The best late-night dining in Denver | Eater Denver

"This absolute banger of a K-pub is open until 2 a.m. Tuesday–Sunday, which means nightcrawlers have got all the time in the world to get their fill of its fabulous anju (the Korean term for bar food). That includes army stew, a postwar dish of ramen noodles, kimchi, and American meats such as hot dogs; tteokbokki with dumplings or blood sausage; corn cheese, which is just what it sounds like; fried chicken with garlic-butter sauce; roe soup and DIY rice balls; and so much more — all tailor-made for washing down with banana-flavored makgeolli, black-raspberry soju, and other fermented and/or distilled rice beverages." - Eater Staff

A late‑night Korean pub where the grill theme leans to BBQ plates—think tripe or pork‑skin BBQ—plus army stew, skewers, and soju towers. Highlighted by local guides and nightlife writers for its after‑hours scene and karaoke.

Thank Sool was absolutely amazing! I wanted to try everything on the menu so I will definitely be coming back. It’s a little on the pricier side but the food was great. The food came out almost immediately however we were there way before the dinner rush so I’m not sure how fast it would arrive if the restaurant was busy. The flavors were out of this world, I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.

Google
Depending on your preference on skewers or bbq, they'll seat you on the type of table which accommodate the food(s) you'll be ordering. Skewer table comes with the rectangle grill with racks to stack skewers on and BBQ tables have the little stove for the cookoff. The service was seriously lacking. I chose skewers and the table I sat on had an incomplete grill setup with a tablet for ordering food. I sat for roughly 10-15 minutes without anybody greeting me or anything to drink. Then the hostess girl came by to set up the grill which she did not know what she was doing and my husband helped her lol. It was obvious that she was the only worker for that entire dining room, hostess/server/busser and etc. So we didn't get enough attention for the entire dining experience. The soju I ordered on tablet when I first sat down did not show up till I almost finished eating because it was forgotten. Next comes the ordering system. It's easy enough to order food on the tablet but the foods shown on tablet do not come with any explanation. It shows roughly 10 skewers in the photo but only 5 came on a plate, so there's that. Some food items do not come with any photos whatsoever and without an explanation, I did not know what I was ordering or how it looked like. I ordered lamb and chicken skewers. The grill was not set up correctly which it overcooked food on one side and not cooking food on the other side. So I ended up with meat that's raw on one side and charred on the other. Also the skewers were absolutely the worst ones I've ever had. Very plain and no taste. Skewers, fried chicken and army stew were both very average for the price they charge. I don't mind paying high prices if I'm getting the equivalent services or quality foods to make the money worth it and unfortunately that was not the case.

Google
Great place, we were randomly looking for fried chicken and ended up here cause the rest of the places were closed, and what a lucky find. They have fried chicken, but they have more than that. Fried chicken, calamari, cucumber salad, fried dumplings, all great. Well definitely be back for their BBQ. Atmosphere was also great, good music, nice atmosphere, overall s great experience and not really expensive at all.

Google
Great k-pub for food and drinks. Digital table orders help expedite and everything came out quick and tasty. One of the few places to get jokbal and bossam combo plate.

Google
Came here on a Monday night with my wife. Not cheap by any means, food was good, service was good. We got there at about 9PM. It got packed pretty quick. Very cool experience, they opened up the garage doors, had a nice vibe. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in Aurora.

Google
I have a deep appreciation for Korean cuisine, and I was truly impressed with my visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent, with a much wider variety of Korean dishes than I had anticipated. The Korean-style drinks were superb, and the restaurant's ambiance made me feel like I was in a bar in Korea. Importantly, the attentive and friendly service from the staff was remarkable. This place is perfect for meeting up with friends. I visited for the first time, and I will definitely return many times.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Google
Food was pretty good, we waited a very long time for food to start coming out (almost an hour) and we got there at opening. The service was great, but the prices are extremely steep. We tried a little bit of everything and racked up a nearly 200$ bill fairly quick. You order food and drinks exclusively through an iPad at your table.

Google
Came here with my kiddo for a quick bite. Their menu had broad range to satisfy both of us. Pork katsu was crispy on the outside and soft inside, Jjappaghetti was cooked perfectly with sunny side up egg, just the way we like it!

Yelp
I've visited so often since the first time I came here, and for some reason I still haven't experienced karaoke! The K-Pop music videos on the screens around the restaurant never get old, though. It's best to come here with a larger group (at least 4-6 people) and share everything. Not the most friendly place for vegetarians or vegans, obviously. My favorite items to order (aside from bottles of soju) are Kimchi Pancakes, Spicy Rice Cake, and Army Stew. The Seafood Stew, which my pescatarian partner got, was fantastic too. Still haven't done KBBQ here either. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service is very professional. The tables are usually too small for how much we order, but it somehow works out.

Yelp
Was really excited to try this place, as I love Korean food. Managed to get a table on a Saturday night around 7:00 with no wait, which was nice and a bit unexpected. Sat by the garage doors (this is important for later) which we thought would be cool. K Pop on big screens as well as the playoff basketball game, all in all, a cool vibe. Ordered the LA Galbi and the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. A little disappointed that the Korean BBQ dish didn't come with rice and they didn't even ask if we wanted any. Also, we got like three banchan items, which was a bummer, and the amount of galbi wasn't all that much. Still, it was tasty, and we ordered a side of rice. Kimchi was good, and the tofu marinaded in some chili paste was also nice, but, that was kind of it for sides, and that's one of my favorite parts of Korean bbq! I think I'd stick with more old school Korean spots for BBQ before going back. The chicken was super crispy and tasty and spicy enough, but the sauce was *super* sweet, a bit too much for my taste. (It was also super sticky, so I'd bring hand wipes if I ate here again. It just made the napkins stick to my hands when I tried to clean them.) All in all, I don't regret going, and if a group of friends wanted to try it, I'd probably give it another go to sample more of their dishes, but for dinner for two, I think I'd rather try somewhere else. Service was friendly and prompt, everything appeared clean and well kept and I don't think the food was BAD, but I just wasn't vibing here. They also opened the garage doors for some reason on a chilly night, and I just had a t shirt on, so it got uncomfortably cold as we were wrapping up.

Yelp
This place has a cool Korean pocha interior design which makes a good spot for a late night out. They are open until 2am which is a plus! I would say that everything about this place is great - service was awesome with friendly servers, ample parking spaces, and good music playing in the background - except for the food :( All of the food we got was way too sweet. Also considering the price for the food items, I was expecting a bit more bang for your buck.

Yelp
Fun Korean pub where the Soju is flowing until 1:00am on weeknights and 2am on weekends. HH from 4-6pm M-F is a steal with $8 soju because the price goes up to $13 a bottle after that. Service is super friendly and helpful. There are even call buttons at the table to get service. Upbeat music is playing from the speakers as K-Pop videos play on randomly placed TVs. You can grill your own meat at the bbq tables or have the kitchen whip up one of the many traditional offerings.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! They open up the entire space for a patio feel - perfect for summer evenings. Family friendly, too.

Yelp
The kimchi tofu stew was amazing. Spicier than expected but in the best possible way. I love love love kimchi and tofu and can't believe it's taken me so long to try tofu stew. I got dinner delivered but can't wait to go check out the restaurant in person soon. I barely was able to make a dent the portion size is huge! Nothing but the highest praise for Thank Sool Pocha.

Yelp
After struggling at a previous restaurant, where we never were served, we left and came here. It was about 9pm, they open till 2am for the night owls. We were asked if we wanted to do BBQ or Skewers. We decided on neither, since my buddy and I just washed our hairs. We didn't want to smell like smokey BBQ going home. My friend ordered the Korean fried chicken, with half parmesan rub and half with soy sauce-honey glaze. They were freaking fantastic, the chicken was crispy and light. The flavors were just right. The meal came with sides of kimchi, edamame, chili-cold tofu, and a cabbage salad. As for me, I ordered something not wimpy on the non-spicy for my friend. I ordered a pork belly dish, it was one of their specialties. It came with thinly sliced radish, sliced fresh garlic, jalapeños slices, a good bean paste, and a very very salty shrimp sauce (not my jam). We both really enjoyed our meals, service was great, the waiter was keeping up with everyone's demands, and the food came out piping hot. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
This place upgraded immensely since my last review. We didn't have a reservation for our large group and they compensated very quickly. Their wait staff was insanely patient. Also appreciate the host for giving us a heads up that the music was going to get very loud very soon. It's like a small night club but with food in there. They played a healthy mix of EDM, K-POP, and some Pop. During the regular dinner hours it was mostly kpop. During good weather they open the garage doors, even if the weather is bad there's an awning on top of the porch covering the walking path. So unless there's torrential downpour where the rain is falling sideways you should be dry. The bossam was good. The meat was pork belly and pork feet. The feet was very gelatinous and that texture is just not for me but it was marinated quite well. The pork belly was rather plain so I dipped it in every sauce at the table including the sweet chili sauce we had on the side from the chicken. If you like making your own protein wraps then this dish is for you. The fried chicken was very crispy and moist. Usually I order it with sauce on it but that causes it to get soggy if not eaten quickly. It's very good. The army stew is the typical kind you get anywhere. The sausages were very salty compared to the spam in the pot which is very weird to me. Remember to turn off the burner so the soup does not evaporate. Parking here is still cramped. You will find yourself parking in the neighborhood unless you get lucky.

Yelp
The decor was great: Was sat immediately. The food was served quickly. BUT... I wanted to like the food so bad. And it was just not good. All of it was lukewarm. The corn cheese wasn't cooked all the way through, the spam "80s lunchbox" was warm at best. We got tteokbokki and that was the only hot food. But it was also VERY spicy so if you don't like spicy food, it's not for you. Overall i would say it's still a great place to stop in for late night drinks and snacks.

Yelp
Got here at midnight 2 hours before closing time. I was meeting a friend after work. Host grabbed menus to seat me, he looked nervous. Then he spoke to someone else and said I can only order food Togo. Even though they were open for 2 more hours!! Basically told me I couldn't stay. It was so uncomfortable. I was not welcome inside. Maybe they don't like white people? If I go again I will bring my Korean besties to see if they let me eat in the restaurant. I am from LA and never been treated like this at a Korean restaurant or any restaurant. (I will never support this company) We ended up going to *Funny Plus* instead and had a great time!

Yelp
Korean po-cha 포장마차 vibe. Good service and great 안주 foods!! My favorite Korean restaurant for late dinner. They update their menu with great additions pretty often! Their skewers are very delicious with great seasoning and sauce but very small pieces (quiet pricey). Army stew is pretty delicious. Their samgyubsal is our must have menu as it's pretty thick/good amount of meat for the price compare to other Kbbq restaurants. I also recommend dosirak (lunch box), jumukbop, or spam mayo rice for those who likes rice with their soup. (Last time we had samgyupsal, we mixed kimchi with jumukbop ingredients to make our own fried rice)

Yelp
As a visitor of this great state, it makes me so excited to find gems like this. Being from San Jose, I love a good pojang and Korean bar foods. The most unique thing that I haven't seen back home is a combo of bossam and jokbal (my two favorites). Typically you have to get one or the other. The first time I tried this, everything was perfect. Second time around the jokbal was a bit too fatty for me...but they added cabbage wraps! Overall still very tasty. Their gyeran jjim is bomb as well as their fried chicken (clutch that it comes with the sauce on the side already). Also like how thick and chewy their hangjungsal is (could use a little more seasoning). They definitely don't give nearly enough lettuce with the bbq...but I'm sure they'd give you more if asked. Lots of drink options but we stick to soju and beer (hallasan and cass). Service is super attentive and food comes out fast (although we've only been there before dinner rushes). Decor is fun with classic pojang style round tables as well as standard booths. The mood lighting is a bit too dark for my old ahjooma eyes but I'm sure it's perfect for everyone else. One of these days I'll try the mini karaoke room/booth. That's also something I haven't seen before at a pojang!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots I've eaten in a long time. Fantastic, unique food in a fun atmosphere with friendly service. I wish I lived close enough to come here every week. Hundred percent would order all these again: 1) fried crispy chicken skins 2) kimchi pancake 3) bbq LA kalbi ribs 4) spicy crab soup 5) braised chicken feet, which we even ordered more of after the first round

Yelp
Friday night- jam packed and the service is top notch! The waiters were so quick and did not miss a beat!!!! Food was absolute perfection for a cold night. We ordered the army stew, spicy rice cake, and bulgogi with a side of soju

Yelp
-La galbi ($32 for 3 slices of short rib) side/salad came first then rib 10+min later. -Fire chicken with cheese was good (30+ min wait) -Stir fried squid = few pieces of squid mixed in salty warm sauce. -Beer/drink need to be reminded -To feed 3 people you need to spend $100-$200. -Can't oder kebab at bbq table and vice versa. -Need to patiently sit and wait to order and wait for orders otherwise waiter ignores you completely for the rest of the time. -Music is turned to max that no one can hear each other so everyone is shouting. -No lights if sit near windows, bring your own flashlights to see food. 1 star for the chicken and never coming back
google avatar

Shruti J.

Yelp
This restaurant probably has the best fried chicken, also called fired chicken! It was super hot but we got it topped with cheese based on our servers suggestion and we loved it!!! Soo spicy and so good! Regretted not ordering beer with the meal. Also got the rice cakes with side of blood sausage and an order of the seafood pancake! The sea food pancake was surprisingly so good! Portion size is huge and service is not bad. They were pretty full for a weekday. We also saw people get bbq and maybe next time il be back for that. Overall, good food with good service.

Yelp
If a place can lift my spirits after the Dabin red rocks cancellation then they deserve 5 stars. Great food, great service, great value, cute place! Highly recommend. We're visiting from texas and everything tasted delicious. Just what we needed. We got the combo + kimchi pancakes. Would definitely be back to try other things on the menu like la galbi

Yelp
10:30 pm What a great experience on Wednesday night. No explanation how what where. You on your own buddy! Get the $50 Army Combo.... enough to feed three. I left happy and will return for more!
google avatar

Hui Z.

Yelp
The restaurant is korean street food style. Everything together is a OK place. We were there with only three other tables. Service is relatively fast, host and waitress are both ok, not super welcoming nor rude. Food is below expectations: corn cheese plate doesn't taste like fresh made, because it's only warm, cheese is not running hot, it's already settled w corns. It's probably made a while ago. Both Army strew and fired chicken are both ok, nothing stands out.
google avatar

Richard J.

Yelp
Super comforting food, great vibes, and service is very quick. Favorite was the army stew! So flavorful, variety of meats, instant ramen noodles, kimchi, spices, lots of onions, and a little cheese to add creaminess. So good Corn was solid, spam mayo was really good as well, and fried chicken was decent. The sauce was a little too sweet
google avatar

Mai Y.

Yelp
Went there on a weekday, place had maybe 3 tables being serviced with 2 workers on the floor at night. Service was super slow, workers were drunk and on drugs. after spilling our salad on the floor behind my chair, there was no clean up. Almost slipped because I didn't notice how much a mess it was behind me when I got up. It took over 15-20 mins for them to come back and get our orders. We were trying to give them a chance. Workers were too busy tending to the college kids who kept requesting songs and blowing up the place like it was a nightclub and drinking with them. Then saw the workers and another guy go to the back and come back rubbing their noses. Being in the medical profession and noticing the behaviors/ pupils changes, you can clearly tell something was not right. Other people who came in the restaurant were also not serviced for a long time. Definitely would not return to this place again. Run if you see kids only running the joint.

Yelp
Absolute hidden gem. This place reminds me of a neighborhood Asian eatery in Asia. I noted the majority of the customers were Korean, which tells me this is good Korean fare, not made for the American dollar. Sorry, but if you want that stuff, this isn't your place. The food here is absolutely amazing! I loved it all. From the Army soup to the chicken feet, I was a fat and happy camper when I left. We took leftovers home and feasted again the next day. Still wonderful re-heated. The restaurant is clean, service excellent and friendly, and bathroom clean and smelled good. That tells me a lot. We were promptly greeted and sat down at the hibachi table. While we did not elect to cook at the tables per se, they still brought the food on portable stoves/warmers and it was delicious. We travel from DIA to the Springs often and this is going to be our food stop after late evening arrivals. They stay open until 2am. BTW they are a K-pub and have Soju and other yummy drinks as well as absolutely amazing and delicious food. I hate it that they are going to be a huge success and I will have to wait to get in, but they are doing it right and deserve all the success they get. Go there, but don't crowd me out. Haha. Charisse A. and Elle A. loved it too. Try the fried chicken to start, it was awesome.
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
I adore the interior of this place. It really does have this pub feel from the tables to the seats. When I was here, they played 2nd generation kpop and it was just a great playlist to listen to while dining. For being a pub like restaurant, it is quite clean. The food comes out fast and hot. Our dishes were all really tasty - except for the jokbal. The jokbal didn't have much flavor. It tasted great when we brought it home and created a glaze sauce over it. But the jokbal wasn't what I remembered when I had in Korea (must have been a different type). The fried chicken was really tasty as well as the corn. I always love pairing all of my dishes with the sides. I will say that this place is definitely more fun with friends and siblings. Not a place to bring my mom to who's used to a dine in place and not a pub.
google avatar

Janet D.

Yelp
I'm no expert in K-food or k-pub. But I know the regular dishes. What we had here were a bit off the regular menu. But oh so good! Tofu Kimchi with pork belly. Fried chicken skin-hard to put down. It's chicharrones in chicken skin. Fish cake soup- this clear soup comes with its own portable stove that keeps it hot. This does not taste fishy at all. If you're wondering . It's very tasty though. Blood sausage- this blood sausage has noodles mixed with it and it's soft in consistency. Beef Abomasum beef stomach- this we barbequed table side. I like mine cooked well! Hwayo Soju- Hwayo is the most popular and well-known soju in the premium soju market. This has a subtle note of melon. They posses a Certificate of Inspection from the Arapahoe County. This proves that this establishment is in compliance of the Five Star Recovery Partner Program and may now operate with increased capacity limits as set by the CO. Dept of Public Health. They also serve regular dishes like bulgogi, bibimbap. I want to go back and try more of the regular fare bbq'd! We were expertly assisted by a very knowledgeable and patient staff Calvin. Thx!

Yelp
We ordered take out here the other day and it was pretty good. We got the pocha combo ($40) which came with the army stew, fried chicken, and cheese corn. The spam mayo rice bowl was $6. Overall it was a lot of food and was pretty good. We would come back in the future! The stew was good and had a good amount of stuff in it however the noodles were soggy due to the amount of time it was cooked and sitting in the broth but I don't blame them for that. The fried chicken was suuuper crisp which I loved and the sauce was good as well! The cheese corn on the other hand was super dry and kinda weirdly sweet in my opinion. The spam mayo rice bowl was different but still good! It's different from your typical Korean restaurant but I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. So a friend and I drove up to Aurora to check out Thank Sool Pocha and glad that we did. I love all things Korean food and K-Pub food. Whether you're in the area or not, this is definitely worth trying! We shared a number of items and had PLENTY to take home for delicious leftovers. PS, I've never had fried chicken be crispy the next day, and this one was! We tried out a number of items and each one was delicious! Tako Yaki Spicy Crab Soup Spicy Rice Cakes with seaweed rolls, cheese, and eggs Crispy fried chicken skin Honey garlic Fred chicken Corn cheese The spice on everything was so nice and built up the heat. I'll definitely be getting back when I have a chance and getting some more items to try!

Yelp
First off, I'd like to say that finding quality Asian food is somewhat difficult in Colorado. The quality places do exist, but somewhat elusively. I've tried many different Asian restaurants and this one nails it pretty well. Atmosphere. Korean pubs (pojang macha) have a very specific atmosphere to them and Thank Sool emulates it pretty well. Dark and some may say has a dive bar feel to it but also inviting and familiar. Food. I've yet to have anything here that left me disappointed. Rice ball mix: simple but tastes like what I used to have in Korea. Spicy rice cakes: good amount of spicy with good texture for the rice cakes themselves with a good mix of different vegetables and fish cake. Fried chicken: fried perfectly for a crunchy outer layer and tender meat inside. Service. Most Korean restaurants in Korea have a service bell that just calls the servers over to your table. This is what they are for so please don't hesitate to use it. You most likely won't have to use it very often though as the servers are very attentive. Check this place out. You won't regret it!
google avatar

Joy Q.

Yelp
Authentic Korean place with great vibe This place doesn't give many bonchons, unlike many other Korean restaurants Strongly recommend the seafood pancake. Wings were good too. We'll definitely come back and try more items on the menu

Yelp
Super fun environment. Wonderful staff. Amazing food. What more can you ask for. Definitely a must visit and go to for locals and tourists.

Yelp
Overpriced and the spicy chicken tasted like cigarettes? Very strange flavors happening in both dishes

Monica C.

Yelp
The food portion is really good The service was good The ambiance was really nice Overall it's a food place to hangout with friends and family

Mary Jeneverre S.

Yelp
The menu made me drool as I read the detailed descriptions. The food tasted delicious. The spam found under appetizers, was an amazing salty dish. The portion was generous in size. The combo of octopus and pork belly sounded unusual but was impressive in taste and great portion size.
google avatar

Kaylin R.

Yelp
This has been the most authentic Korean BBQ spot that I've experienced so far in Denver. The portion sizes are fair, the ambiance is authentic, and the service is good. The food is tasty of course too! All meals come with tasty sides. They even have karaoke if you're feeling daring! This is a great spot to try with friends or go on a date. It's chill with dim lighting to set off the vibes!
google avatar

Brett M.

Yelp
Pretty dang good Korean bbq! This spot is in quaint area of Aurora and is just down the street from H Mart (come on Vegas we need an H Mart!!!). The ambiance is very on brand for Korean BBQ and the music choice was on point. This KBBQ joint is ala carte so you pick and choose your meats paying for what you like. We ordered the LA Galbi, the Pork Belly, and the Beef Brisket. Each meet was very high quality and had a nice fresh flavor to it. Only downside was the price. For this price for the meat you're looking at 8Ounce quality here in Vegas. But at this spot it was good quality but no where near the quality of ala carte in Vegas. That being said this is an excellent option for KBBQ if you're in the Denver/Aurora area. The service was top notch and you're supporting minority owned small business. And that's pretty awesome.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Decent Korean food for the location (can't compare to Dallas or LA). We came here while on vacation in Denver. The budae jigae is nothing to write home about - a bit overpriced for the size and what's in it. I would have liked some more veggies besides just green onions and yellow onions. The kimchi pancake was pretty good in flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pretty loud and smoky due to the multiple BBQ vents in the middle of the room. The seating area is pretty cramped, so you can hear the conversations all around you. Service all around was good. I would probably come back if I were in the area again.
google avatar

Kaitlynn R.

Yelp
Best Korean food I've had in awhile. The wings are insanely good and worth the trip by themselves!
google avatar

Austin D.

Yelp
This is the only bar food/street food Korean spot that I know of in Colorado and it is BOMBBBB. One of the best spots to take your friends out for a few drinks and some delicious drinking food. They have everything from KBBQ, fried chicken, hotpots, and really really great appetizers and the best part is that they're all meant to be shared because of the generous portions they give out. I'd say my most favorite two dishes there are the beef tartar and the salt and pepper gizzards, I could eat those two things everyday if I could They have a large selection of alcohol to choose from and an even larger selection of soju to choose from! Easily my go to spot when I take out my friends and family from out of town, great music, great vibes, and the servers are really good.
google avatar

Jesse K.

Yelp
This place is all about ambience. If you wanna feel about Korean pub(pocha) feeling, this is the place you need to check it out. Food wise.... I'm just not quite sure haha. Staffs are friendly and service is quite fast. I would not come here to really eat food but more for drinking and hanging out with my friends.

Yelp
Love this place ! Good vibes, delicious food and great service . Never disappointed when we go here before going next door to karaoke

Yelp
4 stars only because the price is a little steep. However, this place has good quality food that's well worth the price.

Yelp
The service was terrible. Never check the table, never ask for refill side dishes. For 2 nd bowl of side dish, they charged it. Terrible!

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly staff. The parking is rough but worth it. The lychee cocktail is bomb

Yelp
Food here is delicious and great, but why am I leaving a 3 star review ehy? First off, Food options that I highly recommend: Hibachi style rice cakes; great amount of noodles, rice cakes, fish cakes, eggs, and option to add cheese..yass! Army stew - the best army stew in Aurora, ample amount of sausage, tofu, dumplings, and rice cakes Corn cheese - the cheesiest corn cheese ever, delicious! Cons: Water cups/bowls: communal water cups (more of a bowl) have dust and food scraps, questioning how long the bowls have been left out on the table before use. Community box of chopsticks and spoons - of which the chopsticks and spoons aren't washed very well to the point where they have food scraps still stuck on them. Styrofoam plates - unsure of how many people touched the communal plates left on the table..I guess ignorance is bliss Metal bowls served with soup - nearly burned my hands while trying to serve the army stew noodles to my friends

Yelp
I have been so against ramen restaurants for so long just because I feel I make the best ramen and it doesn't ever cost me that much. In any Samoan household youll always find boxes of ramen and if it's not Maruchan it was a hard week and we had to settle lol. I grew up on ramen, I learned how to make it at 5 years old, not a joke. Ramen is my most faaaavorite childhood meals, FAVORITE! I finally decided to give in trying a hotpot restaurant when I moved to Denver because I had tried some restaurants and felt disappointed that I was like well, I love ramen so much, how can this place not be good? Korean chicken wings are ALWAYS A HIT with me! Always! And that was the best thing I ate here! I would go back just for the wings! 5/5 The fried potstickers were 3/5 The ramen, was the spicy seafood one, it had crab, shrimp, mussels, and I was sad because I really could have made this at home. The crab legs were skinny, like tiny like there for decoration. I guess it's for convenience & experience and...Im so for that for anything but not ramen. It was poppin tho for anyone who wants to eat ramen in the midst of a crowd. The 3 stars is for the wings!

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for awhile, and I just wanted to order everything. We order the army stew small, and it was delicious I definitely recommend it with getting extra ramen, they didn't put beans in it though which I am absolutely fine with, but warning it is a little salty because of the spam, I personally didn't mind it. We got the spicy rice cake (deokbokki) w/ cheese. The give you a hearty helping of cheese which I loved. However I didn't really like it as much compared to everything else, it was too sweet for me and not spicy enough for me. One of my most surprised that I enjoyed was the rice ball mix, they give you gloves and it is warm rice with seaweed and mentaiko, and you mix it wearing the gloves. I ended up getting two of these. Something fun to eat. I always get soondae if they have it and any restaurant, I highly recommend dipping it in the rice cake sauce. My favorite all night besides the rice ball mix was the seafood pancake and bossam (pork belly). The bossam you wrap it in the radish which was surprisingly refreshing matched well together. The seafood pancake was made fresh it was lots of calamari and shrimp and onions in it. I will be backkkkkk!!!

Yelp
I admittedly had higher expectations. This is supposed to be bar food. Classic comfort food for the Korean army man? A throwback to that time without celebrating the bad parts perhaps. But it disappointed me at every turn. The water 'cups' are adorable and the decor was fabulous just south of Halloween and día de los muertos. I enjoyed that immensely. The wall of cards in the front has a special meaning for my family. The 80's bento box should be good BUT the spam is coated instead of just straight fried deliciousness and it just falls a little flat despite being something so easy and basic to make. I honestly think I could do a better job and I ain't no fan of cooking. The budae jjigae (army stew) was decent but we got a smaller portion which lacked egg and had a bunch of flavorless sausage and barely any rice cake or other things I expect in there. This is probably my favorite Korean soup outside of soondubu so I was sore about this dish not being it's best self. If you're coming here to drink and have sautéed things that seems to be the way to go. Those groups of people seem happiest. And why is rice cake over $20?!? It's not even that much in New York City one of the most S Korean places ever... this is suspicious. Don't fall for it!

Yelp
This place is SO good. The waiters are always friendly and patient and the food is AMAZING. I have tried a variety of things on their menu and have never been disappointed. Though the army stew and kimchi pancake are favorites! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Thank Sool Pocha is CLEVER, during this second Coronavirus Pandemic shutdown!! We were originally planning on dining into Sushi Katsu next-door, because their Google page states that they allow Dine-In, but the door stated takeout and delivery. We looked over to our right, in between the karaoke bar, and Sushi Katsu, was this orange, "army" post apocalyptical looking tent!! They were allowing dine in!! Inside their orange tent, they had a 6 ft social distant table setting of 4, with a portable fire in the middle and romantic date night lights. Their restaurant remained "Closed," but dine in was totally possible, and Nick and I were just so impressed! Upon dining in, we were given doggy bowls to pour our water in and drinking out of it!! Totally felt like we were in the army. The menu was diverse with Korean BBQ (Bulgogi) and look on what caught our attention: The Army Stew for $18.00!! We received it raw with a slice of American cheese on top, Korean Mushrooms, big capped mushrooms, raamen noodles and a spicy broth to go along with it. It filled us up for two people. Although the soup came hot, we still had it heating up with the portable stove and melted the cheese and dumped the jalapenos inside the soup, making it extra spicy. The side of cole slaw was amazing!! Our server was also super sweet and very nice.

Yelp
i've been wanting to come here for awhile, the atmosphere is loud, with loud k-pop music, that's how it's suppose to be, it's a pub. we ordered the rice cake, 80s bento box and takoyaki the food was good, but lacked some flavors the service was alright, would be nice if they checked up on us once in awhile. great place to hang out with friends and eat. overall i would come back here and try the other dish, i would recommend this restaurant for anyone craving some korean street food.
