"The kitchen is on full display at Privateer Coal Fire Pizza—one of the few coal fired ovens on the west coast. In the 850-to-900°F heat, a high lip of crust rises over the shallows of marinara, confit garlic, red onion, broccoli, roasted mushrooms, bell peppers, and spinach in the vegan as-is Blockhead Pie. A zigzag of smooth walnut pesto finishes the pie. Call for curbside pickup or enjoy your pizza on the outdoor patio (limited seating). Delivery is available thought DoorDash as well." - Kelly Bone

Excellent, vibrant pizza joint with great ambiance. There's the wine side which has a more restaurant vibe to it then there's the beer side that is more down to earth with a bit louder music. Both sides are great for getting together. I think the wine side has more long tables for big groups. Food is great, especially when they serve it at the right temperature. I ordered the Margherita pie and the brixton pie. The Margherita pie was very tasty. It was definitely my favorite. The brixton pie was great also. Pepperonis were still crispy even after they got cold. If you come with friends, then chicken wing appetizer is a must. I picked the harbenaro sauce and it was just fantastic.

The pizza is really good. Great sauce, great oven. I do recommend you ask for easy cheese though. The mozzarella is so tasty, but they add too much to their normal pies. So ask for a about have the cheese and ask for the crust to be well done and it'll be be a 9 out of 10.

Tuesday Comedy night! Comedians awesome. Staff attentive and friendly. Packed house. Food was very good, complex flavors with solid execution. Minus one star as the actual seats are THE most uncomfortable seating that we have experienced in recent years out to dining. You need to get there over an hour and half early to get a seat and then the show is another hour plus. I needed the massage therapy-chiro visit the next day 😑 please invest in cushions.

We ordered fennel sausage Pizza and gf Margareta. Both were soggy, it did not taste at all like fennel sausage mater fact it was pink notceven cooked. No tomatoes on the Margareta either. Music was the best thing about this pizza place

Food was top tier, really great pizzas and pasta. They forgot one of our orders and rushed it out in about 5 minutes and took it off the bill, great way to handle a mistake. Front entrance area is a bit loud and bar-like for what the food is, but the wine area to the left is a much better vibe.

Went for dinner. Really cool place with cool and awesome staff. Staff was really humble and welcoming. They keep on coming to make sure if their guests are doing good. Very well speaking. Ambiance is quite interesting and hipster. They have given some new names to the food items in their menu, just to make it different, like pizza as “pizza pie”. So don’t get confused with the names of food items. We’ve ordered pizza, which was very great. Little costly but size was big enough to accommodate 3 people in one pizza. Great place to go with family and friends. Very near from Oceanside beach.
