VERDICT: Best pizza in Boise, especially if you're dining in. FOOD: I will admit I was skeptical of sourdough pizza, but this place has a very mild sour and the flake and crisp of the crust provides a second-to-none foundation for the excellently sourced and blended flavors they top it with. Their carefully curated options prevent the normal, boring ruts of meat lovers or supreme, and instead offer excellent takes on new flavors. Their salads are also to die for, with a peak freshness and bright flavors blending into the deeply rich dressing. I highly recommend the salad with the pizza. SERVICE: Always top-notch. Quick, attentive service without conversational interruptions. The staff know their menu well and can offer insights as well. ATMOSPHERE: Pretty swanky for a pizza place but I appreciate it being elevated from your standard pub fare to where it sits here-- a matured pizza experience.

Great food and atmosphere! Went with a toddler and they had a fun stick activity thing waiting for him, which was nice. The service was great the entire time, and our group of 5 only had about a 30-minute wait. We ordered a variety to share, and all went home full and with plenty of leftovers. Here is what we ordered: The Every Night Salad- a sweeter salad with apples, pecans, and vinaigrette. The Buttermilk Market Salad - cheesy, and the house ranch was amazing; the seasonal vegetable was bell peppers, which gave it a nice crunch. Note on both salads, we should have just gotten one to share. They were very large salads. House-made Ricotta - served with thick toast, a jalapeño/chile poblano, and a cranberry preserve. The bread that came with it was perfect to load up the ricotta and preserves without breaking while still being soft. The toddler in our group could not get enough and ended up taking the whole jar! Meatballs- the sauce was very bright with flavors from the tomato and basil, and the meatball itself was so juicy and tender. Highly recommend! Lasagna- incredible! So so flavorful and large portion that was just as good heated up the next day. The sauce was great and layered to perfection. Brussels sprouts- normally I don’t like Brussels sprouts but these were tangy and the hazelnuts gave it a very unique flavor. I really enjoyed them. Bronco Pizza- salumi with burrata was a great combination! A little spicy with the Fresno chili, but it has enough burrata to calm the spice. Hula School - added pepperoni to this pizza for the toddler, and he loved it. The charred pineapple with the pepperoni and candied bacon gives it a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Winter Estate- the sweetness from the pear/ balsamic balances out the saltiness from the Gorgonzola and prosciutto, but the real star of the show was the kale. Highly recommend this pizza! Star Chips- chocolatey cookies with ice cream. What else can you ask for! Salted Caramel Ice Cream Pie- large slice of vanilla ice cream with a graham crust, and peanuts, caramel, and fudge both on top and in the middle. It was a big dessert! Overall, will definitely be back for some pizza and that lasagna!

On a work trip to Boise and we were told about this hidden gem! Great quality food and tasty drinks. All the food pics are half eaten - bc the food was that good!! I ordered the Italian meatballs and the cauliflower with chickpeas for my appetizers. The meatballs came with fresh sourdough bread and a great marinara sauce for dipping. I ate every last bite of both appetizers. Then I ordered a pizza to go. 1/2 honey badger and the other 1/2 was a seasonal selection. Again, the pizza did not disappoint. I took it for lunch the next day. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. The wait was two hours when we arrived and they did not take reservations. We opted to sit in the bar to experience Wylder! Definitely would recommend if you so happen to be in Boise, Idaho!

It’s confidence baked into dough. The salads and small plates play their role perfectly — fresh, sharp, designed to keep you interested rather than full too soon. Service moves with the room. Quick when it should be, unhurried when it matters. No one interrupts the flow. You’re allowed to linger, to order one more thing, to change your mind. The Wylder isn’t just a pizza spot. It’s a rhythm. And once you fall into it, leaving feels optional.

Stopped by The Wylder recently for lunch and was really impressed overall. I went with the fried chicken sandwich and paired it with their house salad. The sandwich was crispy and flavorful, with a nice kick from the spicy mustard & apples and a soft bun that held everything together. The house salad was fresh and well-dressed—a perfect light balance to the richness of the sandwich. Portions were generous, and everything came out looking appetizing. Service stood out as a highlight here. Our server was friendly, attentive, and quick with refills and check-ins, which made the meal feel easy and relaxed. Even though the place was busy, we never felt rushed or overlooked. Atmosphere-wise, The Wylder has a casual vibe but is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The decor is modern but not over-the-top, and it felt like the kind of spot you could hang out in for a while. All in all, a great spot for a casual meal downtown. We came to this restaurant perhaps expecting too much. Service was great considering the busy lunch hour, wine was good, water tasted very clean and fresh, and the sourdough was excellent :) Unfortunately, the toppings on the pizza were disappointing. The Margherita pizza was oversalted, and the mushroom pizza was sopping wet. I don't think I'll go back, at least not for the pizza.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Easily our favorite restaurant in Boise. The Honey Badger white pie is unreal. They use a 57-year old sourdough starter for the pizza and it shows. Get a side of ranch to dip the crusts in. The buttermilk market salad was also a great starter. We didn’t get the Bronco pie or fried chicken, but if we’re back in the area, this will be our first stop. Dessert was delicious, but we were so full we only had a bite each. Good to go with a group.

Best pizza spot hands down!! We started with the buttermilk market vegetable salad per our server's recommendation and I highly recommend! The seasonal vegetables in the salad included broccolini and squash. So delicious. We also got the honey badger pizza and the crispy pepperoni pizza. My personal favorite was the honey badger. I give it all an A+ with no notes The atmosphere was warm and inviting. They had instrumental classic Christmas music playing which was fun and subtle. The service was good. I appreciate the recommendation our server made and she was very kind. Overall, I say this place is a must try!

Just a pleasant dining experience. We were visiting Boise from out of town and heard the Wylder had great pizzas. (they do!) But there were a few things I did not expect: 1) The wait - make a reservation or come early - it gets packed! But they have a efficient reservation system so it wasn't a big deal 2) The service is exceptional! Our server was kind and very attentive. Couldn't have asked for better service 3) The price - all of the prices are very reasonable. The value you get coming here is exceptional, which is likely why there's a long line. We visited on a busy Friday night and were told the wait would be about an hour, but luckily a few cancellations came through and our table for two was ready in just 30 minutes. The appetizer menu looked incredible, so we decided to share the fingerling potatoes, roasted cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and mushroom toast. Everything arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious, our favorites were the mushroom toast and the fingerling potatoes! For our main, we ordered a half Margherita, half Gem State of Mind pizza (with fingerling potato and caramelized onion). We're not vegetarians, but we somehow ended up with an all-veggie dinner and everything was perfect. The only thing I didn't love was the watermelon mint cooler, which tasted more like juice than a specialty drink, though it was still refreshing. To top it all off, the restaurant was playing 80s music all night - our era! (Yes, showing our age a bit.) Our waitress mentioned the playlist changes often, so we just lucked out. It was the perfect start to our Boise weekend of great food and sightseeing!

I'm glad we came in earlier before lunch rush! It was so busy on Friday afternoon! This is our first meal in Idaho, first time in Idaho and we had very early flight. It did not disappoint!! Our server was sooo sweet and so positive. The whole restaurant looked so clean and it's such a vibe for cocktails and date/girls date or work lunch. We got fingerling potatoes! And oh wow!!!!! 10/10!!! I love that they included different types of potatoes in there. I like the purple one the most! The dipping sauce is so tingly and filled with lemon flavor. The potatoes seasoned so well! It's very good to know that's you can order 2 different flavors for one pizza. I was debating between mushroom party and honey badger! The server recommended the honey badger! But I wanted; to try both! And she just recommended I can order both in one pizza! I personally think the honey badger was okay, it's not really my favorite. But the mushroom party on the other hand omg!!!!! I should have ordered the whole thing in mushrooms instead!!! It's filled with mushroom flavor and so juicy! I don't really like the crust! It's y very hard and dry. My husband loved his crispy pepperoni so much but he also didn't like the crust! Overall I love this place and can't wait to try more if we even visit Idaho again someday!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! The pizza here is SO GOOD! They do have limited options but truly you cannot go wrong it is so good whichever you get! The service is pretty fast considering how packed they always are and they have a full functioning bar that is also very popular! There is both inside and outside seating but genuinely this pizza is so good you have to try!

Had a little weekend trip to Boise and discovered this place and omg I'm so mad I don't live close to it! It's sooo good we went twice on our trip. The pizza crust was phenomenal and the toppings paired beautifully with each other. The crispy Brussel sprouts are also so good as well as the kale caesar. The inside is nice to sit at as well it's very cute. I want to come back to Boise just for this spot!

Can't recommend this place enough! Price point is beyond excellent We shared a meal for three and it was all under $60! That's unheard of in this day and age! The aesthetics of this place are top notch and so is the service! We got seated instantly without a reservation Ordered two apps and one pizza! One of my friends doesn't eat pork so they server suggested they can switch it up with mushroom on half the pizza and leave sausage on the other half for me! Their salads are crunchy and fresh! Their Brussels sprouts were delicious and there was no pizza left on the table! Must try if you are visiting or local to Boise

Not only is The Wilder my top choice for downtown Boise dining, but the ambience, service, and food are all top-notch. Not to be biased or anything, but the sourdough-crusted pizza is incredible. Their lasagna and salads go above and beyond all my expectations

Great spot for a date no matter if you're a married couple, a first date, or in the friend zone. Not a great spot to watch TikTok videos though, nor is any restaurant. Someone should have told that to the table to Jimi's right. Get the pizza obviously! And fear not folks, if your pizza happens to come with a hole in it, they will make you a new one. There was no issue with Jimi's but the staff let us know about this policy. 5 stars

Went here for a date and should have made a res but luckily we were able to eat at the bar. We got some meatballs, brussel sprouts, and honey badger pizza. They were all amazing! We didn't know we could get a pizza half/half or we would have tried another as well. The only miss was the butterscotch ice cream pie-it was just okay ice cream with syrup on top. Other than that it was amazing, we will be back!

GREAT food! We started with the citrus glazed wings and they impressed the whole table. They were charred to perfection. I got the mushroom toast (which was DELISH) and the others in my party got pizza. The pizza was fantastic as well- the classics (pepperoni, margherita) were elevated in flavor but still true to their roots.

Great service. Nice and cool in a summer afternoon after a hike at camels back. Delicious and hot sourdough pizza from the oven. I would say my fav is the crispy Brussel sprouts with balsamic though. Nice and crunchy and flavorful.

Wylder is amazing! Live coming here! The food is great (try the fried chicken dinner sometime and not always the pizza!). The staff is inviting and friendly! Great place to bring out-of-towners!

This was our first time trying this place, and we weren't disappointed. It came highly recommended by friends. It was busy, at 2pm on a Saturday, but we weren't disappointed able to grab two seats at the bar. We had drinks and two pizzas, the crispy pepperoni. Fantastic pizza - maybe the best we've had in Boise. We will definitely be back. It's expensive, but worth it. If I were to change something, I'd change the way people pile up inside the door waiting. They could use a little more room for those that are waiting, but other than that, very good restaurant.

The Wylder is truly a gift to Boise. The first restaurant of the Wylder Group offerings, it continues to shine amongst all the other excellent restaurants shipped by this entrepreneurial couple. I like so much about this place. It's consistently great. I've never had subpar food here. My husband and I always try the seasonal veggie because they do them so well. The last two that stand out were roasted radishes on hummus and crispy acorn squash on goat cheese. Couldn't get enough of either! The menu is tight and concise. A few salads, veggies, entrees and pizza. But all is done well! Recently had the citrus harissa wings and the sour and spicy notes really hit. We've had several pizzas but the Honey Badger continues to be our favorite. The onion, sausage, honey combo crafts a well rounded flavor profile. Could eat this one on the regular. Vibe of the place is chill. Not overly loud but it can get super packed during weekends. It's worth the wait though. Service is competent and attentive. The whole operation moves with a smoothness indicative of good management and happy staff. One of my favorites. It's likely to be one of yours, too. Get there!

After learning our lesson from trying to arrive after 5pm a couple nights before, we made it a point to get there around 4:30pm and were seated immediately- definitely a good move because this place is popular! I was initially unsure about the mushroom toast, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. A mix of mushrooms in a creamy sauce on perfectly toasted bread- it was delicious. The crispy brussel sprouts were another hit, cooked just right without being overly charred or too sweet, which can often be a risk. One of the best parts of the experience was that they allow you to split pizzas, so we got to try four different combos. Our table agreed that the Gem State of Mind was the standout, followed by the Bronco. As a fan of thin crust pizza, I was thrilled with how crispy and light the crust was, even with all the toppings. Definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the mood for great pizza.

Well, why haven't I been here yet! I am a big fan of the Percy and I know these two spots are the same owners...I guess that is why I wasn't rushing to try this (new to town)! Walking around on a nice Sunday and I thought I would stop in for a drink and a bite to eat! Great space, open, bright and full of people enjoying the day...nice patio area, small but ok. I sat at the bar and grabbed a drink to look through the menu...great menu. Some simple dishes that will appeal to many along with some very interesting tastes that are more refined...I kept it simple with a few appetizers. The simple things are done right...something simple like Cauliflower with chickpeas...great flavors and texture, a really tasty dish! I can see about a dozen things I want to try, will have to come back for a date night and get a table. Pizza looks amazing too BTW. Look forward to the return, many of them. KT

This pizza gluten free pizza was so yummy! It made my tastebuds very happy. The lady waiting on us was so friendly and communicative regarding our order. Restaurant was clean and easy to get to. Thankful we stopped in when passing through.

I came in at 5 on Sunday and the place was chock full. It's full because it's good. I had the Cacio Pepe and the asparagus. They were both tasty. If I weren't alone I would have ordered a pizza but I was so I didn't.

Solid Italian spot in downtown Boise - you'll see by the line out the door! We came on a busy Saturday for lunch and we opted for the dog-friendly patio We started with the meatballs which were delicious! There were so many options to choose from but the star is definitely the pizza! We loved that you could do half/half so we tried 4 different pizzas! We tried the bronco, honey badger, margherita, and the pepperoni. I think my favorite was the pepperoni - a classic! Portion sizes were great and we had enough leftover for lunch the next day. Street parking nearby was easy to find. We'll be back!

This restaurant is a fun one to go to! We got three apps (Brussel sprouts, wings, and meatballs) and each were pretty delicious. Got the crispy pepperoni pizza and the dough is amazing! Sauce is delicious. Really enjoyed the pizza. The service was good but it being so busy felt a little chaotic. But still taken care of really well. Atmosphere was good. Has a nice outdoor seating experience too. Prices a little high but worth it. I'd give it a 4.5 if i could. But well worth a visit.

I did not know what to expect from this place but the food was good. Service was very friendly, but parking was a pain. This city has a lot of 1 way streets so it was frustrating looking for a place to park. There were alot of private parking areas as well. I ended up parking about a block away luckily in a non paying spot. They do not seat parties unless all have arrived. Menu is not too overwhelming. The plates are shareable. The bathroom was very clean. Plenty of seating and enough space around you for someone who is disabled. All in all a good place.

Amazing pizza in boise, its a busy popular spot so ended up getting take out and that was the way to go. The pizza is soo good, chewy light dough/crust and the topping were sooo on point and paired well. The sides were also well done. Totally recommend and will have to go back to try them in person but the take out was sooo good.

The Wylder is a popular downtown Boise restaurant that serves pizza, salads, sandwiches, and craft cocktails. I had the best late lunch here!!! Came in around 2:30 pm on a weekday and there were plenty of open tables. The ambiance was modern and casual. Our first order was the mushroom toast (mushroom, creme fraiche, garlic) which promptly came out warm and beautifully plated. We ordered two hals and half pizzas so we could try four types of pizzas. I loved all four. Each were so unique and well balanced in flavor. I tried the mushroom party, honey badge, bronco, and farm girl. I can't wait to come back! Recs: - They don't take reservations! Come during off hours or order takeout to avoid a long wait. - If you are stuck with a long wait, head next door to Form & Function for a coffee or Boise Brewing for a drink - Order half and half pizzas if you want to try a variety - The mushroom toast is a must! - The Wylder is run by the same people who run Certified Bakery​, The Roosevelt Market​, Wyld Child​, and Percy - check out these spots out if you enjoyed The Wylder!

I wish Yelp! made 1/2 stars possible - in the case of Wylder, I likely would have gone with 4.5 stars, but rather than drop down to a 4, I chose to promote my rating on my first visit to a 5. Environment & atmosphere - Wylder is tucked into a nice, easily accessible part of downtown Boise. Several parking options exist directly across the street and along the streets nearby. Parking is a variety of metered spots on the street (depending on the time of day), or self-paid lots. All were very well lighted and safe. Located at the ground floor of a newer multi-story residential building, Wylder occupies one full corner. Good views from nearly every table, and those facing away from the street are treated to a view of the very active pizza oven area of the open kitchen. The vibe within the restaurant immediately reminded me of a similar feeling while dining at Grange in downtown Sacramento. A lot of social interaction but not so much that you could not hold table-boundaried discussion easily. The wait staff worked together and were proficient. Our server was knowledgable with all angles of the menu, albeit not a huge menu, and we appreciated her input and her reposnse to our questions. Wylder serves the table in a somewhat hybrid of family-style dining. Our table of four chose two pizzas and two salads - each made for sharing. The two salads, "Buttermilk Market Vegetable Salad" (seasonal vegetable, white cheddar, house ranch, apple cider vinaigrette) and the "The Wylder Chopped" (provolone, salami, crispy chickpeas, oregano vinaigrette), were served first. Each salad was easily enough for three diners. Both salads were noticebly fresh and tasty. I thought the crispy chickpeas were a nice textural touch on the chopped salad - a crouton stand-in if you will. Our attentive server checked on our salad progress and held off having our pizzas fired until the appropriate moment. Delivery to our table dovetailed nicely with the finish of our salads. Two fresh pizzas were served - the "Honey Badger" (Italian sausage, ricotta, caramelized onion, spicy honey) and the "Gem State of Mind" (fingerling potato, caramelized onion, rosemary, sage). Each pie had eight slices, was thinly crusted, and nicely presented (pictures included). Each slice was generous and definitely shareable for the table. The slices were thin enough to be foldable ala New York style, not flimsy however as each bite was sumptuous. I have enjoyed a similar "Bee Sting" pizza at Proof in Star, but this "Honey Badger" at Wylder is really the model for all the others. Most-noticeable for me was the immediate flavor recognition of every ingredient listed in the menu. The caramelized onion and sausage melded wonderfully but at the same time were distinctive in each bite. The creamy ricotta seemed to balance everything in a smooth way. While I would have enjoyed a spicier honey "bite", the finishing touch atop this pizza was great. I would return to Wylder if only for this pizza. Our dining partners had the "Gem State of Mind". The entire concept of this pizza is cool - where else do you want to see spuds on your pizza but in Idaho? Their only negative comment was that the pizza needed at least one ingredient that brought a little more moisture into each bite - perhaps ricotta or another soft cheese. Tastewise they were really pleased - again the caramelized onions were tremendous and the thinly sliced potatoes appreciated. All in all, two really good pizzas. So pleased with our first visit to Wylder - looking forward to a return visit, as well as trying out their other associated restaurants in the Boise area.

We visited Boise (soccer team) about 3 years ago and the management team seemed bothered by us having a group of 30 and didn't want to sit our group. 3 years later totally different we walked in had a group of 24 and we were sat right away and the service was impeccable!!! From start to finish service was amazing. The food was amazing! By far one of my favorite pizza spots....just wish they were in Los Angeles as well!! Highly recommend this place when in Boise!!

Great pizza spot in Boise with a nice outside area. While in Boise, I met with friends here and we shared a few pizzas. The hot honey is delicious and is an amazing dipping sauce for any of the pizzas! The Cesar salad was also amazing!

We got the bread appetizer that cost $12.00 oh that I expected exceptional bread, but we got so so bread that was hot on the outside and ice cold in the middle we told them about it and then we had to ask to have it removed from the bill. My wife had an amazing salad and my chicken sandwich was just ok, but I don't think I'd go back again.

I adore the pizzas here, as they are made with sourdough pizza crust, which just takes them to the next level. The ingredient combinations on the pizza are also unbelievably synergistic....the Honey Badger is a favorite of the the family, but it's hard not to love them ALL? They put a spin on every single one. Take your average Hawaiian...they use CANDIED bacon, PICKLED jalapeños, and CHARRED pineapple. It changes everything, these little details. And, if you love mushrooms, try the mushroom toast, but I recommend sharing it, as it deliciously rich!! Every time I've been there, every single hostess, server, etc. has been ridiculously friendly, funny, accommodating, and wonderful in every way. I do recommend reservations as this place gets cracking' for dinner, and it's small, so it fills up quickly. And, trust me, you don't want to miss out on their amazing food!!!

First time at this awesome restaurant Will definitely be back! We sat at the bar and expertly taken care of by Sammy who was so nice and helpful with her recs. We had a salad with buttermilk dressing which was delicious, the seasonal veggies which were radishes in a pesto sauce. So great. And then Yaya's pizza. The pizza was amazing, especially the crust. Great ambience and friendly people all around. So happy we came here!

Been here a few times. Always a great experience. Staff is always nice and friendly. Have tried the pizza, wings, meatballs and a couple of the salads. All were excellent. Best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Cool setting with a great open kitchen and bar setup.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had, but it goes beyond just that. The salads are incredible and SUCH good value. A great place to pick a few things and share with a group. The cocktails are great and the ambiance is wonderful. Light, bright, clean, modern, and inviting! Not overly fancy or overdone, but very welcoming and nice. They do not take reservations, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it is worth it!

No doubt phenomenal food and ambiance. Love the outdoor seating. Followed the recommendations hot honey pizza blazing! Bourbon deflection is solid too. Very good local spot to impress out of Townes. Mushroom toast watch out it is legit and so unique. Yum yum yum. Please open other locations.

Came in around 6pm and sat at the bar. Great service with the bartender explaining the menu and what they're known for. Bartender was able to make me an off menu cocktail before I switched to one of the Japanese whiskeys they had, which were more than fairly priced. High quality food for a not so crazy price. Meatballs were soft and the sourdough on the pizza was excellent. They are known for their dough.

We're from California, and are visiting our daughter and husband. We've been in before, but this time we ordered our meal to go, and were able to enjoy it at home. The Honey Badger has to be one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. Pair that with a salad, and contentment settled in.

Delicious food and outstanding service. Our server was just delightful, it was as though she loved working there. What a refreshing change from a service industry person since pre-covid.

This place is a must stop when in Boise. Caesar kale is amazing. The dressing is mild and flavorful. Chopped salad is also a must. But, I would highly recommend the bronco pizza. Somali and burrata topping. The pizzas here are a must. The wings are also very tangy and delicious. The seasonal special was heirloom tomatoes and goat cheese. A great suggestion. Enjoy!

My daughter and I found The Wylder when we were killing time before her flight back to Santa Monica. Parking was easily acquired on the street. Downtown Boise it has an urban bar bistro feel. We were seated quickly and greeted by a cute waitress who was friendly and efficient. We ordered the kale Caesar to split prior to our pizza. The Caesar was a blend of kale and romaine lettuce with a perfectly balanced lemon tahini dressing and croutons. Not overly heavy dressing. Next for our pizza we had half Honey Badger and half Farm Girl with basil. I have to say the Honey Badger was a clear winner here. What a delicious balance of flavors. Yum! I can't wait to eat the leftovers tonight! The only downside was it was a bit noisy. I will have to bring my husband when the weather is nice enough to sit outside. He would not appreciate the loudness. For that reason I can't give a five star review. But I do love this place. I will be back Can't wait to try mushroom toast and other treats as well.
