"The Albert is Inman Park’s best neighborhood bar with a decent beer selection and a few TVs that are always playing a sporting event. It feels a bit like an old-timey pub with gothic silver lion heads embedded in the exposed brick wall and actual flames dancing inside bronze wall lanterns. The menu has typical bar bites like chicken wings, perfectly seared burgers, and specialty hot dogs that work well for game days or random Tuesday night dinners. The side room (for overflow) weirdly departs from the pub theme and enters bistro territory. Think faux marble tabletops and navy-and-white checkered chairs. That room is fine in a pinch, but if you can, stick to The Albert’s best side, which is undisputedly the bar. Food Rundown ATL Dog This hot dog, piled high with bean-heavy chili, tangy slaw, and splashes of mustard, is a mess to eat, but it’s worth it. It’s the best hot dog on the menu. photo credit: Juli Horsford New York Dog The housemade sauerkraut and brown mustard combine to give this dog a slightly spicy kick. It’s decent and has a buttery bun that we’d gladly eat plain, but it remains in second place to the ATL Dog. photo credit: Juli Horsford Fried Chicken Sandwich You get a thick piece of chicken encased in a nice crunchy fried breading. Make sure to get this tossed in hot sauce for an extra $1 because it’s a little bland without it. Classic Burger Yep, it’s a very classic burger with all the usual suspects: your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. You won’t write about this in your diary later, but it’s a reliable choice when a burger craving hits." - Juli Horsford
"Named after Albert Einstein, the godfather to owner Tia Landau’s dad, this proudly woman-owned restaurant in Inman Park offers a cozy place to eat and drink. Sit at the bar and stare at the carved lions looking on from the distressed brick walls, guardians of the building’s spirits (including those lining the bar shelves in bottles). You can’t miss the Albert Burger topped with pimento cheese, bacon, and pickled onions or the fried chicken sandwich upgraded with hot sauce and bleu cheese crumbles. With either of those, check out the mint paloma, a vibrant mix of Astral Tequila Blanco, grapefruit and lime juices, agave nectar, and fresh mint." - Steven Craig Lindsey
"A welcoming neighborhood spot in the heart of Inman Park, The Albert offers a menu of intriguing spirit-free cocktails, such as the NA Old Fashioned and Lyre’s Basil Gimlet, and plenty of choices with booze as well. Food ranges from burgers and sandwiches to salads and shareables, while brunch features bagels from Alon’s Bakery & Market, plus available add-ons like bacon and chicken sausage." - Denise K. James
"Every neighborhood needs a place where you can get good bar food, beer, and watch whatever game is on that you can’t find a way to illegally stream at home. In Inman Park, that’s The Albert. Their burgers are great and what they’re best known for, but they also have solid appetizers, like their pimento cheese with sausage and smoked nachos (for when you decide to stick around for the late game as well). They also carry 70-plus beers, along with a variety of wine and cocktails, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, you’ll be covered." - sarah bailey, nina reeder, jacinta howard
"This neighborhood bar in Inman Park serves up traditional pub food with a Southern twist, including wings, fried pickles, several burgers, and a fried pork chop sandwich. There’s plenty of beer and whiskey to wash it all down." - Beth McKibben
