The Best New Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This nontraditional steakhouse joined the Freret Street restaurant boom in fall 2024, opening in the space briefly home to Acropolis and, before that, Wayfare. It’s from the owners and chef of Pigeon and Whale, an upscale, New England-centric seafood restaurant across the street. The Husky emphasizes atmosphere and design — it’s a grand, extravagantly decorated space with old-money mountain lodge vibes, sure to be a hit with the bachelor party set. The food, much like at Pigeon and Whale, is focused on high-quality ingredients and an air of luxury — dishes like beef Wellington, steak tartare, roasted bone marrow with escargot, and shrimp radiatori." - Clair Lorell

The Best Steakhouses in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Dramatic and sophisticated with a hint of a luxury ski lodge aesthetic, the Husky is New Orleans’s newest nontraditional steakhouse. It follows up Pigeon and Whale, a successful across-the-street sister restaurant focusing on seafood that opened in 2023. After starters like steak tartare, roasted bone marrow with escargot, and crudo, choose from a petite filet, eight-ounce filet, NY strip, or ribeye, or throw it back with one rarely-found, glorious menu item: beef Wellington." - Eater Staff

The vibes of this place are immaculate. It’s so beautifully decorated, I couldn’t stop looking around during dinner. We went for the $20 burger happy hour. Honestly a steal. The fries and old fashioned were worth it alone. We ended up getting another drink and sharing an appetizer and dessert. The food was so tasty and unique. Please, please, even if you don’t have to go, check out the bathrooms. We love a good themed bathroom and The Husky has some of the most beautiful bathrooms in all of New Orleans. I’ll be back to try other menu items for sure!

We had a great experience here. Our waiter Chris, was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Happy hour was a great bargain with top quality drinks. I recommend whiskey over gin “personal preference”. The grilled salad and fried mushrooms are a perfect appetizer’s. We also tried the French onion soup which was top notch. The tomahawk pork panee was incredible, not a crumb was left. We finished with a house ice cream topped with homemade brownie and pretzels! After enjoying all of this no part of me felt over stuff like most restaurants. Highly recommend.

My experience at The Husky restaurant in New Orleans was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly. Nellie, our server, was an absolute gem. She was attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our dining experience with her excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious. We started off with the Endive and Apple Salad, which was fresh and flavorful. For our mains, we had the Beef Wellington and Ribeye, both of which were cooked to perfection. The whipped potatoes and spinach sides were the perfect accompaniments to our meal. For dessert, we indulged in the decadent chocolate cake which was the perfect end to our meal. The cocktails were also top-notch - the Manhattan, Old Fashioned, and Espresso Martini were expertly crafted and delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was elevated and masculine, with a cozy ski lodge vibe. It was the perfect setting for a special dinner. Overall, I cannot recommend The Husky highly enough. The quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the inviting atmosphere all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon.

Google
The food was good, but I wasn’t completely impressed with it. Service was OK but I wish she was able to be more solution oriented. I rated the atmosphere 3 stars because for several reasons. they didn’t have purse hooks or small tables for us to place our purses. They suggested that I use the hook across from me at the booth which was odd. It’s way too far from me and the booth ended up being used. Spacing was tight in there, we were pretty cramped in there and several times during my meal I had to move for someone to pass behind me. I was already sitting forward in the seat because my purse had to be in the chair with me. Very uncomfortable. The tables also were a little small, it got crowded on it quickly. The food was OK, but it didnt knock my socks off. It was a little dark in there too kind of need a table lamps or something, myself and several other people throughout the night we’re having to use your flashlights to see the menu, what was plated in front of us, and the check. Might be a one and done for me, or I’ll come during their happy hour!

Google
Stopped in for happy hour drinks and apps before going for dinner somewhere else. Vibes in this place are immaculate. Our server, Christopher was fantastic. He even instructed us where to find a secret bathroom where you do a shot of bourbon and keep the shot glass as a souvenir! We got a couple espresso bourbon martinis, which were great. Ordered the pistachio crusted lamb lollipops, bone marrow and fried mushroom oysters. The lamb was un freaking real. Bone marrow with escargot was equally impressive and the fried mushroom oysters were delicious. Perhaps we should have just had our entire dinner here. Don’t sleep on this place!

Google
Quite literally some of the most delicious food I’ve had in New Orleans. The tartar and burrata are must have appetizers. The differing levels of martini dirtiness were fantastic listed on the menu. Our server was excellent and the perfect amount of attentive. He actually gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday when we didn’t want a dessert due to being too stuffed. The Wellington was delicious but the star was the bison short rib on sweet potato risotto. The vibe of the restaurant is perfect for a special night out

Google
This restaurant is great for date night, a solo night out, or a small friend group outing. I’d recommend making a reservation. There is bar seating but it is first come first serve. Believe me when I say, you won’t be in a hurry to leave. The restaurant is a little dark. The seats are comfy. The service is good. The food is even better. Happy hour everyday from 4-6 which includes a $20burger and old fashioned combo. But don’t sell yourself short! The ribeye! The steak tartare! THE BONE MARROW!! The light, citrusy, and refreshing seasonal crudo!!! The menu is deceptively simple because the execution is impeccable. You won’t regret coming here.

Google
Incredible food & dining experience If you order beef Wellington you won’t regret it. Though I’ve yet to have something I don’t like from here. As an avid martini lover their scale is top notch 🍸 Bathrooms are also such an exquisite touch. Make a reservation for the tables but also had great experience at the bar

Yelp
Everything was amazing! The food, the service, the ambiance was all 10/10. Highly recommend! The attire is not listed anywhere, but I would say it is more elevated casual!

Yelp
So I brought my good friend there for her graduation and I will say that the place is pretty good. Our server, Jess, was extremely lovely and very apologetic when the power shut off due to the random power outage on Sunday. Both my friend and I are always nervous about pasta dishes at restaurants BUT the place was fantastic with the dish. My only complaint was that it was 30$ for my pasta dishes because the vodka pasta does not come with a protein and it's 10$ extra dollars to add a protein. I did get the shrimp which were cooked properly and seasoned very nice. I will most likely return and hopefully get a better review on the ambiance because well, the power was out and it got hot fast so all we could think about was eat, pay, and leave.

Yelp
Really good restaurant in NOLA! I was really surprised when I saw the interior! Food is spectacular and I would advise people go on happy hour! It's a steal for cocktails! All the dishes I have tried here were amazing! I would comeback when I am in New Orleans
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my gosh, I need to hire the interior designer here! I adore the decor!! That is the title of this review, fyi. This place does give off that rustic, early 1900's mountain lodgey feel. All the beautiful green shades everywhere, the tasetful antler lighting chandeliers, the golden touches throughout - inclduing a golden toilet in the bathrooms. Its all just WOW! Sevice could not have been any better. He greeted us right away and mentioned that it was happy hour. Unebnknowst to me, what an even more surprise. They have HH everyday 4-6 and its limited to vertain cocktails, wine, and beer. Also, they have an AMAZING deal, you get a burger and an old fashioned for only $20. That day will be coming very soon. So, onto our dinner. We ordered steak tartare for an app. The steak and the egg had amazing flavor. There was a sauce underneath that almost ruined the dish though. I didn't care for it at all, in fact none of us did. I think that dish would be perfect without the sauce. I loved that it was served with won tons too. Just needed a bit more hehe I ordered the beef wellington which I loved. People are always asking for beef wellington and no one has it. I guess Chef Ramsey put it on the map and now everyone wants to try it but I know its a tricky dish to cook and perfect so not many places will do. I just want to give yall a shout out for taking on the task head first. It is great! And I know I will be back to order it again. This place is a great addtion to the area, keep up the great work!

Yelp
First off let me state that our service was top-notch. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food was good . I had the hamburger which was on point and my two friends had the steak. We also had the grilled romaine salad and onion soup, in addition to our cocktails... BUT... and it's a big but... We hated being nickled and dimed to death. My friend ordered the whipped potatoes with her steak and they charged her $1 for the butter. Her bill was already well over $120 with her cocktails and food. I asked for A1 sauce for my French fries because IYKYK. Instead of bringing me a bottle of A1 sauce, they brought me a tin with their "homemade" A1 sauce. Well, it was some sort of BBQ sauce that I would never put on my French fries - and they charged me $2.00 for it. When we are each spending well over $100 for dinner, why are we being nickled and dimed over sauces and butter? I go out and eat steak several times a month and I have never been charged for A1 sauce (much less BBQ sauce impersonating A1) or butter. It left a really bad taste in our mouths and we'll be hard-pressed to go back .

Yelp
The Husky is definitely a cool, niche spot for the city! It gives that dim, speakeasy feel that you'd love for a chill happy hour or dinner. The bartenders are super friendly, helpful, and talented at their craft! I've tried at least 4 Husky drinks, and they were all crisp and delicious. For food, I've only tried pasta a la vodka (add grilled shrimp) and it was delish! Truly, the pasta surpasses dishes from "Italian" spots in the city...sauce seasoned to perfection and noodles perfectly al dente. Even the restrooms are cool at The Husky! A little lagniappe: partake in the restroom shots at your own risk, lol. I really enjoy this spot and am glad the concept came here to New Orleans!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try The Husky after seeing friends post about it on instagram! Plus, love a new food spot. First, they do have a happy hour, which includes $9 select cocktails, and house wines. I thought the old-fashion was very good, esp for $9! Also they have a $20 deal for a burger & old fashion. However, we had the a la vodka rigatoni pasta, which was excellent. I would honestly recommend this dish and get it again in the future because the flavor of the sauce was really outstanding. We also had a side of asparagus and creamed spinach. They were both good as well. We were served the sautéed spinach first on accident and I did have one bite and I would honestly give those just as high of a rating to be honest. Lastly, we ended with the Key lime pie, which is more of a tart with meringue. I thought the meringue was made very good... tasty!! It wasn't my favorite dessert, but I would still say that it was good. Overall, I think it was a fair price point for what we got. Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. Great service from everyone that we interacted with! We really liked the sultry type ambience that made you feel like you were in a log cabin. It was giving 80s western. Overall, really good spot and I will definitely be back to try more because a lot of the food served around us looked very tasty!

Yelp
Fun night out having a great meal. Ambiance is 13/10. Service was excellent! But my only constructive comment is the music is weird compared to the beautiful setting. It was like electronic dance music.
google avatar

Yelp
Another steak checked off my list! I tried the Winnie, 5oz petit filet. It was the perfect amount of steak. No need to worry, they offer an 8oz as well. I am soooo glad I got the French Onion Soup as an appetizer. I'm a sucker for soup - no matter how hot it may be outside! This one was phenomenal. I think about it often and can't wait to get back. You can tell they have quality mixologists here. The cocktails were perfect. Be sure to visit their secret bathroom. Reservations fill up quick so be sure to book in advance. If you think of visiting last minute, you might be able to snag a few bar seats. This is a place you don't want to skip.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this place is very busy so make sure to get a reservation. The decor and esthetics of this place is very impressive. Def a date night spot you have to check out. We had reservations so no wait, our server was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the oysters, bone marrow, and lamb chops. We also ordered the steak tartare, grilled romain and salmon. Let me say you can't go wrong with any of these dishes. The quality, freshness, n flavor will have you begging for more. For entrees we ordered the steak, seabass, pork chops, and rigatoni pasta. The seabass was cooked perfectly n the rice paired perfectly with the mix vegetables. Tasted like a tropical vacation. The pasta noodles was cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce was def to die for. I cant wait to come back. Oh, did i mention you get to take a shot of whiskey for free n keep the cute shot glass. A great experience

Yelp
Omg! First time here after the amazing review and it was amazing! Food, service, and ambiance were excellent! I the filet mignon and we all ordered shareable sides for the table. Def would recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Our server Allison was amazing, she took great care of us. All the food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. Love the style and ambiance of the entire place. We had the below dishes which were all delicious. Beef Wellington 5oz Petit Filet 8oz Filet 14oz Ribeye Steak Tartare Oyster Mushrooms Fries Asparagus French Onion Soup

Yelp
According to Yelp they have a pet friendly patio ...upon arrival we were told they are not pet friendly. Seems to me someone should update their listing. We travel with a small Therapy Dog (not a service animal) and use Yelp to guide us to those spots that are genuinely PET FRIENDLY. Have no clue about their actual service or food. Very sad.

Yelp
The restaurant is super cool. Love the decor and style. We arrived a little early and the hostess was able to order cocktails for us. The hostess was super sweet and kept us informed about the wait for our table. We came specifically to try the Beef Wellington. It did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection. The beef cheeks pasta was fantastic. The vodka pasta was also good. I loved the Mac and cheese. Carrots were ok. The cocktails are as much of a highlight as the food. Very well thought out and the presentation is fantastic. Can't wait to try more. We came on Valentine's Day so the timing was a little slow which you should expect on a busy holiday. Our server was also great. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype. I don't routinely give 5 stars and even though everything wasn't perfect this is the most near perfect experience we've had in a while. Service was great. Every person we interacted with was nice and helpful. Our server was great in that she did not rush us through dinner. For Every course we had time to savor it without being rushed. Pleasantly surprised we made it before happy hour was over and got a few drinks at a slightly discounted price. Started with the lamb lollipops. Good flavor and a hint of spice. My BF was super excited about them and they delivered. Salads were also on point and decent sized. We tried both and they were both decent sized. For mains we had the short ribs and ala vodka pasta. The short ribs and risotto were the winner of the 2 but pasta was really good as well. The only thing we weren't in love with was the carrots we got as a side. They were a little on the firm side. Overall would highly recommend this place to any visitors or locals. Would definitely go back again!! Make your reservation early! Great added touches inside as well like the paneled walls and tile behind the bar.

Yelp
The Husky absolutely delivered. I started with the French onion soup, and let me just say -- it's the best I've ever had. And that's coming from someone who's dined at fine restaurants all over the world. It's packed with caramelized onions, layered over a rich, dark roux, and topped with broiled, bubbling cheese. Deep, savory, and perfectly executed. For the main course, I went with the ribeye -- beautifully grilled, tender, and full of flavor. It was plated simply, letting the quality of the meat speak for itself, with a garnish of fresh herbs that gave it a touch of elegance without overcomplicating things. The atmosphere ties it all together. Picture a high-end ski lodge: warm wood finishes, dim lighting, and just the right amount of rustic charm. It's cozy yet elevated, the kind of place where you could relax for hours with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes -- or just a long day in the city. The staff was welcoming and attentive from start to finish. Be sure to make a reservation -- this place fills up fast and for good reason. The Husky is one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.

Yelp
Service and ambiance...YES!!! Food...meh. First of all, my main problem were dishes were not as described on the menu or by the server. For instance, the server described a delicious tuna crudo & then what came out was salmon...no thank you. The steak tartare (which was really good) came with a sauce underneath that was NOT mentioned on the menu or by the server. The asparagus came with a sauce that wasn't on the menu either. Nevertheless, the wine selections are pretty good. I had the filet topped with crabmeat (which was sauteed, nice touch) and my husband had the ribeye. The steaks were pretty good but I've had better. I'm probably not gonna go back unless a friend is celebrating a birthday. But check it out for yourself.

Yelp
Amazing food & service. Great vibe. Must try the "Meat & Cheese" dessert- it's a dessert play that LOOKS savory- but it's oh, so sweet! Dark chocolate "salami", cream cheese mousse "cheese wedge", candied nuts, grapes, honey and strawberry puree.
google avatar

Sophia T.

Yelp
Really cute space. Good vibes. But pretty small. Not a big waiting area so it was really packed at the entrance. Had reservations but the restaurant was backed up. Waited about 15 mins for our reservation. We were offered complimentary champagne for the wait. Service was fine. Food was a bit pricy for what we got. The dessert was the saving grace of our meal. We had the rib-eye (not pictured) and it was dry and chewy. Bone marrow was half a bone for $25. Topped with some escargot. Not worth at all. Overall, was just not impressed by the food. I don't drink but was told the old fashioned here was better than the one previously had at Cure.

Yelp
My family and I recently went try The Husky within their first month of operation. I'll start first by saying this location is SMALL. The dining room is suitable size but the bar area is very tiny! The vibe is more for friends to maybe want to dress up a little and go out, but I wouldn't say it's traditional formal. Our server was great, but we found the kitchen to be slow. Our drinks were very good. My personal favorite was the non-alcoholic lemonade mocktail. The burrata was excellent, tasted absolutely fresh, and could be qualified as an entree itself- definitely a shareable but I was able to finish it as one person! Now the biggest thing you should know is that this restaurant is ala carte when it comes to the steaks, which are their prize dishes. Our steaks were definitely fabulous, but it's hard to justify $9 whipped potatoes to go with your lonely 5oz filet. Our potatoes lacked any sort of seasoning- I poured hollandaise sauce into it to add more flavor. Overall, it was a good meal but was a little steep. I'd maybe consider going again once they have been open for a bit longer. I'd define go back for the burrata though!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a beautiful restaurant- and it's a very popular place right now. We arrived a little early for our reservation and squeezed in at the bar - the bartenders were busy but cheerful. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, so the hostess poured us a little half glass of bubbles, which was appreciated and a nice touch. For appetizers we ordered the salmon crudo and lamb lollipops. The crudo was excellent. The feta with the lamb was delicious- the lamb tasted like a campfire to me. This is a flavor that some people enjoy so it's a matter of personal preference- but it wasn't for me. We ordered filets which were both cooked perfectly. Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were good. We tried the chocolate cake which was also good and a unique presentation. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
What a freakin great experience! The Husky has such a great vibe, my entire group enjoyed our experience so much. The bar is just beautiful, the cocktails are spot on and love the mix of old timey glasses. The dining room is simple hunting lodge meets art deco, and the service was so comfortable and friendly, Hanna is the best! We ordered some yummy bites, the friend mushrooms were incredible and the burrata was fantastic, that prosciutto butter blew our freakin minds!!! I think we all ordered steaks so we all got to pick out our weapon of choice, which was the best detail. My rib eye was perfectly cooked, the sides were delicious and just right. Everyone else gobbled up their dinners, and then we decided to share some dessert. We tried o e of the specials, a passion fruit tart which was so light and yummy and then the one with the malted milk ice cream and brownies, perfect bites! Super duper tip, check out ALL the ladies rooms, best bathroom ever!!!! Disco mirror art deco dance party vibes, LOVE!!!!

Yelp
Great atmosphere with an awesome bar! Beef Wellington was delicious. Loved it as much as the sister restaurant Pigeon & Whale.
google avatar

Brandon B.

Yelp
Very masculine-old men's club setting. Although neither of us love whisky or bourbon, we found the cocktails and wine to be well chosen/crafted. The service at the bar was perfect. Felt like...the 1940's? I guess. Loved the vibe. Burger was delicious and came with excellent fries, though, we didn't see fries on the menu anywhere. Salad was massive and uniquely good. We will, certainly, keep 'The Husky' on our top tier list. Can't wait to return for a ribeye!
google avatar

Peyton F.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere! The lighting is extremely dim and the music is quite loud but there is a great vibe overall! Loved all of the appetizers & drinks. I will say, the dinner portions are quite small but it makes for a perfect "family style" dinner. My friends & I shared two orders of short ribs, a tomahawk pork chop and a pasta dish that left us all satisfied! Server was extremely accommodating and friendly as well, would definitely recommend for a friendly outing or a second/ third date!

Yelp
I finally made it to the Husky and I honestly can't wait to go back. We went on a busy Friday night. We arrived early for our reservation so we waited at the bar at first standing and eventually we got a seat. The bar area is beautiful and very much giving Gatsby vibes. We got a glass of Malbec and brut so no special cocktails but we were happy with our choices and the bartender's service. We were at the bar maybe 20 minutes before we were shown to our seats. Our server Charlie greeted us promptly and let us take our time ordering while he grabbed us some waters. We decided on the crudo of the day (Salmon) and the crispy oysters to start. The salmon crudo was fresh but could've had more flavor. The crispy oysters were fried hot and topped with a cheese sauce and shredded parm and served with warm bread. It was very tasty but I only had two and let my date enjoy all those carbs. Next we ordered the beef Wellington which came with asparagus and we ordered additional sides of mash and Mac and cheese. So many carbs but everything was delicious. The beef was a perfect medium rare as it should be. I have zero complaints about this meal. It was well-priced considering the area and quality.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
Killer. Our group of 4 got in at 5p, in time for a happy hour I didn't know they had. Properly lubricated we had tuna crudo, steak tartar, both salads, lamb chops, filet, ribeye, and potatoes. Everything was delicious. Our least favorite item was the apple and endive salad, a little on the bitter side, maybe could have used more dressing. Our fave item was the tartar- I could have eaten three servings. The crudo (ours was tuna) was a close second. Will be back to try the burger soon!

Janna J.

Yelp
I've really been wanting to go and after getting cancelled on by friends twice, I decided to go solo. Even on a Sunday night, the vibe was very lively. My server was great. I really liked the grilled romaine salad. It reminded me of a BLT without the bread. (Note that it comes with olives, but that's not mentioned on the menu.) The burger was very good. I ordered the whipped potatoes because I wasn't sure if the burger came with fries (it does). They are so good. I ended up taking them home because I didn't need two kinds of potatoes at once. I enjoyed it and can't wait to go back with friends.
google avatar

Dionne A.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this spot! The restaurant was stunning elegant decor, great service. I ordered the burger and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The Husky is effortlessly cool, serving up bold flavors with serious swagger. The Old Fashioned is smooth, the French onion soup is molten magic, and the crispy oysters snap just right. The Beef Wellington is buttery perfection, and the Rigatoni a la Vodka is pure comfort. If you want top-tier bites in a vibey spot, this is it.
google avatar

Reggie M.

Yelp
Horrible service. I had to leave our table three times to order drinks. The waiter was absent the entire dinner. The food was very good, but the night was ruined. I spent more time with the bartender than my wife. Waste of $300
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for an old fashioned and this is a specialty at The Husky. The art deco interior makes this place feel like a speakeasy.

Shaula L.

Yelp
This place is worth all the buzz. It is as good as everyone said. The food was delicious and playful. We started with the salmon crudo (please don't change it). It was a party in our mouth; perfectly balanced and tasty. What a way of opening! Then we had the steak tartar, pretty good, simple, straight forward and well prepared. Great appetizers! For my main I had the lamb chop lollipops, which were good but a little heavy on the feta cheese. My husband order the Beaf Wellington and that my friends was fantastic!!! I will go back over and over for that dish. I find it little on the large size but no complaints on the left over. I would share that plate and order some sides next time (and there will be a next time for sure). The drinks were pretty good as well. They have a very well stocked bourbon/whiskey bar with fun little cocktails. And then we had dessert... which is why this place to me, is playful. I love a well balanced desert that is not too heavy. We order the "cheese"plate and I absolutely loved it. Nothing like a dish that tricks your mind. It look exactly like a cheese board and it did taste like cheese. You should try it cause it's hard to describe it. It's an experience. The ambiance is cozy, kind of manly, a little dark and woodsy. Very mid century. So I do give this place a 5 star. It was a great spot for a date night and worth the wait. It also had a very good happy hour. So make reservations well in advance and check them out.

Bryce K.

Yelp
I don't give out five star views often. But after eating at the Husky tonight, that will change. The yellowfin Crudo and the French onion soup for a great starter for my girlfriend and I on her birthday. For entrées, we had the beef Wellington and the vodka pasta. The food was amazing. The server Cody was excellent at describing and explaining and great detail all of the different dishes, as well as the desserts and drinks. He was extremely knowledgeable on the different ingredients used. This place would be great for a date night or a small celebration with you and your family or friends. I highly recommend visiting the husky on your next visit to New Orleans.

Yelp
Really cute place. Great for a happy hour or date night. Loved the onion soup, but want to try the burger next time. Husband enjoyed the Salmon crudo with the sunflower oil and micro greens.

Yelp
Everything was FINE, and I mean fine dining. I thought everything was exciting, new, beautiful interior and a great menu. We will go back for sure and soon. We took our son for his birthday dinner and it was really memorable

Yelp
LOVE IT! It is a vibe. the food was amazing - the color palate with the green and gold is very inviting and transports you somewhere else from NOLA. The pasta was amazing and so was the steak. Thank you to the amazing waitress we had - thank you to the bartender who took our drink order while waiting. We will be back, thank you once again for a great evening

The new Restaurant Husky from Pigeon & Whales is absolutely beautifully done. Colby our server was one of the best we have had in a while. Friendly, knowledgable, & very charming. The Beef Wellington was a complete failure. The steak was not Prime & the dough was tough, dense, & looked like a brick. Difficult to even cut into w their perfect steak knife. The crust is suppose to be light, buttery & flaky.

Yelp
I did indeed have a 5-star experience. Had an early reservation for 5:15 PM for the day after Snowmageddon. It didn't even occur to me that happy hour was going on so the waitress letting me know that drinks were only $9 until 6 PM was a pleasant surprise. Finding out that their happy hour is everyday (yes, even on weekends) was an even more pleasant surprise. This place definitely passes the vibe check. I felt like I was a 70s mob wife or something lol. I love the dark, vintage aesthetic. The decor is beautiful. I started with a "Last Word", which is one of my favorite cocktails & it was delish. I later got a "Paper Plane", which was SO good. Got the steak tartare and bone marrow for apps. The bone marrow was rich & flavorful. The focaccia is incredibly buttery and melts your mouth. The steak tartare has to be top 2 or 3 I've ever had. It was great and a good portion size. Next up was the pork cheek cannelloni. It was very tasty. I loved the bolognese and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The ribeye was cooked perfectly as well. I just needed a touch more salt. For dessert, was a mini key lime pie. The tartness was a shock to the tastebuds at first but once I adjusted, I realized just how good it was. Though I prefer a graham cracker crust and whipped cream, the crust and meringue were both well done & rounded out quite the tasty dessert. The service was great and all of the staff was so friendly. I'm definitely going to spin the block on this spot.

Yelp
WOW! Perfect multi coursed meal. Tate was so warm on the way in and made sure to get us comfortably seated with FANTASTIC and creative cocktails from the bartender. The crispy mushrooms and the beef wellington were incredible, but the french onion soup was LIFE changing. Nellie truly took the experience to an entirely different level with her attention, expertise and kindness!! Please ask for her if you want the best possible experience! Thank you so much to the servers, hosts, and bartenders for working SO hard to made sure it was a good experience, and thank you SO much to the kitchen for making some of the best food we've ever had!

Yelp
Overall I would say the restaurant is a 6/10 . For starters Host - Lilly was phenomenal, she was very welcoming and attentive. Server - Chris started off great but I believe things took a turn once I let him know that my steak was extremely salty . He informed the manager Tina and she approached the table very aggressively without any introduction of who she was and started "You didn't like your steak ? " My response , No it is extremely salty . Tina - Would you like me to get you another one with no seasoning at all ? Me - No , that's fine . Tina - Takes the plate and walks off abruptly. Moments later Chris checks in with the table and says "Did my manager take care of everything for you ?" Me - No , but I'm ok. Chris - "She bought your steak .. that's what you wanted right ? " I could only let off a deep sigh because Tina did not buy me anything nor take the leadership role as a manager to assure customer satisfaction. Her demeanor was very condescending and it shows that the characteristics trickled down upon the server . I would definitely say the kitchen needs a little more structure as all of our entrees and sides came out staggered and not all at once , and after having a conversation with another patron while waiting to use the restroom she stated he brother and law had come last week and his steak was extremely salty and dry . That makes me to believe it depends on who's working. I loved the crispy oysters and wouldn't mind returning for them as well as the delicious rum idk fashion however Tina put a real damper on my experience and I would hate to be disappointed a second time and receive piss poor customer service.

Yelp
Husky it's been so hyped up since opening and I wanted to try them mostly because they are affiliated with our favorite restaurant, pigeon and whale right across the street from them! Finally made it there this week and sat at the bar.. bartender was cool and made amazing drinks ! For food my husband got the ribeye and I got the fish special.. we also had their creamed spinach and whipped potatoes ! Everything we tried was amazing ! And for dessert we had the sweet "charcuterie board".. a delight for the eyes and mouth

Yelp
After so much hype, nothing about this restaurant was memorable. Not great ambience, weird seating, very, very average food. The service was OK although they brought the wrong order a couple of times. A lot of money for very little satisfaction!

Yelp
Let's start with saying the vibes are immaculate! This restaurant is so moody and sexy! It's gorgeous. I came here for a little girls night dinner and it was perfect. I'm so mad at myself for forgetting our servers name but he was amazing and honest which is everything you want! He ran through the menu from top to bottom with his opinions and commentary, we love that! I started with a dirty martini and they have the cutest little section on the menu where you can pick just how dirty you want it. Loved that! We started off with the crudo, rigatoni and burrata. The crudo and rigatoni were soooo good! The burrata was okay but that bread is scrumptious. For entrees we had the short ribs (10/10), fish of the day and a steak! Everything was so good! The carrots and creamed spinach for sides were also so good! There's also the coolest bathroom behind the curtain that is so fancy and lux! Definitelyyyyy will be back

Yelp
This was an absolute treat and beautiful restaurant. From the drinks to the appetizers and entrees I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my birthday. Everything was delicious. The service was great as well, extremely attentive servers and a timely dinner from beginning to end on a Friday night. Definitely adding this to my list of great New Orleans restaurants.

Yelp
Food was delicious considering the wait -- we got the tartar & fried mushrooms to start. Both were delectable although, the mushrooms were so late we forgot we ordered them. Wellington was excellent. I feel for the staff as they are all doing the best they can in the most uncomfortable uniform imaginable. Although I truly hate the concept design--bad font on the menu, ugly dark wood panels throughout create the illusion of being in the worst single wide trailer in the park. Whiskey decanter in the bathroom is genius so don't skip taking a leak!
