Free parking is definitely a plus, and the food was very good overall. The portions are on the smaller side, but the flavors made up for. You have to try their pumpkin soup , it was absolutely delicious and a standout dish. The Peachy Lychee cocktail was also refreshing and well-balanced. Great atmosphere and good experience overall, would recommend for a nice night out.

Intimate lighting and with few tables. Reservation is recommended. Service is amazing. Food is fresh and flavorful. My only complaint is the eel had a little bit too much rice but I would still definitely recommend it.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and we had a truly wonderful time. Our son, who is a frequent patron, highly recommended it, and his recommendation was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were equally impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. We will definitely be returning to this establishment in the future.

We went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. They chose the restaurant. Storm in a teacup to me. After spending about $225 we still left hungry. Fancy, tiny little food. It was meh in my opinion. Although their sushi roles were good.

Tei Tei feels as close to an authentic Japanese experience as you can get in Dallas. The entry through the rectangular portal down the stone path and into the restaurant where you’re immediately greeted with the team grilling up fish and vegetables is a great start to your dinner. The sushi was fresh, the wagyu melted in my mouth, and the peppers and salad were all delicious. The panko crusted oysters were a slight disappointment. They lacked flavor and the overall texture didn’t appeal to me. The service was attentive and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend Tei Tei!

We had a fantastic experience dining here! From the moment we were seated, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was amazing—polite, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He provided thoughtful recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The atmosphere was another highlight. It was cozy and warm, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance!

Amazing service and great atmosphere. Sitting at the bar is where it's at so you can see the grilling! The nigiri/sushi pieces were so fresh and thick slices. The scallop ones were my favorite. Definitely go with a few people so you can try all the different things. The wagyu on the hot rock is worth the hype

I loved how fresh sashimi, sushi and grilled sea bass were. Unagi don was so delicious. Yes they were small portions but they are worth for good and authentic taste. The location of shop was convenient to commute to. The atmosphere inside and outside were excellent.

Japanese hospitality and quality service at one of its finest in Dallas. My interaction with the hostess already left me with a positive impression. I was running past the ten minute grace period to hold my reservation. Once the hostess received my text via OpenTable, she informed me they would happily hold my reservation. Parking is a little difficult as there aren't many free options conveniently nearby. Self paid parking lot is right next to the valet. Flat rate of $18 for 3 hours. Tei Tei honored my seating request in front the seafood display on ice. Our server, Tiffany, was very courteous and informative of the menu and was able to help us decide on what to order. I'd like to highlight: the Yuzu Pepper Cured Pork Jowl as it carried a tangy flavor and tender texture; the octopus carpaccio was refreshingly smooth balance to the grilled meat; the sautéed scallop were small but packed a burst of sweetness from the sea. All the staff took turns taking care of our party which was much appreciated. I asked for some grated radish for my tempura and Sakamoto san kindly handed it to me over the sushi bar. My cup of green tea was also constantly being refilled without me asking. Needless to say, I left Tei Tei feeling full and satisfied. Arigato!

Just a wozah place. Perfectly decorated and cute restaurant. Really good for dates they provide lots of small places. The food here is so so good but will say a bit on the expensive side of things. The service is a hit or miss sometimes. The staff are truly friendly at times but we busy it's hard to get a refill on water. Not bad but can be at times. All in all great date night joint high end restaurant with great food that provides a beautiful atmosphere.

Came here on recommendation of a friend who is from the Dallas area. Cannot recommend this place enough myself. Everything was absolutely delicious and I honestly spent way too much. Highlights were the eel (unagi) that they grilled in front of you, the super negitoro roll, and the impressively cheap spider roll. I thought the beef was pretty good but it's not Waygu level. Highly recommend coming here for the amazing food.

Amazing fresh menu. I don't trust a lot of seafood out here in TX, so coming across a restaurant that does it right each time is a blessing. I've come here multiple times and it does not miss. Great service too.

Eric R.'s parents treated us to a delicious meal here the night before my birthday. I made reservations a few weeks in advance since I have waited years to eat here. Tei-An is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, so I knew its sister would be just as amazing. Our server Zoe was very kind and helpful throughout the meal. I ordered Asahi on draft, Eric R. got hot green tea, and his mom ordered unfiltered nigori sake (she wanted sweet sake, but did not end up liking the idea of "milky sweet"). I tasted the sake and thought it was nice and smooth. His parents started with fried oysters, and Eric R. and I got the baby yellowtail carpaccio. We shared assorted vegetable tempura next, which had purple sweet potato, green beans, maitake mushrooms, and shishito peppers. Next we had the beef on hot rock where we each cooked slices of beef. That was fun and interactive. I ordered the octopus leg robata imagining it would be on a stick like we had in Japan, but it was actually sliced very thinly and served with yuzu kosho. I liked this a lot because the slices were tender and easy to chew but had a strong grilled flavor. I had never had octopus prepared like this before. Eric R. and his parents shared the baby back ribs since I do not eat pork. They seemed very tender. I ordered the yaki onigiri with yuzu kosho and shared that with Eric R. and his mom. It was a flavorful grilled rice ball with yuzu kosho served with daikon and cucumber pickles topped with bonito flakes. Our sushi course came last. I enjoyed Hokkaido uni gunkan and Spanish mackerel nigiri. Eric R. and his mom had Hokkaido scallop nigiri. We shared three rolls: negi toro maki, spicy tuna maki, and rainbow roll with real crab. The negi toro was soooooo fatty and delicious! This was a very delicious and special meal. Itadakimasu!

Couldn't resist the urge and came back for round 2. Everything was just as good as from my previous review. We tried the sea bass this time, and while the portion was tiny, it was extremely succulent and buttery. Definitely not cheap for something you can eat in two bites, but if you're willing to splurge, it's worth every penny. The grilled eel bowl was great too. Smoky, soft eel meat with very few bones, if any. The best value is still the beef curry, which I'll get every time I'm here. Would still strongly recommend making a reservation, although they do seem to be free for drop-ins later at night (around 9pm).

Ambience - 4/5: Both the exterior, traditional garden path leading to the door, and the interior, are exquisite. The open kitchen, from which wafts the smoky smell of the robata grill's charcoal, really adds to the experience. While the front of house was immaculate, however, the toilet in the men's restroom was quite literally loose and wobbly. Very strange. I'm told the women's restroom was much nicer. Service - 3/5: Definitely got the full "gaijin" treatment here. Tei Tei seems to be used to catering to people who haven't a clue about Japanese food, which can be good or bad depending on your background. For me, introducing relatively standard sushi fish detracts, rather than adds, to the experience. For others, that might be considered excellent service. Adding to the awkwardness is that Tei Tei does not seem to have a good way to get dishes from the kitchen out to the customers. One of the chefs was constantly having to lean over the gorgeous iced seafood display to hand off plates, which were then awkwardly intercepted by the servers. As someone who is used to the simplicity (and intimacy) of being handed plates by the sushi chef when sitting at the bar, this made for a notably odd experience. Food - 3/5: Some of the dishes here were notably better than others. One was truly bad, and a few dishes were outstanding. Details follows: Nigiri, Sashimi & Carpaccio - 2/5: While all of the fish was good (we had two samplers as well as some additional nigiri), I would say none of it was truly excellent, even when compared to other sushi places in the landlocked mountain and southwest regions. Unfortunately, at the very premium price point Tei Tei operates at, "good" is not good enough. I would outright skip the nigiri, sashimi and carpaccio here. If you must get sushi here, I would suggest the bluefin tuna chutoro. Grilled Artichoke - 5/5: A stand-out must-get winner. I've never been fond of artichoke hearts, and so never tried to eat the leaves roasted. However, the smoky flavor imparted by the robata grill combined with the wasabi-hollandaise dipping sauce was a combination to behold. If every dish here was on this level, this would be an easy five-star review. Grilled Sea Bass - 4.5/5: Also excellent. Some of the best sea bass I've had, but a bit of a small portion. Corn-Flake Tempura Shrimp - 1/5: Edible, but not enjoyable. The residue from the batter left an oily taste in my mouth. Inexcusable at this price point. Sake Ice Cream - 5/5: Exquisite. Think a nigori sake but very, very heavily concentrated. A bit strong on its own, but when combined with the frozen fruit and pirouette it is served with, a delightful combination. A must-get. At a lower price point, I would have been a bit more forgiving. However, Tei-Tei charges rather high end fine dining prices, and so those are the standards to which it should be held. While some aspects of the restaurant, truly did meet those standards, others fell far short. Regrettable.

Tei Tei Robata exceeded my expectations with its impeccable service and delectable robata offerings. The cozy ambiance creates a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. From the perfectly grilled skewers to the attentive staff, every aspect of my visit was exceptional. A must-try for those seeking authentic flavors and a delightful atmosphere!

The best restaurant I have ever been to!!!! Everyone was so great and gave us the best service, food was amazing and unforgettable, and the atmosphere was intimate.

Came here while in town for business. This place is legit! If you're wanting authentic Japanese food, this is the place to be. Was pretty hungry! Ordered the Baby Yellowtail Hamachi, Washu Beef, Chicken Karaage, Chilean Sea Bass, and Kurobuta Sausages. After tasting the first dish, I knew immediately the next were going to be of superior quality. Service at the bar was amazing! The beverage list is deep and excellent. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a restaurant that serves quality - simply amazing. I will definitely be back again and again.

Came here on a Sunday night with some friends. We were quickly seated and looked through the menu. We ordered the shishito peppers, the cornflake crusted shrimp, the beef curry, Rainbow roll, Tuna roll, California roll, and tempura roll. The service was very quick and our meals were brought out promptly. The standout dish for me was the Rainbow Roll. The fish tasted fresh and the flavors in the crab and avocado filling were absolutely scrumptious. The tuna roll was simple and delicious. The beef curry, as many have mentioned, is also a great hit. I was excited to try the cornflake shrimp. Although the crust was perfectly fried and crunchy, the breading overtook the shrimp and the natural sweetness of the shrimp was lost. The remaining dishes were standard and tasted good. Overall, I had a good experience. It was a tasty meal and I'd come back to try more of their robata dishes.

We were able to get a reservation at the bar where the chefs were able to give us the dishes on the spot. Every table has a hour and 45-minute time limit but dishes came out at a decent time. They do let you know that the robata dishes take the longest so they should be ordered first. Our favorite dishes includes the wagyu on the rock, pork jowl, and cornflake shrimp tempura. They were mouthwatering! On the other hand, the sushi and sashimi were not as good as we thought. For me, there was too much rice especially for the fresh eel. I bit into a few fish bones from the eel and bluefin tuna nigiri. Other than the sushi menu, I would highly recommend their hot menu items. Valet parking was available when we left the restaurant but we didn't need it since we had early dinner. There are plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. They open right on the dot of their opening time in case you get reservations at that time!

Checked out Tei Tei on a Friday night. We had reservations and while it was busy it wasn't packed. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed watching both the robata grill and sushi being prepared- dinner and a show! They have a lot of daily specials on top of the regular menu. We ordered a few different items as well as a bottle of Sake. Presentation of the items was well done and I especially enjoyed how the sake came in a little box with ice. Everything we ordered was delicious but the Octopus was a little too chewy for me. Highlights were the sushi rolls- one of the best spicy tuna rolls I have had in Dallas. I would like to go back and try more robata items as well more sushi!

Notes: (1) Non bar seats require reservations a few weeks/months ahead (2) Street parking which can be challenging. Came here with a party of three to sit at the bar as you needed reservations way ahead of time. The restaurant itself is very well decorated and clean. I got the sashimi special platter and it was absolutely delicious! Unlike other places, these were not thin pieces and totally worth the experience. I also got the sea urchin and Wagyu beef on the rock (you cook the piece the meat yourself on top of a hot rock). Surprisingly, the beef cooked quick - 7 to 10 seconds and it was very flavorful. They also have a wide selection of Japanese alcohol beverages. It's definitely worth trying this place!

This was such a lucky find! We went to a restaurant close by that had a long wait. So we left and ended up here some how. I can't tell you how glad we were that we ended up here for this culinary experience. I feel like pictures of this place do not do it justice because you can't taste the flavors through the viewing of these pictures. My husband and I could not stop ordering things off the menu just so we could try the flavor. Literally we could not stop eating. The price is well worth the taste. You think you may not be satisfied from what you're eating but believe me it will settle in and you'll be good for a few hours. The service, cooks, drinks and food has been by far one of my favorite restaurant experiences in DFW. This is a must try if you want authentic Japanese food.

Nothing short of amazing. One of the closest experiences you'll get of a Michelin star around here. The food is so good fresh and strictly accurate. The service is close to perfect, you don't need to raise your hand or search for the waiter they are always around. Ambiance is surprisingly simple and home like atmosphere.

You don't have to read the rest of this review. If you like authentic sushi, just go there. Let's start with the service. Our waitress was extremely attentive. She filled our beer and sake glasses regularly and changed our plates obsessively for clean ones. I haven't had this level of service in a long time (pre-covid). The food was amazing. Every item was fresh and tasty. The nigiri was prepared traditionally; fish pieces thick and rice composition perfect. This place definitely earned bonus points for more traditional fare such as baby yellowfin kama (cheeks), fried sawagani (Japanese freshwater crab), and live lobster sashimi (yes it's alive). This is real Japanese food. Lastly, the prices were reasonable. You know you weren't upcharged because some famous chef has their name on the place. Go and book a table. Now.

Updating my review, because I (reluctantly) returned for a visit because my sister really wanted us to bring our parents there, and the server acknowledged my last experience (which is really all I wanted) and gave us a small gift certificate for a future visit. My parents, my sister, and I had a nice meal this time. Our server Zoe took good care of us. As usual, we mostly ordered robata items. We did also get some edamame, shishito peppers, and the cornflake crusted shrimp. My mom loved the shrimp so much and kept eating the cornflakes because she enjoyed the crunch. I had to tell her to stop so that she doesn't get too full before the robata items arrive. For robata, we ordered: - Whole black snapper - Whole branzino - Salmon collar - Whole squid - Grilled rice ball - Grilled rice ball with yuzu pepper - Sweet potato Everyone enjoyed everything. I personally preferred the branzino over the snapper, but I was glad to try both. The salmon collar was fantastic and was super meaty. The squid is always delicious and I love that they serve it with the "dipping sauce." The rice balls are always consistent. My mom did complain that it was salty, but I like the saltiness. I think it would be too bland otherwise. Lastly, the sweet potato is always a nice touch. It took quite a while to come out this visit. During a prior visit, it was one of the first items to come out, so I had to check with Zoe to see if it was forgotten. Sequence-wise, I think I prefer having the sweet potato at the end, so that it serves as a dessert. I was really glad that my parents enjoyed the food, and I did appreciate the acknowledgement that my prior visit was less-than-ideal. One thing that was kind of weird was that they gave me a gift certificate to be used later but it could not be used on this most recent visit. It simultaneously felt like an acknowledgment/apology and also a way to get me to come back again later. I mean, I will probably return at some point, so it's not a big deal, but it was interesting.

We've been wanting to visit Tei Tei for months and finally had the opportunity. It didn't disappoint! The food was incredible and the atmosphere is classy and feel authentic. My wife is Japanese and we're always hunting for places that make us feel like we're back in Japan. They nailed that here. I was a little disappointed in their Japanese Single Malt and Draft beer selection, only because those things are harder to come by in Texas and I was hopeful to find them here. Aside from that small item, everything was excellent. We also ordered Kurobuta Sausages (two orders lol) and Yuzu Pepper cured Pork Jowl which were both excellent.

First timers, the rave reviews had me excited but was disappointed in the long wait time and quality for some items... We ordered uni, chutoro, salmon belly nigiris, and 2 soft shell crab handrolls. Also the seared Hokkaido scallops with uni sauce and the house made shu mai dumplings. From the robata selection we did the miso marinated sea bass and whole squid. Felt like we got a good variety of items to really tell how the place was. Sadly it took OVER 30 minutes for us to even get anything to eat. This is pretty long considering we ordered a lot of raw foods. I understand the robata would take some time but that was the first thing that came?? We were sitting at the bar just waiting for what seemed like forever. We flagged down the waiter and asked if we could have something to snack on since we were starving. He gave us some free edamame but that came at the same time as the food.... The house made shumai dumplings were SO disappointing. It was super overcooked in the steamer. The dumpling wrap was falling apart and the filling was really dense. The scallops with uni sauce were too sweet, like they had added sugar or something to the sauce. Not a natural uni sweetness, it was OK. The sweetness of the scallops + overly sweet sauce. Scallops were cooked well. The soft shell crab rolls were tasty! The nigiri was fine, nothing extraordinary. The amount of rice was pretty heavy for the chutoro and salmon belly nigiris. The highlights were the robata dishes. The sea bass was tender and tasty, and the squid was perfect. Props to the chef!

I wish so badly I could give Tei Tei 5 stars, but the poor service was disappointing. The food is absolutely amazing and is easily one of the best places I've had sushi and robata in Dallas. Tried the yellowtail carpaccio, octopus suction cups, assorted sashimi, chef's choice roll, pork jowl, and the whole branzino. The raw items were insanely fresh and melted in your mouth. The branzino was super tasty, not needing any extra sauces or seasonings, and great to share. In regards to the service, I booked a reservation for my mom's birthday for a late Sunday night dinner in the semi-private area. One would expect great service for a birthday alone, but also because of the more private nature. Food came out very slow and even after people who were seated after, us which was very frustrating. Hopefully next time I come back the service will be better and I may consider updating my rating!

I dont live in Dallas but was there on business and my colleagues took me here. YUM! I dont remember the exact name of what I ordered, but it was a very hot stone with pieces of extremely tender thin sliced beef that I could cook my self on the slab. I think it also came with a dipping sauce. This was possibly and appetizer because possibly ordered another one it was SO good! The atmosphere is also very cozy and modern with nice lighting. Just a heads up, its gets VERY crowded and dont know if they take reservations, so be prepared to wait at least a little while -- well worth it. Wish I had to go back to Dallas just for this awesome restaurant!!

I don't know why it took us so long to re-visit Tei Tei. I frickin' love this place!! Tei Tei was where my bf and I had our first date and we loved everything but shy'd away from going back because for some reason, we always thought it was expensive? We did spend a lil over $200 for 2 people on our first date so when I decided to take my bf for his bday dinner, I expected to spend that much but our bill was less than $200 (tip included!) Drinks: - For me: a glass of Prosecco - For him: he got this refreshing cucumber/lime(?) drink. We were hesitant on ordering it because the description (it had compared it to a lemon drop. And I hate lemon drop coz it's too sweet), but this drink was the opposite of that! I actually liked it a lot Apps: - Cornflake shrimp tempura: my absolute fav. The texture! The flavor! The presentation! *chefs kiss* - Frog leg karaage: I liked it before.. but while I was eating it, I randomly thought about.. frogs. Lol. I hate *live* frogs, so thinking about it threw me off. My bf enjoyed it tho - Salmon sashimi: super fresh! I was tempted to order another but I was pretty full - Tomato prosciutto: just something simple, nothing too special but I did like the combination of.. the sweetness of the tomato with the saltiness of the prosciutto - Quail yakitori: okay, our mistake coz for some reason we were expecting quail EGGS. Not a big fan of this one. Tasted a bit bland? Entree: - Beef tongue curry: I mean, if you're going to Tei Tei.. this is a MUST. The beef tongue is so tender and it's such a flavorful dish. There is a bit of spice to it, and I usually can't handle spicy food but this dish had the perfect amount of spice - Sushi: Ikura, uni, amaebi (comes with fried shrimp heads), super negi toro (I can't remember the full name). The negi toro.. oh my goodness. I'll be thinking about that for awhile. But they were all fresh and tasty! Dessert: - Strawberry panna cotta: didn't feel like we had a lot of options for some reason, but I loved this one. Maybe get 2? Coz I could have eaten the whole thing by myself. I didn't care for the grapes on it though. It was almost a bit out of place. Kiwi & just strawberry slices would have been nice Ambiance: try to get a seat at the sushi bar to watch the sushi chefs in action! I forgot how much I loved their sushi bar (we sat at a table by the sushi bar but I liked how close we were to it). We went on a Sunday night around 6:30PM and we really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. Music at the perfect volume, not overly loud, other patrons being respectful of each other.. just nice & cozy Service: we didn't interact too much with our server too much but she was attentive and nice! Parking: complimentary parking available in the back of the restaurant. Otherwise, street parking may be available on non-busy nights *random tip: ladies, use the ladies' room and try out their toilet if you haven't. It's life changing. Bf said they didn't have the fancy toilet in the mens' restroom tho *if I had to ask for one change: I wish the walkway to the restaurant was better lit. Idk how girls in heels walk there AND AS ALWAYS: tl;dr - just go. Okay? Okay.

So they require reservations due to Covid situation and I was able to book for 6PM. They allow a 1 1/2 hour time per reservation and I was a bit worried I would be rushed. However, every order came out in a timely manner and we were finished with our dinner in an hour! What a successful sushi night! Tonight was a special day so I wanted everything to be perfect but this restaurant surely met my expectations. Sushi & sashimi were both very fresh and once it reached my mouth, it melted away. I ordered the feed me roll which is a chef's choice of a special roll and I was hesitant to order it at first but boy was I glad I did because it was super delicious!! It had a taste I haven't experienced at other sushi restaurants and it was interesting . The cornflake shrimp was perfectly crunchy and the sauce it came with had a nice mixture of sweetness and spiciness. And the wagyu on the rock is just pure perfection. THE BEST EVER! Lastly, I had an Asahi draft to go with my meals and it was an excellent match! The overall customer service was good and the servers were kind to answer any questions I had. Even when the restaurant filled up and became busy, the servers checked up on us frequently. Just as nice the quality of the food is, the pricing can be high but every penny was worth it and I will definitely be coming back!! And one more thing to add, I love the outdoor of the restaurant and how forest-like vibe it gives you. Great place to take selfies and candid photos, shout out to those instragrammers out there

It's been years since I've been to Tei Tei but we made a last minute late reservation a few Fridays ago. Valet is required. Has a nice warm and intimate ambiance. We ordered washu beef & potato croquettes, cornflake crusted shrimp, chef's special roll, yellowtail nigiri, and salmon nigiri. The croquettes were crispy on the outside but a bit too mushy inside. Bigger chunks of beef would've made it better. The cornflake shrimp was a healthy portion of 6 sticks. I really liked the crunchiness and the dipping sauce. The shrimp was a little fishy. The nigiri and rolls were delicious and fresh. Lots of things on the menu so I think I will come back to try more.

Amazing sushi spot! I've been here a number of times, date night, large group of friends, etc and it's always been excellent. Service and quality of the sushi! One of my favorite is the seating by the bar area, it's romantic and intimate for a date. We ordered a sushi spread and some apps to share. Love the baby back ribs, yellowtail app, shumai dumplings, and Chilean sea bass. Highly recommend ordering from their daily specials menu. Always fresh, and the best quality!

Ahhh, Tei Tei. Why can't I pick you up and move you around the country with me? Why can't other cities have your daring seafood dishes, your intimate sushi bar, and your bathroom bidets (don't forget to press,"warm"...) ? Tei Tei has maintained the quality of their food and service despite the pandemic, ensuing staffing and shipping woes, and ever-present Dallas competition. Omedeto!

Phenomenal! My boyfriend and I loved this place. We sat at the sushi bar right I front of the robato. The food was spectacular. Service was amazing. One of the best sushi we have had in Texas.

One of our FAVORITE meals in Dallas. Never disappoints and sitting at the sushi bar is so fun. Food is always fresh and impeccable. Service is always on point. Will be returning again and again!

One of the best meals we have had in dallas! Impeccable service. Delicious food and selection. You must try the dumplings and the Washington beef on the hot rock! Best scallop carpaccio we have ever eaten! Dylan was such a friendly server. Your water glass is never empty. I even dropped my napkin and before I could pick it up they brought me a fresh one. This is a pretty good authentic establishment. The quality of the food was great and the customer service was exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and the experience. This place however is on the pricier side depending on what you order. The grilled artichoke and whole branzini was excellent. The sashimi was pretty good as well. The yamazaki paired great with the food that we ordered.

One of the best sushi places in Dallas. I loved the ambiance, staff, and fresh sushi! For appetizers, we got edamame, shishito peppers, and Bluefin Tuna sashimi. Then, we got 3 rolls to split between 4 people - Bluefin Tuna Super Negi Toro, Spicy Tuna, and Snow Crab California. We ended with the rice ball which was actually delicious. Extremely good!!

Amazing! I've tried a tremendous amount of Sushi places and Tei Tei never disappoint. I usually opt for their uni shooters and sashimi and the fish is consistently fresh. Add their fresh wasabi with a glass of Sauvignon blab and *chefs kiss

One word that describes everything? BUTTER. And I don't mean that in a "everything is saturated" type of way but more of a "everything is made to melt in your mouth" kind of way. From the raw fish to the cooked fish to the hot rock beef everything was just butter. The old fashion is dangerous. Smooth with a slight bite towards the end with hints of orange. Ambiance nice and quaint and intimate. Good date spot, good hang out spot. Would recommend.

Very unique spot and nice romantic atmosphere- the menu rotates which is best and they have a wide variety! I didn't like the croquettes but the spicy tuna roll was great. The rainbow roll was disappointing but the cornflake shrimp was great. I would come back and just order some different items. The drinks were just okay but had unique items.

Hard to beat this sushi and ambiance. I've been coming here for years, my husband and I cannot get enough. The service is exceptional and the sushi top notch- melts in your mouth. The Negi toro roll is one of my faves. The Enoki parcel is to die for! Buttery and steaming hot. Love this place! Also- I don't usually comment on this but I love their bathroom lol. The toilet has a seat warmer and I love it.

Absolutely immaculate. Incredible vibes inside - especially love the table that's been elevated to accommodate those who would like a more traditional Japanese experience. All of the food is of the highest quality and the staff is incredibly attentive and polite. Would highly recommend.

Ive been here several times and have enjoyed my experience every single time. While everything is not amazing, Im willing to look past some of the missteps for the overall great experience. Here are my notes throughout the times Ive been here. Washu Beef from Robata 5oz - pure pleasure. Expensive but totally worth it. Soft Shell Crab Roll - the crab in it was fantastic. Cocktail - they make damn good cocktails. Honestly anything you order you be enjoyable. Grilled Artichoke I really loved this. Has a great char but isn't burnt to a crisp. Shumai Dumplings not what I expected, but still good. Feels more like a meatball than minced feeling. Chilean Sea Bass - evenly grilled, coated in miso, and buttery to taste. A fantastic choice from the robata. Toro, Mackeral, Uni, Smoked Salmon, Amberjack, tomago sushi is all top notch. You can't go wrong ordering your favorites. The corn flake crusted fried shrimp are to DIE for! Beautifully golden brown corn flakes that brings a seismic earth quake of a crunch. The shrimp itself is super fresh and quite girthy in portion. It's like eating a whole prawn in size! Getting just the half order should be good enough, especially if you plan on ordering 6 other dishes. The pork baby back ribs were pure comfort food. They cook this fall of the bone to ensure you can pack away at the structure with chop sticks. The goy glaze just elevates everything! There were some parts that needed your hands but 90% of that dish could be eaten with just chop sticks. The pork jowls were not as magical as I hoped, but they were still a solid choice. Id say if you ordered multiple things, make sure you try to eat the pork jowl first. It's great when it's hot, but once it becomes lukewarm, its just ok. The surprising winner of this dish is the pepper yuzu paste. Holy crap that's stuff is good! It's got flavor for days! The quail were just ok. They could have had a more smoky, rotated quality, but that's just my preference. The skin also didn't have any crunchiness. Try to book a reservation in advance but otherwise you wont be disappointed.

Hello I'm back... for a third time! You know that means I LOVE this place! We got: - 1/2 dozen kumamoto oysters - Toro and scallop sashimi - Anago sushi - Hot rock washu - Baby yellowtail collar Most of the dishes we ordered were from the Specials menu of the day. My favorites were the sashimi - both the toro and scallop were soooo good! If I had to choose, I'd go with the toro for sure. I also recommend the hot rock washu - the beef is so thinly sliced, and it just melts in your mouth! All that goodness. Service was fantastic - we were seated at the bar, and we got to talk to one of the sushi chefs. The owner of the restaurant was super chill and had a drink with us! We were told we had to wrap up by 9pm, but that was no problem, as we were pretty much done by then anyway. I got the tokio mule cocktail - very refreshing and lovely! Our waitress recommended the Hakkaisan sake, which we thoroughly enjoyed - very smooth and goes so well with the seafood! I recommend getting a reservation here, as they are strictly abiding by COVID-19 guidelines with limited seating. We had to book 2 weeks in advance to get a 7pm reservation for two on a Saturday. Valet service was available in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Ha

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, and wow, it's worth the hype, for sure. My dining partner and I were looking for some great sushi and maybe some other dishes, and Tei Tei Robata really delivered. Since we had a long round trip driving, we opted to keep it light on the drinks, but my Cuco Drop (citrus vodka, cold pressed cucumber syrup, Cointreau, Yuzo, lemon, and sea salt) was refreshingly delicious, as was her Peachy Lychee. Moving on to the food, we opted for a few dishes. The 6 piece premium sushi sampler is meant for one, but we just had one bite each and made it an appetizer. The nigiri was sublime, absolutely delicious, especially the toro, which was the single best piece of fish I've had this side of Tokyo. Giant prawn was, well, giant. It was presented bisected, and had a great delicate flavor and texture. Served with a simple lemon wedge, it was really tasty dish. Other than the nigiri, though, the standout of the evening was miso marianated Chilean sea bass, It had a wonderful flavor and a flaky, yet substantial, texture, some of the best cooked fish I've ever eaten. Overall, this was a very good meal, and the price wasn't even quite as bad as I expected. The service was excellent, as was the decor and experience as a whole. Came in again to celebrate my bf's birthday to try other items and they did not disappoint! We were seated at the sushi bar and received great service from both the server and chefs. New items we ordered this time were the sashimi special for 2, shishito peppers, Yuzu pepper pork jowl, and A5 Wagyu beef on the rock! We also ordered our favorites: miso marinated Chilean Seabass and corn flake shrimp. Literally everything we ordered was to die for lol. If I had to choose, my faves from this visit were the sashimi special, pork jowl, and the A5 Wagyu! I think this was the first time I've had A5 Wagyu beef and it was a heavenly experience lol. It took less than 10 seconds to cook on the hot rock and I ate it without waiting for it to cool down..don't care that it burnt my tongue lol but it literally melted in my mouth without even chewing. The sashimi special is so worth it! Not even gonna try to list out the various types of fish but it was the freshest we've had and the cuts were generous. Words don't do it justice so just look at my pics. The pork jowl is a must-order going forward-- perfectly cooked on the Robata grill and seasoned with Yuzu pepper...so flavorful! The Seabass was deliciously flakey and great as always. I'd say you can't go wrong with anything you order at Tei Tei, especially the robata and raw fish items. If I could, I'd come back every week!

What a beautiful experience! Went for my birthday and loved every minute. Service and food was excellent.

What I tried; Sashimi salad, baby yellowtail carpaccio, quail on a stick, whole giant prawn, dumplings, and branzino. I was really looking forward to the sashimi, for my liking the pieces were too thick to enjoy, in the salad and also the yellowtail carpaccio. Now on the robata, the prawns and branzino were delicious, fish was crispy and very flavorful. We tried out this place on a Saturday night and I'm sure it was because of covid but the place was not busy and the ambiance was not what I had expected.
