The Noble Wine Bar + Restaurant

INSANELY good !!! Finally got to try the Noble on a Friday night with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. I especially loved the halloumi and sea bass crudo (the honey & citrus added perfect balance of flavor). Ambiance was very intimate and service was excellent thanks to Claire. Merci :)

What a magical energy this place has. Perfect and quite outdoors sitting (rare to find in Greenpoint). Food was very good! Reminded me one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Greece. The kitchen definitely has high standards. Service was so kind and very down to earth.

The Noble is easily one of Greenpoint‘s best hidden gems. Tucked away on Noble Street in Greenpoint. It’s on a quiet corner in a more residential, historical area. The building, the design, and the vibe are everything you want from your neighborhood bistro. The outdoor dining in the summer is everything. Umbrellas are up to provide some good shade. The wine is fantastic and you can’t beat the roasted corn and watermelon salad. The menu changes seasonally, Rick – the owner is always on the floor and is the perfect host. I always leave the Noble feeling very lucky to live in Greenpoint And grateful that there’s still people out there like Rick that like to make a small neighborhood community driven restaurant. Look out for all of their weekend specials. The oyster pop-ups have been great, the live jazz is fantastic and I look forward to going in for a Spanish tapas night.

Everything here is perfection for me. I love the design of the whole place, especially the light concept in the evening. The service is really nice and everyone there makes you feel at ease. Almost like being on vacation just right outside my doorstep... I had the Mastic pudding today and loved it. Definitely will be back for it. It was not too sweet and had a really smooth texture. What an amazing little gem! 🧿 It's hard to find a good restaurant that offers a great and affordable wine menu. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and truly on point. The best part is the outdoor seating area. You can really feel that it's a family business, as everything is done with great care. This has become our new favorite spot!

Very good food but we were advised to get 4 dishes and definitely wasn’t enough. Sadly after an hour after first ordering we received the ‘larger’ dishes.. it was too late to order more. So, order more than 4 if you’re a late table! Also try sitting outside as it was crazy loud inside. Giving it 5 stars though as it delicious, not a high price point and the staff were lovely. They also had good non-alcoholic options for drinks.

If you find yourself in greenpoint make sure you stop by this quaint and charming restaurant. The food is incredible and the atmosphere and service are equally as great. the plates are small but sufficient with bold and contrasting flavours (perfect for sharing). We got the halloumi, octopus, arrayes and pea dip. Fantastic wine selection as well. will definitely be back here!!

Noble has a charming and welcoming ambiance that's perfect for a relaxing meal with friends. The food was fantastic, and the cozy decor really enhanced our experience. We especially enjoyed the live music, which created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening. It's definitely a place worth visiting for a great night out!

Ambiance is so cute. I really loved it the lighting. It's a great date night spot. Food - loved the arayes, octopus, and lamb! Service was decent. Prices were fair! Would definitely return

I visited The Noble on a Thursday evening and was able to sit outside without a reservation - the outside area is adorable and it's on a really nice quiet corner. The staff was extremely lovely and I loved the Zucchini Fritters. They have an awesome wine list and I will definitely be going back soon!

I live a few blocks away from the Noble and I feel so lucky to have such a charming, local, easy-going fantastic bistro with amazing wine just around the corner. I truly believe they have the best outdoor seating in Greenpoint. And the inside has a sense of sophistication and comfort That makes it easy to hang out at the bar and have a glass of wine or come with a group of friends and enjoy tapas and a large meal so many good things to choose from Rick the owner is generally there, and Nico is almost always behind the bar. Friendly, great atmosphere great service and a little easier on the wallet than most of Greenpoint.

Great food, wine list, service and ambiance. No major complaints would definitely come back. My favorite was the halloumi dish. We also had the crudo, chicken shish, and zucchini fritters. I thought all of the dishes were excellent. I didn't love the zucchini fritters texture on the inside though, probably wouldn't get that again. The wine list was great. I got an orange wine which was light and paired well. Definitely would come back!

A warm and lovely restaurant/wine bar with amazing service in Greenpoint! I came here with a friend on a Sunday evening with a reservation for 7:30pm. I was told that this is a new place that many local people are interested in checking out, so I'd recommend making a reservation just in case! We tried their sea bass crudo, beet taboulleh and branzino. Though a bit pricey, it was worth it because everything was amazing! We especially liked the sea bass crudo and branzino. Next time I come back I'd like to try some of their wine. Give this place a try if you want a healthy and enjoyable meal!

If I could give ten stars, I would! My partner and I held our small wedding and reception here about a month ago and the whole experience was stellar. Throughout the entire planning process, Rick, the owner, was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and helpful. He made great recommendations on food and drink, and his advice was essential in planning the day we hoped for. The event itself was perfect. The serving team was lovely and attentive, the ambiance was picture perfect, and the food was delicious. We ended up getting several passed canapes, and for the main meal, the salad, octopus, lamb, and cauliflower. People raved about the food! The wines were the cherry on top. We can't wait to revisit The Noble time and again, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering it for an event or even just a meal.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Skimpy portions, meh food dressed up as something fancy. Place was mostly empty and it was easy to see why

Great small plates, wouldn't recommend for a regular dinner. Stop by for a glass of wine and couple of plates before dinner to be realistic. Interior design is nice, and service is often good.

Food was absolutely decadent. Seared halloumi was amazing & so tasty. Perfect contrast with sweet (honey & peaches). Arayes were also amazing w/ the side sauce. Zoe, my waitress was incredible. She knew so much about the wine & described them perfectly to what we wanted. The food was amazing but Zoe's attentive & welcoming service really elevated this experience for me & my friend. I will definitely be back!

We came to The Noble for the first time do an anniversary date night -- the staff was accommodating and the food was amazing. We had the Baby Gem and Fennel salad and the octopus with andouille sausage (was off-menu), followed by the lamb. Our server brought us free olives on the house as well as 3 extra desserts after the meal (anniversary gift?) as a courtesy. Totally unnecessary but all 3 were amazing and the service was top notch. Will absolutely be returning for a special occasion again soon.

Beautiful space, good wine, okay food. I came prepared because I'd been warned the service is bad. I did not have a negative experience, although our server was forgetful and one of the other servers tried to swoop in with a plate of olives that ended up spilled everywhere. The food was just very inconsistent. I love octopus, but they serve theirs with a sauce that tastes like straight red wine vinegar - no balance at all and it ruined the dish if you dipped in it. The branzino is delicious, but my friend ended up with a mouthful of bones. The goat cheese dip was okay, but the crisps they serve it with are completely overpowering. My friends enjoyed the crudo. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food and service don't live up to the vibe or the price.

So happy to have found this gem on a beautiful tree lined Street. Everything about the place is really special - the decor and layout, the unique food and wines, and the cozy vibe! The owner was super friendly and helpful. We had the perfect summer meal with a crisp glass of wine. The corn salad was outstanding, the Crudo, the octopus and the Areyes were delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more.

Excellent restaurant. Very nice cozy vibe and atmosphere. You'd think it's just a wine bar (focused on Greek wines) and some small plates, but after two dinners there and having tried most everything on the menu, I can say that the kitchen is putting out really delicious and beautifully presented food. Literally every dish on two visits has been great. The owner is there most nights, and he and the bartender/waiter are great and very knowledgeable. The topper is that the cost is eminently reasonable for what you're getting. In an area with lots of great restaurants, this one holds its own and you should definitely try it out.

This place is great. Tucked away on a quiet corner on Lorimer / Noble street rather than on a busy strip like most restaurants in the neighborhood. Cure for a date night. Food was very fresh and the menu is well balanced, wine pairing recommendations were spot on, and the server we had was great, really topped it all off. Also felt like it's well priced compared to other spots in the neighborhood that are going for the same ~thing~. Dishes I can recommend: olives, sea bass crudo, sheperd salad, arayes, baised, lamb. We loved the chocolate torte. Happy to have a place like this in Greenpoint, will be back to try more!

I had a similar experience to others here who have posted about the owner, who is unable to maintain professionalism with guests. His rude behavior at the restaurant, the extremely limited menu and the high prices drove us away. When I left a negative review on Resy (which is not publicly viewable --only restaurant staff see them), he followed up over email to verbally attack me. Really unprecedented behavior by a New York restaurant owner!

Love this new spot. The atmosphere is so inviting! It's perfect for a date night or a night with friends. Food is incredible. Definitely try the octopus! Service was lovely -- Nicco at the bar is knowledgeable & Miles the G.M. is very kind and attentive. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Unreal experience. After finishing our mains and trying to flag down the server on multiple occasions for dessert (over a 30m period), the owner came over, implied we didn't have the right to order dessert, aggressively threw the remaining wine from our bottle into an empty glass and told us we'd overstayed our welcome. When we showed our surprise, he said "what do you want, something off the check?" When we replied no, he continued to berate us with increasing rage and told us to "just get out" and demanded we leave - gathering attention from other patrons who later felt the need to check in to see if we were ok on our way out. We were so excited for this neighborhood newcomer - but beware of the owner's anger issues. Note that we occupied the table for 1h 45m.

What a lovely little neighborhood spot! Perfect for date night or a wine night with pals and amazing food. The grilled Octopus and Sujuk is a MUST and the wine list was 10/10! Nicco was our bartender and he was so lovely to chat with and so knowledgeable about the menu! definitely will be coming back!

A new gem in the neighborhood! LOVED everything about this new spot-- the wine selection and the food are both to die for, especially loved the zucchini fritters, kofta and the tabouleh beet salad. The service was superb-- fast, friendly and polite. We were there for a group dinner, but I'm definitely taking my bf there as it's also a cozy date night spot.
