This place is simply splendid! The atmosphere is the cutest! We got the breakfast croissant, the breakfast plate, and the biscuits and gravy. The portions are LARGE so most meals can be shared. The food is tasty and the drinks and menu have a lot of variety. Drinks are amazing! Our server was really sweet and offered some recommendations.

This place is stunning. You walk in and your table is already set up they give you your own pitcher for water and the place is so pretty. The food is stunning to look at and amazing to eat. I got the peaches and cream waffle and my friend got the BLT with avocado and she said it was the best BLT she’s had. Not to mention we got our food so quickly. Absolutely an amazing experience!

The entrance is on the side and there is a decent amount of parking in the back. Now that's out the way, let's talk about the biscuits that are the size of my head!! We ordered them as a starter to share, and our server brought four of the biggest biscuits I've ever been served to the table. They were served with some kind of jam, honey, and butter sprinkled with black salt. The three of us managed to eat only two before our actual meal. They were so good! The build your own deviled eggs is a cute concept and one I will borrow for my next brunch party. I would suggest they provide little tongs to help actually add the toppings on your egg. My next favorite things I ate that day was the sausage patties and fried potatoes. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu and cocktails!

Such a beautifully decorated little place! They nailed atmosphere for sure and their choice of dishes compliment the restaurant. Delicious cocktails and breakfast food! The burger was ok, but the breakfast food was better.

Stopped in for brunch this Easter. The restaurant is really pretty. Leslie was our server and recommended the food to try on the menu. The salmon dip was so good! I enjoyed my Cobb salad, husband ordered the Farmhouse Breakfast Platter. The “I’ve Been Drinking” drink was delicious! We will be back.

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. Super cute decor with strange music in the background . We got a table quickly for a Sunday morning. Shortly after we got seated, the booth in front of us filled in. Their server greeted them promptly and got coffee while we were still waiting for ours. Gabby was our server. I don’t know if she was having an off day or what. She took our order and brought us coffee and that was pretty much all the service we got. No warm ups on the coffee, asked a few times for hot sauce and by the time that arrived my husband was 75% through his breakfast. The pop tart was delicious! If you expect exceptional service don’t come here.

This restaurant has a beautiful interior. The waitress was very nice and patient with me. I really appreciate it that it is very loud in this restaurant. There are a lot of people in this restaurant. The food was made. The food was not extremely flavorful. The drinks were great overall I had a good experience. Parking is very difficult at this restaurant.

We stopped here for brunch for the first time. Did not realize they took reservations- so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were amazing - described all the dishes and drinks we were interested in and made sure they were exactly what we wanted. Ordered the Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit, and Biscuits and Gravy. All were incredible- the B & G was enough for a whole family. The drinks were amazing too - The Marigold is a new fave.

Yelp
WOW!!! This is hands down the best breakfast place in Louisville for me. We arrived as soon as they open (which 9am seems late for breakfast place but whatever). We were seated immediately and only waited a few minutes for our server. The place is sooo cute!! There's a variety on the menu and a decent amount of lunch options for a brunch place. We started with the poptart and oh my gosh!!! Incredible. The server said it was peach but it was definitely strawberry but that's okay because it was delicious. We ordered two of the biscuits to share and they were soo good. The hot honey chicken was my favorite but the breakfast biscuit was also super good. I was fully impressed.

Yelp
The House of Marigold is a hip and very Instgram-able restaurant. There are flower murals on the walls, colorful glasses, and an adorable bar area. We were able to get seated for four without a reservation and with no wait! However, it was a week day and they are probably super busy for weekend brunch. The servers were all very friendly and the food came out quickly. We even ended up getting lattes to go, too! We were there for their breakfast / lunch menu. There were a few different veggie options, which mostly included salads, sandwiches (but asking for no meat), or breakfast options like waffles. I had a croissant sandwich with egg and cheese and garlic aioli. I wish it had a little more pizzazz! Maybe some veggies or have the aioli be spicy or something extra. We also split the salad with strawberries, goat cheese, and candied pecans, and a lemon poppy dressing. I loved the dressing! It was on the sweet side but very light. My favorite part was the corn bread croutons. I've never had those before and while they weren't crunchy like regular croutons, they were really good. I think the salad could have also used more toppings! There was barely any goat cheese or nuts. I like salads to be really loaded up! But in general, Marigold's was really good. Everyone enjoyed their food, and it's a cute spot worth checking out.

Yelp
Nice presentation on all the dishes except the royale with cheese which was a misleading sorry looking burger. Cornbread was okay - Boston market's cornbread is 10x better. French toast - was french toast. Royale with cheese - was a very sorry looking/tasting burger. Felt like they cooked a frozen patty from Kroger. Hummus snack plate - was unique I'd recommend trying it. Nothing worth going out of the way to return for....

Yelp
I'm happy to finally get to The House of Marigold and support this local business. It is as beautiful as I'd heard and does offer space for various group sizes. My group of 5 had a reservation for 10a. We were told in advance the table has another reservation at 11:30a, which we both appreciated and stressed over a bit. I loved their drip coffee which is from Quills and enjoyed my breakfast of toast, eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. My table mates raved over their avocado toast and various appetizers. Service was friendly - and a bit slow. It was easy enough to flag down our server for drink refills but it would've been nicer to have more visits to the table. By the time we left the crowd and volume had picked up greatly. I now understand why people are having a different experience within their reviews. I'm so happy we went early because around noon it was necessary to shout across the table. They truly need to invest in something that can help with sound. Quick note their parking lot is small. Additional parking is in the back lot and needs more development. Be careful about parking in spaces in nearby lots as they have now put up signs about towing cars not visiting stores.

Yelp
What a beautiful place! We had a reservation for 2 l 9am, when they open on Saturdays and I was surprised how many cars rolled up a few Minutes before 9 for the same thing! We had a lovely booth at the front corner of the restaurant. Someone came by quickly and filled out water glasses. Our server was prompt and brought us good, hot coffee and helped me decide between three items! Everything sounded so good, I needed some help! I opted for the Marigold Biscuits and gravy with an over hard fried egg. And boy oh boy, was it delicious!! My friend had the avocado toast and it was beautiful!! We both asked for our eggs in the side and the food came out quickly and both eggs were on the side plates! Yay! The biscuits were dense and delicious and that sausage gravy was really good! That avocado toast was a work of art, as you can see in the pictures. The coffee was flavorful and our server kept us liquid and made sure we were enjoying our meals. Sadly, I've forgotten his name but the service was excellent. I'll very much be back and bringing someone for their first time too! It's a classy spot and since it was the same day as the Kentucky Derby, people were dressed extra special, but it's a nice place to dress a little more than a typical breakfast restaurant.

Yelp
Met a friend here for brunch around 10:15 today! She'd been here once, but it was my first visit. I'd heard good things and was wowed by the botanicals inspired decor, great lighting, and unique touches! We sat near the bar which we had that section to ourselves for most of our catch up visit! We had a sunny window with plants to one side and the bar to the other side of our table. The menu offerings all looked great! It was really hard to decide between breakfast items like chicken and waffle or a yummy peaches and cream waffle... or flavorful looking salads, sandwiches, etc as lunch. We ended up going with lunch and both ordered the chicken salad on croissant with a side of fresh fruit (grapes, pineapple, strawberries). I was thrilled that the chicken salad is nut free, a rarity, but meant I could have it (tree nut allergies, ugh). Most places you get a teaspoon or two of chicken salad but here it was piled onto a large flaky croissant with lettuce and thinly sliced tomato slices! I thought I'd only be able to eat half but it was so flavorful I finished it! The fruit was so so, a bit soggy for my liking. I added on a side of cheese grits just to try them. I think they must've been stone ground style, didn't taste very cheesy, and had some definite spice/kick which isn't my preference in grits. Some will love them I'm sure! Just not me. We saw many fabulous looking cocktails on the Menu and being brought out to tables. Also frozen champagne slushes at the bar that looked so delish! We stuck with water today but will definitely return to try breakfast food and other beverages. Many coffee selections as well! Many have noted an overly loud environment. We actually liked that the music was loud enough to hear yet not blaring or disruptive and while we could hear some chatter from tables in the main dining area, nothing disruptive. Again though, it is a weekday, and we had a quieter table near the bar with no one in our section until we were paying to leave. If you're a Hilton Rewards Card member, join the Hilton Dining Rewards too! I earned over 100 points for dining here, paying with my card, and putting a simple review on the dining reward site! In this economy, every perk counts! Work smarter not harder, right?!

Yelp
Went to the establishment for brunch. Called ahead to get on the list. When we arrived, our table was not available. It was just two in my party on the list the waitlist. The host staff was not very accompanying or informative; it was very loud and hard to hear the host. I would recommend to anyone who visits this establishment to make an actual reservation. Very disappointed. Unfortunate experience. Did not even get inside the restaurant there were other people walking in at least 15 people got a table. we decided to leave after waiting 45 minutes. We received a text message an hour and a half after getting on the waitlist that there was a table for two people. Limited parking in private lot

Yelp
My friends and I visited The House of Marigold before going to Thurby this year. I love the fact that you can make reservations and don't have to worry about waiting for a table. The space is beautiful and the service was fine. The menu had a lot of great options and I had trouble choosing. I landed on the farm breakfast with over medium eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a croissant. The bacon was super good - very thick and crispy. The eggs were prepared well and they were fine, but the potatoes were not great. Not only were they cold, but they tasted like they were prepared beforehand and half way reheated. They just had that dry texture and the outside texture was tough. I was disappointed. My friends had similar opinions of their food. It wasn't BAD, but given the hype I definitely expected better.

Yelp
Super place for excellent cold brew, egg salad, biscuits or cornbread. LOVE this place! Warning ....very loud accoustically and usually very crowded!

Yelp
The House of Marigold was such a great brunch treat! I had been wanting to check out House of Marigold for a while now, and what better time to try this pink-hued morning delight than on "Barbenheimer" weekend?!? (Will we remember "Barbenheimer" years from now by the way? Will this make much sense then? I sure do hope so!) Anyway, I met a group of friends here to enjoy brunch before seeing "Barbie". And I was immediately taken in by the ambiance that extends from the bright decor to the menu offerings to the charming glassware. And on to the menu, I have to start by saying THOSE BISCUITS! I will be getting those EACH TIME I visit. They were large and fluffy and that whipped butter, honey and preserves ... easily my favorite thing on the menu. I also got the brioche French toast, which was perfectly cooked, fluffy on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside. And I tried a bite of my friend's avocado toast. If you like avocado, get this toast! It has more avocado on it than I've seen anywhere else for avocado toast. Our waitress kept the drinks coming. She was attentive and gave great recommendations. House of Marigold is a delight! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The ambiance is beautiful, the service is great and the food was delicious! This might be my new favorite place. You've probably already seen the pictures of the location. It is well decorated and creates a great ambiance for any kind of get together. I went by myself and sat at the bar. The bartender/servers were very nice and helped to recommend food and drink options. I have to go back to try more. For this trip, I had the shrimp and grits ($26), grapefruit mimosa ($6) and the shady pines ($11) to drink. The shrimp and grits were very good and a tad spicy, loved it! The drinks were also beautifully created and very good as well. I was told the pad Thai with chicken is good too. I'll definitely be back to check out more.

Yelp
This little spot is beautiful. Just walking in the restaurant, I felt the vibe. From the hostess to our server, everyone was very nice and accommodating. Our food was delicious. Someone at our table ordered the cornbread and it came with some honey to drizzle over it... I also got a French toast. Literally the best French toast ever. The entire experience was very pleasant. I definitely will return.

Yelp
Came here with a group of friends and was somewhat disappointed. I'll start with the positives - beautiful interior with lots of instagrammable content. Food was pretty good! Now for the neutral / negatives - service was average. Had to try a few times to flag down waitress to refill the water carafe on our table. Also my bill was incorrect the first time around and had to have her change it. She was also coughing from the moment she greeted us which grossed me out... we may not be in a pandemic anymore, but it's never acceptable for sick employees to show up to work in food service. Menu is pretty limited and overpriced for what it is. The deviled egg platter is cute but you're getting 6 deviled egg halves (aka 3 eggs) and small amounts of toppings for $12... just couldn't justify it, so I ordered a La carte. Wouldn't come back personally.

Yelp
I was looking for a Black owned spot to visit while in Louisville and The House of Marigold was recommended. So glad I checked it out. First of all, let's talk about how nice the space is. Everything was thoughtfully done. Now let's get into the food. I had the biscuits and gravy and oh my. The biscuits were huge and fluffy and the gravy was nice and peppery. Let's not forget the staff....very helpful and nice. I highly recommend

Yelp
My wife and I went to this restaurant Saturday after reading about it in a couple of articles about the great food served. We were underwhelmed by both the food and the service, particularly give the price. We did not go until after 2 pm so we decided to order more lunch than breakfast items. In fairness to the restaurant, the breakfast food may be much better. My wife ordered their veggie sandwich and I had their version of the BLT. For both items, the sandwiches served were very light on ingredients. My BLT only how a couple of slices of bacon (picture included). My sandwich was also not made properly and had to be redone. My wife's sandwich was mostly bread. Our service was also very poor. It took some time for her to get to us and seemed to have no knowledge of the menu. Once she too the order, we never saw her again until til after the food was delivered. We could not get drink refills until I another server. When I pointed out the sandwich as wrong, she asked me what she wanted me to do about it. I had to ask her to get the kitchen to fix it. The correct sandwich was delivered by the owner or manager. We never saw her again until the food was done and then she seemed only interested in giving us the bill. Overall the place is not worth it for the price of the items. My wife ordered tea and only go one tea bag that cost $4.50. Between the service, portions and price, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
My sister & I chose to go here on a whim. We were casually dressed & didn't know what to expect. We went around 10am. We were seated right away which was nice. The inside is so cute. We loved it. Our service was very slow. We didn't get any water or checked on for 10 minutes maybe even a little longer. They were busy but not that busy. That was a little annoying but we gladly moved on. The food was really good. We both loved the build your own deviled eggs. It comes with six. With toppings to add on your own.We especially loved the tomato chow chow on them. Which surprised us. We would get them again. I got the avocado toast. I jokingly said I'm eating Violets lunch (our other sisters rabbit) LoL BUT it was actually really good. The avocado mash was perfect. The egg was perfect. I picked off a few of the extra toppings but overall it had a great fresh flavor. I did pick off the grapefruit but it was fresh so I assume was really good as well. My sister got the Biscuit breakfast & absolutely loved it. She would recommend it every time. Overall we enjoyed our time & the food we ate. We recommend & have a few we want to take back. They looked like they had some awesome cocktails.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I went here for my birthday! We had a party of eight and service was spot on! The server made me feel awfully special for my birthday playing photographer and server at the same time! We ordered every appetizer and every one of them was delicious. I loved the biscuits and the house made pita chips. The hummus was fresh...oh and I could've ate all of the deviled eggs all by myself! My waffle was light and fluffy. I loved the basil in my mocktail. The scenery was beautiful and the ambiance felt like we were royalty. Everyone in my party will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been dying to check this place out for a while now, and with out-of-town guests here it finally made sense. It was the cutest little spot, especially during the holiday season. They had cute seasonal cocktails and mimosas, the decor was lovely, and the food was incredible. We got the "I'm a Barbie girl" shots and then also enjoyed the Grinch-Mosa. One of my friends got the popsicle mimosa with a homemade blood orange popsicle. The food was normal breakfast food, but it was all cooked just right. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and helped us pick great drinks! I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I am convinced this is the best breakfast and brunch spot in Louisville. Probably in Kentucky. Omgosh! I don't even know where to start. First being don't let the feminine or girly decor fool you. This is definitely a place you can bring the family or a significant other. Next the menu! So many options for both breakfast and lunch. And it's so well priced. Not one of those trendy lunch spots that's highly overpriced. I'm not sure how the other reviewers are claiming it is overpriced, unless they are comparing to Dennys or IHOP lol then yeah I guess. However, HOM is certainly less expensive than most of the local breakfast spots. And the servings are HUGE!! I am not exaggerating. Two people could share an entree but was so tasty you won't want to share. I ordered the biscuit and gravy and took home more than half. It was delicious and very flavorful. I also got the home fries and they were pretty good too. My friend ordered the breakfast and croissant and it also was huge. We also got the biscuits appetizer and it could honestly feed 6-8. The whipped butter was devine! There were plenty of vegetarian options but not many vegan. The drink and cocktail menu also offers a large variety of options. I ordered the brunch 75 (like a French 75) and it was fabulous. To be honest I only ordered one cause I felt I would be a bit too tipsy to drive. My friend ordered the bad and bougie and she also said it had a great pour. They even have brunch shots! The decor is adorable and inviting. I enjoyed the ambiance. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but tolerable. I suggest making a reservation but seems to open up a bit in the later afternoon. The service was good too. I believe our server was named Ashley and she was bubbly and fun. She explained the menu. This restaurant has everything and everyone should run there!!

Yelp
Ambiance - what hooked me when i saw online. It's so cute for brunch or a date i mean, everything is literally in rose gold and they got the cute lights hanging Menu - again super cute and i like the names of their drinks. Typivally brunch food think mix of first watch and biscuit belly since they do savory, salty, and sweet choices Food - roasted cauliflower snack plate was what i wanted and it mostly delivered. My suggestion would be to eat everything together being the pita, veggies, pickled onions/radish and hummus because the veggies (cauliflower and broccoli) were tasteless. I wish these were a bit seasoned even or wonder how amazing it'd be roasted. The hummus and pickled onions especially were the star here. The veggie omelete was quite soggy probably because of the tomato, onion and mushroom combo but this also needed seasoning. We doussed it in hot sauce for some flavor. The fries were nicely done though I would come here again with my girlies more for the cute environment and to maybe try some other dishes out.

Yelp
The House of Marigold is getting one star because it is a beautiful atmosphere. I can't even rate the food because we never got to order. As a matter of fact, we never got anything besides sitting down for 15 minutes with nothing. It wasn't even busy. My mind is blown. Atmosphere is gorgeous. From the floral murals to the pristine place settings, fresh flowers, gorgeous glassware you are excited just walking in. The sunlight comes in and you can't help appreciate the beauty; but, it stops there!!!! I've never went to a place and had that horrible of service or lack there of. Here's a suggestion, use the money you spent on the ambiance and the little details for more staff (there were two hostesses and plenty of kitchen staff from what we saw. Even one who we could see eating while we waited to be seated). To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. After we sat there for 15 minutes we literally got up and walked out. We then drove to Wild Eggs who had us fresh coffee and orange juice less than 7 minutes after we walked in the door. If you wanna look pretty and say you ate at The House of Marigold go for it. I won't... when I come to eat I want to eat.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 stars. Great place, but they have a few opportunities. Sunday lunch, we arrived @1:30PM. Quoted a 30 min wait. Went to the bar to get drinks for our group. Waited a solid 20 minutes before a bartender spoke to us. Once we received drinks, I noticed the Prosecco on tap was flat. The spicy bloody Mary's were good, but heavy on the pickle brine. Kept checking the wait list and kept confirming that we were still there and waiting. Seated 40 minutes after arrival. They said I hadn't been responding, but I had, so their waitlist system is messed up. Why not let people make reservations and skip all of this waiting around. They need at least 3 bartenders instead of two because the wait was crazy. The ladies rest room was fine (2 stalls), but, please Lord, get rid of the soiled area rug by the sink - eeeek! On the positive side, all of the staff The House of Marigold were nice and helpful, once you got their attention. The cornbread and deviled eggs were amazing! My beet salad with added chicken was good--really would not have been satisfying without an added protein however. Husbands fried chicken sandwich was bland. Homemade potato chips were ok, but lacked seasoning. BLT's were good. Lastly, it was very very LOUD in the restaurant. They need some sound buffers to make it easier to hear.

Yelp
It's about time that Louisville, once again, has a pickled plate (R I P The Grales). The House of Marigold did NOT disappoint! The mocktail AND cocktail list was Fire. Trent, bartender extraordinaire, is able to make all libations into a mocktail or cocktail. Inclusive for sober folk! Happy to see this small business spread its wings into their latest journey, a restaurant!
google avatar

Yelp
Just wow! What a beautifully decorated happy space! And the food did not disappoint! We had the farmhouse breakfast platter with house made sausage. So good! The biscuits and sausage gravy are to die for. Best I've ever had TBH. Lots of fun cocktails to choose from as well. What a great addition to the Middletown area!

Yelp
Service was great, food was good and the decor was amazing! Really loved the ambiance and bar was super cute! I want to go back and try the drinks! Bring a coat because it was really cold in there. Price of food was a little more expensive than I think it should be but it was tasty nonetheless.

Yelp
I was getting some serious FOMO watching everyones stories and seeing posts in IG about this place and knew I had to try. I visited The House if Marigold during the week as it is still new and I didn't want to get in with the weekend rush. Of course there wasn't a ton of people there early in the morning which was great! I was able to get seated right away at a high top table by the bar. I must say the decor is super cute. If you are looking for a girly, chic brunch with the girls this is the place for you. I did not have to wait long before the waiter arrived to give us a cocktail menu and food menu. For my beverages I selected the smaller version of the mimosa trio Which is about 2-3 oz of champagne mixed with your selected juice. They are putting high emphasis on their drinks as being curated drinks or hand crafted which is a nice touch. I ordered the breakfast biscuit with the the meat with an extra egg (substituted at no charge) and skillet potatoes. It did not take long for the order to arrive and it was fresh and piping hot. All the flavors together tasted so good. And the biscuit was made perfectly. I was going to try a slice of cake which is outsourced from a local bakery but forgot to add it to my order. I highly recommend this spot! Definitely worth the try. I can't wait to go back and try other items like this honey cornbread and the lemon ricotta waffles.

Yelp
Well... the food was pricey and disappointing. My whole heart hurts. It was crazy busy when we arrived. Lots of derby folks here for brunch so it was very very very loud (there's nothing to absorb sound with the industrial look. Now I'm going to come back and I'm so certain that it will be better than today- I'm sure being SLAMMED on a random Tuesday (due to derby) did this beautifully appointed place no service. So I'll be back... I don't want to discuss specific details cause it's a off day... but leaving hungry and the bill is nearly $80.... So will wait and try again in the future ‍

Yelp
I thought I would like this place, but to my surprise, I LOVED this place!! I have been stalking their social media and seeing what others have been saying about it, but of course, I had to find out for myself! The decor and style inside is so cute, but what is even better, is the food was amazing! There is a breakfast and lunch menu, along with a cocktail menu. There were plenty of leftovers after we had finished. Whether you're with family, friends, husbands/wives or just having a gal pal brunch, there's something for everyone! The staff were incredibly nice and very on top of everything.

Yelp
The place was really nice. The lighting and sun shining through the windows while being seated next to plants was a great vibe. The food was delicious. My table ordered three different things and they were all very delicious. The portion sizes was great. I hate that I don't remember our servers name but she was exceptional. She provided a friendly approach and was so helpful!

Yelp
Decent spot for brunch/lunch. Very cute on the inside with welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast meals with potatoes ~$14-$17.

Yelp
This restaurant just opened March 23, 2023 and I can already tell it will be a new city favorite! The updates to the exterior and the inside decor is giving good vibes and a good time. There is so much to choose from on the menu from breakfast, lunch, and brunch- you will find something that will appease your appetite. I went on a Saturday morning and recommend getting a reservation days in advance. Shortly after we arrived, the restaurant filled up. Let's talk service. Very friendly and professional staff. They were extremely attentive and timely. I have zero complaints and only positive things to say about the staff. The owner also came by to check on us which was appreciated. The food was AMAZING! I LOVE deviled eggs and the build your own deviled eggs shareable hit the spot. I only got the honey butter spread which was delicious and had the cutest utensil to spread the honey. It was warm, sweet, and filling. For my meal, I had the lemon ricotta waffles. It was also just as good! I somehow forgot to use the syrup which I'm sure would have taken it to the next level. I had the cutest drink to accompany it- the Pop the Prosecco which had the most delicious popsicle. Overall, a nice restaurant to add to the Louisville local food scene. I will definitely be back. This is perfect for the solo outing, girls brunch, or even date night. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Driving through Kentucky while on a vacation. Saw this gem on Google and from the photos, I knew I had to go! Came by around 2pm and everything was great! The food, service and ambiance were a 10/10! I loved the morning rose latte and peaches & cream waffle. Service was quick and staff was so friendly. Portions are huge and well priced for the servings. Definitely need to come here again if I'm ever back in KY!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The cornbread was the perfect appetizer to split with friends. I highly recommend the cocotini too! I highly recommend getting a few different things to share with the group. Our waitress was awesome despite it being a busy weekend brunch crowd.

Yelp
I visited this location on a Friday around 1pm. It was pretty busy. However, no wait time for my friend & I to be seated. It is very loud. I read the reviews before going. However, I did not understand how loud until I was actually there. Since they closed at 3pm, by 2pm it had gotten pretty calm. The place is absolutely beautiful! The service was okay. I have mixed reviews about the food and drinks. I ordered the lemon ricotta waffles - only comes with one. It was a regular waffle for $12 with lemon curd at the bottom of the plate and whipped ricotta on top. I personally was not a fan of either of them. I took both off the waffle. I shoulda asked for my bacon to be cooked well done. I feel like half of it was still oinking. My drink was a good different than what I usually get. I would definitely come back and try the honey cornbread everyone raves about!

Yelp
The House of Marigold is amazing!! The food was great, we ate everything on the plate. The cocktails were strong. We even tried the chambong, and it was fun. The service was great, so attentive and gracious. The owner was going from table to table, interacting with the customers. It's a cute brunch experience

Yelp
What a cute brunch place! For my friend's baby shower, we decided to try a new place and called ahead around 10, and then they sent us a text that they could seat us at 11. The honey cornbread was so good, like a dessert. Very sweet! And I got the biscuit with an over easy egg and bacon. The menu was very limited however and a couple of friends got the Avocado toast which looked pretty but had a lot of avocado slopped on. The whole place is floral and had a Vespa in the back you could take a pic with. Overall, I would definitely come back here and try something different. The hostess even got all the angles and pics for us by the front the place!

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere. It was a bit noisy. Tables are very close. It's a very nice place small gathering. The Fast friendly service. The food was good. I would recommend and will most likely dine again.

Yelp
What a beautiful place! Something about it just feels special! I met a couple of friends for breakfast on a weekday morning. We had no wait but it definitely started to get a little crowded as we were finishing. I had the hummus plate which I really liked. It wasn't exactly as described in the menu but I still liked it. My friends had the garden scramble which they enjoyed. Our server was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Seriously? Could a restaurant get any cuter? The building itself was such a fun, adorable experience for a girls brunch. But I wouldn't limit it to just those who identify as females; I think anyone would enjoy a visit here. The cocktail selection for brunch was awesome, offering a little some thing for everyone. They also offered a selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch type items with a balance of sweet and savory. I got the breakfast biscuit because you can't go wrong with that, but everyone had only great things to say about their choices as well! Overall a great experience. Every staff member we engaged with was warm and hospitable. I'm looking forward to coming back to try their lunch or dinner menu!!

Yelp
Yesterday I went to brunch here during peak times. I was so excited to visit this place! A coworker suggested it and it wasn't far from my house so I wanted to give it a try. I think the host staff is great. They are friendly and available. We got seated in 30 min. However, I hated how there was no standing room and if you wait outside, you are in the hot sun. No shade in site. The place is really small so both of those hiccups make sense. When we were sat the first thing I notice is how tiny the tables are. It's basically impractical. I get this place is going for a vibe and aesthetic but larger tables isn't going to ruin that. If the portions were smaller it wouldn't be an issue and the wait staff was constantly asking if we wanted drinks but where would we have put them? Speaking of that, our wait staff was super pushy. Trying to get us to to order drinks when we already declined. They wanted to take the salmon dip away when we weren't even finished. I did not appreciate the pace. Besides the ambiance, the food is very good. The salmon dip is divine and beautifully plated. I got the pad Thai and it was good. Be warned it is super spicy! So if you are sensitive to that, I would not order it. Overall, I would come back but hope to be sat at a larger table. The pad thai was almost in my lap. Might try in the fall when I won't have to stand in the hot sun.

Yelp
second time visiting and it's good. the vibes are spectacular, and it seems that's what you're paying for. i had a breakfast croissant and it was good. my friend had the breakfast scramble and she was pleased. we had drip coffee and deviled eggs (super fun!) to split, and i had an additional latte, which was okay. the first time i visited (close to opening day AND a sunday brunch time), the service was severely lacking, so this time around our service was outstanding (also went on a weekday around 10a). you won't regret visiting here because it's simply just so fun, but the food is likely not what you'll remember it by.

Yelp
Pretty decor. Very IG-able.... well patronized on a Friday late morning. Parking is adequate, situated behind the stand-alone building. I almost missed it as I wasn't expecting a pretty house, was expecting it to be a strip mall. Upon entering, was seated at the bar. attended to by server very promptly. Bright smile and cheery, she brought my coffee. It was rather weak but ok. Ordered my favorite shrimp & grits. Not cheap at $26, smaller portion but filling. had asked for pepper and salt and THANK GAWD I tasted before throwing salt. The sauce was a rather salty without my help. Overall a pleasant experience, would come again, would try something else next.

Yelp
We had brunch at The House of Marigold for our 5-year wedding anniversary. We arrived around 8:45 on a Sunday morning, so there wasn't a wait. The atmosphere/vibe was super cute and would be perfect for a bridal shower or birthday gathering. Our server was great and the food was good, but the portion sizes were small compared to our normal breakfast spot. We plan to give it another try sometime soon.

Yelp
In general I enjoyed my time at this business except for the seat at the bar. I had on a pair of leggings so anytime I moved it felt as if I was falling off my seat. We did opt for bar seating since there was a wait for a table. Wish we had known before we ordered to SPLIT what we had. We both ordered biscuits and gravy for our meal. The biscuit is LARGE, fluffy and flavorful. I didn't finish 1/2 of a biscuit. I do wish they had given more gravy- some the biscuits are big there isn't a lot of extra. The gravy was ok. Our server was really good and took great care of us.

Yelp
The House of Marigold is the best new addition to Middletown! Our party of 5 dined here only a week after it opened and enjoyed our experience. It is locally owned and you can tell it is going to be one of the top lunch/brunch spots in Louisville. We loved the ambiance and the food was delicious. I particularly loved the hummus plate with the crispy pita bread and pickled vegetables. Others in my party raved about their BLT sandwiches and the beet salad. The menu has classic options with a twist which makes it not your average brunch spot. We didn't have time to try the cocktails but when I go back I will definitely be trying one of those.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday early morning and got seated pretty quickly. I loved the Wes Anderson vibe of the place, it's very pretty. Service was great too, our server by the bar was very attentive. We loved what we ordered and the servings were big! We would come back again and try their other selections.

Yelp
I came to The House of Marigold for brunch on a Sunday morning and had an excellent meal! My friend had made a reservation ahead of time which we were glad for since it was packed. The decor and ambiance are light make it such a beautiful space. My two friends split the Build Your Own Deviled Eggs and loved them - even though I didn't eat any, the presentation was gorgeous! I got The Breakfast Biscuit with no meat (biscuit with fried farm egg, white cheddar, and peppercorn garden aioli served with skillet potatoes). Everything was delicious! One of my friends also got the Breakfast Biscuit but subbed cheese grits for the skillet potatoes, and those grits were very well seasoned and super yummy. Definitely recommend The House of Marigold as a cute, delicious brunch spot!

Yelp
The aesthetics is absolutely beautiful. The house of Marigold gave the feeling of sunshine in a beautiful garden. For starters we tried the honey Cornbread and the salmon dip. The honey Cornbread tasted like a piece of cake. The honey Cornbread was paired with Beeing2gether's local honey. The Cornbread was delicious and the honey was delicious. Paired together it was mouthwatering. The salmon dip was a savory delectable surprise. The dip was really good but the bagels were tough not crispy. We couldn't bite through or tear the bagels. I eventually ended up forgoing the bagels and just eating the salmon dip with the onions by itself. The breakfast croissant didn't come with meat but I was able to add bacon. I liked that I was able to have my egg cooked any way I wanted. I opted for scrambled. The sandwich and the potatoes were really good. The arugula salad was not a salad just a pile of arugula. The drinks are just as good as the food. Will definitely be returning.
