Elegant Edwardian restaurant featuring Michelin star service and locally-inspired dishes.
"If you like the sound of being treated like royalty, in a room that looks like the set from The Princess Diaries, then you should book afternoon tea at The Goring. Nothing makes us feel more fancy than a three-hour afternoon tea at this five-star hotel in Belgravia. You’ll get excellent versions of the typical fluffy scones and mini cakes, but you’re not really here for the food. You’re here to have your tea poured for you and your plate changed whenever a crumb gets too close to it. Typically, the idea of someone hovering over us and swooping in to check if everything’s OK every millisecond might be invasive, but at The Goring, we don’t even notice." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
"The Goring is a model of British style and understatement and its ground floor dining room the epitome of grace and decorum. It appeals to those who ‘like things done properly’ and is one of the few places in London for which everyone appears to dress up. The hotel has long enjoyed a reputation for serving classic British dishes like eggs Drumkilbo, but the kitchen makes judicious use of modern techniques and superb ingredients to produce dishes that display an impressive understanding of balance, flavour and texture. The restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment and will reopen in March 2024." - Michelin Inspector
"Before Victoria became synonymous with carbon dioxide emissions and chain sushi restaurants, it was associated with a certain level of affluence. Buckingham Palace is a diamond's throw from here, after all. The Goring hotel is a fitting throwback to this era, and so is its lovely dining room which serves modern takes on old-world British dishes like lobster omelette and Hereford beef short rib. You can expect all the trappings of a traditional fine dining joint—silver service, petits fours—and lunch is a good way to make the most of it. It’s a good shout for treating your parents or friends from out of town, especially when you factor in the Goring’s bar and excellent afternoon tea service." - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna
"The Goring Hotel’s Dining Room in Belgravia has one star." - Eater Staff
"The Goring doesn’t believe that beef wellington has maxed out its extra credentials, so it puts it on a trolley and wheels it around the dining room like a bovine totem, available to be shared between two." - James Hansen, Apoorva Sripathi
