"A highly sought-after seaside chiringuito overlooking a picturesque Costa Brava cove that serves simple, superbly executed beach fare—fresh fish, fried seafood and wood-fire paella—with a pronounced smoky finish and a house white grenache; bookings often fill weeks in advance due to its stunning setting and reliably excellent cooking." - Isabelle Kliger
"There's a place in a little village in Costa Brava next to the sea called Toc al Mar. I love to order their local red scorpion fish in the summer season." - Marisel Salazar
The food is extremely expensive for the portion sizes. I wouldn’t mind paying the price if the food were worth it, but the lack of flavor and seasoning in the dishes made it frustrating. The service was quite good.
But then you look at the food: for example, five tiny shrimp cost 29 euros. Yes, twenty nine euros for five little shrimp! Despite being made with fresh seafood, the dishes were bland and overall felt pretty average.

This restaurant was recommended by a local to Costa Brava and the food was wonderful!
The oysters were lovely, the grilled vegetables with romesco sauce were incredibly tasty, as were the prawns and octopus. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff were also very friendly.
Make sure to reserve for dinner!

Outstanding, beautifully cooked, service was nice and with an amazing view. Paella and razor clams were great, the apple tart I had as a dessert was unique but tasted wonderful. Good recommendation.

The octopus was madrigal paired with a 2020 bottle of the appropriately titled pulpo. Nothing was amiss here and the food came right out super fast, I could not believe the speed !
Nothing bad to write on, I would have to really really think to come up with a criticism.

Fantastic experience - such an efficient yet welcoming staff - the fish was excellent and the view and location like something out of a Fellini movie.

Stunning location with below average food! We have been here several times but are no longer enthusiastic of their food.
Tthis time I had the razor clamps as a starter. Those were close to chewinggum. With €24 it is too expensive for what you get.
Bread with tomatos was good, same for the anchovis.
As main I had the beef skewer with pilaf. They must have thought: less is more! The sauce was missing, as were the vegitables. Meat was not tender. Too flat in favor in general.
All in all the company made up for what the food was lacking. The service appeared to be tired of the season, very hasty to get all customers out before 2100h.

Yelp
Right on the beach with excellent service. But how is the food? Well if you like fresh fish it gets no fresher. They will bring the available fish to the table you pick the one you want they weigh it and that's that. The fish are usually of a size (around 1kg or so) so it is meant to be shared. They grilled it over an open fire sprinkle some excellent olive oil and some sea salt along with potatoes also grilled. They perfectly debone and present a gorgeous couple of fish fillets. A very fresh fish perfectly grilled.
For an appetizer we tried a local fresh cheese served with olive tapenade and anchovies and an excellent crusty bread. Amazing! They have a very good wine list. We tried their house rose wich was cold and crisp and very well priced, overall a wonderfully place for a great meal. If you love chocolate try the profiteroles.

Yelp
Advance reservation is required if you want to sit outside.
The avocado salad, Tar Tar, Grilled Mussels were THE BOMB!

Yelp
Fresh seafood place right off the ocean. They bring the just caught fish to you before eating. We had sea bream, fire grilled veggies, pear salad, and baked bread with tomatoes. All were good but the bread was a tad dry. All was good but certainly felt overpriced due to being the only restaurant available on this isolated island. There are other options if you drive farther although this is a fun spot where you can step on the beach before or after your meal.

Yelp
Had a good set menu of starters small fish, mussels, tomatobread and cold cuts. Main was a good seafood paella. Fruit and icecream for dessert. Good price at 21 euros per person with a glass of wine per person. Well worth the price, and we were stuffed.

Yelp
This "off the beaten path" establishment is an authentic Mediterranean dining experience all around! Amazingly fresh fish locally caught, great and fast service and wonderful atmosphere right on the beach with great views. Cannot recommend highly enough, a "must" if you are in the area! A bit pricey, and word is that they are crowded in the peak season, but worth it!
