The Best Sushi Restaurants Around Atlanta

"This lavish sushi spot inside the the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Buckhead offers a lunch, bar, and chef’s menu. Go all out with the 24k roll made with shrimp tempura, asparagus, A5 wagyu, garlic chips ito togarashi, black caviar, ponzu sauce, and, of course, 24k gold flakes. The creative menu earned Tomo a spot in the Michelin Guide in 2023 and 2024." - Eater Staff

The 12 Best Sushi Spots In Atlanta

"This quiet Buckhead Japanese restaurant looks and feels like a straitlaced corporate lunch haven—and it is. But other than those using Tomo as an excuse to expense wagyu steaks and platters of very good sashimi, this place is a great option for folks who want a high-end sushi restaurant with the menu range of an izakaya. Get your usual sushi favorites, and also try some specialty maki rolls like the spicy crab with garlic pepper toro, which has a light sear on the fish to bring out the flavor." - juli horsford, nina reeder

Tomo

"This spot, at the bottom of the chic and modern Ritz-Carlton Residences, is a contemporary space where floor-to-ceiling windows make a big impression. In addition to tables and a sushi bar, there are four seats reserved exclusively for the omakase, arranged well in advance of your visit. Slightly Americanized, the chef's tasting menu offers eight plated courses before progressing into sushi. One dish, chu-toro nuta, presents three pieces of lightly seared tuna in a miso and rice vinegar sauce, balsamic reduction, crumbled pistachio and seared scallions for a rich and satisfying plate. Sushi, such as the decadent and flavorful kawahagi, is equally impressive." - Michelin Inspector

Intimate space. Not too large. Beautiful full bar area. Expansive and creative sushi menu. Excellent service. Reservations are recommended if you’re visiting during peak periods. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Paid parking adjacent. It has become one of my ATL favorites.

We booked a last-minute birthday dinner for my wife here and left genuinely impressed. I'd always assumed this place was just another fancy restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton Residences, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The space is elegant but not all that pretentious, and the service was warm and attentive. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. Every dish we ordered brought something unique—nothing felt standard or predictable. All in all, a memorable evening. We'll definitely be back.

Google
I had lunch at Tomo. We got the fried oysters, seared tuna salad, dashi, and fried veggie tempura as appetizers. The melon tempura was wonderful. We also got several pieces of sashimi, but that tuna was the best of them all. The dessert selection was what truly surprised me. The matcha tiramisu and passion fruit cheesecake were bomb. The yuzu sorbet was perfectly tangy. Also, here are menu prices because I kept looking before visiting and even called and could not get actual numbers. My curiosity got the better of me and I went anyway. I am glad I did!

Good food = good mood! I loved how their represent the food, and all that i ordered come out fresh, would like to try the omakase for next! 🥰

Google
I went here for Mother’s Day and it was decent. They offered a AYCE sushi from the selected menu for $125 but opted to just get the chirashi. The fish was pretty good and overall dish was good. Only thing is the group gratuity added was 23% which is pretty high but since it’s a nicer spot okay.. but they added a credit card surcharge of 3% which I wasn’t aware of until I got the bill after paying. I can’t think of the last place I went to that charged that.

Google
We recently dined at Tomo Japanese Restaurant and had a great experience overall. We tried the Japanese snapper nigiri, fatty tuna nigiri, 24K roll, and jalapeño crab. Most of the items were fresh and well-prepared, with the fatty tuna being our favorite—melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The presentation was top-notch, and the service was friendly and attentive. However, the nigiri pieces were smaller than expected, and the rice-to-fish ratio felt off, making the flavor less balanced. Some dishes, like the 24K roll, looked stunning but lacked depth in taste. Also, while the ambiance was nice, the seating felt a bit cramped during peak hours. That said, it's still a solid spot for sushi lovers, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Google
UPDATE in April: I still cannot look at or eat sushi. The restaurant remains quiet on the debacle. We ordered dinner delivery on NYE on the earlier side. We wanted to treat ourselves to the "best sushi in town." Well, what we got was $100 of inedible, disgusting, and hazardous non- "sushi": hack job on the salmon and the yellowtail (did they have the dishwasher butcher sashimi-quality fish? because I have not seen this cut before at even gas station sushi selection); scale and bone found in salmon avocado roll (almost accidentally swallowed: again, who cleaned and butchered this fish at a top sushi restaurant)? Yellowtail cuts had connecting tissue on that. You can see photos. We were so disgusted by this that we could not touch the rest of our order, and we won't be able to enjoy sushi for a long time because of this unsavory experience. It used to be one of our favorite dishes, and this place ruined it for us. Door Dash immediately refunded our money on account of "food preparation issues," but we also informed the restaurant and were told to expect a call from the manager/chef. We have not received a call or an apology. I am not sure how this got through; I just wanted to make the restaurant aware of this. Very disappointing.

Google
I came here with some friends for my birthday and decided to go with the tasting menu which included a wide chef's selection of small plates that added up to about 6-8 courses, we enjoyed a variety of things including waygu, raw oysters, salad, dessert, sashimi selection, and sushi. Everything was very good but I only wish that there was less time between courses as it felt like there was often a lot of down time between one plate and the next, I also wish there was more sushi incorporated into the tasting menu. Regardless, it was all very delicious and found the fatty tuna to be my favorite, even more than waygu.

Yelp
Small business with big flavor! If you're looking for an upscale sushi restaurant in Atlanta, don't pass this one up. Most recently I had the pleasure of enjoying their limited experience, Tuna Tuesday, where a yellowfin tuna is shipped in from Osaka, Japan. The tuna is 100% sustainably raised from the egg at Kindai university. We watched the fish being cut for the freshest sushi. They put real wasabi between the tuna and rice-- it bites back! At this restaurant you will noticed the difference real wasabi provides. We also ordered the 24k roll--it's one of my favorites. Another good roll is the tomo roll. Sometimes they offer truffle on items if they have it. As far as service, they do an ok job. The small way they go above and beyond is that they do notice if you've been waiting too long for something you ordered and provide quick solutions to temper the wait of the sushi bar. This small restaurant is worth your big bucks if you're looking to experience upscale sushi. Plus, they make a perfect espresso martini! P.S. As far as parking is concerned, I'm not sure about it since I walk to this place. However, they do offer valet.

Yelp
I was so excited about trying this spot after finding it on a list with Michelin star restaurants and recommendations, but it was not great. The real Cali roll was ok, and the lobster roll was pretty good. Both were overpriced for lunch portions. The sashimi is "fish forward" but really all that meant was just rice, hidden wasabi, and clumsily sliced fish. Maybe it was the fact that we just had amazing Japanese food before going to Tomo, but we expected better. The worst part of the meal was the fact that the only reservation available online was at 2pm, but the place was empty. Then the waitress quickly let us know the kitchen closes at 2:30 as she rushed us to order everything we want immediately. Just poor communication and planning on their part. Maybe dinner is better, but I'm not going to return to see.

Yelp
Tomo is a nice place. I went here for a custom Omasake Dinner with my wife. The omakase at this restaurant is an extraordinary culinary journey. Each dish is a meticulous creation, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and inventive flavor combinations. The chef's expertise and attention to detail shine through in every course, providing a unique and memorable dining experience. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. For a top-notch omakase, this place is a standout choice.

Yelp
I knew my husband and I would be in for a special experience the moment we walked in (without reservatations) on a Monday after work. The ambiance is calming with dim lighting (but not too dim) and a friendly staff. While Tomo itself is large, the decor makes it feel intimate. (Note on parking: We parked in the attached garage only to learn that parking is not validated however valet parking is complimentary. That is something to remember next time - and there WILL be a next time!) The menu is extensive. We enjoyed the soft crab sushi and salmon entree, miso soup and the seaweed salad - all delicious. We also ordered green tea which tasted great on a cool weather night. All in all - this will become a favorite neighborhood spot in Buckhead. No issues other than the parking which I flagged above!

Yelp
Amazing experience! My sister and her husband took us here while in town for my birthday. Our server (by request) was T, she was incredible! All of the fish was top notch, we ordered a variety of things to try, my favorite of all was the garlic pepper toro. The desserts were phenomenal. My favorite was the matcha crepe cake, but I am biased because I love anything matcha. The passion fruit cheesecake was bursting with flavor and I loved the different consistencies. The bread pudding was not traditional, it was more flan like to me. Overall, the ambiance is great for a date night or special occasion. We got seated in a nice secluded booth/table, which was perfect and private compared to the other seating options.

Yelp
Tomo, a Michelin-recommended spot, had its highs and lows. The fish quality was undeniably fresh, but some dishes lacked the finesse expected at this level. Presentation was elegant, though a few items felt underwhelming in flavor. The service was polite but not particularly attentive, which detracted from the experience. The ambiance was pleasant, but it didn't stand out as memorable. While the reputation set high expectations, the overall experience was just okay. Tomo may appeal to some, but it didn't fully deliver for me.

Yelp
Tomo at the Ritz Residences in Atlanta (Buckhead) is an exceptional sushi spot. I constantly crave sushi so here we go. We tried included the Crab Jalapeno with lump crab meat, cilantro, and a cucumber wrap with a garlic-jalapeno sauce. It was a fresh and flavorful start to our meal. Another highlight was the Kampachi Serrano, which offered some spice with Kampachi sashimi, garlic, serrano pepper, and yuzu soy sauce. In addition to these dishes, we ordered several rolls, all of which were equally impressive. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an excellent sushi spot in Atlanta.

Yelp
First time trying Tomo after hearing MANY high accolades. The restaurant definitely lives up to the hype (and Michelin recommendation)! I'd say it's currently the best sushi option in Buckhead (sorry Umi) First off they have a MASSIVE menu. That's usually a red flag for me. How can they perfect everything on something that essentially has the same word count as a novella? Well, they do everything here to a level of perfection that I didn't think was possible. I was super impressed with the cocktails (incredibly bold Japanese flavors) and their Negrini (which changes daily). I got the Katsu as my entree and the only reason why this is a 4 star review is the pork was a little over cooked (however, the flavors were delicious!!) I'm coming back to do the coveted 4 seat omakase sometime soon!!

Yelp
I personally LOVED this place. Everything we ordered from appetizers to rolls to desserts were all a delight! I usually don't lean towards sushi rolls, but these are some of the best I've had! The garlic pepper toro roll and the 24k roll were both 5/5 stars! Everything we ordered we loved! The desert here is amazing as well! Service was good and attentive, parking here is Valet only so keep that in mind!

Yelp
10/10! I would eat here every day if I could. One of the best sushi's spots I have been eaten at to date. The ambience is very nice walking in. Beautiful spot to be! They do validate parking! The menu is great! I wish they did have a fried rice option, that is the only thing they are missing. We had the best seared salmon sashimi with truffle! The crispy rice was 2nd best Ive ever tried! I wish they put more spicy tuna on top it was very thinly layered. Their ritz roll I could eat all day long! Definitely order two of them because it's so buttery and fresh! Their nigiri is so cute and small but definitely fresh and flavorful! The service is super attentive and kind. They make great suggestions! But we ordered a roll and it did not come out as fresh as our first few dishes so we sent it back because we did not like the flavor and our servers Attitude totally and she didn't end our night as kind as she started. Overall great experience and will be back when we are in town next!

Yelp
So for a Michelin Guide restaurant I guess my expectations were a bit higher? The ambiance and decor are very calm and fitting for a place like this but it just felt like an above average Sushi place to me. If I could I'd rate it a 3.5 but I rounded up. The service was fine and the waitress was helpful, just not super descriptive. The Tempuras were good but they weren't the best I've ever had and it felt like there was more batter than actual shrimp. All the sashimi was fresh so that was good and their lychee martinis were a perfect mix - not too sweet and not too strong. All the rolls we had were also very good and fresh. Overall everything was good, but I can't put my finger on it but something felt like it was missing? But st the same time, I could've felt like my expectations were too high for this place.

Yelp
This is my first review since Tomo transitioned to new management. San and Martin are now owners in the business and directly involved in the business. Interior design and aesthetics have been refreshed and are tastefully done with nice attention to detail. The menu has been revamped, but all of my favorites have been retained, which is key: kampachi Serrano, kimi dai, shima ahi, etc! They have added some fun new menu items, reflecting more innovation and new ingredients like A5 Wagyu. This has broadened the menu. Front of house is still solid. We still mostly work with May, but Tee and Taya remain and many new quality servers have joined. I'd request management to broaden out their sake list and introduce more innovative cocktails.

Yelp
We came in for a special Mother's Day treat Omakase on the Friday night before. The ambiance is fantastic with elegant, clean, straight lines throughout and fresh roses on every table. The food and service are really where Tomo excels. Everything was timed perfectly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our vantage point from the Omakase sushi bar (akin to a Chef's table experience) where we could watch both our and others' dishes being made (the knife skills and nigiri shaping were impressive and mesmerizing). Every bite was fantastic, and it is nearly impossible to pick a favorite course; however, some standouts include the abalone in dashi, kegani, and all of the nigiri. Our Omakase ended up just being the two of us (as opposed to dining with strangers at the same seating time), and the menu was custom printed, acknowledging our special occasion (nice touch). The only part of the experience I wish I could change is the Omakase reservation process - there are a few components of it that, as an IT professional, make me cringe from the personal data security perspective. Outside of that one concern, Tomo is an easy 5-stars!

Yelp
I cannot believe I have waited so long to try this place. The ambience is classy and calls for a nice dine out. Our waitress was attentive and her suggestions were amazing - whatever she recommend was spot on and left us wanting even more! The food was to die for.. the sushi and the ceviche were fresh and so flavorful. And the dessert at the end - especially the chocolate moose crepe - perfect way to finish a meal. Will definitely be back again.

Yelp
I expected Tomo to be good bc of all the rave reviews, but it far exceeded my expectations! The HANABI is a must try! It has so much flavor, I could have eaten just that til I was full and been happy! I'm glad I didn't though bc the Chirashi was fresh, and the garlic pepper toro was fantastic! The valentines dessert was so good we actually ordered a second one. Our waitress was attentive as was all the staff. They balanced good service with efficiency really well. The surprising part was the bill! We had five glasses of wine, an app, 2 entrees, and 3 desserts for under $200. Amazing! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
We went here for date night -- the decor and ambiance was perfect for that. Our waiter was attentive and helpful and waters were refilled. The food however, could have been better. For our appetizer, we got the king salmon tartare which I wished was a little more tart and salty. Then we ordered the spicy scallop roll, MR roll and sushi-sashimi. The spicy scallop roll was a miss for me; the "scallop" comes separately in a chunky oily sauce in a sauce pitcher that you pour over the roll. There was barely any scallop and the consistency of the sauce was somewhat off putting and the taste was not impressionable. The MR roll was good and the salmon skin added a nice crunch. My favorite was probably the sushi- sashimi entree because the sashimi was fresh. We also ordered the lychee martini and Okinawa sunrise which were great!
google avatar

Yelp
Best sushi lunch in Atlanta. Probably the best lunch deal too for price and quality. Authentic Japanese sushi place formerly located in Cobb County for years before relocating to Buckhead a dozen years ago. We got the sushi lunch and chirashi don. Ambience is great for business lunches or quiet enough to get away from it. Bar is good spot to sit down if solo but the sitting area is spacious enough despite the long row bench. TV usually playing sports to distract you. Staff is attentive and quick; they understand that some people can't take a three hour lunch so food comes out relatively quick too. Dinner is a bit different vibe and there are other choices in the area but for lunch? No question come here for a good meal.
google avatar

Mishel Q.

Yelp
Came for lunch & enjoyed everything: Ordered the kampachi Serrano Hanabi Murasaki truffle fries Shrimp tempura Shrimp tempura roll Eel cucumber roll Spicy salmon roll Salmon skin roll Also received a small bowl of miso soup and small bowl of salad. Nothing to write home about. Service was quick and attentive. Make sure to use valet as they only validate valet. Made the mistake of parking in the garage.

Yelp
In the past when this location opened, it was not hitting the mark that the Vinings location stood for. Now, I feel they have picked back up and the food is back on a high level. Service has always been great here and the ambiance is relaxing and classy. Glad to see the food is back to the level it once was...

Yelp
My wife and I went here for our 3rd anniversary last night! The ambience, food and service was peaceful and beautiful! The sushi, chicken katsu and drinks were all delicious as well. We've been to most sushi places around north ATL but this one was BY FAR the best. Totally reasonable prices too
google avatar

Meghan M.

Yelp
Hey, many years later, still delicious and I want to live in this restaurant and eat all the yummy food everyday.
google avatar

René S.

Yelp
I have eaten at several Japanese sushi places in the usa and Europe and this one is just an ordinary overpriced restaurant . I feel the fact they somehow got Michelin recommended tilted them over the top with smaller overpriced plates. Also ambience is missing something to make it feel like intimate Service was ok but not super friendly . They smiled more when we left than during our dinner . Will not come back
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
My cousin and I went for lunch during Buckhead Restaurant Week. It was delicious! We ordered option 1. I had the teriyaki salmon, the shrimp roll and the chocolate crepes. My cousins had the spicy tuna roll(YUM) and the beef teriyaki (which was overcooked) but they gladly exchanged it for the salmon. She also had the bread pudding which was some of the best I've had. We also ordered the fried oysters and the eel nigiri(from the regular menu) and both were awesome. The service and drinks were impeccable! I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Eddy D.

Yelp
First time there...it was an amazing experience. I do think the food is very on par with Nobu.
google avatar

Jordon M.

Yelp
Food was delicious and amazing quality. Highly recommend all of the sushi rolls. The service was fantastic, and they gave us a complimentary bread pudding since it was our anniversary! Ambiance was very elevated, definitely perfect if you're going for a fancy vibe. I will say some of the dishes are overpriced given the small serving size.

Yelp
Having lived in Japan for a few years, Tomo's hosting of a Tuna Carving caused me to book six months in advance. Our party was truly excited, but what Tomo actually offered was anything but a Tuna Carving "experience." Sitting at the bar in front of a televised hockey game with zero atmosphere or connection to the carving completely under whelmed. Diners around us seemed to be feeling the same way, and yet when I asked to privately speak to a management team member, she was downright rude. While I must admit that the food was half decent, given the number of excellent high end sushi and Japanese omakase restaurants in Atlanta, I will not be returning. Misrepresenting the event was unfortunate, but then making it the fault of the customer showed me a side of the team I do not wish to experience going forward.

Kjell C.

Yelp
I initially left the following post on Tomo's Instagram post advertising their next Tuna Tuesday event. Instead of accepting my very accurate and honest review of their previous event, Tomo chose to delete my comments and blocked any further comments. So here we are. Tomo was one of my favorite restaurants in the city. However September's Tuna Tuesday was extremely disappointing. Expectation was an intimate omakase type experience, with limited seating, where we could watch how the tuna was broken down with opportunities to try different parts of the tuna as it was prepared. In reality, the event was grotesquely overbooked and was the exact opposite of what I was hoping for. Despite arriving to the event on time, we were sat on the opposite side of the restaurant with zero view of the actual event. Note we reserved our seats on 3/30/24, months before the September event. Because the event was so over booked, even if we walked to the opposite side of the restaurant, the large crowd standing in the middle of the restaurant prevented any viewing opportunities. Service was uncharacteristically slow, forgetful and inattentive. Food as always was good, once it finally arrived, but the one cut of tuna I was really excited to try was sold out by 6:36, 6 minutes after the event started. I strongly do not recommend wasting your time or money at future Tuna Tuesdays. For the money, there are far better restaurants experiences to enjoy in the city

Yelp
If you love sushi, this is a must try! I am surprised, took me so long to come Tomo! The restaurant itself, screeches, elegance, and beauty. There's definitely falls safely in the fine dining category. Our server was super attentive, and made some excellent suggestions. The flow of our food and wine was just perfect( didn't feel too rushed nor too slow) For appetizers we started off with the truffle fries( must have), tuna tartare,Shina aji spicy carpaccio, beef tataki. I can't decide which appetizer I like the most. each was unique and absolutely delicious! For sushi we tried Mr. Roll, hanabi,98 degrees and ocean 6 roll. The last roll was my favorite. We rounded up with the bread pudding chocolate cube and chocolate crepes for dessert. I definitely enjoyed the bread pudding the most. Only downside is that they do not validate parking( we paid $12) however, we were told later that they were stamp the valet ticket. Overall: a fantastic experience! Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Wow! First time at tomo and it has quickly become my new favorite sushi restaurant in Atlanta. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Our waitress was super helpful and guided us throughout the experience. Great date night vibes.

Yelp
Tomo is a sleek and classy Japanese restaurant located on the first floor of an office building off Peachtree Rd NE. It's kind of hidden. They offer valet and validated self-parking for 2 hours. We had reservations and had to wait a few minutes to be seated as they were preparing our table. The ambience is sleek and modern, perfect for a dinner date. Our waitress was so sweet, funny, and very attentive--she was always checking on us. I started with the sour apple cocktail, which was sweet like a candy and my friend had the vodka soda. We tried the shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer and it was was served hot and tasty. We decided to share a couple rolls: the yellowtail roll and soft shell crab roll. The yellowtail was good but mostly consisted of rice with a small portion of fish inside. The soft shell crab was flavorful but each bite was massive so I had to take it apart and eat it piece by piece. We ended the night with the chocolate crepe cake, it's a unique dessert--very strong dark chocolate and cocoa powder flavor. I had the lavender mimosa cocktail as a nightcap and it was nice, tasted like a bubbly champagne. Overall, not the best sushi I've ever had but a nice restaurant to visit for the ambiance and wonderful service.

Yelp
After waiting almost an hour to get our food from a group of 5 people, my sushi order was not delivered for an hour and a half. Claiming my ticket got lost. Everyone at my table had finished eating before my sushi came out. My party stated their food was just ok and was not equal to the price paid. Our server disappeared most of the night. After I complained about my very late meal order, only then did the server/manager state they would take care of my order. They still made me pay for the sparkling water and calamari that was not fresh. Overall, I would not recommend this place and I very well will not be returning. There is no excuse for bad service. How they got Michelin recommendation baffles me. The food was bland.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Came here with my wife and daughter on a Friday night and had a very good experience. We started out with the Crispy Calamari which was very good (but I wish it had a few extra pieces). We got 4 rolls: 24k, Hanabi, Garlic Pepper Toro, and Ocean 6. The 24k roll was the star of the show and was amazing. Hanabi was very good crispy rice but not the best I have had. The Ocean 6 was very good, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the Garlic Pepper Toro. We had the Chocolate Mil Crepes for desert. My wife and I liked it a lot, but my daughter was mixed. It isn't very sweet (like most asian deserts), so you need to have that expectation. Overall we really liked the place and would go again.
google avatar

Steven N.

Yelp
We came here on Friday night. We made reservation in advance, so we got seated immediately. Valet parking is complimentary with validation from the restaurant. They don't validate self parking in the parking deck. Service was amazing. Food was excellent. We had wagyu beef, sushi/sashimi, some specialty rolls.. everything was great. The temperature inside was kinda hot for me, but it's just minor
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
As an out of towner, I forgot how good fresh sashimi taste. The server pointed out that my fish was brought in fresh that day. The elegant restaurant is wide open, high ceilings with outdoor balcony seating. I chose to seat at the bar since I was alone in town on business. The presentation of the food was gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. The staff was great, food fabulous, a little pricy yet worth it.

LaShea R.

Yelp
Honestly, to put it plainly I cannot wait to return to Tomo. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My waitress was so lovely, the sushi chef was kind, and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the spring mix salad, shrimp tempura with veggies, eel, smoked salmon, toro as nigiri, Kampachi Serrano and the garlic yellow tail roll. The tempura was the best I experienced since living in Japan. Seriously, finally a restaurant that has the perfect texture and crunch of tempura, and I was sooo impressed to see the butter nut squash and sweet potato tempura. Since moving back to the states, every time I order tempura veggies, I would almost think to myself, where is the sweet potato and butternut squash. Upon my arrival I planned out my order but next time I will indulge in the chefs specialty menu for sure. I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Tomo Japanese Restaurant is conveniently located in Buckhead. A few years back, Tomo had amazing service however due to changes in staff, longer waits to be seated. The Bento box, I had for lunch, was good, however their has been long wait times before the food arrives to the table. The Resturant Ambiance is nice and clean. They have Valet Parking with a Safe Environment.

Yelp
The best sushi in Atlanta hands down. The service is stellar and the quality of the fish is so fresh! I can't say enough great things!

Hubby and I came here on a Friday night. We had the chef's special Toro with garlic and pepper at the recommendation of our server who was spot on with her suggestions. Toro is the fatty part of the tuna belly and was melt in your mouth, almost buttery. We shared the sushi sashimi plate that included various nigori and sashimi plus a roll. Since we started the the sesame spinach and crunchy seaweed salad-it was plenty of food. We finished with black sesame ice cream which was delicious-- kind of like pistachio. The best Japanese food this side of the Pacific! Try it!

Yelp
Excellent place. We had the sashimi, sushi, a California roll along with wagyu and asparagus. All the food was prepared perfectly and even though the place was packed and we didn't have a reservation, they still got us in and service was great.

Yelp
What a lovely birthday meal! My girlfriend and I dined here last night for a belated birthday celebration. We arrived at 5:30 for a 6pm reservation. We anticipated having to wait but luckily the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated right away. We were greeted by three smiling faces upon arrival and very friendly customer service throughout our entire meal. Since we haven't seen each other face-to-face for a year, my girlfriend and I had a lot to catch up on! Between chatting and eating, our meal lasted 2.5 hours but the restaurant was fairly empty and we were never rushed to finish our meal or leave. We enjoyed two glasses of Malbec - they have a great one here - and powered through a ton of food. We asked the server for her recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. We devoured the following: - SNOW CRAB JALAPENO: snow crab rolled in cucumber, cilantro, garlic jalapeno sauce - KAMPACHI SERRANO: 6 slices of kampachi sashimi, garlic, thinly sliced serrano pepper, yuzu soy sauce. - SUSHI-SASHIMI: 1 spicy tuna roll, 6 nigiri, 12 sashimi - SASHIMI: 16 pc chef's choice - HOUSE SPECIAL: tuna, yellowtail, salmon, white fish, smelt egg, eel, avocado - SPICY SCALLOP: seared scallop, arugula, spicy mayo, smelt egg, shiitake, avocado Our entire meal was very delicious! Our hands-down favorite was the Kampachi Serrano, followed by the snow crab jalapeno. The sashimi platters were beautiful and very fresh. We both didn't really care for the two rolls - and the server says they are the two most popular rolls, so maybe pass on the rolls next time. Finally, they surprised me with a mille crepe cake for dessert! How sweet. PS. They validate parking for two hours. Enjoy!

Yelp
The food is so good, the waiters are nice most of the time, and the ambiance is great for conversations and a laid back meal.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Tomo the restaurant OR Chef Tomo. I was blown away by Chef Toni's creativity & the obscenely good food we experienced here! We did omakase for my birthday and it was a whole event. We met another couple doing omakase who are regulars and all the staff knew them so we were all talking and having a great time together. Chef Tomo told us about each course from our personalized menu as he presented each one and carefully crafted each plate. He also shared stories about the origin of the fish or dish & his travels across the US/Japan. He's lived in so many places so if you get the opportunity, ask this man about his life! Super interesting! Cliff, the manager, was wonderful to work with. Before the reservation, he asked my fiance a few questions about our budget & the experience in general to prepare us for the night. We tried many new things and realized we know nothing. Chef Tomo told us what to eat from each dish & pretty much everything on each plate was edible. Of the amaebi, we ate the entire shell. The head was fried in sea salt & literally just like a softshell crab. IDK how but it was delicious. He seared the body & added caviar (from...Syria? I'm not sure) + shiso leaf & if it wasn't the best prawn I've ever had.. We tried ayu fish and I totally get why people are obsessed. It was buttery and flavorful & we ate the whole fish on the plate, tail and all. I wanted to uneat it just to eat it again. We tried lobster nigiri which is super rare to find but Tomo does it! We had lamb stuffed with foie gras & I've always thought I hated foie gras but literally it was just that I hadn't had Tomo's The japanese red snapper nirigi was perfect with the shiso leaf, bonito nigiri was so smooth & flavorful... Toro nigiri was the kind you needed to get a room with, so tender, utterly delicious & buttery. We tried kobe beef for the first time & it was like meat flavored butter. Like, we started laughing when we ate it! Definitely couldn't eat that kind of steak every day but it was certainly a treat. It's so hard to pick a favorite because it was all so good. I definitely think everyone should try Tomo and omakase if you can. They have prices starting at $125/person & will discuss budget with you ahead of time It's beside the Ritz Carlton & the doors say Tomo on them so look for those after you leave your car with the valet

Yelp
Sashimi was great! as well as the rolls. The hot kitchen food and appetizers were good but we had to wait for longer than usual time. I was almost finished with my sashimi before our appetizers arrived.

Yelp
Ever laugh when your dishes come out because the portion size was designed for ants? We ordered 10+ dishes and I went home to eat instant ramen cause I was still STARVING. This is not the place to go if you like normal portions of food. If you enjoy nibbling here and there, that's perfectly fine. The cod lettuce wrap was a single bite. Literally. The tuna tartare was the size of a half dollar coin. Even the miso soup was served in a bowl meant for a kids tea party. I felt like a giant eating all this miniature food! Great ambiance. Gorgeous restaurant. Valet parking and self-parking via parking date is available. They do validate your parking. We had a great time but I'm the type of girl who EATS and the portions here just did not do it for me. Food was good but nothing that WOW me. Overall, great spot to take a date and plan to go grab some burgers or late night eats afterwards.

Yelp
Arrived a little early and was seated immediately.. nice and quiet and waitress was prompt. We ordered two dirty martinis and water and once again the service was quick and the drinks were excellent.. ordered three appetizers and they came in an orderly fashion and all were excellent... second martini and main course ordered and once again it was timely and delicious.. love that I could sit across the table from my wife and have a conversation with out yelling!! Recommend this place!!
