San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"One of our favorite Oakland taco spots has moved across the bridge to Saluhall for four months. They’ll start with tacos and vampiros filled with charcoal-grilled meats, before moving onto a full menu with burritos and guisados. We checked out Tacos El Ultimo Baile and added it to the Hit List." - julia chen 1, patrick wong

The Hit List: New San Francisco Restaurants To Try Right Now - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The tacos al carbón at El Último Baile, a former Oakland restaurant that’s running a four-month trial inside Saluhall, are already completely dialed in. Juicy meats taste like they’ve spent enough time slow-cooking to qualify for AARP, and charred, gossamer handmade flour tortillas hold up the napkins-required fillings beautifully. Options rotate daily, but if barbacoa’s on the menu, don’t hesitate. An expanded menu is in the works, but why wait for something that’s already this good?" - julia chen 1, patrick wong, lani conway

Onsen: Tenderloin Bathhouse-Restaurant Is (Finally) Taking Dinner Reservations for Pop-Ups | Eater SF

"A Fruitvale-born taco and burrito operation run by Dominic Prado is opening a mid-Market outpost, taking over one of the former tenant spaces on the second floor of a market hall. The menu features tacos and burritos filled with 12-hour smoked brisket or topped vampiro-style with mozzarella. This location will operate seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., beginning Saturday, July 12." - Paolo Bicchieri

Yelp
We had ordered catering with them and they did a great job - good amount of food, quick hot and tasty. All served humans have been very happy with what they got. I also love that they offer corn or flour tortillas- only thing missing is a crunchy one - I love crunch j:)

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious but the ordering process was just full of errors. The person taking our order didn't get the right info and we had to correct when reading it back, and then again when he entered it into the payment system (for some reason a separate step), and then we didn't get exactly what we ordered. As someone with an avocado allergy, I was not happy to see my taco arrive with a big dollop of guacamole since the posted menu made no mention of that as one of the ingredients. I've never seen a place put on guac without listing it in the menu. I'd have asked for mine to come without guacamole, if I had any inkling that was how it was going to be served. Again, delicious, but not the easiest to deal with.

Yelp
I can see what the hype is about. These tacos are delicious! El Ultimo Baile is known for their vampiro tacos, where cheese is grilled with your choice of their house made flour tortillas or corn tortillas. Definitely get it! The cheese pull and crispy edges are so satisfying. I got the pastor vampiro with corn and the fish taco. The pastor was savory and the salsas brought the acidity that rounded the taco. The fish was crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The cabbage added a nice crunch. It was also on a corn tortilla. My plate didn't come with lime like I'm used to with other taquerias. But tbh it wasn't needed. Both tacos were well balanced with flavors and textures. I'm definitely coming back to try another vampiro taco, but on a flour tortilla this time. Check them out at Saluhall Thursday-Sundays from 11am-8pm.

Yelp
Popped into Tacos El Baile for lunch and they were alright for 6 bucks. The tacos leaned a little salty for me, no double stack on the tortilla and I wasn't the biggest fan of the pre-set amount of salsa already on them (I like to be the boss of my own salsa game). That said, it's in a cute little food hall spot that made for a nice lunch vibe, and the customer service was friendly and quick.

Yelp
I'm so happy a location has opened at IKEA's Salluhal. The brisket vampiro tacos were to die for! They were perfectly smoky, cheesy and delicious. The service was super quick and friendly too! Can't wait to come back for more

Yelp
Amazing and delicious taxis Al pastor. $9. Great food hall plate. It took about twenty minutes, but worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This might be one of the top places in the Bay Area for tacos, especially with good flour tortillas which you don't find often here. Highly recommend the brisket tacos as that is their specialty, and my favorite taco in the Bay. Will miss their location in Oakland, but Tacos El Ultimo Baile should do well in San Francisco and is a highly welcomed addition to Saluhall (where they are located). Had the brisket vampiro for my first visit to their SF location and it was amazing

Yelp
Came out from across the city to try this place. Long time followers on instagram. But they chose to follow the catering $$ and not notify followers their location was closed so I won't know. Restraint biz is hard, but should notice customers they are closed on socials. Seems like they want to cover their basis at the customer's burden.

Yelp
Between Tacos El Ultimo Baile, and Al Pastor Papi a few blocks away, this has become a taco destination. The Vampiro Flour asada and pastor are my favorites here. You can grab a beer from the bar on the same floor to wash it down. I'll be back for sure!
