The Best New Restaurants In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"White doilies hang over light fixtures, the steel tables feel sleek thanks to thin single candlesticks, and there are brightly colored finger paintings on the walls in the bathroom. Basically, this Greek restaurant and wine bar in the 11th is anything but ancient Greece. The whipped feta and ricotta tirokafteri dip full of spices and herbs comes dressed with toppings like marinated peppers and cashews, and the tzatziki gets a glow-up from some zucchini. Come with a group and spread out at the communal tables upstairs, and arrive hungry—you’re likely going to want to order the whole menu." - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, sara lieberman, sara lieberman, sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta, sara lieberman

The 15 Best New Restaurants in Paris | Eater

"You’ll find chic odes to Greek Cypriot traditions at this two-story small plates wine bar close to the Place de la Bastille. Chef Paul-Henri Bayart (formerly of Caché and Tuba Club Marseille) and his wife Margaux Varnavidou serve hearty, made-to-order sandwiches and salads by day and a deeply flavorful series of meze by night, including dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), Cretan dakos (tomato- and cheese-topped barley rusk), keftedes saganaki (meatballs), and house-made orange blossom ice cream or Greek walnut cake for dessert. Regulars know that beyond the list of natural or biodynamic Greek and Cypriot wines, they can inquire about Bayart’s small reserve of rare bottles. Located in the 11th arrondissement." - Lindsey Tramuta

If you're looking for an inviting little gem in Paris, this charming small restaurant serving Greek cuisine is a must-visit. It's hands down the best Greek restaurant I've experienced in the city! Each tiny dish bursts with incredible flavor, making every bite a delightful journey.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience at Taverna Restaurant They force you to order a minimum of 3 dishes per person so for 2 people, we had to order 6 plates. With most dishes around 25€ each, it turned into a very expensive meal for what it was, and we were just sharing everything. The food itself was underwhelming most dishes were unsalted and lacked flavor. The wine was very poor: the list is extremely limited, a glass costs 9.5€, while a bottle is 45€, clearly designed to push you toward buying a bottle. Not generous at all. The restaurant is tiny, cramped, and uncomfortable, with weak service and an unpleasant atmosphere dark, loud music, and no real sense of hospitality. Overall, the whole experience felt overpriced, uncomfortable, and disappointing. Definitely not worth it. Picture the size of the table 😳

We came here after an event and had a reservation, but were seated at a long shared table on the second floor. First impression: shockingly small and packed. The space is tight to the point that it affects the experience. Food-wise, it’s good — solid flavors, nothing bad to say there. But eating here felt chaotic. It was loud, cramped, and honestly stressful. It felt less like a relaxed dinner and more like an adrenaline rush of eating. Everyone at our table felt the same way. People were constantly squeezing past each other, chairs nearly touching, no breathing room. If you’re looking for a cozy, sit-down meal where you can actually enjoy your food and conversation, this isn’t it. Worth trying for the food once, maybe off-peak hours — but the space alone makes it hard to fully enjoy the experience.

This is probably the best Greek food that you’d get in Paris. I ordered a couple of dishes and wasn’t disappointed. The service is also amazing, Paul is very sweet and friendly, while helping us figure out the best combination to order.

One of the best restaurant I’ve been to in Paris. Their chocolate Mousse is a must.

Very trendy and cute. BUT clearly overpriced (e.g. greek salad 23€) for the amount/quality, strong food smell stuck on clothes and hair, and service not reactive (e.g. pita bread served warm and the hummus 25mins later).

Truly phenomenal experience, I think about this place often. The one man show of the chef in the kitchen was absolutely incredible to witness and then eat what he'd prepared. Honestly 10/10 food, his service was exceptional too (his one other staff member seemed a little overwhelmed/wasn't particularly attentive, but chef, waiter, owner, barkeep was), and was just so warm and friendly. Will absolutely be back when visiting Paris. It was also just a vibe.

After a dinner with plenty tasty mezzes & natural wines, I came back to try their lunch options and it was a blast! The lunch menu is simple, yet delicious, and with a good price. I had the souvlaki pita with grilled chicken, talatouri, and tomato sauce. Lots of flavor!
