The 38 Best Restaurants in Dublin, Ireland

"Open for: Breakfast and lunch Price range: $ A long-time hub for Dublin’s ethically minded, the Fumbally is part cafe, part food shop and deli, now with an even stronger focus on Irish-grown produce. House ferments, fresh-baked breads, and natural wines anchor a menu that shifts with the seasons — think, root veg stews in winter, fresh greens and lighter plates in summer. Imported essentials like citrus and ginger make the cut, but Irish ingredients take centre stage. Best for: A seasonal lunch at a communal table." - Corinna Hardgrave

Love this place! It has its own unique atmosphere, a great little market, healthy food, and friendly staff. They used to have dishes that suited my taste a bit more, especially the arancini plate, which was my favorite, but the menu has changed a bit lately. Still, there are plenty of delicious options, and the overall vibe keeps me coming back.

Google
Such a great spot, they have a bakery, plenty of communal seats, great food and a little shop with organic foods and Irish-made items like notebooks, soap, socks and more. Their gluten-free chocolate cake is amazing! They have vegan and dairy free options as well and service is great even on a busy day.

Google
Although this place is very popular and we received many recommendations for it, we were really disappointed. The egg toast was extremely small, yet it costs 12 euros. It’s definitely not enough to fill you up – more like a quick bite if you’ve already had breakfast. The chocolate cake, however, was really good.

Google
This restaurant champions organic, seasonal cuisine, which is a great concept. However, while the large space and fast-moving queue are positives, the food itself didn't quite live up to expectations. My egg was undercooked, the bread wasn't up to par (especially compared to Bread 41), the coffee was average. There's also a small organic market inside, which is a nice touch. While the idea behind the restaurant is commendable, the execution fell short.

Google
Lovely community cafe, with friendly staff. I had the delicious vegan porridge, and my family all had the eggs. I loved the porridge, and the others really enjoyed the eggs. Prices were on the high side for the size of the food, but it was a great experience and would definitely recommend. Some other vegan options would be good.

This review is about sustainability! Thank you for providing such a lovely atmosphere, such warm service, and also for making it possible to eat a delicious meal without creating any trash. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and it is comforting to find establishments in waterfront cities that are honoring the local ecosystem by serving meals with reusable dishware, silverware, and cup ware. I really appreciate the local foods you offer, and the Irish farm produce that you sell. Each aspect of the meal felt intentional, and rooted in place. I also really appreciate that you offer a discount to people who bring keep cups for their coffees to go. A great way to incentivize more sustainable behavior. I’ll definitely be back again, and will be sure to recommend! Thanks again for cultivating such an inviting space.

Google
Been here a few times and I love their flourless chocolate cake—it's delicious! Their focaccia is also really nice. The staff are friendly. The cafe can be a bit noisy due to its popularity, but despite that, it's a lovely spot.

Such an incredible spot. Coffee pastries everything is just so delicious and fresh. A must.

Yelp
Ambiance: relaxed, eclectic ambiance with students, business people, and others all enjoying the café Food: Had a good lentil soup with slice of excellent bread, only gripe relates to the lack of meat in the soup Service: Friendly, good service Value: decent value

Yelp
Super cool spot! I couldn't believe how good the premade sandwiches were! We got 1 meat and 1 veggie! The veggie was falafel and it was amazing, but the meat sandwich was unbelievable! It was kinda Christmasy themed with what seemed like turkey, stuffing and cranberry on sourdough! So yummmyyy!! It seemed like It's self serve for some foods but the others you can order? Not 100% sure but they were super nice in there!

Yelp
Local, fresh, FULL of flavor, friendly staff, cool vibe....YES! I can't wait to come back here to eat everything. Luckily I can because it's one block from where I'm staying. You MUST come here when in Dublin. Forget the tourist trap restaurants downtown, this is it. My partner had the special sandwich of the day, steak, and it was fresh and hearty. Not a heavy steak sandwich. I had the lentils of the day, which were Mexican and it was so full of flavor. Going to grab a pastry to go now and plan my next visit here!

Yelp
Delicious fresh vegetables and baked goods, great items to go and a wonderful, creative space to relax. friendly staff and excellent service

Yelp
The vibe of this place is unmatched. Stopped in with grand plans to get an arancini plate and a glass of wine to kill time until dinner - I ended up not loving the arancini special of the day - but think that I was happier with my pivot than I would have been with arancini. I ended up getting the sourdough toast w ricotta and honey - in my mind this was going to be one lame slice of [probably still pretty good] sourdough with toppings. NOPE. You get two giant slices of bomb sourdough and then a full vat of whipped ricotta with honey. Exceeded expectations. Wine was just ok (by the glass options limited, red was sweeter/lighter than I would have liked) but man that toast!
google avatar

Yelp
Great ambience. Very organic food vibe. I ordered the fumbally toast that's been there forever on the menu. It was something I'd make at home when I'm lazy. Nothing special.

Yelp
A lovely place with a great concept. Local produce and products sold in the shop and a small but varying menu in the cafe. We went here for a late lunch and I am afraid was quite disappointed. They had run out of most things when we arrived. How a cafe runs out of half the fishes in a 5-6 fish menu is beyond me, in any case, I chose one of the dishes they did have. It arrived luke warm and lacked any flavor. A chili lentil dish that was neither hot or spicy and lacked seasoning. I wanted a piece of carrot cake and by the time I got around to ordering they had run out of that too. The flourless chocolate cake was nice and I liked the taste but too dense for my liking. Coffee was way to sour for my liking and I left half of it behind. Maybe it was an off day but this place is not cheap and I expected more. The shop itself is lovely and they have some nice things but overpriced in my opinion. Staff were nice and friendly and the ambience made up for some of the disappointment. Will give it another go and see.

Yelp
this was my favorite brunch lunch ever. the farm fresh food is so cute and everything was delicious. the market of produce made the atmosphere so cozy and we loved coming here

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday morning- My only regret is that I didn't find this sooner while on holiday! It's a great space to have a meal and catch up on some work. I ordered the vegan toast and a side of eggs. This is not meant to be hyperbole: one of the best breakfasts I've had in a quite a long time. I almost ordered a second serving, but I didn't want to be a weirdo Patrons are advised that tables should be shared- Make a new friend!

Yelp
Lovedddd this place. Wanted to return but trying to experience a spread of restaurants while on holiday. Awesome atmosphere, cool art, and great food. I loved by beans and eggs dish -- tons of flavor and a generous portion, tasty sourdough bread underneath. Partner enjoyed a more simple egg and toast dish with tomatoes. We split the hot smoked ham which was delicious. A fantastic find we happened to stumble upon whole heading into Dublin city center. It was quite busy, a sign of a good spot. Stop by here if you're in the neighborhood -- you won't regret it!

Yelp
Always have a great experience in here. The coffee is amazing and the staff is always so quick to help and be so friendly to me. The pastries look delicious and the vibe in here is so great.

Yelp
Filter coffee! Delicious breakfasts, lots of vegetarian & vegan options, family friendly

Yelp
Delightfully delicious. Eaten here twice and both times were deeply satisfying. Also, they sell pain au chocolat that is a work of art. Had a pulled pork sandwich with miso mayo and a citrus slaw that made me smile; it was so good. Also had the green eggs and ham with such fresh ingredients and tasty meat. I would eat here anytime.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. The only problem was limiting myself to just one dish as everything looked so good. Espresso drinks excellent and I had the salads which were such a refreshing mix of roasted veggies, pickled veggies and herbs and fruits served with a delish piece of foccacia.
google avatar

Yelp
Pricey but they have dining in and grocery options that are really high quality. Dublin 8 liberties area, and a nice vibe/ good shop if you want to try to spend locally. Also, great pastries!

Grantland D.

Yelp
The food and the gorgeous setting both deserve 5 stars. The service though was Just odd. Nice servers, but an orange juice I ordered -- with our coffees (which can in 5 minutes) -- never came, even though I asked 3 different servers about it. And I got a cup of filter coffee, but no cream or milk. After I asked twice I finally got up and went in search of it myself. I would go back for the food and ambiance, but only with an expectation that it will take me an hour and a half to get stuff (or not!) that should take 45 minutes. Ah well...

Yelp
I'm a huge a fan of this hipster cafe. I thought it would be super pretentious, but the staff was really friendly and it has a cool vibe. It was quite busy mid-morning on a Friday. I had a cappuccino, toast, and a blackberry financier. Everything was delicious. Toast sounds boring, but the bread was amazing, and I loved the marmalade. The blackberry pastry complemented the cappuccino perfectly. If you are looking for breakfast and great coffee, you'll be happy you tried The Fumbally.

Yelp
Unwelcoming place with very nice food. The staff made me feel like I'd walked into their home uninvited, but the food was really good.

Yelp
My favorite place I visited in Dublin. I went around breakfast time and ordered The Fumbally eggs. De-lish!!! I've never thought to do bruschetta on a breakfast sandwich but it is genius. The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing. I wasted to stay here all day. If I lived in Dublin, I would definitely spend a lot of time here. If you get a chance, give The Fumbally a visit. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
As everyone knows I'm a HUGE foodie and my philosophy of finding good places to eat also applies when I travel. Sure I can have what's considered the traditional dishes of the region, but this and finding places where the locals *truly* eat can be at very different places. The Fumbally, with its communal tables, daily specials that span the globe in terms of dishes and its use of local and/or organic ingredients in its dishes screams out "hipster" and this sort of dining may not appeal to everyone (The No1DP would outright refuse to eat with me if asked). However I appreciate this approach to food and in this type of dining environment the people you'll find eating here are also people who have the same mindset aka the local foodies. The locals surely won't be eating their Irish breakfast or fish and chips every day, and despite Rick Steves' travel philosophy, you sure won't find this restaurant in any of his guidebooks. However I think I was the only non-local in this restaurant and a communal space is a great way to get people to talk. The even more hipster thing I did was to eat here during their weekly Wednesday dinner, which features a set menu based on a theme. For my week it was "Irish Summer", which boasted the seasonal vegetables from organic suppliers. Everyone orders from the same menu - only options are which courses to eat. I did a drink + main + dessert (and additional wine) for €34, a reasonable price (per locals) for a high-quality 2-course menu with drinks. This may be pricey for a night out for American tourist standards, but I got quite the experience that compete with any craic I can find at one of the Temple Bar pubs. DRINK: Sherry fino, Elmhurst apple + ginger bug (€7). I couldn't taste much of the sherry but I can taste the ginger and the faint taste of apple. It's a well-mixed cocktail that I can see being sipped by the poolside. The amuse bouche had a chili jam which perked up the appetite. MAIN: St Tola goats cheese, McNallys organic kale + Dunany spelt berry risotto with roasted McNallys summer squash with Fumbally cured Tamword lardo toast (€15). This isn't your typical risotto. It is a little chewier and the texture is similar to lentils. Turns out that it has a higher protein/fiber content than rice so I actually felt more full than just eating a veggie risotto with rice. The goat cheese worked here to make it more creamy, as did the squash. Kale added some crunchy topping. I chose the lardo over bruschetta as lard in this form is hardly served in the US. It's like a cold version of bacon and replacing the meat with the fat. Texture was a little meaty and it was hard to bite into it to fully separate the meat. Would work better being spreadable like leverpostej. DESSERT: chocolate mouse, earl grey crumb + organic Wicklow blueberries (€6). I am not a mousse person and this was some damn good mousse as it was more airy and less pudding-like. The bread crumb and blueberries certainly helped. I had a great time here eating great food with 2 couples, one younger and one older. They were very friendly Dubliners who were impressed that I could find a place like this. The way I found this is to use a combination of scouring through the blogs as well as a respectable local restaurant rating guide - in the case of Ireland, the McKennas' guides. If you can't afford or don't want to do Michelin-starred dining this is your next bet for good food in a region as there is no longer a Europe equivalent of Yelp. After eating here not only do I recommend eating here as a solid option, it's also a good opportunity to experience Dublin through the eyes of local foodies.

Yelp
I'm curious as to what inspired this premier and unique looking coffee shop! Upon entering this place, you wouldn't think they serve food or drinks. The decor all over the place make it seem like you're at an art exhibit combined with a local farmer's market and your own living room. Nothing matches, but everything about it looks comforting. As for their coffee, I ordered an expresso by accident, but the guy working there was cool enough to convert it into a cappuccino. And supposedly, they use a double shot in every coffee cup so you can really smell the flavor and savor the taste. I really enjoyed my cappuccino! That's another great thing about this place. You can see them create your coffee. It's like art! The kitchen area is also open, so you can see them prepare your sandwiches or plate. They even offer fresh fruits and delicious looking pastries for your coffee. You gotta check out my pics! Give Starbucks a rest and give these guys a try!

Yelp
Can I give this place like 10 stars??? Man oh man everything about this place was great. The ambiance has character, with some knicknaks placed all around, nicely organized seating with plenty of space. The food... omg the food was delightful ORDER THE - green eggs and ham - fumbally eggs Our meals all tasted very very very fresh with a blast of flavor with each bite... currently drooling just thinking about it. The kitchen is pretty open too so you can see them make your delightful meals. Coffee? They use a local roaster and that cappuccino was top notch. Service? I've never felt so welcomed in a place before' ! Thank you Fumbally I'll be back when I'm back in Dublin!

Yelp
The avocado toast is delicious! Everything looks fresh and tasty, although a simple menu.

Yelp
I like this cafe and its mix of eclectic furniture and books dotted around the place. The coffee is pretty good, you can choose from a variety of beans and there have yummy treats such as brownies and cakes. Something else that I like is that they bring your coffee to the table so once you have ordered it you can go sit down and relax.

Yelp
An oasis. The space is thoughtful crafted, upscale vintage, with a political theme. The staff members are friendly, helpful and clearly enjoy their jobs. The menu is short however the daily specials are incredible. I went to get some work done and could help but feel like i has found a true Dublin gem.

Yelp
My best friend and I visited the Fumbally at the recommendation of our Air Bnb host while visiting Dublin and he surely did not steer us wrong. After eating heavy (albeit delicious) foods throughout our entire vacation, the Fumbally was like finding water in a desert! It featured so many healthier, fresh options that still satisfied our cravings and didn't make us feel like we were eating bird seed, like so many other healthier food options do nowadays. Even though I am now back in the states, whenever someone mentions that they're planning a trip to Dublin, I tell them that they absolutely have to stop in at the Fumbally. I know I will next time I have the pleasure of visiting.
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
The Fumbally is incredible. They have a huge high ceiling airy space that is a really well decorated. The kitchen is open to view the staff was super friendly. There is plenty of seating for either a quick or a longer more relaxed stay. I only had the privilege of visiting once but I was absolutely blown away by the eggs they serve. They come with this incredibly rich cheese and garlic mixed in and some extremely rare non-plastic tomatoes to top it. Anyone who visits Dublin and doesn't stop here for breakfast at least once has made a grave mistake.

Yelp
First impression: we had been waiting in line for about 4 minutes, where the cashier was having small talk with another guest who already ordered/paid. Instead of acknowledging us to say "be right with you" or anything..he kept talking. So I thought that was a bit..well, not hospitable. Then another waiter saw us standing around awkwardly so he gave us 2 menus to look at. Food: as a vegetarian, the overnight oats porridge was AMAZING!!! Oh my gosh, so good. I would go back there just for that. The eggs looked good, but I don't eat eggs. However, my mom did ask them if they could make egg whites...to which they said no. I am not sure why..? They said it's because they are too busy but, we were the only people in line. My mom offered to break open the eggs for them (ha ha :*)) just as a joke but also kind of serious..but they said no, they're too busy for egg whites only. Hmmm? So that part kind of turned me off from the place, as this was the only place in Dublin that we had been to, that said no to making egg whites. So if you want an egg white only meal, look elsewhere. Other than that, the porridge is amaze balls and I would do that. The avocado toast was good - my mom did like that as well. Overall, cool place to go for oats but due to service, I am not sure I would go back. Coffee: was WAY too milky (latte) and I could only drink 2 sips of it.

Yelp
Just writing this review is giving me powerful cravings for the Fumbally eggs! My friends and I have come here on a few weekends and have always ordered exactly the same thing- those magical eggs. Scrambled, on toast with tomato and cheese. Incredibly simple, but incredibly satisfying. We would always make sure to eat slowly to make them last. The space itself is very charming- high ceilings and adorable decorations. I always make sure to take a look at the many ads and fliers for various events going on around Dublin. However, the focus is on the eggs. One question- why aren't they open on Sunday, A.K.A. brunch day???

Yelp
Really nice hipstery cafe. Great ambiance and cool vibe. I had lunch and and coffee ( with sunflower seed milk) and all was good. I feel i would come again for the cool/weird artistic anterior. it feels like the right place to relax over a cup of tea or a good meal on your own. The only drawback, staff are not very cool when it comes to changing or removing stuff from your order. My friend wanted a falafel wrap but she wanted it simple just the falafel and humus but they seemed annoyed that she doesnt want it filled with vegetables and whatever they stuff it with, and i was told they don't usually change things in their menu but they will do it for us only this time ;/ even though we didnt ask to change or add anything other than remove the things that my friend cant eat. Other than that lt was all good.

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for so long, and what can I say, except that it was worth the wait! This place is known as a hipster haven, so in case you think that doesn't appeal to you, can I add "in the best sense of the word." Charming decor, shared tables (whatever happened to a sense of community, amiright?), fresh food, friendly service and a great assortment of options for every palate, including for those with intolerances, allergies, a matter of personal conscience or what not. What's not to love? I opted for a chai latte, this was the good stuff, spiced to perfection and overall "just right". For food, I went with the toast with scrambled eggs, mixed with cheese and garlic, but just subtle enough not to be overbearing. My friend opted for a salad meal with an addition of falafel balls. The falafels were a highlight, rivalling even the middle Eastern restaurants about town. The accompanying hummus did not disappoint either, it was top notch stuff. We topped it off with a slice of gluten free chocolate cake which was also quite heavenly. This place doesn't need much more than to tell you how good the food is. Let it be known though that the ambience doesn't disappoint. This place is worth all the hype and then some.

Yelp
At least once per weekend, I must absolutely spend more time than usual sitting, relaxing and enjoying a good meal... it is a luxury appreciated by both body and mind. At the Fumbally, even in its busiest hours, there is a table I can share or a nook I can fit in, cradling a coffee. The food is fresh, fulfilling and wholesome. I am always amazed by the quantity of perfectly ripe avocado the cook can put on my plate. The price is relevant, the queuing expected, the plates vibrant and satisfying. It is hipstery, in a sense that you are expected to be patient, smiling and that you don't mind sharing your space. It has that communal-breakfast-at-your-auntie's vibe even, in a good way. Do expect a crowded but cosy ambiance.
google avatar

Celeste B.

Yelp
The ultimate "hipster" cafe with a farm to table feel and open space concept where you can see the chefs cooking your food from your table. Excellent unique combination of flavors and incredibly fresh food. An absolutely delicious breakfast: the Fumbally toast and avocado toast. Fumbally had toasted sourdough bread with scrambled eggs, garlic, white cheddar and a tomato basil salad tossed in dressing on top. The toast was not soggy and perfectly toasted. The avocado toast had beets, peppers and seeds on top the toasted bread. It was delicious!! I had a white iced coffee-- which has milk, slight amount of fig syrup and cold brew. Oh my god. So good!! There were many pastries on display for purchase. There is alcohol available for purchase as well!! Definitely recommend this to anyone in Dublin.

Yelp
Supercool, open-spaced, high-ceiling communal table and comfy chair in private alcove-style combo über-luminance transparent on-view cooking venue, it's all things to all comers, just the right-side of not being annoyed by the "in" crowd. Fare: Fresh, organic food, killer breakfast wraps, eggs, and lunch salads, great coffee and a range of calories and sweets to salve that sugar rush. Decor: Created with studied random abandon that's a right-down, weirdy beardy, bike-riding hipster attractor. Just what is needed in the Liberties, this joint is going to be very popular with the fashionable set, nearby office crowd, tourists, and locals, alike. In better times they'd search you at the door for an Apple Mac Book Air, and give you one it you were without, just so you fit in better. Now, BYOD and use the free wi-fi. Attire: Tuxedo top, jeans, Shoes with no socks. Think Monocle magazine and Tyler Brûlé. Unfortunately, there is a an element of attitude that doesn't suit everyone. Staff attitude: Barrista attitude was way "too cool for school" for my liking. I wondered what I had said to offend him. YMMV. Opens 8 AM -5 PM weekdays (generally). Comedy mornings and other events are held there too, and there can be special evening events and dinners, so watch out for noticies. This has to be balanced by the fact the place is closed when you least expect it, such as Patrick's weekend or other bank holidays. It seems unfair to the local community, tourists, and others who venture into the area at these times, who really deserve a better deal.

Yelp
What can be said that hasn't been said before?! This place is just the dog's b*#&#$&cks. Big, airy space, comfy seating, options to sit on your own or at communal tables, nice art on the walls, posters of community goings on, and general stuff to look at, as well as prime people watching. Then there's the food. It's really, really good. It's healthy, home made, colourful and good. My favourite thing is actually the simplest - avocado on rustic toast with fresh chilli, tomato & olive oil. So tasty. Really, really tasty. They have wifi too so it's a nice place to work from. Gold stars!

Yelp
When we showed up at 2pm on a Thursday, they proudly exclaimed they were closed and locked the door.

Yelp
Searched for homemade almond milk in Dublin to have a mocha on my one day to visit... Didn't expect such a trendy and packed place. Too bad I wasn't hungry as the food looks delicious (huge portions!). I did have a gluten free chocolate cake with fresh cream (super yummy) and a mocha. Sadly, they no longer have almond milk but rather homemade sunflower milk. I was happy to try it however it left me with a sunflower seed aftertaste which I'm not enjoying so much. I wouldn't get it again. Overall, I'd come back though my husband wasn't thrilled with it.

Yelp
I love the Fumbally so much. I went to the Fumbally every single day during my visit in January. Everyone at the Fumbally was so so nice, and lovely Ger always brought over my lattes which were so very good. I kept count of how many I had during the trip. A thousand, that's how many. On the last day, I sat down with one of the owners, Luca, for a quick chat about the Fumbally and life. You can read the interview on my blog (Valentina Duracinsky blog). It was amazing to hear the story behind the Fumbally and Luca's words made me fall in love with the place even more. There is so much love and hard work that go into that place! The food is fantastic. Pulled porchetta sandwich, avocado toast, both delicious. The desserts are to die for. I love the lemon poppy seed polenta cake. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
My second time coming to The Fumbally after hearing about it from a Japanese friend, I'm not disappointed! Came on a saturday both times and the place is jam packed with not a seat to spare, so most likely you will have to share a table. But the atmosphere is buzzing and the cafe itself is really bright, with wooden tables and rustic style decor. It's got kind of a hippy feel to it. The only thing that annoyed me was trying to find a seat at all, so had to wait a while until someone left. The food is mostly healthy stuff; their salad plates are vegetarian (similar to what you would find in other vegetarian restaurants such as Cornucopia), but they also do meat like pulled pork, steak etc. The soups are really nice and the servings are pretty generous too. I like their daily salads which cost 9 euro for a plate, and you add falafel for 1.50 euro, or a soup for 2.50. I haven't tried it, but I saw Korean kimchi and Korean stir-fry on the special boards which sound pretty interesting (and really spicy). Overall, the staff are quite friendly, the service is fast, the food is good and prices range from about 8-15 euro for main. A great place for brunch/ lunch! My one star deduction is for being super crowded and noisy, but you can get a takeout.

Yelp
Holy shit. Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. They're green eggs and ham are actually sublime. I need to take a moment to fully appreciate their deliciousness.. Ok, ok I'm back. Absolutely love this place, love the organic and mumble-jumble atmosphere and again, the delicious food. Very busy all the time, and not great for groups, however I couldn't recommend The Fumbally enough for a catch up with a friend or two.

Yelp
So pretty sure I had coffee at Hipster Central.. Visited The Fumbally located on Fumbally Lane (funnily enough) Dublin 8. You can check their food menu online but was only really interested in a quick coffee and pastry. Really good choice, their rasbperry cheesecake looked so good! I found it hard to choose but ended up choosing a pear popover (Another US import) and fiancé chose a really healthy flapjack... They give you a wooden block with a letter on it (like a toy you had as a child? and deliver your coffee to the table when it's ready. Yes that is a lost balloon in one of the photos :( You can also buy coffee here. Today wechose 3FE Ethiopia Kebel Kercha Guji. High ceilings, a complete mismatch of seats and the plates wouldn't look out of place in my nanna's cupboard. The cups on the otherhand are a total modern grey and tie in far better with the building. So yes it is full of hipsters but families were there too. They've a great contrast of old and new and that makes me think we'll be making the trip back there again. If for nothing else than to pick up more coffee beans to bring home!

Yelp
My favorite place to have breakfast in Dublin! All the food tastes so fresh and well prepared, seems like they really take great care in sourcing all of there ingredients. The staff is super friendly and welcoming especially if you are a confused American like myself. Honestly just a solid spot I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood back home! Get the Fumbally eggs with there delicious hot sauce, and the tomatoes that come on it so fresh and seasoned so well just amazing. Fuck I will miss this place when I return home!

Yelp
The Fumbally was my favorite place to go to when I studied abroad in Dublin. It was walking distance from my house so I loved to go for brunch but also to do school work since they had free wifi and plenty of seating. I came here my first weekend in Dublin with my dad since he was helping me move in. The Fumbally was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. From my first step inside, I loved the atmosphere and decor. The kitchen space is open concept so you can see the cooks prepare the food, cut the veggies, and there is also fresh produce all around the warehouse-like room. I love that the tables really range in sizes so you can either keep it intimate or share a table with strangers. It's a great conversation starter! The food itself was also very good, always fresh, and they had a great selection of vegetarian dishes. My favorite was the scrambled eggs on toast with avocado on top. Their coffee was also always on point. My favorite area is this couch next to a wall with a ton of frames and pictures: it's super cozy and feels homey. Next time I come back to Dublin, this will be my first stop and I can't wait to show this gem to whoever I am traveling with!

Yelp
I will not lie, I loved this place. I felt like if I was transported in one of those places I love in Berlin during my whole lunch and that was great. I love the ambiance of the place and for once, a cafe I like in Dublin is not tiny, even tho it was pretty crowded we found some place. The food we had was good, mine was delicious, and the all irish my boyfriend had was pretty good too, even if it was actually pretty small and he was still hungry after eating it, which I totally understand because yes, it was tiny. So here is the reason why I removed one star, I don't mind paying a little bit more to be in a nice place I like, but at least, I'd like to have my belly full while leaving the place. What I'm trying to say is that in my opinion, this place is a bit too expensive for what it serves. The food is really good and definitely fresh, but three more carrots wouldn't have been bad for the price we payed.

Yelp
This was the cutest and sweetest cafe to start the day. My husband and I are vacationing and looked up this cafe near our Airbnb. I had the toast with a side of scrambled eggs and my husband had The Fumbally eggs. Food was sooo good, portioned well and beyond expectation. The eggs were lightly scrambled with cheeses and garlic and the toast was on homemade bread with options for fresh jam, but butter and butter. Will absolutely be coming back before the end of our trip!!

Yelp
The Fumbally is a trendy place for people who want to be seen. Food is pan/deep fried mainly accompanied by plain tasting salads. I've eaten here twice and was disappointed. In particular I found the staff annoying. In my opinion they spend too much time flicking their hair, stroking their beards and dancing around. The place acts like it invented brunch. There are a thousand cafes in Dublin that do brunch, most better and without the attitude... For posers only. EDIT. I also agree with other reviews the coffee is bad. Bitter, greasy and cold.

Yelp
Just the best. A warm inviting place to take your time about your coffee, ultra fresh food or good conversation. Be warned these people care about there coffee! For me this is a huge plus but if your in the mood for a grab and go Starbucks... That said there isn't much alternative with in walking distance, so be nice. The carefully crafted atmosphere and menu are absolutely a cut above. I love what I ordered and I plan on working my way through the menu.

Yelp
Loved the open space, ample seating, and interesting things to stare at. This place reminded me a lot of ruin pubs in Budapest (of course much less chaos though)...or flea markets in Berlin. I ordered the eggs with sausage on toast - oh man. It was perfectly cooked eggs, and perfectly seasoned everything. Definitely recommend!! ...and of course...good coffee :) that makes this place five stars.

Yelp
Holy smokes. This place was recommended to us by the fellow we are staying with, and it was quite a treat. It's definitely a hipster joint. The food was amazing and all sorts of different flavors and things to try on the menu that you never would have thought to combine on your own. I had a carrot and nuts veggie burger, while my husband had a pork sandwich. Both were equally amazing. The place is packed and stocked with eclectic groupings of tables. They also have free tap water to grab, which is a huge bonus and difficult to find in Europe. Stop and see the Teeling Whiskey distillery tour, and then grab lunch--you won't regret it.
