soup dumplings that don’t have an excessively doughy flavor. These are right on the money. Very reasonable prices and exceedingly friendly staff. The marinated pig ears were a surprise hit, even for the toddlers.

Google
Seattle’s Chinatown is such a gem and this spot is lovely. Delicious food. Cozy no frills restaurant. Dumplings and noodles are especially good.

Google
SO good BUT🚨don’t order online! If you’re ordering for pick up: call in or order there. The prices are 30-65%+ more. For example: Green onion pancake $7.25 v $9.39 Beef noodle soup $13.25 v chicken $17.19 Dumplings $11.45 v $18.89 I attached the online order and the actual menu for reference. I assume the price increases are to cover their software fees but still - save a bit and then tip them extra!

Google
Solid food all around, cucumber and wood ear mushroom salad and fried rice were great. Lots of vegetarian options, the lady was attentive and checked with us to make sure we didn’t want pork in our mapo tofu.

Dian Dian

Google
Really great comfort food. Love the tenderness of the beef in the noodle soup. Feel warm after eating. Guess I'll come more often in rainy/winter days!

T J

Google
The food is overpriced, mid and small portions. Ordered beef noodle soup and was given maybe 3 slices of beef? Table does not have proper paper tissue. The entrance is blocked off and you immediately feel unwelcome when opening the door. The staff was nice enough but this is not a pleasant place to eat at.

Yelp
Im absolutely blown away by these dumplings, they are DELICIOUS. One bite of the veggie dumpling had me shocked and doing a double take. The veggie is so flavorful I honestly thought it was a meat dumpling. I did also try the pork ones and they are also very tasty. What's most delicious about the dumplings are the the soft doughy dumpling wrappings. When I looked up the restaurant after visiting, I remembered I had seen a TikTok of this restaurant and someone mentioning you'll see people wrapping dumplings throughout the day. I've been wanting to try these dumplings and I'm so happy I finally did! They were better than I expected and I already had such high expectations after the TikTok's I'd seen! Their delicious homemade dumplings really are worth the hype!

Yelp
Szechuan Noodle Bowl is kind of a hole in the wall place in Chinatown - it's not the flashiest but it looks legit. I don't know the date of establishment but I think it's been around for a while according to the newspaper clips on the walls. I think it's a solid place for simple food like noodle soup and wontons. My friends and I got a mix of items, all of which I thought were alright for the price. It was about a thirty minute wait for our food, I think they only had one person working in the kitchen. These items are all milder than I would like, so anyone looking for muted flavors may enjoy this place more than I did. - Fried potstickers: 2/5, a little dry - Dumplings: 3/5, these were good - Szechuan noodle soup: 3/5 - Wonton noodle soup: 3/5, thought this was really bland but the wontons were great

Yelp
Delicious food. I got the rice with vegetables and beef noodles soup. Seemed much more traditional type of food was served. The ambience was inviting, though not sleek. The service was friendly. They request though cash or Venmo only.

Yelp
Outstanding place. The xiao long bao were superb, best I've ever had. This is a place that's worth going out of your way for.

Yelp
Nicest people. Walk in, get tea, order food, and find happiness. Soup dumplings, potstickers, scallion pancake A+++

Yelp
Finally made it to this local, family-owned small business after bookmarking it years ago! We knew it was the real deal when we walked in and saw homemade dumplings being made, right in the dining room :D We ordered the following, and are now in our eternal dilemma of re-ordering everything we ate (and loved), or exploring more of their menu. - Pork & Napa Dumplings: YUM. There's a slight sweetness to this that's brought out by the cabbage, and it's SO, SOOOO good. I love when I can taste each ingredient in the dumpling filling, and you definitely can here. - Pork & Chive Dumplings in Spicy Sauce: The sauce didn't register as spicy at all to this Korean spice hound, but it was delicious nonetheless. Again, you can taste each ingredient in the filling. - Szechuan Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup: The beef was soooooo tender, broth was divinely rich, and noodles had the perfect texture. Perfect on a rainy/overcast day. - Cucumber Salad: This is the smashed variety that is not marinated, but instead comes with sauce. At first we wanted it to be more pickled, but it grew on us throughout the meal because the cucumber was so fresh and crunchy! Service was standard Asian level. They ONLY take cash or Venmo. I do not eat at restaurants in search of "ambiance", so if that's not you, know that this is very much hole in the wall joint.
google avatar

Lizzy L.

Yelp
Delicious dumplings and generous portions in an authentic Chinese restaurant setting! The Napa pork dumplings are the perfect texture and come with delicious vinegary sauces that work well together! Potstickers were also delicious, fresh, and crispy! And the beef noodle soup had a rich flavorful broth and I could tell the noodles were handmade! The staff is super friendly and kind and the ambiance is no-nonsense yet casual! This is the hole in the wall spot if you're looking for dumplings and noodles! Just note that they take cash/card/Venmo

Sophia R.

Yelp
My family and I have been going here for at least 10 years. This is my favorite restaurant ever, the perfect comfort food hole in the wall place. The vegetable dumplings, cong you bing, and peanut noodles are our usual and never disappoint. I would go here at least once a week if I lived in the area, but I've moved to California and make this a must visit when I come to town!

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite spots for noodles in Chinatown and has historically been a cheap eat but prices are so high now! I love their Sichuan beef and tendon noodle soup! Their soup is so flavorful and the noodles have the right, thick texture that I love. The beef is a bit tough and has a weird flavor which I am not a big fan of but the tendon is delicious. I have had their other dishes like their scallion pancakes and dumplings in the past which are all good too. Overall I enjoy this place. Solid hole in the wall spot and cash only!

Yelp
Food: - Vegetable Dumpling with Hot and Spicy Sauce Definitely not the typical red oil dish. There was barely any red sauce, and definitely not spicy at all. The dumplings insides were heavily minced and rather bland and mushy. 2/5 - Dan Dan Noodles More of a peanut butter + soy sauce blend, no veggies added. Noodles were a bit mushy. Did love that it is the thicker noodle type. 3/5 - Cucumber Salad Fairly classic, nice crunchy bite. This is the smashed variety. 3.5/5 - Chive box Honestly this would probably be rated the highest aside from the outsides being burnt when pan fried, leading to a burnt taste. 3/5 - Green onion pancake This is twice as thick as the usual ones, meaning it's much doughier. If it sits around for a bit too long on the table, it becomes really chewy. 3/5 Note: You can only pay with cash or venmo. Overall: I think I set my expectations too high given the high ratings. Overall I don't think it's quite as tasty as Dough Zone/ DTF, albeit this is more affordable. Service was fairly friendly and patient, it had the vibe of being at asian aunty's place. Ambiance- pretty much what you'd expect from a typical asian restaurant, asian dramas playing over the speaker, a loose door is used to block the path to the entrance.

Yelp
This place is still really amazing after all these years. I found this place in college and have been coming back for their wonton soup and pork and napa cabbage dumplings ever since. The prices are still so cheap and the service is quick. I also like the atmosphere of the restaurant, perfect to take a few friends or go by yourself and watch something on your phone while eating. I would say if you are going to try this place get the wonton soup (large so you get 10 wontons in it) and the pork and napa cabbage dumplings. I hope this place continues to remain open, serving great food at great prices!

Yelp
A pleasant surprise. Definitely a no frills place just past the busier sections of the district. The beef noodle bowl was decent, but I enjoyed getting away from the crowds and taking the time to talk to the lady working there. I learned a lot about living in Seattle and a lot about the immigrant community by talking to this lady, all while practicing and learning more of my native language, Cantonese. I got what I expected from the food, but it was the conversation that I won't forget here.

Yelp
Love this place! So friendly and helpful, and have delicious vegan options! If you're vegan, you can get the scallion pancake, veggie dumplings with spicy (or not) sauce, peanut noodle soup, or cold noodle. They're all vegan with no alterations! My omni friends like their other food too. Currently open for dine in and takeout. If you eat in, the bring a pot of tea to the table for your meal for free! Highly recommend, a neighborhood and community cornerstone.

Yelp
Szechuan noodle bowl - a locally owned chinese restaurants located in chinatown. this place, althought hidden, has great cold chinese noodles. they also have alot of other noodle dishes on the menu along with dumpling options! I didn't try the other options but they looks really good! What i thought was cool was that you can put bulk dumplings from here! I think it was about 50 dumplings for $40? I order the dan dan mein and cold noodle bowl and had great portions. I also got the chive pockets and wow amazing! the chive pockets are my favorite haha they are on the pricer side -- $2 for $6. But they had great flavor and came with chili sauce. The Dan dan mein was simply noodles with peanut sauce. I didn't enjoy the noodles that well As i thought they were cooked too soft (personal preference maybe) but it did have great portions. The cold noodles was noodles with peanut sauce and veggies (carrots and cucumbers) this was great! Although i think it could have used more sauce.

Yelp
I'm genuinely not sure if everyone giving this place a positive review is just drunk from the bars or something, because we went and were not impressed. We placed an order online for pickup, they would not give us the order at first, saying they didn't have an order for Rachel. My fiancé had to call me and have me confirm what we ordered twice. The pan fried pork and chive dumplings were borderline inedible. They were black on the bottoms and the filling was flavorless, and under seasoned. Salt makes things taste good, I promise. My fiancé had the brown beef with veggies and rice. It was unimpressive as well. The rice was over cooked and mushy, the bok choy was undercooked and bitter, and the beef was again poorly seasoned. The bok choy also had an earthiness that tasted like dirt, as well. 1 star because the order was correct, and 1 star for not having a 1 hour wait, like the place we had intended to go to.

Yelp
Our favorite place for fresh noodles in Seatlle. Very small space but it all homemade. The service is great :) Definitely give them a try!!

Yelp
This place is very unassuming and is extremely easy to miss if you walk past it. This is definitely the definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. I came here on a Saturday morning after a night of drinking and it was a great place for food with the Szechuan spicy beef soup and the green onion pancake. There was only one other party when I walked in and the person serving us was friendly and was attentive. The ambience could be better but I don't usually pay attention to that much for a mom and pop shop. The green onion pancake is extremely good and I've never had it prepared in this way before. Also, the Szechuan soup was amazing and would recommend that also. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before eating it so I'll definitely be back to do so! Great place and would recommend.
google avatar

Darcy H.

Yelp
The numerous vegan/vegetarian options bumped this up to four stars. I've been there twice on weekdays and there was ample seating. This is tasty food with a home-cooked vibe. The setting is modest and hole-in-the-wall. Quite small. If you've traveled a lot, this is fine but if you're used to super trendy, overly branded, sparkly-clean, UVillage type places, you might not be very happy. Despite the steep language barrier, the service is very kind and helpful.

Erin S.

Yelp
This place is everything it needs to be and nothing it doesn't. The spicy beef noodle soup was perfect. The blend of spice, salt and chewiness of the noodles made this the perfect dish for a cold wet day. Don't come for fancy ambiance or pampered service. Come for authentic food made by people who grew up being passed down traditional recipes from their elders who respect the food and the culture of a place. Come for the reasonable prices, and unique dishes offered.
google avatar

Brittany W.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in the ID. It's rare you'll find a crowd here, which makes getting a table easy despite it being a small restaurant. I always order the wonton noodle soup and potstickers, which are always consistent, flavorful and stuffed full of filling. The soup bowls are also fairly large and plenty filling. All of the dumplings are made in-house and during a slow moment, you'll occasionally get to see someone rolling them. Just a head's up, they don't accept credit cards so make sure to bring cash.

Yelp
Came in right after work and this place was a little empty, but don't let that fool you- their food is amazing! We ordered the pork and chive dumplings with the spicy sauce, Szechuan beef and tendon noodle bowl, and the seaweed salad with garlic. They were all amazing. The dumplings- they are handmade and you can totally tell because when you bite into it, you can tell it's made with love. The meat to wonton skin ratio is perfect and it's boiled to perfection. The sauce definitely takes it over the top! Try not to break it when you're mixing the sauce and the dumplings because it's all of it together that makes the perfect bite- it doesn't taste nearly as amazing if it's deconstructed. Also, watch out, it's hot!! I'm also usually not the biggest fan of beef noodle soup (牛肉麵)but this has got to be my favorite one so far! The broth is my favorite! The beef cubes and tendon were pretty good too :)! The noodles aren't knife cut, but they are cooked perfectly. I would definitely get this again! The garlic seaweed salad was just a nice touch :). This place is a little far from the main ID area, but it's worth the walk! Also it's super nice to see the lady making dumplings on the side! How can she make so much? She must teach me! Also- it's CASH only!! Bring cash!

Melchor N.

Yelp
Food is amazing but racism can ruin even the best food, definitely felt like the lady at the counter was a little racist against Hispanics. She made us pay with a different 100$ after checking the first one and the second one had the exact same color marker as the first one and I called her out and she said she used the wrong pen. Which I saw her use the exact same pen for both. Food is good but if you feel like they're a little racist. You're not alone. They can do better.

Yelp
i have not been to szechuan noodle bowl for years but that does not mean it doesn't hold a special place in my heart. when i first moved here, decades ago, i stumbled upon it and realized it was a hidden gem--way back then! obviously pre- covid, i remember going in and sitting at one table while some of the workers would sit at a table in the back with a large bowl of dumpling filling, chatting and sealing trays and trays of them right there. this was THE REAL DEAL and though i couldn't understand their chinese conversations, i could appreciate the hard work and patronize them on a regular basis to show my loyalty. cut to...today. it was the covid lunar new year food walk in the cid and i encouraged my friend who lives nearby but who's never tried their food to give it a go. i ordered my old standbys because i don't think you can find a better green onion pancake in seattle and the cold noodles with cucumbers, carrots and peanut sauce always seemed like comfort for me. here's the test of time: the food was just as good as i remember it! i hope they get enough business to weather the pandemic and come out the other end. seems like people were following the food walk map to order from them which makes me happy. so thrilled to be able to relive all the good meals i had there back in the day and to contemplate placing a frozen dumpling order to stock up my freezer in these weirdest of times. give them a chance! the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but i bet if you order from them, they'll soon become one of your new go-to places for take out. you have very little to lose and a lot of yumminess to gain.

Yelp
Wowza! My family's favorite spot in the ID. Wonderful dumplings, cold noodles, scallion pancakes and soups. Lots of vegetarian options. The owners are wonderful people and it just feels good to support a long-time Seattle fixture restaurant.

Sam L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The veg dumplings with hot and spicy sauce are the best in Seattle (even if you eat meat). The beef noodle soup is fantastic. The green onion pancakes are perfect. Don't turn away because of the hole in the wall look. If you miss this place, you are missing out!
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
I'm really confused by all the 4-5 star reviews. Came here to satisfy a craving for noodles and left feeling quite dissatisfied. We ordered several different types of noodles and they were all quite underwhelming. The peanut sauce was no better than what you'd expect from a college student's lazy dorm meal, the braised beef was bland, and the noodles were just okay. Even the scallion pancakes were mediocre at best. It looks like the positive reviews are for the dumplings, and specifically veggie ones, so maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but definitely don't come here for the noodles as the name would suggest. And there is certainly nothing "Szechuan" about the flavors (or lack thereof) - I'm not a spice snob at all but there was not even a hint of even the mildest pepper in these dishes. It pains me to rag on a family-run small business but if you have high standards for noodles, please don't waste your time here. You will be disappointed.

Yelp
This place has been a favorite for dumplings and beef noodle soup for years. Everything is handmade and you can taste the love and experience they put into the food.

Christine M.

Yelp
Brown beef & tendon soup is a reason to return. The soup dumplings and onion pancakes was just ok.

Yelp
This is my favorite dumpling place in Seattle, beautiful people who make them on a table in the same room where you eat...the veggie one's with Tofu & wonderful spicy sauce are mouth watering, and the onion pan- cakes are delicious and all there soups are the best & everything is fresh as the best Asian market is around the corner, my sister loves the shredded chicken with rice & veggies....it's the only place that makes you feel better the next day, the owner Sue lives in Bellevue and I tried to ask her if she could open one in Gig Harbor as everyone I take there falls in love with her wonderful food...my cousin flew in from Kauai Hi to see a concert last year & stayed in China town and ate there all 3-days she stayed in Seattle you will feel better after you eat there and watching the Grandmothers making them is amazing in this day & time.....closed on Monday's...King & 8th.....I am getting hungry now so gotta go to there again...Aloha

Yelp
Missing Szechuan Noodle Bowl more than any other restaurant now that quarantine is in effect. I can't wait to return! It's small and homey, usually with distant music on the radio playing and a few friendly workers shaping and rolling dough at the back of the restaurant. It feels a lot like being right there in someone's kitchen. Intimate without being intimidating. I've visited a few times and tried different dishes, but my favorites are the spinach dumplings and onion pancakes. Great price, large serving, and always comforting. Note that this restaurant is cash-only, so have some handy.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Two words: FROZEN DUMPLINGS. No, seriously you guys. They sell frozen dumplings, and I have a steamer (which is just a pot with a steamer insert, basically). Their egg and chive dumplings, steamed, is all I want to eat lately. With that delicious sauce (from the now-distant dine-in days, remember?), omg so, so good. And, yes, their regular dishes - onion pancakes!! - are as delicious as I remember. PS They now take Venmo!!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
1. green onion pancake- simple pan-fried pancake appetizer with good crunch outside, chewy on the inside. It stayed crispy the whole meal, even when coated in soy sauce 2. vegetable dumpling with hot and spicy sauce - I saw the older lady making dumplings in the dining area- the dumpling casing was doughy and soft, tasted wonderfully homemade. The vegetable filling wasn't to my taste, I think it was a spinach mix. I'll have to try the pork filling next time. 3. brown beef noodle soup- the noodles were softer than I like. I wished that there were other noodle options. I actually ended up leaving most of the noodles and ate all the beef pieces and the broth. I probably won't return for the noodle soups, but I will come back for the dumplings and maybe to try some of their other offerings. *bring cash *park for free under the overpass *okay for groups, but the space isn't very big *expect a hole in the wall ambiance

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place since other reviews raved about it and it has the hole in the wall vibes, which is usually a good thing for Chinese food. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with any of the food we ordered. The beef noodle soup's broth wasn't that rich and tasted more vinegary than I expected. I haven't had beef noodle soup before, so maybe the restaurant made it properly and I just don't like the dish in general? Since I'm not sure if they did it poorly vs my personal preference I am giving the place 3 stars instead of 2. I also didn't like the noodles in the dish since they were as thick as udon, but not as chewy. The wontons were better than the beef noodle soup but only "ok" overall. The sauce was overwhelming and I couldn't taste the actual flavor of the wonton due to the sauce. The sauce itself was what I expected for a spicy sauce if not a little too vinegary. I won't be coming back and will stick with Canton Wonton in Chinatown if I'm wanting some noodle soup in the future.

Yelp
Very cute place in Seattle if you're looking for quick bite. The price is really good for the portions. Noodles were very soft and the dumplings were amazing. I would love to come again and try rest of their items on the menu. Tip: Cash only

Ying L.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get green onion pancakes, wonton noodle soup, spicy Szechuan beef tendon noodle soup. I get their frozen dumplings to go for mid-week meals. Have been coming here for 12 years.

Yelp
CASH ONLY establishment. This is a true definition of hole in a wall, family owned restaurant. Don't let the exterior scare you. I have not yet experience the slowness in service or a wait time but then again, it's probably because I come here when they open around 11:30-ish. Get the beef brisket noodle soup and the onion pancakes. Oh em geee...the onion pancakes is legit. The broth is very flavorful, I wouldn't say that it's super spicy but it has a kick to it. It also comes with a few bok choy in the noodle. The noodle is different, kinda look like udon but it's not. It goes well with the broth. I would say that the price is really reasonable but that's probably because they don't accept credit cards. I definitely come here when I have some cash on me. I believe there's a day of the week that they are closed though.

Sophia P.

Yelp
This place has the best homemade dumplings. Most times when I pick up takeout, the owner is sitting in the back wrapping dumplings. Good sign. Also delicious soups etc. my favorite are the vegetarian dumplings and pork and cabbage. You can get a half and half order. I've also bought the frozen dumplings for a dinner party-- perfect!! Don't miss this place even though the outside looks closed. Plus they sell cool t-shirts of their logo Cash only!

Christa E.

Yelp
I have literally been coming to Szechuan Noodle Bowl for over 30 years. It is a true hole in the wall restaurant and I've watched it pass from the ownership of one family to another. I generally get the vegetarian selections. I love their Cold Noodles with Sesame Sauce (now called Peanut Sauce) which has large thick noodles and comes with raw sliced carrots and cucumber, as well as a sesame-peanut sauce. Also, I always get the vegetable dumplings (spinach with a little tofu), both regular and with hot and spicy sauce. These dumplings are made in house and if arrive at the right time, one of the restaurant tables will the place they are making them handmade. All the dumplings are great. You can get them as pot stickers as well, but they are just wonderful steamed. The pork dumplings are great too. Newer on the menu are the egg and chive dumplings (yum!) and the mushroom/glass noodle dumplins (more mild). I love the green onion pancakes and reccommend lots of soy sauce on them. The seaweed with garlic sauce is also fun. The vegetables and rice is really whole pieces of baby bok choy - best for when you are in a healthy vegetable craving mode. I love that I can always pick up a free paper -- either or both the International Examiner or the NW Asian Weekly. As a white person, its really nice to read about the world from a different perspective. Thank you Szechual Noodle Bowl for staying where you are over the decades of my life!

Yelp
Recommended by a coworker. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food was delicious. Don't forget to have some cash on hand, they don't take credit cards. Completely worth it-delicious dumplings!

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for the best pork and chive dumplings in Seattle and am happy to announce that the hunt stops HERE. I find the best dumplings to have thin and chewy skin, tasty filling, and some kind of vinegary dipping sauce. The pork and chive dumplings check all the boxes AND comes at a price you can't beat. I haven't tried the pork and napa dumplings yet but suspect those will be good as well. We also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and I thought the soup was good, albeit salty, and the noodles were good.

Yelp
One more off my bookmark list! Been eyeing this place for a while. All the reviews say its a great place for the noodles. So had to try it for myself. Looking over the menu, there seemed to have lots of vegetarian options. We ordered the vegetable cold noodles with peanut sauce and the veggie dumplings with hot and sour sauce. It was all great. The dumplings was awesome sauce. I would have licked the plates clean if I wasn't going to get wierd looks. They also served free hot tea. (which should be standard in all restaurants btw). The inside was the usual I.D. Chinese restaurant, random pictures of toy horses, the quintessential calligraphy paintings of cherry blossoms, random chairs and lots of green succulents and jade plants at the entrance. I wouldn't have it any other way. It is cash only though. I would definitely recommend you come here immediately.

Yelp
This place serves the best vegetarian dumplings in Seattle in my opinion...Side dishes of seaweed salad and marinated boiled peanuts are excellent...Green onion pancakes good too... Now with pandemic on Uber eats for delivery

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My kids were even loving it, despite usually being terrified of trying something new. The green onion pancakes are a MUST HAVE. The pork dumplings were perfect. Truly enjoyed the wonton soup as well. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Noodle soups aren't bad. I got the spicy beef tendon with some side dishes of pig ears, chives dumpling and spicy wontons. Didn't blow my mind but I upgraded from a 3 to a 4 stars due to it being an authentic small family business and how homemade the dumplings were. Dumplings were the highlight of the visit for me and I would be willing to try other varieties next time I visit. But super slow service, you have been warned. If however, you have a chill day and and don't care for time.. it's your place to try. Good simple homemade Chinese food, that will fill your belly full of warmth.

Yelp
I have been coming here for at least 10 years and it's always delicious. My favorite are the dumplings or wontons with hot and spicy sauce, a green onion pancake and seaweed salad. I know I need to venture out and try the other dishes available but I tend to come here when dumplings are on my mind.

Yelp
Ordered on Uber Eat. Found a bug on rice with brown beef and vegetables. Not good. No

Yelp
One of my favorite bites the last time I was in Seattle! This was my first stop on the Chinatown food tour last year and I tried the cold noodles and dumplings. Man, I wish the portion sizes were bigger because those cold noodles were AMAZING. Balanced flavors and silky noodles, wow. The dumplings were also large, filled to the max, and had great flavor. Can't wait to go back and try a few more things on their menu!

Yelp
I have been coming to this place for years and it still is one of my favorite go to places to eat. We started with a couple of appetizers: everything is handmade here, you can see the ladies folding dumplings sitting across from you! Green onion pancake is super crispy and delicious! We also got the pan fried pot stickers which are long and skinny instead of fat, but they are so crunchy and good. Size has definitely gone down since the previous years, but I guess that's ok. We also ordered the boiled pork and Napa cabbage dumplings on the side. I always order the Szechuan spicy beef noodle soup (#13) with the skinny noodles. You can request udon or skinny noodles. The soup is so flavorful here and there is such little fat on the broth. It has such a deep beefy flavor! You can definitely catch me here again, maybe this week! It's cash only though, so do not forget that!

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times were phenomenal. The green onion pancake is one of the best I've ever had. I'm a huge fan of the peanut veggie noodle soup - I think about it daily and wish I could eat it every day. I highly recommend this restaurant!
