Tacos el Muchacho Alegre (Happy Boy)

Had one each of the regular tacos.....carne asada, pork al pastor, chicken and carnitas. Very good tacos and friendly service. Heard great stuff about all of their stuff and can't wait to go back when I am in town again.

I have hired the Tacos El Muchacho Alegre truck twice now - the first time for work, and based on that experience, I hired them for our (large) rehearsal dinner party for my wedding. They are SO fantastic to work with, and the food is delicious. They are very communicative in the planning process, which is so nice. When planning a wedding, you are dealing with so many details - it is great to work with a vendor who is just on top of it all! And the food is incredible - so many of our guests mentioned how much they loved it. We invited 115 people to our rehearsal dinner/casual welcome party, and Tacos El Muchacho Alegre handled it without any problem. I will definitely be hiring them again!

I had the pleasure of trying out the food truck that came to Kastner Honda today, and WOW, what an experience! From the moment I stepped up to the window, the friendly staff greeted me with big smiles and a warm welcome. The menu had so many delicious options, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I went with the Taco plate and it was absolutely mouthwatering! The flavors were incredible, and you could tell that everything was made with care and high-quality ingredients. The portion size was perfect, and I left feeling fully satisfied. Not only was the food amazing, but the truck itself had such a fun, vibrant vibe that made the entire experience even better. It’s clear this food truck is a local gem, and I can’t wait to see them back at Kastner Honda again soon. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out—you won't be disappointed! Visiting from Australia and these are the best tacos we’ve ever had!!! Shrimp taco was so delicious and the guys were so lovely. Would come back regularly if we didn’t live so far away 🥲

It's a taco truck with great food, service with a smile, handy advice and outdoor seating. We had 4 different tacos and a dogo. Our order taker was super helpful and suggested ordering our tacos crispy style. We had one that way and now we wish we would have gotten all that way. Everything was made to order and came out piping hot. We will go back again when in Napa!

I've eaten at the truck before and it's delicious, but my review is for their catering service. I had about 40 people coming to my place for a party and Antonio and Junior took such good care of me and my guests. I can't thank them enough. They were right on time, had everything handled and took over, getting it set up in minutes. The food was delicious, there was lots of it, their service was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Our guests raved about the food, came back for seconds and thirds and I will call them next time I need to feed my friends. Thanks guys!

I’m writing this as I am still eating. Best shrimp taco I’ve ever had in my whole life. Service was incredible - friendly, and quick. Will be back for breakfast tomorrow.

In Napa for just a day - and so happy to have looked up Tacos El Muchacho Alegre. Exactly what I needed! I ordered asada, chicken, el pastor and shrimp and they were knockout. especially loved the salsa. amazing food, amazing people. BIG love from London friends - see you next time! X

Taco truck with a nice spot in the shade and plenty of benches to eat on-site. My Mexican Coca Cola was ice cold and refreshing while I waited for my tacos. What I ordered: two carne asada tacos with no raw onions only grilled. The tacos were ready in about 5 minutes, were packed full of meat, and served with lime and grilled peppers. The salsa was flavorful but not too spicy. The tacos were delicious and the portions were generous. We were the first of the lunch rush and after we ordered there was a long line of people who were ready to order as well. I am so glad we decided to give this place a try as it is much better than some of the more popular places on yelp. I can't wait to come back and try more items. Thank you to the friendly staff for a great experience!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food... try the crispy taco option. This is a taco truck but had picnic tables for you to sit at with a tree for shade.

No pictures but I have had their food at a catered event and bought from the truck. The food is amazing. Some of the best HOT salsa I've ever had. The family who runs the truck are wonderful people. I know a band who seeks their truck out every time they visit from Australia. Give them a try!

The staff was friendly and I thought it was cool that they had seating available in front of the trucks to enjoy your food there. The prices were reasonable as well. Based on the really good reviews I had high expectations going in. I felt like the meat lacked flavor. The food was fine but I've had better and I've definitely had far worse as well. I recommend trying it out for yourself. I liked the tacos the most.

The burritos themselves tasted good, we had the california burrito and pastor super burrito. The super burrito had no sour cream or guacamole and just a little salsa, it was just a regular burrito. The california burrito was just fries, steak and lettuce and salsa. It was missing the key ingredient avocados and crema. A bit disappointing but still tasted good.

Yummy! Yummy! We loved this taco truck so much that we came back twice while we were in Napa. The second time the staff encouraged us to try his ceviche! Amazing!!! The shrimp tacos were the best I have ever had!

Came on a rain Friday mid-afternoon and there was no one in line. There were 3-4 workers in this food truck, it's off the beaten path and not on the main drag where most other food trucks are located. The guy said they've been around for 10 years and I can see why! We got a super burrito (1/2 al pastor, 1/2 steak) and it was DELICIOUS. The fillings were plentiful, flavors were strong, and service was super quick. They have benches for you to eat at when the weather is a bit nicer too!

First review in over 5 years! Felt inclined to spread the word. I know good Mexican food and this is it. Plenty of outdoor seating or take it to go.

We had a Tacos El Muchacho Alegre truck for lunch at our company pickleball event and they were excellent!! Working with Karla and Antonio was super easy and the food was really delicious. Everyone raved about how tasty everything was. I look forward to having them at future events.

I came here because it was 5 stars and honestly it was not good, don't come here they do give a lot of meat on the things you order but it's a cheap cut of meat. The only thing good was the agua de mango y piña.

This taco truck totally hit the spot after drinking all day in Napa. It helped me sober up from all the wine and beers. We came here Saturday around 6:30pm. Not busy at all. We were the only ones there so there were empty picnic tables. But they ran out of lengua and cabeza. We ordered the super burrito with bucha and carnitas. Tender meats and flavorful burritos. Service was fast. Love the grilled baby onions. Wished they gave more.

All the food is really good and the employees are really friendly! I got the bocon warp hot dog which was delicious and a California burrito with asada and was also really good there green salsa is the best I tasted in Napa for sure!

We hired Tacos El Muchacho Alegre for an event and they were so great to work with. Arrived early to give a lot of time for set up, were accommodating, fun and kind. The veg burrito was so good, I was really excited about mine mid-event and kept me full and happy throughout the day! The team was great, guests were happy. Would recommend!

I've been scouring Napa for a California burrito and LOOK NO FURTHER! The SoCal girl buried deep inside me was THRILLED and I'm already jonesing for the next one. The aesthetic - Its a taco truck... that is all haha The team - 10/10 So nice and helpful! Food truck interactions can be awkward and brief but the team was super accommodating when walking us through their recommended items. Our order - 10/10 Quesabirria - Perfectly crisped and utterly delicious. California burrito - This could easily become a weekly staple for me. The fries inside were excellent and the salsa is really a perfect level of spicy. Mexican coke - classic and delicious! Definitely will be coming back to try more things!

So many trucks in Napa Valley but only one so far that prepares the Mexican-Style Hotdogs! Love the bacon & grilled onions and rest of the frills! Could use some grilled jalapeños to kick it up a notch! Regular Tacos were filled with generous amount of meat and nicely spiced. I waited under the trees with the bench and table- Just kick-back wait and strike up conversation with locals. Food Truck is parked in an industrial street, into a residential house, so that can throw you off a little but park along the street... or up the drive-way.

Food is delicious, staff is friendly, and plenty of outdoor seating. Coming back again!

We used Tacos El Muchacho Alegre for our winery club member event on 10/12 and they were incredible! The food is always delicious but what made it so memorable was their professionalism and flexibility. It ended up raining that day (the entire event was outdoors) and their team just worked with us, never appeared flustered or frustrated and treated our guests with exceptional hospitality. It was a large event as well and they kept the lines moving quickly! 10/10 would recommend and use them again for any event, big or small, rain or shine!

I wanted a California burrito. Asked the guys in the truck what meat they recommended with it and they said al pastor, so I went with that. It was insanely good. Probably the best Cali burrito I've ever had.

Have been craving quesabirria and this was exactly what I was looking for! The dipping sauce is a must but you get so much you could share with the whole table or make it into tomorrow's broth for lunch!

We hired Tacos El Muchacho Alegre for our annual holiday party at our home in Sonoma and could not have been more pleased. Their team was incredibly professional, communicative, prompt, and, most importantly, made delicious tacos. As a restaurant industry veteran, I was thoroughly impressed and would without hesitation book them again.

So so delicious! I ordered El Paster tacos and California burrito and finished them all! I've been looking for good tacos since moving back from San Diego, and I'm so happy I found this place. Will definitely return!

Love this place for their Dogos! Totally crave-able!!! Can't go wrong with a bacon wrapped hot dog smothered with sour cream, ketchup, grilled onions and a hot sauce that makes your mouth tingle. Pair this with their Alegre style french fries, which is loaded fries of lettuce, cheese, tomato, cilantro, onion, salsa and your choice of protein. I liked the Al pastor better than the carne asada.

The place is expensive for how mid the food is. They Wrote no onions on it and still put onions in it. Some of the meat was a little less than desirable.

Came here on a whim after a night of bowling down the street. The staff was very friendly (even coming 15 minutes before closing). I wasn't expecting much from a taco truck, but this place delivered. I ordered the Cali Burrito with Asada (no cilantro) and it was delicious. Very tasty and the spicy salsa to dip it in hit the spot. This was a solid taco truck and one I'd like to revisit again and try more things off the menu!

This place was recommended on Eater as a must try in Napa. We had no idea it was a food truck until we pulled up beside it. It was a pleasant surprise to say the very least. They delivered. We ordered a couple of burritos with all of the fixings plus three beverages. It came to about $30 including tip. I paid with cash so I'm not sure if they're cash only. The folks who run the truck are also super friendly. People from all walks of life were stopping by to order food. If you're a taqueria and traditional Mexican food lover then you will love the food here. I love no frills type spots like this. We left full and happy.

Craving Mexican food I wasn't a fan. I'm coming from LA so I guess I'm a snob because I know great Mexican good. It's fine for a quick lunch but was missing that kick I wanted.

Yummy quick stop nearby downtown Napa!! The tacos were solid and the service was quick. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for something inexpensive before going out to drink :)

The greatest breakfast burrito of my life.. get ready. It's going to rock your world. Make sure to "get everything" - the chorizo, the bacon, the works! The al pastor tacos were okay but that burrito... I'd get it again tomorrow. 5 stars!!!!

This is by far my favorite taco truck in Napa. The al pastor is my favorite but the asada is also tasty. I also really like the torta al pastor, it is full of flavor and really good size, very filling. I've also tried the hot dog and it's good as well. The first time I ordered I did it through DoorDash and picked up and when I came to pick up the guy at the counter told me to just call and order to avoid all the extra charges from DoorDash. That was super nice! But definitely give this place a shot

As far as taco trucks go, you can't do better! Solid options at reasonable prices, and very good service. Put this place on your list if you're in Napa, CA

From out of state, and was looking for some good mexican food. This is it, the quesabirrias are the bomb!

I've basically made it my weekly treat to come here every Tuesday after I get off work in Napa. Maybe I should be embarrassed by the fact that I just walked up to the window moments ago and the guy immediately said "5!" And I stared at him confused for a moment... and then he said "5 tacos. Chorizo. Everything on it. No hot sauce" Talk about customer service! HAHAHA. I didn't realize these guys recognized me by now (oops). Especially considering I'm always in my mask and literally look like a freaking walking disaster post-10hr shift lol. I'm super picky when it comes to Tacos. Leo's taco truck in LA was my all-time favorite when I was in college and I was convinced that I'd never find tacos that good again.... but boy was I wrong. I'm so happy I came across this hidden gem! Yoooooo their food here is so bomb! Literally if I'm coming here every. single. Taco. Tuesday. that's gotta tell you something about this truck. Their prices are great, their quality is consistent, tacos are flavorful, grilled onions are an added plus! Not to mention, customer service is amazing! The gentlemen working here are always super friendly and they're quick to get orders out, too. Honestly, best tacos in the entire "North Bay region". Check them out, y'all won't regret it! (Seriously, hiiiighly recommend their tacos, so freaking delicious and juicy and loaded!)

Highly recommend this place taco truck . We had the beef tacos, birria tacos , carnitas tacos and shrimp tacos. The meat/shrimp were perfectly seasoned and the sauce was delicious. The first batch of carnitas had sold out but the tacos were so delicious that we opted to wait for next batch to be cooked. They even gave us an extra tacos for waiting . Great food and great customer service. Well worth drive from East Bay for this taco heaven experience

Menu Great guys, great food! Steak fries and muchacho burrito are my favorite. Add aïoli sauce. Also they have a great breakfast burritos!!!
