The Husky

This place was everything we wanted it to be! The Husky strangely seems to be one of the few restaurants in our incredible city of food that you can find beef Wellington on the menu. The flavor was exquisite, and the meat was perfectly cooked to temperature. The pate could have used a little more mushroom, but we otherwise enjoyed it to the very last bite! The lamb lollipops were perfect! The marrow was subpar, It seemed to be lacking a little on the savory factor, and the escargot on top was a little tough. Regardless, we didn’t have Michelin restaurant expectations and we were thoroughly satisfied! Even pricing was reasonable. The atmosphere was a cool and modern vibe. The lighting was perfect. We were celebrating a birthday and they even have a fun over 21 birthday secret! Great place, highly recommend!

A total win all around. Trusting the staff is always the move, and clearly they knew what they were doing. The cannelloni bolognese was a solid choice—comfort food at its finest. “Yummy in my tummy!” pretty much says it all 😂🍝

We started with the most amazing appetizer, the Roasted Bone Marrow. It was smothered with flavor and escargot, which we dipped the crusty grilled bread into. Absolutely the best part of our meal! Our main entrees were the Drum fish, the burger and steak. Delicious! We ended the meal with the most visually stunning lime custard in a chocolate lime shell. Wow! Kudos to the pastry chef!!

I found the food to be solid, but nothing particularly memorable. The steak tasted like it was pre-portioned from a supplier rather than part of an in-house meat program. Their Happy Hour burger-and-drink deal definitely draws a crowd, but the burger itself was just okay—the bun felt a bit too thick for a smash-style patty. The fries were cooked and salted perfectly. Service, however, was excellent, and the atmosphere was 👍🏾👍🏾. I’d definitely go back to try other menu items and see what else they have to offer.

The vibes of this place are immaculate. It’s so beautifully decorated, I couldn’t stop looking around during dinner. We went for the $20 burger happy hour. Honestly a steal. The fries and old fashioned were worth it alone. We ended up getting another drink and sharing an appetizer and dessert. The food was so tasty and unique. Please, please, even if you don’t have to go, check out the bathrooms. We love a good themed bathroom and The Husky has some of the most beautiful bathrooms in all of New Orleans. I’ll be back to try other menu items for sure!

Went for Happy hour drinks which starts at 4-6 PM daily. Drinks were $9. My husband got the burger HH deal and it was worth it. You get a drink along with your burger. I got the bone marrow, it was okay. I wouldn’t say it was a fav. It did come with escargot which was good. The steak was also okay. I got the ribeye. Our waitress was a sweetheart and made sure we were well taken care of. I wouldn’t say def be back for the drinks and to try other dishes.

This spot is so cool, loved the atmosphere, the vibes and the food. Service was incredible. Looks like it’s really new and would definitely flourish as one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. Loved the martini choices, the steaks and the sides.

Make a reservation. Try as many menu items as you can. The burrata is a must try. The escargot in the bone marrow is good. The bone marrow itself, is too gelatinous. The tomahawk pork panee was a little burnt. The grilled romaine had a nice char. The rigatoni a la vodka was very tomato🍅 forward and tangy. Great service. Amazing atmosphere.

The Husky is giving Gatsby/20's vibe - great spot for date night or a few drinks. The staff here are friendly and the food is delicious! Favorites were crispy oyster mushrooms, French onion soup, and bison short rib. The crispy oyster mushrooms are lightly battered maitake or oyster mushrooms, drizzled with a rosemary garlic aioli. French onion soup was one of the best I've had and the bison short rib was tender and delicious with the sweet potato risotto. Would love to come back and check out more of the menu items like beef Wellington! PS - don't forget to take a bathroom break ;) most beautiful restroom I've seen!

Went to the Husky for happy hour! Get there soon before this deal goes away. $20 for a double smash burger and fries and an old fashioned! It was delicious. Burger was buttery and cheesey with soft buns. The old fashioned was original and pleasant. I will definitely go back soon. The ambiance was great. We sat at the bar. I forgot to take pics, but it was very elegant. I almost forgot I was on Freret St uptown.

Delicious meal here. Great decor and vibe. Ate at the bar. Excellent service. The lamb appetizers are off the hook - especially the sauce. I hear the steaks are great, but I was in the mood for pasta so I had the rigatoni. Absolutely delicious. Great flavors. 100% would come back.

Finally made it to Happy Hour at The Husky! The service was great--Sierra the bartender made sure I had a drink while waiting and notified me as soon as a bar seat opened up. I tried the smash burger and fries with the Old Fashioned HH special for $20--so good! Added mushrooms, lettuce, and grilled onions for $2 more, totally worth it. The burger was juicy, the bun soft, and the Old Fashioned was the star. I Tried the a drink called the Paper Plane too, but it was a bit tart for me. I Loved the speakeasy vibe--of the place.. I'm definitely coming back!

SUCH cute vibes in here. went with a friend for happy hour and got a $9 espresso martini that was absolutely incredible. she ordered the vodka pasta and really loved it, and i got the fried oyster mushroom appetizer, which was so delicious. and everyone who works here is so, so nice and cool. a really great happy hour spot for the girls or for a date!

Such a cool hidden gem giving all the Gatsby vibes! The food was amazing I tried the bison short rib with the sweet potato which was delicious the short rib is cooked just right and can we talk about the bathrooms clean and esthetically pleasing!

came to The Husky in New Orleans for my sister's birthday and had a great experience. The service was good, the inside of the restaurant looked awesome, and the food was delicious. It was the perfect spot to celebrate and I would definitely come back.

Oh my gosh, I need to hire the interior designer here! I adore the decor!! That is the title of this review, fyi. This place does give off that rustic, early 1900's mountain lodgey feel. All the beautiful green shades everywhere, the tasetful antler lighting chandeliers, the golden touches throughout - inclduing a golden toilet in the bathrooms. Its all just WOW! Sevice could not have been any better. He greeted us right away and mentioned that it was happy hour. Unebnknowst to me, what an even more surprise. They have HH everyday 4-6 and its limited to vertain cocktails, wine, and beer. Also, they have an AMAZING deal, you get a burger and an old fashioned for only $20. That day will be coming very soon. So, onto our dinner. We ordered steak tartare for an app. The steak and the egg had amazing flavor. There was a sauce underneath that almost ruined the dish though. I didn't care for it at all, in fact none of us did. I think that dish would be perfect without the sauce. I loved that it was served with won tons too. Just needed a bit more hehe I ordered the beef wellington which I loved. People are always asking for beef wellington and no one has it. I guess Chef Ramsey put it on the map and now everyone wants to try it but I know its a tricky dish to cook and perfect so not many places will do. I just want to give yall a shout out for taking on the task head first. It is great! And I know I will be back to order it again. This place is a great addtion to the area, keep up the great work!

This was my second time at The Husky and this restaurant is now 2 for 2 on being a great experience. The cool decor, beautiful bar, and low lighting definitely sets the tone. The cocktails were on point, mixed to perfection. The crispy oysters were even better than I expected. The fresh spinach really set this dish off for me. One of the daily specials was the venison on a bed of potatoes skins, with fried jalapenos and tomatoes. I really liked this meal but if you want something more hefty I'd suggest substituting the potato skins for a different side. Now back to the ambience. This is a very photo worthy restaurant. There's a cool unisex bathroom with mirrors on all four walls. Perfect for creating your reels if you're into that.

Went here for the $20 burger, fries, and Old fashion happy hour deal and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is 10/10. It has a super cool cabin feel, while also maintaining elegance and class. It definitely transports you to a lodge somewhere in the mountains. The burger was fantastic, double smashed patties with cheese. The fries were great as well, there was this chipotle mayo sauce that accompanied the dish that was outstanding. And finally, the old fashion was classic and had a cool looking ice cube in it. Definitely don't wait to go here. I for sure will return.

The Husky is a great spot for date night and definitely lives up to the hype. For my entrée, I went with the market fish, which happened to be redfish that night. It was fantastic - perfectly cooked, but what really stood out were the cornbread croutons. They added a unique and delicious flavor and crunch. We also tried the rigatoni a la vodka, which was equally delicious. It was full of flavor - definitely a dish I'd order again. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake with bourbon whipped cream and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had, rich and delicious. I will definitely be back to explore the menu

We walked into the Husky on a Friday evening around 5:30, just before happy hour was set to end. We expected to walk up to the bar but it was full! The atmosphere was lively and they seemed to have things pretty organized even as people waited for their table or a spot at the bar. By a miracle we got sat at a table just before 6pm and our waiter was happy to rush our burger and old fashioned order so we could get the $20 deal on time. The drinks were top notch and the burger was very juicy, double patties and cheese cooked perfectly medium. I will definitely be returning here - with a reservation!

The food and cocktails were great! Service even better. Allison was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire visit! Shoutout to Sam who did a huge favor to my party!

I've been wanting to try The Husky after seeing friends post about it on instagram! Plus, love a new food spot. First, they do have a happy hour, which includes $9 select cocktails, and house wines. I thought the old-fashion was very good, esp for $9! Also they have a $20 deal for a burger & old fashion. However, we had the a la vodka rigatoni pasta, which was excellent. I would honestly recommend this dish and get it again in the future because the flavor of the sauce was really outstanding. We also had a side of asparagus and creamed spinach. They were both good as well. We were served the sautéed spinach first on accident and I did have one bite and I would honestly give those just as high of a rating to be honest. Lastly, we ended with the Key lime pie, which is more of a tart with meringue. I thought the meringue was made very good... tasty!! It wasn't my favorite dessert, but I would still say that it was good. Overall, I think it was a fair price point for what we got. Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. Great service from everyone that we interacted with! We really liked the sultry type ambience that made you feel like you were in a log cabin. It was giving 80s western. Overall, really good spot and I will definitely be back to try more because a lot of the food served around us looked very tasty!

Let me start off by saying this place is very busy so make sure to get a reservation. The decor and esthetics of this place is very impressive. Def a date night spot you have to check out. We had reservations so no wait, our server was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the oysters, bone marrow, and lamb chops. We also ordered the steak tartare, grilled romain and salmon. Let me say you can't go wrong with any of these dishes. The quality, freshness, n flavor will have you begging for more. For entrees we ordered the steak, seabass, pork chops, and rigatoni pasta. The seabass was cooked perfectly n the rice paired perfectly with the mix vegetables. Tasted like a tropical vacation. The pasta noodles was cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce was def to die for. I cant wait to come back. Oh, did i mention you get to take a shot of whiskey for free n keep the cute shot glass. A great experience

The restaurant is super cool. Love the decor and style. We arrived a little early and the hostess was able to order cocktails for us. The hostess was super sweet and kept us informed about the wait for our table. We came specifically to try the Beef Wellington. It did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection. The beef cheeks pasta was fantastic. The vodka pasta was also good. I loved the Mac and cheese. Carrots were ok. The cocktails are as much of a highlight as the food. Very well thought out and the presentation is fantastic. Can't wait to try more. We came on Valentine's Day so the timing was a little slow which you should expect on a busy holiday. Our server was also great. Would definitely come again.

This place lives up to the hype. I don't routinely give 5 stars and even though everything wasn't perfect this is the most near perfect experience we've had in a while. Service was great. Every person we interacted with was nice and helpful. Our server was great in that she did not rush us through dinner. For Every course we had time to savor it without being rushed. Pleasantly surprised we made it before happy hour was over and got a few drinks at a slightly discounted price. Started with the lamb lollipops. Good flavor and a hint of spice. My BF was super excited about them and they delivered. Salads were also on point and decent sized. We tried both and they were both decent sized. For mains we had the short ribs and ala vodka pasta. The short ribs and risotto were the winner of the 2 but pasta was really good as well. The only thing we weren't in love with was the carrots we got as a side. They were a little on the firm side. Overall would highly recommend this place to any visitors or locals. Would definitely go back again!! Make your reservation early! Great added touches inside as well like the paneled walls and tile behind the bar.

Our server Allison was amazing, she took great care of us. All the food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. Love the style and ambiance of the entire place. Really good restaurant in NOLA! I was really surprised when I saw the interior! Food is spectacular and I would advise people go on happy hour! It's a steal for cocktails! All the dishes I have tried here were amazing! I would comeback when I am in New Orleans

The Husky is definitely a cool, niche spot for the city! It gives that dim, speakeasy feel that you'd love for a chill happy hour or dinner. The bartenders are super friendly, helpful, and talented at their craft! I've tried at least 4 Husky drinks, and they were all crisp and delicious. For food, I've only tried pasta a la vodka (add grilled shrimp) and it was delish! Truly, the pasta surpasses dishes from "Italian" spots in the city...sauce seasoned to perfection and noodles perfectly al dente. Even the restrooms are cool at The Husky! A little lagniappe: partake in the restroom shots at your own risk, lol. I really enjoy this spot and am glad the concept came here to New Orleans!

Such a beautiful restaurant- and it's a very popular place right now. We arrived a little early for our reservation and squeezed in at the bar - the bartenders were busy but cheerful. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, so the hostess poured us a little half glass of bubbles, which was appreciated and a nice touch. For appetizers we ordered the salmon crudo and lamb lollipops. The crudo was excellent. The feta with the lamb was delicious- the lamb tasted like a campfire to me. This is a flavor that some people enjoy so it's a matter of personal preference- but it wasn't for me. We ordered filets which were both cooked perfectly. Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were good. We tried the chocolate cake which was also good and a unique presentation. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

My family and I recently went try The Husky within their first month of operation. I'll start first by saying this location is SMALL. The dining room is suitable size but the bar area is very tiny! The vibe is more for friends to maybe want to dress up a little and go out, but I wouldn't say it's traditional formal. Our server was great, but we found the kitchen to be slow. Our drinks were very good. My personal favorite was the non-alcoholic lemonade mocktail. The burrata was excellent, tasted absolutely fresh, and could be qualified as an entree itself- definitely a shareable but I was able to finish it as one person! Now the biggest thing you should know is that this restaurant is ala carte when it comes to the steaks, which are their prize dishes. Our steaks were definitely fabulous, but it's hard to justify $9 whipped potatoes to go with your lonely 5oz filet. Our potatoes lacked any sort of seasoning- I poured hollandaise sauce into it to add more flavor. Overall, it was a good meal but was a little steep. I'd maybe consider going again once they have been open for a bit longer. I'd define go back for the burrata though!

Really cute space. Good vibes. But pretty small. Not a big waiting area so it was really packed at the entrance. Had reservations but the restaurant was backed up. Waited about 15 mins for our reservation. We were offered complimentary champagne for the wait. Service was fine. Food was a bit pricy for what we got. The dessert was the saving grace of our meal. We had the rib-eye (not pictured) and it was dry and chewy. Bone marrow was half a bone for $25. Topped with some escargot. Not worth at all. Overall, was just not impressed by the food. I don't drink but was told the old fashioned here was better than the one previously had at Cure.

Fun night out having a great meal. Ambiance is 13/10. Service was excellent! But my only constructive comment is the music is weird compared to the beautiful setting. It was like electronic dance music.

Didn't get the chance to have dinner here since it was a stop after dinner. Though if you're looking for very strong and boozy cocktails, you are in the right place.

Just...what awesome food. We did some sharing so don't judge. The pork cheek pasta dish was absolutely delicious. The caramelized onions and tender meat suggest a perfect cooking process. Please order. Also got the 8oz filet and it was perfect. Go for it. Service was excellent.

Service and ambiance...YES!!! Food...meh. First of all, my main problem were dishes were not as described on the menu or by the server. For instance, the server described a delicious tuna crudo & then what came out was salmon...no thank you. The steak tartare (which was really good) came with a sauce underneath that was NOT mentioned on the menu or by the server. The asparagus came with a sauce that wasn't on the menu either. Nevertheless, the wine selections are pretty good. I had the filet topped with crabmeat (which was sauteed, nice touch) and my husband had the ribeye. The steaks were pretty good but I've had better. I'm probably not gonna go back unless a friend is celebrating a birthday. But check it out for yourself.

The atmosphere ties it all together. Picture a high-end ski lodge: warm wood finishes, dim lighting, and just the right amount of rustic charm. It's cozy yet elevated, the kind of place where you could relax for hours with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes -- or just a long day in the city. The staff was welcoming and attentive from start to finish. Be sure to make a reservation -- this place fills up fast and for good reason. The Husky is one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.

If you are a roaring 20's fan, you'd definitely need to check this place out. The great gatsby aesthetic is divine and the food 10 out of 10. Our server was very pleasant and efficient as well.

Beautiful atmosphere! The lighting is extremely dim and the music is quite loud but there is a great vibe overall! Loved all of the appetizers & drinks. I will say, the dinner portions are quite small but it makes for a perfect "family style" dinner. My friends & I shared two orders of short ribs, a tomahawk pork chop and a pasta dish that left us all satisfied! Server was extremely accommodating and friendly as well, would definitely recommend for a friendly outing or a second/ third date!

I finally made it to the Husky and I honestly can't wait to go back. We went on a busy Friday night. We arrived early for our reservation so we waited at the bar at first standing and eventually we got a seat. The bar area is beautiful and very much giving Gatsby vibes. We got a glass of Malbec and brut so no special cocktails but we were happy with our choices and the bartender's service. We were at the bar maybe 20 minutes before we were shown to our seats. Our server Charlie greeted us promptly and let us take our time ordering while he grabbed us some waters. We decided on the crudo of the day (Salmon) and the crispy oysters to start. The salmon crudo was fresh but could've had more flavor. The crispy oysters were fried hot and topped with a cheese sauce and shredded parm and served with warm bread. It was very tasty but I only had two and let my date enjoy all those carbs. Next we ordered the beef Wellington which came with asparagus and we ordered additional sides of mash and Mac and cheese. So many carbs but everything was delicious. The beef was a perfect medium rare as it should be. I have zero complaints about this meal. It was well-priced considering the area and quality.

The Husky is such a vibe. The Happy Hour special was fantastic, and the rigatoni is perfection. The service was friendly and timely. I will go back over and over.

I've really been wanting to go and after getting cancelled on by friends twice, I decided to go solo. Even on a Sunday night, the vibe was very lively. My server was great. I really liked the grilled romaine salad. It reminded me of a BLT without the bread. (Note that it comes with olives, but that's not mentioned on the menu.) The burger was very good. I ordered the whipped potatoes because I wasn't sure if the burger came with fries (it does). They are so good. I ended up taking them home because I didn't need two kinds of potatoes at once. I enjoyed it and can't wait to go back with friends.

The Husky is effortlessly cool, serving up bold flavors with serious swagger. The Old Fashioned is smooth, the French onion soup is molten magic, and the crispy oysters snap just right. The Beef Wellington is buttery perfection, and the Rigatoni a la Vodka is pure comfort. If you want top-tier bites in a vibey spot, this is it.

According to Yelp they have a pet friendly patio ...upon arrival we were told they are not pet friendly. Seems to me someone should update their listing. We travel with a small Therapy Dog (not a service animal) and use Yelp to guide us to those spots that are genuinely PET FRIENDLY. Have no clue about their actual service or food. Very sad.

This place delivers on ambiance. Some of the food is pretty underwhelming for the price though. My steak was good but the plate it was on got cold very fast. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are nothing to write home about. Good drinks and dessert!

What a freakin great experience! The Husky has such a great vibe, my entire group enjoyed our experience so much. The bar is just beautiful, the cocktails are spot on and love the mix of old timey glasses. The dining room is simple hunting lodge meets art deco, and the service was so comfortable and friendly, Hanna is the best! We ordered some yummy bites, the friend mushrooms were incredible and the burrata was fantastic, that prosciutto butter blew our freakin minds!!! I think we all ordered steaks so we all got to pick out our weapon of choice, which was the best detail. My rib eye was perfectly cooked, the sides were delicious and just right. Everyone else gobbled up their dinners, and then we decided to share some dessert. We tried o e of the specials, a passion fruit tart which was so light and yummy and then the one with the malted milk ice cream and brownies, perfect bites! Super duper tip, check out ALL the ladies rooms, best bathroom ever!!!! Disco mirror art deco dance party vibes, LOVE!!!!

Omg! First time here after the amazing review and it was amazing! Food, service, and ambiance were excellent! I the filet mignon and we all ordered shareable sides for the table. Def would recommend this place to others.

This place is worth all the buzz. It is as good as everyone said. The food was delicious and playful. We started with the salmon crudo (please don't change it). It was a party in our mouth; perfectly balanced and tasty. What a way of opening! Then we had the steak tartar, pretty good, simple, straight forward and well prepared. Great appetizers! For my main I had the lamb chop lollipops, which were good but a little heavy on the feta cheese. My husband order the Beaf Wellington and that my friends was fantastic!!! I will go back over and over for that dish. I find it little on the large size but no complaints on the left over. I would share that plate and order some sides next time (and there will be a next time for sure). The drinks were pretty good as well. They have a very well stocked bourbon/whiskey bar with fun little cocktails. And then we had dessert... which is why this place to me, is playful. I love a well balanced desert that is not too heavy. We order the "cheese"plate and I absolutely loved it. Nothing like a dish that tricks your mind. It look exactly like a cheese board and it did taste like cheese. You should try it cause it's hard to describe it. It's an experience. The ambiance is cozy, kind of manly, a little dark and woodsy. Very mid century. So I do give this place a 5 star. It was a great spot for a date night and worth the wait. It also had a very good happy hour. So make reservations well in advance and check them out.

Food Service Ambience AMAZING! Crispy Oysters were so tasty. Pork cheek cannoli with Bolognese was my favorite. Espresso Martini so delicious. Six of us had different dishes and we tasted all of them. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend The Husky!

Everything was FINE, and I mean fine dining. I thought everything was exciting, new, beautiful interior and a great menu. We will go back for sure and soon. We took our son for his birthday dinner and it was really memorable

Very masculine-old men's club setting. Although neither of us love whisky or bourbon, we found the cocktails and wine to be well chosen/crafted. The service at the bar was perfect. Felt like...the 1940's? I guess. Loved the vibe. Burger was delicious and came with excellent fries, though, we didn't see fries on the menu anywhere. Salad was massive and uniquely good. We will, certainly, keep 'The Husky' on our top tier list. Can't wait to return for a ribeye!

The Husky has the best burrata I've ever had! The prosciutto butter with that tomato jam is chef's kiss! I love the variety of Old Fashioned's. And as good as the burrata is, the steak is still the star of show. They boast a beautiful bar and even the bathroom is sexy! I can't wait to return!

Amazing food & service. Great vibe. Must try the "Meat & Cheese" dessert- it's a dessert play that LOOKS savory- but it's oh, so sweet! Dark chocolate "salami", cream cheese mousse "cheese wedge", candied nuts, grapes, honey and strawberry puree.
