The 20 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim | Eater LA

"It’s a controversial opinion but the pineapple Dole Whip isn’t all that great on its own. Add pineapple juice and turn it into a Dole Whip float, and this dessert goes into another stratosphere. The bright, acidic juice elevates the mild flavor of the frozen treat. For a different kind of kick, try the chile-mango whip, with pineapple and mango-swirled Dole Whip with Tajin, chamoy, and fresh mango. There’s also a spiked Dole Whip at Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel." - Julie Tremaine

The 25 Best Things to Eat At Disneyland, Ranked - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Location: Enchanted Tiki Room, Adventureland, Disneyland Surprise, surprise. The single most famous item of food at Disneyland is also the best, and if you come to the park without eating this glorious mountain of soft serve, you probably shouldn’t even tell people you came. Yes, there are lots of different flavors and add-ons these days (like the incredible chile-mango around the corner at Tropical Hideaway), but there’s still something so pure about the silky-smooth pineapple original. Whichever flavor you go with, just be sure to ask for a packet of the tajin to sprinkle on top. It’s salty, tangy, and takes this legendary dessert to a completely different level. *Only available through mobile pre-order." - Brant Cox

All the Best Things to Drink at Disneyland | Eater LA

"No visit to the park is complete without a Dole Whip soft serve. But to experience a refreshing beverage version, get it topped with pineapple juice at the Tiki Juice Bar by the Enchanted Tiki Room, Tangaroa Terrace at Disneyland Hotel, and the Tropical Hideaway, which gives the option of three different soft-serve flavors (mango, watermelon, or pineapple) for the swirl." - Caroline Pardilla

What to Eat at Tropical Hideaway, Disneyland’s New Tiki Fast-Casual Eatery - Eater LA

"Bao buns, cold ramen noodles, and raspberry flavored soft-serve are on the menu at Disneyland’s newest eatery, Tropical Hideaway, which opens Friday, December 21. Most recently an Aladdin-themed character restaurant, the space draws upon its early 90s heritage as the Tahitian Terrace. The space is oozing with tiki charm, complete with torch-lined pathways and a waterfall entryway." - Carlye Wisel

The Baseline: For theme park to-go food stands the food must be tasty, have an experience, reliable service, and be a part of the experience. Food: You are here for the Dole Whips! There are other items but I repeat… you are here for the Dole Whips. This visit was the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Dole Whips. WOW! Just… Wow! Best Dole Whip I ever had hands down. Little cakes bites with strong and awesome pineapple flavor. This is the stuff that will make me fat again. Love this and Disney please keep this on the menu. Service: Disney cast member service is super top notch service. Compliment you cast members on the Disneyland app as that is the Disney way to tip at non-sit down restaurants. Ambiance: Tropical Hawaii feels next to the Jungle Cruise with Fifi talking to you from her perch. Pure Disney magical feeling and it is great to be here at night with the tiki torches blazin’. Love the Tropical Hideaway!

Tucked away very pretty lots of seating. Seasonal dole whips, floats and soft serve. Had The matcha strawberry and pineapple upside down dole whip. Highly recommended

Google
The place of Dole Whip. Did a mobile oder and was very happy with the speed from check in to delivery 😀. The only down side is that it is hallow and thus only looks full in the bowl but has nothing in the middle. So while it is delicious is is disappointing feel as for $7.00 I should not have been hallow.

Google
I enjoy stopping in to see the seasonal dole whip. My favorite so far was the strawberry shortcake! I think they had it around valentines 2023. I hope they have it agian, it was so good! The regular dole whip is dairy free.

Google
This is a great place to unwind and relax! The atmosphere is fun and they serve Disney’s classic dole whip along with other treats. We got the lumpia and a pineapple guava dole whip float. The lumpia was a bit too salty but the dole whip float was delicious. The dole whip float had pineapple and guava juice at the bottom, topped with mango and strawberry dole whip and fruits on top. Delicious!

Google
The specialty Dole whips and Bao dumplings are something special. This trip I got the chamoy, tajin Dole whip and the pork belly Bao- so delicious 🤤 I'm still thinking about them the morning after. To enhance your tropical hideaway treats, eat them in the top of the tree house, right around the corner. Looking out over adventure land while eating something that touches all the buds is just unforgettable.

Google
GET THE CHILI MANGO WHIP. It's refreshing and definitely has a kick. Also I personally think it's such a good value for the price compared to all the other sweet treats at Disneyland. I was super full after eating this.

Yelp
Get the Dole Whip! To share it or not to share it, that is the question. It is so refreshing especially on a hot day... Find The Tropical Hideaway behind The Dole Whip Stand. Mobile Ordering is available on the Disneyland App. Or you can wait in line to order & pay. They offer food/snacks at The Tropical Hideaway... I haven't tried the food yet... There's plenty of tables & seats to enjoy your Dole Whip :)

Yelp
It was a hot Independence Day at Disneyland, and we took a break at The Tropical Hideaway for a Dole whip float ($7.29), a dairy-free frozen soft serve over pineapple juice. You can choose two out of three different flavors for the ice cream: pineapple, mango, and strawberry. I chose mango and pineapple. I think the Dole whip float is worth trying out, especially on a hot day. Despite the tangy flavors, it was still nicely sweet and refreshing. We also got the pineapple upside down sundae ($8.49), which was part of their seasonal offerings. The dessert had caramel and pineapple upside-down cake with a maraschino cherry on top. I wish I got that instead because it sounds really tasty. The line to wait took around five minutes, but you can place a mobile order. There are dispensers for utensils and napkins after you pay. It seemed like a lot of people wanted to cool off with a dessert because the only tables we saw open were under direct sunlight. We decided to just stand under the shade by a small bridge while we enjoyed our floats.

Yelp
The line at The Tropical Hideway may look long, but it moves quickly. The Dole Whip ($6.49) is one of the best things you can eat at Disneyland. On a hot summer's day, it's refreshing taste is the best! There are three different flavors you can choose - pineapple, strawberry, mango or a swirl of two flavors. If I had just stuck with the Dole Whip, I would have given this place five stars. I tried the char siu bao ($6.49) and it reminded me that I should stick to Asian restaurant for baos, which are cheaper and better quality. Skip the baos and get the Dole Whip!

Yelp
The Tropical Hideaway is our go-to spot at Disneyland to eat soft serve, sit, relax, and enjoy the tropical ambiance. The only thing is it's sometimes hard to find a table when it's busy. People tend to sit at tables well before getting their food, leaving others already with their food without a table. But other than that, it's always a treat when we stop by! I really like the mango chamoy and mango strawberry swirl. Would definitely get again.

Yelp
4+ small food area that feels like an outdoor cafeteria style ordering and purchasing (you wait in line to order food items and you take your tray to pay at a register). Also home to the famous Dole Whip within Disneyland. The people who gave us the food to the cashiers were all really friendly (pretty standard at Disneyland!) I've actually been here a while ago and I think I made a mistake by ordering the Dole Whip float the first time because I thought that was the 'thing to order' here. No disrespect, but I thought it was too sugary/sweet with the pineapple juice and soft serve for me. Glad I tried this place again and just stuck with the Dole Whip. I also ordered one of the baos as a snack. So now I'm for sure a fan of the Dole Whip (soft serve alone) and lime chicken bao was tasty. We had a large breakfast as part of my company picnic and our group had dinner plans outside of the park, so I didn't want to order or have a large meal for lunch. We also arrived a little after 1pm. The area was still crowded, but the line moved fairly quickly and we were really luck to grab a table as soon as we purchased our food. To give context, we were actually trying to get a bite at Bengal Barbecue (our first choice at the time), but the wait there was about an hour. So we just went here instead because it's not too far from Bengal and we were able to see the line/wait was a lot shorter.

Yelp
I wish I could rate The Tropical Hideaway higher but it's not well planned out at this quick service restaurant in Disneyland's Adventureland. Both the the layout and mechanics of how it runs don't seem to be fully functional here. And if the eats were amazing to make up for it all, all may be forgiven. However, you can't just throw a Dole Whip on your menu to entice people (Dole Whips are always 5 stars ofc) and then not deliver on anything else. Disney fans love dole whips and they preying on us here hahaha ~ I kid. But I was lured in by the matcha dole whip seasonal special all over the socials right now. I've been here before and remembered the baos that had minimal fillings, a whole lot of bao bun and not enough on the inside. I do not recommend their bao. Today my friend and I decided to share the Lumpia which they really shouldn't be calling lumpia. This wasn't bad but it sure wasn't lumpia. They are basically spring rolls filled with pork & veggies which when introduced were $6.99 and are now $9.49. The price point no longer fits the two small rolls. Now all is usually forgiven here because they offer Dole Whips. As previously mentioned, dole whips are universally good. They will also offer special versions here of which, I was suckered into one of the Seasonal Offerings. I had their Matcha Float which was a DOLE Whip® Strawberry and Mango Swirl, topped with White Chocolate Drizzle and Toasted Coconut for $10. We had a bit but it wasn't very good and had no matcha flavor except for a bunch of liquid on the bottom. It was not a good seasonal offering of the standard version. It was beautiful though - very instagrammable snack. It did not help anything that on Mother's Day they were not taking mobile orders. My friend overheard someone asking staff if they had an alternative to mobile ordering when it was down (I'm sure the answer is no but instead of a lovely disney answer), the cast member shrugged. For such a popular spot, they don't have enough seating at all. It's a very small seating area that even at 11am (not peak lunch at Disneyland) had people camping out everywhere waiting for chairs, sat all over the ground & stairs everywhere. They need to expand the seating area to better accommodate guests because it was adding to guests' frustration. The food is just subpar here with better options other places in the park. Get your Dole Whips at the Tiki Juice Bar.

Yelp
Came here to try the famous Dole Whip at Disneyland. Ordered both the Pineapple Dole whip in Pineapple juice and Mango Dole Whip. They were both tart and sweet and very refreshing. The mango didn't taste much like mango but it was still delicious. Overall, a great sweet treat to have especially on a hot summer day.

Yelp
5 Stars for the Dole Whip! Amazing taste and texture. Nothing beats a nice cold Dole Whip on a hot day at Disneyland. $6.49 for a single serving with many options for toppings, mixes, flavors, and seasonal items too. The food here though is a miss, and would not recommend getting. The baos are not soft, the filling is very small compared to the bun, and overall it's such a rip off compared to what you can find outside of Disneyland.

Yelp
I love coming here for the dole whip. All the flavors are delicious!! I had the seasonal Dole whip Float during Pixar fest which was really good, the P.O.G. Float is also really good. You can never go wrong with a Float here! I like the seating area because you can watch the jungle cruise boats go by.
google avatar

Yelp
5 starts.... The season concoctions are always a hit and the new Chili-Mango is a KNOCKOUT. 10 of 5 seriously, must try, slaps hard, MVP, no printer, whatever the kids say these days. WOW. That's all I got, ambiance here is great, where are your favorite colorful button up, and pretend you're in the Bahamas..

Yelp
Great place to get some soft serve after a long, hot day at Disneyland. The pineapple dole whip float had their classic/delicious pineapple dole whip soft serve but the pineapple juice in this float made it taste like there was just too much going on. Personally, I would stick to just the pineapple dole whip soft serve by itself next time I come here. I had the mango soft serve which was pretty good but not as good as its pineapple counterpart. Can't leave Disneyland without getting the soft serve here!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
We tried one of everything! All 3 dole drinks were outstanding. My favorite was the spicy mango one, but the matcha was a close second. I know that menu changes often but that mango dole whip is *not* to be missed. The kids like the tropical one best with the pog juice, it was def a classic. The bao and lumpia are an ok treat but not authentic and not a good value.

Yelp
Besides a churro, this is a staple spot to treat yourself when you visit. It doesn't matter if it's hot out or not you can never go wrong coming here! I love when they have specialty dole, especially the ones with fruit toppings. The lines can get long but they move so quickly that you don't even notice that's it's your turn to order. Oh and the baos are especially with the sauces. They are not oily, and packed full of meat. It's a great ratio between meat and bun. It's the one of the best spots to stretch your legs out on a hot day and slowly slurp or devour your dole. The talking birds are great features and you really feel like you are in the middle of a tropical island and tiki torches. Make it part of your to do list!

Yelp
The pineapple dole whip is a Disney staple. So of course during Halloween, trying the seasonal Monstropolis Float was a must. For some reason the online ap wasn't functioning for the hideaway, so we had to physically get into the long line. It took about 15 minutes to shuffle through. Ordering was easy enough. Pick up took another few minutes for the staff to assemble the float. Then we looped around the property until we reached the cashier. The tables were completely packed so we just had to eat them standing up. This spooky little edible critter was certainly a hit with the family. The little beady eyes consisted of blueberries nestled inside hollowed out lychee fruit. Small palm-like served as the ears. The body consisted of a pineapple mango whip with passion fruit coconut juice. The top of the head was drizzled with ube dust. The whip swirl was super tasty. Usually the pineapple is overly tart for me but the coconut pandan was able to balance the treat with a toasted vanilla sweetness. Adding the lychee was a home run. It was meaty with that combination of citrus, grape, and floral notes all rolled into one. And as much as I love ube, all it did was contribute to color palate of the float. For about $10, this was still something fun and new that Disney brought to the table. Eating it took you on an adventure to the tropics, even if it were only for a few minutes.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late night dole whip and can't complain! The flavor of the dole whip was amazing! They had three different flavor options and ways to customize the dole whip to make it into floats or have a loaded bowl. I opted for the plain pineapple dole whip, and it was a great sweet treat to end the night. They are not shy with the portion sizes either, and the staff are super super friendly. Definitely an iconic Disney treat that lives up to the hype.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
Best place for Dole Whip as it has normally 3 to 4 flavors on a given day. Pineapple, Strawberry, Mango and sometimes Lemon, Raspberry are seasonal or at other locations. I prefer The Tropical Hideaway since it's located right next to Jungle Cruise so you can hear the captains on their tours. There are tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your cold treat on a warm day. You can also get the dole whip in drink form with pineapple juice or a seasonal dessert concoction. They also have savory snacks like the Bao Buns, Potstickers, Miso Caesar Salad and Lumpia.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
The Tiki Juice Bar is the OG for the Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float. But, if you want to take it to the next level, just around the corner next to the Jungle Cruise, there's The Tropical Hideaway. They have the same offerings as the Tiki Juice Bar, as well as some notable upgrades. Flavor options include pineapple, strawberry, or mango--even the option to swirl flavors. There's several other options for desserts and snacks, but my favorite and go-to is always the Chile-Mango Whip with pineapple and mango swirl Dole Whip, Chamoy, fresh mango, pineapple and cucumber as well as chile-lime seasoning, or tajin. Perfect refreshment on a hot day in the park! The lines here can get pretty long--even longer than the Tiki Juice Bar--but the staff has service down and they keep the line moving quickly and efficiently.

Yelp
Haiku: The Tropical Hideaway Classic, Dole Whip treat Also quick snack items too Baos, floats & soft serves. --- Escape to a jungle oasis at the Tropical Hideaway. Enjoy sweet and savory treats among the tiki torches, a chatty parrot, and views of the Jungle Cruise. You can't go wrong with their famous Dole Whip pineapple soft serve. It's creamy, sweet, and the perfect treat on a warm day. It's always consistent in texture and taste. The Tropical Hideaway also carries seasonal soft serve flavors (orange, raspberry, watermelon) and limited edition desserts (Pixar Fest Pineapple Coconut Float & Halloween Monstropolis Float). Also, they have hot snack options like char siu bao and lumpia. The lines may seem long, but the service is sweet and efficient. Tip: You can order via the Disney app for pickup at the Tiki Juice Bar, but just keep in mind it's only for Dole Whip soft serve, floats, and juice. Also, dining at the Tropical Hideaway during the evening is magical and really adds to the relaxing ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
We love Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve sold just outside the Enchanted Tiki Room. We normally order via mobile app so it's ready for pick up. Quick and easy. One of our favorite things to do at Disneyland is food and treats hop. Every time we are here we make it a point to have our Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve or Dole Whip Float. Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve is just delicious. You can taste the pineapple flavor and it's not too sweet. It's a little bit of tart, a little bit of citrus yet it has the perfect balance of sweetness to it. The portions are also plenty.

Yelp
This was SO refreshing on a hot summer day! I got the chile mango whip, which was a pineapple mango dole whip swirl, topped with mango, pineapple, chamoy, tajin, jicama and cucumbers. It was sooo refreshing! I personally would prefer it without the cucumber, but it was still very tasty. This definitely elevates the regular dole whips! Would 1000% get again.
google avatar

Jerry P.

Yelp
What used to be where Aladdin was located is now a tiki shop that serves up a variety of flavors of the classic dole whip with the pineapple juice. My fiancé and I are magic key holders (annual pass holders is what I prefer to call it) and after spending a hot summer day gallivanting at DCA and Disney, we love slipping in here for a night cap (except it's nonalcoholic). Tonight we decided to steer away from the classic pineapple dole whip and got the mango chile whip instead. I was nervous at first since we absolutely love the classic, but my goodness was I surprised. There is so much flavor in this whip! The mango flavor is all there, the tanginess comes from the tajin rim, and the sweetness from the chamoy. The fruit gives it a nice texture and a fresh, crisp taste. It was such a treat, I may have found anew favorite. Now I'm more excited to try their other flavors like the strawberry and I believe they have a Pixar themed one as well. Can't wait to come back toward the end of the week! Give this place a try if you're at Disneyland.
google avatar

Jasmine D.

Yelp
Don't let the long line deter you from trying this place! Cast members are efficient and work hard to make sure the line moves fairly quickly. Had the Monstropolis Float, which is a Pineapple-Mango Dole Whip, with Passion Fruit Coconut Juice, topped with "ube dust" and decorated with 2 Lychee Fruit & blueberries (eyeballs!). All the flavored meshed well together, and was much needed on a warm Disney day. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Most People Don't Know, But, You Don't Have To Stay In Line To Order The Bao Buns & Egg rolls Located After The Dole Whip Line. Freshly Fried Egg Rolls, Freshly Steamed Bao Buns At Your Service. Such A Yummy Snack Hidden At The Tropical Hideaway. The Seating Can Be A Little Challenging. A Lot Of People Tend To Lounge At The Tables. The Dole Whip With All Their Different Variations Is A Total Hit On A Hot or Cold Day.
google avatar

Laurel R.

Yelp
Love the tropical hideaway the chili mango whip was so refreshing and delicious. Pro tip there's tajin to grab to add to your dole whip to spice it up a bit. It's nice to grab a table in the shade and enjoy your dole whip on a warm park day. The line can get pretty long but the service is fast and straight forward.
google avatar

Sammy B.

Yelp
Tropical Hideaway is a quick service spot in the Adventureland area at Disneyland. The theming is great with all the Island vibes and even a talking parrot. Here they serve different flavors of Dole Whip and some little snacks. I tried a seasonal offering which was pineapple Dole Whip with a coconut float and strawberry sauce. It was super refreshing on a hot day. I do wish they offered mobile order here because the line gets super long.
google avatar

Jaynar S.

Yelp
Wow! Amazing food and cool atmosphere. We loved the Char Sui Baos and Lumpia. The only con was the ordering process. There are different booths to order at. Super annoying and inconvenient if you have kids. Overall, it was a great experience.
google avatar

Britney M.

Yelp
What a lovely place to grab some ice cream! The setting is nice and relaxing. I love the water fountain at the entrance of The Tropical Hideaway. It sets the scene for a laid back kind of vibe while you enjoy your dessert. The service is great here. Everyone is friendly and pleasant. The ice cream is delicious. The Tropical Hideaway is an appropriate name. Because for a short time period, you can forget about all of the chaos at Disneyland. And just enjoy your treat! Big fan!! :)
google avatar

Christopher A.

Yelp
Had the chicken boa that I saw on TikTok. It wasn't too bad, has sort of a curry Indian food flavor. Not too bad.
google avatar

Danielle L.

Yelp
Line is confusing and not clear whether or not the food is only for mobile pick up or ready to order. Cast members stand around talking to each other without bothering to direct customers to a specific area to order. Customers are ignored when standing around and not asked whether or not they have questions or need help. (Specifically 3 men working the dole whip area). Overall the ordering process is confusing to anyone that hasn't ordered from here before. Location is hidden away from main walkway which could be a hidden gem as they are the only location that has different flavors of dole whip besides the normal pineapple flavor. Plenty of seats to eat and hot food that you can order alongside the desserts.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
If you've never had dole whip you have not done Disney right. This is a go-to stop every time we come to Disney. I'm a classic pineapple dole whip type of person. It's amazing and you can't go wrong. They have three flavors - pineapple, mango and strawberry that you can get as soft serve, as floats or in their tiki style sundaes. My boyfriend likes getting different things each time, this time he got the Monstopolis float, which is a seasonal item. It tasted very good. So I highly recommend stopping in to get your dole whip and then siting in the tiki style patio.
google avatar

Angel R.

Yelp
We got the monstroplis float, lumpia, and more! We got through the ordering part super quickly and were sitting and eating comfortable before we knew it. Great little area with nice food options.

Yelp
This ice cream was too pretty to eat! It taste refreshing. They had good service and helpful. The ambiance was quiet and calm with serenity/forestry vibes.
google avatar

Yelp
Always have to make it here for their amazing Dole whips. Everytime I come they have a seasonal dessert. For Halloween, they had a monsters inc themed dole whip. It had passion fruit juice and coconut powder. If you like coconut it was a nice touch. It's always so relaxing here. The only thing missing was the Jungle Cruise boats going by but it was closed for the time being.

Yelp
Date of most recent visit: January 6, 2024 Sometime, you just gotta have a Dole Whip at Disneyland despite the weather - and while the Tiki Bar near the Enchanted Tiki Room is iconic for it, the Tropical Hideaway next door also fits the bill. Originally the Tahitian Terrace way back when, then Aladdin's Oasis, this quick service stop serves various soft serve goodies, as well as interesting takes on bao and lumpia. On this stop, my fiancée had the Dole Whip Swirl Float with strawberry and mango ($7.29 pre-Magic Key discount) and I went with the Chile-Mango Whip ($8.49 also pre-discount); the latter is Disney's frozen take on the chamango, with pineapple and mango Dole Whip Swirl, chamoy, mango, and Taijin, oops, I mean, chile-lime seasoning. Both our treats were delicious, though we ended up walking to the Jolly Holiday to find a table... yes, seating here is at a bit of a premium, so good luck when trying to find a seat. The riverside views of the Jungle Cruise boats passing by are soothing, and don't forget to pay a visit to Rosita (the bird of paradise chilling on a crate and underneath an umbrella). With her bad jokes, I can see why she was banished from the Enchanted Tiki Room (and hence answers Jose's question of, "I wonder what happened to Rosita?"). Stop by the Tropical Hideaway if you have the chance... especially during the summer!
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Tried the mango chile lime whip which is from the loaded whip selection. Definitely loaded. It's a mango pineapple combination whip, topped with chamoy, tajin, and a variety of diced fruits. I tasted/seen pear, pineapples, cucumbers, and possibly mangos. It has a chamoy tajin rim around the cup and comes with a dried pineapple? piece. This would be sooo good and refreshing on a hot summer day. Advisory: the chamoy/tajin gives it a little kick. The staff here are fast, efficient, and friendly. There's outdoor seating and it can be hard to get seating during the extra busy hours. I give this treat a 4/5. It was good and I'm glad I got to try it but I'm not sure if I'd get it again. I'd definitely come back to try the other flavors and items offered here.

Yelp
Always great to stop here for dole whips but don't forget about the bao buns. We decided to try all three on this visit which means you get the dipping sauce for free. They have a chicken, beef and veggie. All the baos were cooked perfectly and the flavors inside were great but I think the veggie or the chicken were our favorite.

Yelp
Located in Adventureland near The jungle cruise ride, this is a nice outdoor area for sweet treats, ice cream and others. Assorted freezes and what not. And you get to sit outside right next to you the jungle Cruise ride which is pretty cool.

Yelp
This is a good place to get a snack, take a break and sit. We went around 2:30pm on a Saturday and there was a pretty long line (extended past the entrance). We got the pineapple mango swirl Dole whip & the Chile lime chicken bao to try. The dole whip swirl was a good combo and a nice light flavor. The bao was...interesting. It wasn't bad but it tasted like it shouldn't belong in a bao but it should be a soup or stew of it's own lol

Yelp
Despite growing up here in OC, I had never had a Dole whip float! WHAT I ORDERED: Dole whip float Mango and strawberry swirled Dole whip THE DOLE WHIP: The hype was real! Although seemingly simple (a pineapple soft serve on atop cold pineapple juice), the Dole whip float was such a refreshing way to take a midday break after walking around for a bit. The pineapple juice was perfectly tangy, although the dessert altogether was a little sweet. The mango and strawberry Dole whip were very unique, and I'd definitely recommend trying one of these non-pineapple flavors in addition to the classics. SERVICE: Very kind! The line is a bit intimidating, but moves fairly fast. VIBES: Definitely a great place to take a break with ample seating, though during rush hours you may not be able to find a spot. BOTTOM LINE: A Disneyland classic and a must!

Yelp
A Chile-Mango Whip next to the water is the most rewarding treat after a trip on the Jungle Cruise. You've got to love the setting, Adventureland is beautiful as it, and Tropical Hideaway matches the theme perfectly. These Dole Whips and some Char Siu Bao or Pork Lumpia, then off to the next!

Yelp
The line here is always long, so if you just want to get dole whip, do mobile order from the booth in the Tiki Room area. Dole whip is standard, but they do have special/limited flavors and toppings. Lumpia: the sweet one isn't that great. I wouldn't order again. The seating area is a bit limited, but I love how it's right next to Jungle Cruise and Rosita is surely entertaining.

Yelp
I got a pineapple dole whip and it was really good!! I recommend it to anyone here at disney looking for a cold treat. It's enough to share with someone but I would rather enjoy one on my own, lol. It's really good!

Yelp
Comfy, cozy little spot to sit back and relax while you enjoy your favorite Dole Whip creation. They also have Bao Buns with different fillings, snack items and drinks. It's located in Adventureland next to the Jungle Cruise, so while you're sitting there relaxing, give a wave to the folks returning from the jungle and welcome them back to civilization. The Tropical Hideaway is the place to be!

Yelp
We ordered the mangoñada which is a variation of the original dole whip with tajin, mango, cucumbers and a dried mango on top. It was sourly good and refreshing. We also tried the pork bao, also good. Must try all the different flavors of the original pineapple dole whip

Yelp
If you're ever at Disneyland, looking for a quick snack, or a cold dessert you're in the right place if you're at the Tropical Hideaway! The Tropical Hideaway is widely known for their Dole Whip (a dairy free ice cream), but they also do carry some Asian Inspired snack-y items. Dole Whip is dairy free and vegan, which is why I think it's feels more like a frozen yogurt, it is a bit less creamy than soft serve. I also feel like it's a little less sweet and has more of a tarty zing like a sorbet or a juice would have. Definitely refreshing on hot summer days of walking through the park, it's a great pick me up! When I was a youngin', going to get Dole Whip meant pineapple soft serve. Nowadays they have more options, lemon, raspberry, strawberry, and mango. You can now swirl flavors, make it a float by adding pineapple juice, or even grab a Chile-Mango Dole whip which includes Chamoy and Tajin. They also have a variety or Lumpia and Bao Buns. I have tried the traditional Pork Lumpia with a sweet chili sauce and they're super tasty. The Tropical Hideaway also often has seasonal offerings like a Blood Orange Whip, or personally I've tried the Valentine Swirl (cherry and watermelon swirl with heart sprinkles) and the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae (fresh strawberries, shortcake and strawberry drizzle). My current favorite items are the Mango Dole Whip, and the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. Prices here for desserts and snacks average $7-$10 tax included. There's often a line, but trust me, it moves quickly, don't miss out on this delicious treat!

Yelp
I'm somewhat new to finding out Disneyland had baos (steamed buns) and lumpia (egg rolls) since this place is somewhat tucked away and mobile ordering isn't an option here. I've seen reviews on the strawberry Dole whip sundae and had to try it. It's a special item not on the permanent menu along with a blood orange item I didn't give much attention to. It's strawberry dole whip with strawberry sauce, topped with shortbread crumbles. Rant coming -- I did not appreciate the sundae being handed to me with sauce dripping on the outside of the cup. I had to go to the next station to order food and then the cash register all the while with a sticky hand. Napkins weren't available till after the purchase. As a first timer, had I known I wouldn't have access to napkins till later, I would've had them clean it up when it was handed to me. /end rant Aside from that inconvenience, I did enjoy my sundae except would opt for less sauce next time. It got too sweet towards the end but the sauce did have real strawberry preserves in it. I also ordered a chicken lime bao and the bread part was nice and soft. I personally wasn't a fan of the herb-y flavor of the chicken but I was still able to finish it. Next time I will try the pork filling and perhaps the savory lumpia just to see how it stacks up to the lumpia I know. They do offer a dessert lumpia filled with banana but I know where to find this outside the park for cheaper. As far as seating goes, you can watch the Jungle Cruise boats come by on their return. If you're sitting along that edge, be mindful of the bird that tends to speak up every so often. I witnessed a group of young women that sat at the table right in front of the bird. When that bird talks, it's quite loud. It took them by surprise when it talked and one of the girls screamed; it was so hilarious. We all had a good chuckle.

Yelp
*** Vegetarian Review *** They had some new menu items so I had to try at least one. No magic key holder discount. Veggie Bao ($6.99, Grade C) - this is a bao with chickpeas and braised vegetables. Basically an Asian steamed bun wrapped around Indian Chana masala. The bun was tasty. Would have preferred it would be stuffed with some type of mushroom. The Indian part of the dish was just ok and I love Indian food. Wouldn't order this again. Maybe next time I'll try the dessert lumpia. And props for calling it a lumpia by the way Disney! Sidenote - with a banana filling, it would be called turon and it's hella good. Not sure what the pineapple filling would taste like, but sounds promising. Don't think it will overtake the churro anytime soon, but who knows. Bottom line. Always a great place to get away from the crowds and I never have a problem finding a table. Plenty of shade in the summer and covered outside seating during wetter months. Everyone comes here for the dole whip.
