I always find it cute when I order something, and the restaurant thinks that I am going to share by bringing extra plates and spoons. But on this day, in Temecula, my friend ordered one thing and I ordered a full-on pizza with dessert. No sharing (though, honestly, I probably should have).
Let's talk about the Goat's Garden pizza. It says it is a 14-inch pizza, and for some reason, I couldn't measure this in my mind, and out came this beautifully sliced pie. It has everything its menu described, "Roasted crimini mushrooms, goat cheese, marinated artichoke hearts, spinach, and a white ricotta cream," and it was delicious. I delightful told my friend that I was impressed with the fresh mushroom. The dough was perfect. Not too thick, not chewy, and because I saved the other half of the pizza for the next day, it was equally good.
And, for dessert, they only have 2 options on the menu (which is smart, especially if you want to highlight the food), so I went with the Sourdough Pudding. That was divine! I forgot to let the waitress know start the oven for my dessert (which she asked me to do, weird, right?), but she remembered on her own and out came this beautifully sweet dessert; I was in carb and sugar heaven. Again, the waitress thought I was sharing and brought out two spoons... that's cute.
Overall, the food was great and with great ambiance. Parking is tricky, so give yourself time, and it is busier on the weekends, so reservations are highly recommended.
