"The Slice & Pint in El Segundo is a great place for a casual pizza night. It’s run by El Segundo Brewing Company, and draws heavy crowds for the excellent craft beer selection, brewed just up the block at their brewery headquarters—and plenty of pizzas, salads, and appetizers. The order-at-the-counter operation isn’t gigantic, but the communal tables are, and they’ll come in handy when your friends all have kids and therefore could show up at any point (or not at all). Slices are always available, but if you’re committing to a whole pie, our favorites are the Belle Isle (roasted garlic, arugula, and mushrooms) or the Benny (meatballs and pickled peppers)." - brant cox
"El Segundo’s mellow Slice and Pint offers some of Los Angeles’s best (and perhaps most unlikely) New York-style pizza, alongside a slew of locally made brews that offer a citrus-y IPA pop for before or after a long flight. Appetizers like fried mozzarella sticks, baked garlic knots, meatballs, and a convincing Italian chopped salad seal the deal. "The South Bay has a lot of pizza shops, but New York City-style pizza fans might find the best version at this busy brewpub, where the kitchen is almost always busy stretching out thin pies loaded with pepperoni, sausage, cheese, and other toppings. With a firm, gently crispy crust that holds its shape after folding, these slices will only taste better paired with a glass of El Segundo Brewing Co. craft beers. "El Segundo Brewing Company’s neighborhood pizza spot Slice & Pint is open for pizza and beer just off Main St. in El Segundo. We love the pan pizzas here, which are thick, doughy, and buttery, but regardless of what style of pie you get, they’ve got some really innovative toppings. The Crowntown (arugula, prosciutto, garlic, and Calabrian chili) and the pineapple-and-Spam-covered Rob’s In Maui are our favorites. Get some cheesy bread and a couple crowlers of beer (brewed across the street) while you’re at it. Available for pick-up." - brett keating
"Meanwhile in El Segundo, Slice & Pint is losing its outdoor dining area on Richmond Street at the end of December.
