Where To Eat Outside In Palm Springs

"Open only since 2019, Tac/Quila is still fairly new to the downtown dining scene, but its Jalisco-style food deserves your attention. The menu is quite large, but whether you go for the shrimp ceviche, roasted poblano pepper, or one of the many different street tacos, know that you’re going to be eating - and drinking - well. The front patio has been recently expanded into the adjoining sidewalk." - brant cox

Tac/Quila

"Amidst the hacienda-inspired elegance of this popular venue, you may find yourself flanked by suit-clad business types quaffing top-shelf tequila on one side, and on the other, poolside-tanned tourists with clothes thrown over their bathing suits as they sip from margarita flights— and everyone seems perfectly at ease. Likewise, the sizeable menu offers room for both street tacos with typical fillings like carne asada or al pastor, as well as more upscale options like lobster and seared ahi tuna. In all cases, the tortillas are made in house, the flavors are lively and the portions are generous. Cheery service will help you select from a bountiful list of agave spirits, and a nudge to finish with a churro ice cream sandwich is wisely heeded." - Michelin Inspector

Google
We had an amazing time here! The menu was super creative and had a ton of fresh, tasty options. The tacos were the best, but there were also great vegetarian and cocktail choices, so everyone in the family could find something they loved. The staff was super friendly and attentive, but not too overbearing. The inside was cozy and stylish with a nice mix of modern and rustic touches. It felt like a place you could just chill and enjoy the evening. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

Google
Once you overcome the mountainous feat of parking, you’re greeted with really fantastic Mexican food. The menu is large, and your choices will affect your experience. Everything that left the kitchen all had very delectable elements, with some being very good, and others being knockout. If I were to give a small hint, the lobster tacos were incredible. The parking fine was worth it.

Dining with The Davids

Google
We’re Dining with The Davids! When we visit a restaurant, we bring a group of friends known as our “Taste Buds.” We typically order a 12-course meal, allowing us to really explore the menu. At the end of the night, everyone votes for their favorite dishes—and those become the stars of our video content. This time, we visited Tac/Quila—one of just seven restaurants in the Greater Palm Springs area featured in the Michelin Guide, and the only one serving elevated Mexican cuisine. Our top appetizer? The beer-battered tempura avocado bites: crisp, golden, and perfectly paired with pickled tequila onions and a spicy aioli. In second place: the huitlacoche tamale, filled with earthy mushrooms, epazote, and pasilla peppers, topped with a bright vegan cilantro-jalapeño aioli. For mains, the runaway winner was the a la diabla—spicy shrimp with just the right kick, served alongside arroz blanco, Mexican coleslaw, and buttery rojo garlic bread. While the tres leches cake was a hit, dessert victory went to the indulgent churro ice cream sandwich—creamy, crunchy, and unforgettable. Tac/Quila delivers bold flavors, thoughtful presentation, and a vibrant experience worthy of its Michelin status. Add it to your must-try list in Palm Springs!

Google
I would say the drinks were top notch, we had the Mexican coffee martinis and were a delicious twist on the traditional espresso martini. The chips and guacamole had a great portion, and fajitas were also very good. Would definitely come back!

Google
The atmosphere was great we sat outside in the patio. The service was excellent and attentive we asked for recommendations for our drinks and food menu. I ordered the Felipe Orlando excellent choice. I ordered Accachera steak taco very good side of rice and beans very flavorful. I will definitely come back to try other food and drink choices.

Google
Came here for a friends going away dinner and had an absolute blast!!!! We sat outside by the road. There is street parking or paid parking nearby that is available. I highly recommend the lobster tacos and calamari. Mexican coffee and shrimp tacos and beef nachos. Food came out fast. Drinks are strong and delicious. Ill definitely be back.

Google
Everything was super tasty and we had a great time. Several were confused as to why we didn’t have some type of chips and salsa or something at the table, but we’re all from the Midwest so maybe that is what we like to call, “Tex Mex” and this definitely was not that. The drinks were great but they took a little bit long to get back to the table. Not because of our server, but I’m guessing bc the bartender was backed up. Overall great experience and would totally go back!

Came back again on our next trip. Still love the ceviche! Smokiness of the mushroom tacos is amazing, liked the avocado tacos. Shrimp tacos had great flavor but too spicy for me. Prickly Pear margarita is amazing!

Yelp
This might be the best Mexican food I've had in Palm Springs. Their Pozole Soup was perfect for this cold January weather, it is meaty and the guajillo broth warmed my soul. The meat of their Carne Asada Plate was tender and juicy. The Grilled Shrimp Tacos came with 2 tacos that paired well with chipotle mayo and the house made tortillas. The Cadillac Margarita was very refreshing definitely better than the regular margarita. I also tried the Dos Topas Mexican Lager which paired well with the margarita although I prefer Victoria, Corona or Pacifico which they did not have. Our server Aide G was awesome! I made a mistake of biting my the grilled jalapeño that came with the Carne Asada Plate we ordered and it was super spicy. I was sitting in pain when Aide offered to bring horchata to help subdue spiciness. Their horchata was THE BEST HORCHATA I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE. I had to make it all caps, it was that good! Great vibes! Even though they have limited indoor seating, which is where everyone wants to be seated due to the cold weather. The outside seating is not bad since they have heaters blasting. Overall, I highly recommend Tai/Quila to anyone visiting Palm Springs. I can't wait to return on my next trip!

Yelp
I'll start by saying I'm actually sad not to leave 5 stars, because my experience here was great. However, a restaurant that gives you food poisoning just can't be considered, well, good. We were lucky to get a table inside (especially because it was 50 degrees out). We were seated by the door in the bar area but also near the fireplace so we had more heat than some other indoor tables. My friend and I each got the margarita flight and enjoyed all four, they all had different flavors and presentations and were quite delicious. We also loved the beer battered avocado tempura, a bit bland but still tasty. Our server was great and brought out flan with a sparkler for us since we were celebrating big birthdays. However, the mushroom taco gave me food poisoning. I woke up in the middle of the night extremely sick. It's a shame because I liked it originally. But there's absolutely no way I could recommend it based on what it did to me. While I enjoyed my experience here and appreciate their kindness for our birthdays, unfortunately I can't recommend going based on it making me sick. I'd look for one of the other Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs instead.

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks, and service! I loved the margarita flight, and the vegan food was fantastic, albeit a bit spicer than expected. Definitely check out this spot next time you're in Palm Springs! We loved the front patio, and appreciated that it was dog friendly.

Yelp
If you go to Palm spring downtown, this is THE PLACE! Such a cute little restaurant, so vibrant! Food is excellent, very fresh and they are not stingy with avocados! Everything is house made. There's always a wait so put your name down and shop around. Their short rib tacos and enchiladas are amazing, shrimp tacos is a must, and fajitas are sizzling and flavorful. Def recommend coming here!

Yelp
One of those popular spots on the strip. Most of our travels to the desert, we end up here and it's pretty good. Flight of margaritas is a nice way to taste the different flavors without committing to one regular sized. Had reservations and we chose to be outdoors, but not at the parklet and sat closer the hostess' station for more privacy. Had the chips and guac - always solid. Had pozole nice chunks of pork and comforting, kids quesadillas and taco + dessert.

Yelp
Fabulous dinner at Tac/Quila - although we didn't realize that it was the same owner and almost identical menu as Clandestinos that we just visited! We went with similar options - Carne Asada, Fajitas, and the Chicken Enchilada was amazing! Marg sampler was fun and photo worthy!
google avatar

Yelp
Great drinks, food, and service!! There is always a little bit of a wait to get a table but the service and food make it worth the weight. We were seated in their back patio which I wasn't to sure about because the inside and bar area look a little nicer but I actually enjoyed that it wasn't as loud and crowded. The short rib enchiladas were loaded with meat and they were so tasty!! We also had the calamari appetizer but I forgot to take a picture.. the margarita flight is perfect if you're not sure what to order. . Fun place to stop and eat if you are visiting Palm Springs!!
google avatar

Yelp
As always very nice ambiance, service was excellent. Three of us had the Poblano Chile which was very good. The chicken nachos were a bit in the wet side, chips were very soggy. The Mexican corn was not so good, very bland. Keep in mind this place is on the pricey side for what you get.

Yelp
Right when we walked up and were waiting in line to be greeted, Briana was bright and cheery and such a wonderful first impression!! She really set us up for a wonderful evening. No matter where you sit in this restaurant it's going to be a great seat. They have it decorated very cute everywhere. I have been here multiple times and every time it gets better! Our server, Daniel Was fantastic, he gave us great recommendations and was on top of everything we needed before we even knew we needed it! We started off with the taco chips and street corn (sorry phone didn't eat first) they were both so amazing. The street corn has a great Smokey flavor and is FULL of flavor not bland at all like some other places. The taco chips come with 3 different sauces to dip in which is so fun! I got the birria tacos and when I say they are some of the best birria tacos I have ever had, they are perfectly crispy. The carne asada tacos and plate were both fantastic as well! The food and service is always amazing here and we look forward to coming back every time!!

Yelp
A Mexican place with sold vegan options, a cute vibe, and good service! The Vegan Tamale was so good. At first, I didn't like the green salsa but it really grew on me. Can I order these by the dozen for the holidays? As for entrees, the Vegan Enchilada was delish, but the beans and rice were a tad bit disappointing. Thankfully the Margarita was the perfect thing to wash it all down with.

Yelp
Being in Palm Springs for the day, we wanted to try something that we couldn't find back home. So after looking at dozens of reviews we decided to come here for lunch. The hostess desk is right off the main walk way. Small and difficult to see and know where to check in at initially. You have the opportunity to sit outside in their covered patio or inside where the wall opens to the outdoors, or a more enclosed indoors area. Being that it was nice weather we decided to sit inside with the open wall (best of both worlds). The vibrant colors of the room is what initially gets you. There's pops of colors everywhere here! Put together and designed really well. Next thing you notice is the great customer service. Our waiter and his team of support staff were on it. With topping off our waters, clearing our plates, answering our questions. They were friendly and professional thru and thru. The food came out really quick. And they were all beautifully crafted and pleasing to the eyes. 1. Taco chips- there was 8 of them. Little tacos with beans inside. Came with 3 different dipping sauces which really changed the flavors of the taco chip. Really good sauces!! Refried beans inside was smooth and silky. The taco was crunchy and delightful. Maybe a little too oily. 2. Street corn- i really enjoyed it being off the cob. It was cooked perfectly. Would've been nice if there was a crema type sauce on it. But tasted great mixed in with the entrees rice and beans and enchilada sauce. 3. Short rib enchiladas. 2 somewhat large enchiladas. Covered in sauce and crema and queso fresco. Short rib was soft and tender. Fell apart nicely. Enchilada held together well, kept everything together. It was visually appealing too!! The rice almost had a seafood type taste to it, like it was cooked in a seafood broth. It was excellent. And then mixing in the corn, beans and rice into the enchilada sauce was like having another appetizer altogether!! Overall my experience here was amazing!! Truly elevated dining without being snobby or too expensive. I love it when 4 people share 2 apps and get 4 entrees and all 4 people underestimate the amount (taxes included)!!! I can see why this place has thousands of reviews and yet their rating is pretty high!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
We really like the margarita flight- prickly pear, watermelon, pineapple, cucumber. It was excellent our least favorite was the cucumber. The appetizers were great We got the avocado and the excellent stuffed peppers. Chips, salsa, and guacamole. were tasty. The peppers were a bit on the spicy side. We were a little less pleased with our main courses. I got the short rib tamales, and the flavor was bland. The chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce were good. The other people we were with really like octopus ceviche, and the shrimp tacos. Service attentive and helpful. Ambiance was beautiful and creative.
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered the Birria tacos and enchiladas! The food was delicious but not something amazing. We are from Texas so I am comparing it to our local Tex-Mex cuisine. The presentation of the food and ambiance of the restaurant was spectacular. It felt very modern and classy. When we went, they were very packed but they were able to accommodate us very quickly.
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
Our server was very helpful and friendly. It was a cozy atmosphere and it feels intimate inside and there is a nice patio area if the weather is nice. We shared fajitas (beef and shrimp) and they were delicious. Everything was very flavorful and we definitely went away full and satisfied. We love this place and will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The server was nice and friendly. Had great service here. The decor was cute walking inside - was a bit dark but I wasn't bothered. Ordered a flight of margarita and the drinks were pretty refreshing. Would definitely go back for some drinks, but I don't think I can go back for the food. I ordered the short ribs enchiladas, which were okay (small portions) - the beans also needed salt and rice had no flavor.

Yelp
Must try: Beef Tempura Avocado Bites, Steak Nachos, Grilled Chicken Fajitas, Carne Asada Plate, Arco Iris Salad, Chente Cocktail! Why: Everything was delicious! We did family style so started with Beef Tempura Avocado Bites, Stuffed Guerito Peppers (too spicy for me but family loved it), and Steak Nachos. Nachos had lots of medium rare and tender steak topped with avocado slices. Avocado Bites were slightly crispy outside and avo-mushy center with spicy aioli sauce with a side of pickled tequila onions! Arco Iris Salad had a neat presentation with cucumber wrapping the greens - light, refreshing, with some sweetness from apples and mangoes. The Chicken Fajitas and Carne Asada Plate were great for sharing to try different meats. I washed it down with a Chente Cocktail, which had Bourbon, Strawberry Puree, Agave, Lemon Juice, Passion Fruit Liqueur, and Ginger Beer - sweet and strong! We finished with Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches - ordered 2 because they were out of this world good! That unique churro pancake style with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and strawberry slices was to die for! Notes: Lovely and spacious restaurant good for small and large parties. Easy to get to walking on the main street of Downtown Palm Springs with plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating with neat decor. Menu was cool too with leather cover. The booth and chairs were comfy too. Hostess and Server LuLu were friendly, helpful, and awesome. Workers were all attentive refilling water and taking away plates. Bathroom was clean and also spacious. I appreciate the thick hand towels after washing your hands. Overall, fantastic family dining experience!

Yelp
I really enjoyed Tac/Quila on my trip to Palm Springs. The margarita was tasty and I loved the enchiladas! It was my first meal in the city and it was the perfect place to start. Of course it was very hot as I went in the middle of July, but the restaurant was cooled off very well and the staff was very attentive to any needs I had. Great service and vibes!
google avatar

Yelp
Great experience! Food and drinks were great ESPECIALLY the cocktails strong & beautiful presentation. The stuffed poblano pepper was great and really filling. The papaya salad was a show stopper. Great service!

Yelp
I enjoyed the ambiance and service and their food was very good. We tried their Barbacoa plate (5/5), Quesobirria tacos (3/5) and their stuffed pepper (4/5). I'm from Jalisco so I'm rating their birria against my experience but it lacked flavor. Their Barbacoa and stuffed pepper were amazing. We also had their lava cake (5/5) and their margarita flight. Our favorite flavors were piña and spicy margaritas. Overall good experience.

Yelp
Great ambiance, good service and good food. Loved sitting outside and having drinks. We could get used to being down here with this weather in November!

Yelp
The man + I have visited Tac/Quila during both the daytime and the evening - and it feels like a completely different experience, but both great! First, this place has a LOT of seating so there's a fair chance you can get in without a reservation. There is a patio on the street side (the best place to people watch), a nice indoor dining area + a cozier indoor area with a fireplace next to the bar (perfect for chilly desert evenings!), and a large, shaded patio in the back (best for brunch/lunch on a hot day). The food is good and the service is friendly and plentiful - there is always someone refilling water, etc. Definitely worth a visit! B O T T O M L I N E : Go! Reservation probably not needed so this is a good spot for a drop in.

Yelp
This is on the Michelin Recommend list and I don't disagree for the area. I did not make a reservation but put my name in for a party of 4, the wait was between 45min-1hr. After waiting our time we were taken to the partially outdoor back patio which I liked as it felt more secluded and intimate than the front patio by the sidewalk. Our server was kind and knowledgeable about the food. He took his time with bringing us our second course after the Ceviche, which was appreciated. The food was delicious. We got mango habanero shrimp ceviche, it was juicy, spicy, and fruity. Everything came out in a timely manner, hot and fresh. I had a seared ahi tun taco, the sauce had gluten in it so our server removed that and brought me several other options to try with the taco and gave his opinion on which one he likes the most (useful and correct!). Surprisingly the single taco with avocado and rice and beans was filling and I did not feel as though I needed a second taco or dessert. I always enjoy a margarita flight (can't go wrong there), I like the prickly pear the best. Overall good experience and I would suggest this, plus go back again to try other food on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Made a reservation for a Friday night, and we were seated right away with a choice of 2 tables upon arrival. We picked one closer to the street for a little breeze and people watching. Our server greeted us fairly quickly. We started with drinks and chips/salsa/guac. I did the spicy refescado. It was definitely refreshing, but I probably would do something different next time. The chips and salsa were good - the guacamole maybe needed just a bit more cilantro (which I know can be a touchy subject). After that, we ordered the lobster tacos, quesadilla trio, and one of the enchilada dishes (chicken I think, but I didn't eat those). I shared the other two dishes. I would say that both were good, but having so much Mexican in San Diego, they didn't stand out. Service was pretty good. Overall the experience was nice, and as far as Palm Springs goes, it is definitely one of the better spots I have been.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious and very inventive Mexican combinations, well above the average tacos, etc. Knowledgeable and friendly service in a really pleasant setting. Well worth another visit, esp since the impressive array of offerings was more than my wife and I could tackle at only one lunch. We'll definitely be back, maybe for dinner next time.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know what's better; the food or service! An excellent choice considering the many Mexican restaurant options. Beautiful restaurant, lovely ambiance. The food presentation was spectacular as was the food. Wonderful cocktails, refreshing and stiff ! I can't wait to be back that way. THE FOOD: Shrimp Nachos - hella good loaded with shrimp Fried Fish tacos - very good, not thick batter, sauce was perfect. Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches - I can't believe how delicious this was. We were too full to finish. Excellent choice Chicken nachos - hella good. Large portion Quesadilla sampler - really good! Chicken, beef, zucchini blossom. Grilled Chicken Fajitas - hella good! Don't share next time CRAB CAKES - perfect! Grilled Avocado Salad - woooow! Delicious

Yelp
Do yourself a favor, turn around right now, walk across the street and go somewhere else. I've been waiting a long time to try this place. We found ourselves in Palm Springs for a mid week getaway and made this our priority night #1. Is it pretty? Absolutely. It has bar seating, street seating, a semi outdoor seating and of course indoors. The drinks coming out from the bar were gorgeous and we could not wait. We started off we a margarita flight (Pineapple Passion, Watermelon, Prickly Pear and Spicy Refrescado) and a classic refrescado. They were mediocre at best. The refrescado has cucumber water in it, they don't lie. It tasted like a watered down margarita. My husband gave the flight about a 6/10 on a scale of deliciousness. We weren't impressed by the drinks which weren't on the cheap side for the size and quality. We ordered the taco chips because every photo on yelp looked pretty good... they were not. They consisted of a half filled (beans... where were the beans), overly fried tortilla chips and 3 sides of dipping sauce ( guacamole, a green salsa which was fine, and what we could only describe as tomato soup?). Try it if you must...

Yelp
Service was a little slow at first and their menu is on the pricier side for Mexican food , but definitely worth it! Staff were friendly and attentive. Food tasted great, HUGE fan of their rice style

Yelp
A terrific restaurant with a creative take on Mexican cuisine. We have passed it many times, and didn't pay attention until some friends recommended it. We only ate there once (lunch), and it was our last day in Palm Springs, if we had gone on the first day of our stay, we would have almost certainly gone back for dinner. But, based on this one visit, the creative menu (and a very fun margarita flight) its well worth the visit. It does get busy during the winter season, so seems reservations are almost an essential.

Yelp
One of the best places in Palm Springs It was lovely ambiance, we ate outside It was a rea. The key was long day and we came for a good evening meal, it was very difficult to find a table to walk in early. We were a large group after 6 PM. The ambience was awesome. The service was electric fast, we could not believe how quickly the food was coming out. The drinks were awesome. Both Isaiah and Daniel were the best! Thank you!! Our family was very happy with everything!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped here today for lunch and sat at the bar. It was 114 outside and the bar was lovely and cool, the margaritas were perfect. The bartender and all of the staff were super friendly, made great suggestions for menu items and places to visit in the area. We both had a fresh margarita- she had the watermelon, but with a spicy twist and I had the cucumber jalapeño one, but with mezcal added. The aqua chili was really good also, we picked the verde Serrano one based on our waiter's suggestion. Although we only tried a couple of things- we were really impressed with them. Between the food and service, we were both really happy. It was a perfect start to our desert weekend getaway!

Yelp
Came here with a group of co-workers while we were visiting the area for a conference. We made reservations and was seated immediately. The waitress was super kind and patient as she went around taking orders for our group of 8. We had the gaucamole and chips and mixed quesidillas for starter. I've never had a gaucamole with a kick to it and this was delicious. The other accompanied sauce was really good as well. We even used to zest up the other food items we got. I ordered the watermelon margarita and was not impressed by it. It was however, refreshing. Other colleagues got the pineapple passion and they raved about it. Overall, good experience, nice ambiance and good food.

Yelp
Visited Taquila for a business luncheon and had a wonderful experience! The service was excellent--very fast and prompt. Our server was incredibly attentive, and all our drinks and food came out amazing. Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Yelp
Food: flavorful with great food presentations, my college friend really liked eating here our last night of Palm Springs outing! It was slightly on the smaller portion size (only 2 little crab cakes) and slightly saltier (especially the enchilada) than I would have normally liked, but still good food regardless Price: crab cakes and ceviche were about $22 each, I think short rib enchilada was in the high 20s, cake was about $12. Kinda pricey for Mexican food, but they make up for it with upscale plate presentation and restaurant vibe Ambiance: went here on a weekend night, most tables were filled, we ended up sitting on the patio outside with heaters, which was cute and romantic, good sight of people passing by on the streets. good place to come for date night and get some adult drinks, but not so much with little children Service: good, no issues with the staff here, got our food and water without any hassle Parking: there was a decent sized parking lot about half block further away from the restaurant, thankfully we found parking and just walked about 3-5 minutes over

Yelp
This place is so cute with Tulum vibes. Food and presentation was on point. Our servers were always friendly and attentive. Free dessert for our birthdays, highly recommend when you're in Palm Springs

Yelp
The aguachile was very rich in flavor and spicy. Definitely recommend trying the mango habanero flavor!

Yelp
4.5/5. We really enjoyed our meal at tac/quila. The drinks were very good to start. We also started with a side of chips and salsa/guacamole. The salsa and guacamole were both really good and you could just eat the plain chips. I had the stuffed poblano pepper with carne asada and it was really good. It all came together in every bite. For dessert we had the churro sandwich which you can never go wrong with. A great experience all around.
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
The food is still great, especially the fajitas and margarita flight! We weren't big fans of the stuffed peppers as they seemed room temp and a little off so I would recommend avoiding those. The service was also pretty slow, I know it was Saturday but it felt like our waiter was distracted or disinterested. There were a few minor mishaps that added up. It is expensive and at the end of the meal it felt like a 3/5 experience, but we know how good they can be. . .

Yelp
Was sat by the bar, altho made reso for a booth inside. So that sucked. It was a hot day and we were barely kept cool. Asked for recs and server highly recommended the poblano. My dish was good but I dont think it was worth the price tag at like $27. Visually ugly but i guess its hard to make this cute. Nobody really liked their green rice but I was ok with it. Shrimps looked bug and plump but too bad im not much of a shrimp eater. Very dark inside and loud. The local patrons here were also a little iffy...majority young and hoochied out and some getting too rowdy...bathroom visit was weird... Can totally see into 1 stall, also show thru glass which is so weird and ofc the patrons again. Our server was a bit iffy too. I mean... he kept trying to spoon feed the bday girl the whip cream...thats so weird. I prolly wont be back.... Or maybe try for lunch...

Yelp
Good food, generous portions. Great ambience. Customer service is okay - could be more warm and genuine and friendly but meets the minimum standard. Drinks were good. This is a date spot. Vibrant, colorful and great settings with interior and outdoor seating side by side. Even a hummingbird joined us all for a bit lol. Overall, cool spot for a first time experience but nothing I would return to again or go out of my way for... there are also other similar restaurants in the area so might try those next time I'm in the area...

Yelp
Upscale Mexican spot where you can still dress casually. Came here twice - once with my family, and once with my boyfriend. Both times, made a reservation online in advance in order to avoid waiting for a table (as this restaurant is popular). My main complaint is that both times here, the beans have been watery. Otherwise, the food is decent. My shrimp tacos fell apart as the tortillas weren't strong enough but the shrimp fajitas were tasty. The calamari is a good choice for an appetizer if you're hungry, otherwise, I would go with the crab cakes. Credit cards accepted. Indoor and outdoor dining available. It's good for big groups. Public parking available in a garage a block or so away.

Yelp
Stopped by Tac/Quila for a quick lunch during my Palm Springs trip. Got the short rib enchiladas and the shredded chicken nachos. The shredded chicken nachos were super filling - they don't skimp on the toppings! The short rib enchiladas were yummy but a bit dry. I really liked the rice and beans that they provided. The ambience was super lively. Indoor or outdoor seating, you can't go wrong either way! The service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night for a romantic dinner before comedy show. The weight was about 40 minutes for a table for two, but the food and service and ambience were definitely worth it! The restaurant is in downtown Palm Springs so we were able to park in the free lot behind the restaurant. There were a plethora of vegetarian options on the menu, so many that I was struggling to choose something for dinner. We start it off with chips and salsa and a Watermelon Mocktail-- The drink was superb! Some vegetarian dinner options included Vegan jackfruit enchiladas, Avocado tempura taco, Portobello taco, Grilled avocado salad, black bean salad, jicama papaya salad, veggie quesadillas, vegan cochinita pibil, portobello steak. But I went with Roasted poblano pepper plate-- Roasted poblano pepper stuffed with oaxaca cheese, calabacitas, sweet corn, tomato, onion, and mushrooms, Served with a side of beans. It was colorful and flavorful!! Their menu is creative and maximizes flavor and spice! My husband enjoyed his chicken enchiladas. The churro ice cream sandwich for dessert was just excellent-- not you traditional churro, probably more close to buñuelos, but a cinnamon sugar-dusted fried dough treat all the same! The fact that this restaurant is on the Michelin guide is no surprise. You can also eat at their sister restaurant FARM. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Palm Springs! I would try for a reservation next time.

Yelp
I'm gonna have to go 5 stars with the review. We had a reservation and were seated outside in the back patio. This was our first time and we will be back the next time we visit Palm Springs. The bar area is very sexy. Food and service were great. The calamari' appetizer was very tasty and the shrimp mojo de ajo with the diablo sauce on the side was soooooo good. We also had good drinks and a very attentive server.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Would recommend. We went on a Wed early evening in high season, waited about 30 min. Sat outside. So no idea about the atmosphere of the restaurant. The outside seating had patio heaters so we were perfectly comfortable. Service was decent. No complaints. Friendly and fast. Food was delicious. Had short rib enchiladas (2 enchiladas comes with beans and rice). The meat was tender and tasty and a generous amount of filling. Beans were sort of ranch style pintos and rice was a tasty green rice. Also had the roasted poblano with chicken. Also came on bed of the same rice and beans. The pepper, filling (squash, corn, tomato, onion) and meat were very flavorful. The pepper was surprisingly spicy for a poblano but I like spice so was quite good. Also had a couple drinks: prickly pear marg was delicious not too strong or too sweet. A nice balance; the Diego Rivera (rum and horchata) was delicious. It was like a yummy rummy sweet milk. (I hate milk but I loved this). Highly recommend. Definitely a recommend all around.

Yelp
Great ambience and margarita flight, and we loved the elote corn side dish. But the grilled chicken fajitas and sides were lacking some flavor.

Yelp
One if not the best mexican food place ive been to in my life! The food is so unreal i dont even know where to start.. at least i can def say the short rib enchiladas is worth the drive there.. as im writing this my mind is stuttering just from thinking about how good there were. The tomato sauce they had was so amazing and everything tasted so fresh! The white fish ceviche was also very very good and the churro dessert was worth it. Service 10/10. Food 10000/10 drinks 10/10. Huge selection of mezcal and tequila which i love both. Also our server was beyond amazing. Helpful. Honest. I live in los angeles and eat mexican food at least one/twice a week, it one of my most favorite cuisines and this place is def ranking at the too 1 with the short rib dish! Thank you will come again!!!
