Tony's Pizza

I grew up in bushwick. From my parents to my childhood and now my kids, it continues to be the best place to go and eat. The variety of pizzas and pasta to tasty treats . Seeing those, I've also grown up around seeing my kids it's a great feeling to walk in, and you're treated as family always. I moved from the area, and I still take the trip to visit my favorite spot no matter where we are. Excellent vegan pizza! You can create individual slices with whatever toppings they have (vegan chicken, sausage, pepperoni, cheese + regular pizza toppings). They are made to order. Crust was doughy and crunchy but not too thick. I got one veggie and one sausage. The slices are huge and around $6 each. My partner enjoyed his non-vegan pizza as well. They have vegan desserts but they didn’t look great. The people working there were so helpful and nice explaining how the vegan options work. Bathroom was clean. Definitely recommend.

First time at Tony's pizza, and I can say it was an incredible experience. My friends that were visiting from NC and I decided to find a good place for pizza and we found Tony's, the food was spectacular, not just because the pizza was huge but it was full of meat and everything we asked. It was so fresh and well packed. 6 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for the great team working there.

We wanted to try pizza in New York and we found Tony’s. The crust was thick and crunchy like focaccia in Italy. The topping was tasty. The portion was enormous. Two people’s pizza plus two pops were $39. I couldn’t finish. I would recommend the pizzeria! The owner and staffs were friendly and helpful. Clean restroom. Super near to a metro stop.

Had takeaway Pizza and dessert, took one bite of their carrot cake dessert only to see the sides of the cake covered in Mold!! .Not sure how long it’s been kept then. Had to throw out. I’m shocked, definitely avoid the desserts.

First time here and sadly I won’t be returning. No fault of theirs, their pizza just isn’t my thing. I’m more of a thin crust girl. Their slices are really doughy and their tomato sauce is very sweet. Cake tastes like mid diner cake which I suppose is to be expected. Many people love this place and while I didn’t personally love the food, I can see the allure. The atmosphere is truly delightful. It is incredibly clean and the tile walls remind me of childhood. There aren’t enough pizza places in New York that still look like this. I saw some reviews about the staff being rude but I couldn’t disagree more. The staff is so so lovely. It really has a homey feel. If I liked the pizza I would probably live at this joint.

Some of the best pizza in the city. Crust is perfect, bready but crunchy. Cheese was very good and fresh. Ingredients seemed to be solid. Inside the restaurant is pretty standard, decently clean too late at night. Looks like they also serve gelato and pasta, along with drinks. Not the best prices around but for the quality of pizza it’s good value. Great spot for pizza in Bushwick, definitely recommend

The pizza it's great, but desserts are marvelous 😋 super fresh, well presented and delicious. Packed properly. One of the best tiramisu I have ever ate.

Best pizzeria in town BY FAR. Not just a pizzeria but in my opinion a 5 star Italian restaurant. I had the scallops -- AMAZING, the gelato -- tasted like Italia for real. My group of friends each had a different dish & everything, the meat dishes, pasta dishes, side dishes, salad, the breads, all Micheline quality. Don't even get me started with the pizza. All pies all styles from the sicilian to the classic slice I give a 12 out of 10! Vegan options as well this place is THE BEST. Let me not forget the service & atmospher -- on point!! P.S Their homemade desserts are a must try!

Used to come as a family to Tony's pizzeria as a child when we lived in this area . Came by recently to have pizza, Food tasted great , cooked well . Clean atmosphere indoor and also outdoor dining . Salvatore made the ambiance welcoming and warm! He didn't discriminate my pineapple love on my cheesy slice.. in-fact he embraced it with an extra side! If you want good pizza with a side of spicy personality this is the place for you. All your wildest dreams will come true

The pizza options here are overwhelming in a good way! I have tried the pepperoni and sausage Sicilian and the Hawaiian, which were all amazing. The staff is very friendly and a service is quick. they have a small section for outdoor seating which is really nice in the summer when the weather is warm. I had the pleasure of meeting Tony himself and he shared a slice of his favorite pizza with me. This pizza place isn't the nearest one to me, but it definitely is worth the walk!

The pizza and the welcoming vibe are both worth coming back for!! I felt comfortable lingering and staff, as well customers, were happy to suggest items from the menu and often had a memory associated with it.

So I was on Knickerbocker Avenue this Easter Sunday 4/9/23 around 6:pm and I just wasn't feeling all that Spanish food today I was actually craving Italian and believe it or not there's an Italian cook in this kitchen !!! This is a real deal Still Italian owned & operated Pizzeria and restaurant..... I was craving penny à la vodka and the slice, which both were delicious.... My vodka sauce was perfect with a lil chunky tomato's and with a lil prosciutto chopped up nice & creamy & my pasta is cooked to perfection al dente !! They give you a lil twisted garlic bread with melted cheese in the middle which did its job helping me scoop all that yummy sauce out from my plate !!! Move over garlic knots & Italian bread & hello twisty hot garlic cheesy stick !!! Also they served me a lil Indy garden salad with Italian dressing also very good ... The slice I choose was their margarita with fresh mozzarella and basil, the crust was super thin & crispy & the sauce & fresh mozzarella was delicious !!! Sorry for no picture but the slice had no chance I was starving !!! Lol The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating and the counter servers we're very polite & fast .. They are extremely busy over here with pizza alone for a holiday they had over 15 different kinds of fresh pies to go by the slice .... Deserts they definitely got ya covered over here; take a look, gelato, numerous cake slices, as well as whole cakes, big selection to please everyone !! Definitely coming back when in the area and definitely telling my co workers about this place ... The food options are okay from what I noticed, there's a few vegan items but not too many, service seem decent and the atmosphere is not the worst or best in the world. But think compared to other places even for just the basic things, like a slice and so on, it a bit more pricey, for that I would rather give it a two and a half stars but can't, so for now it gets two solid stars, just for the value and price points.

I love their pizza; it is typical New York pizza. I love their ingredients; I usually order cheese or a pizza roll. Both are really good! The chicken rolls have sesame seeds; I would prefer it if they didn't, but they are still delicious. The staff are super lovely every single time I've ordered for takeout and in person. The ambiance here is very welcoming, and the workers are friendly and speak to customers; I've never had a bad encounter here.

Seriously awesome food. The other day we put in an order for rice balls with vodka sauce, pesto sauce, and tomato sauce on top. We got the upside down pie and the Caesar salad as an extra thing. Everything was excellent. i ordered the greek salad today for lunch. it was fantastic.

Came All The Way from California to eat here and damn it was worth it. Best Lasagna I've had by far .. place was Clean and Staff were Super Sweet .. I'll definitely be back before I head home to Cali..

VEGAN REVIEW! Tony's is such a great spot! It's a chill and authentic pizza place that's been serving up the classics since the 70's, complete with vegan offerings. They always have a vegan cheese slice on deck, and you can add other toppings to your slice including vegan meat and a variety of veggies. If you prefer a whole pie, you can grab a vegan cheese or vegan pepperoni, as well as making your own, of course. I've gotten cheese slices and whole pepperoni pies before, and both were fantastic! Tony's also offers vegan desserts in the form of sorbet and even vegan cake slices! Aside from the fact that they have plenty of vegan options, Tony's has great service. The guys behind the counter are super friendly and funny, a true testament to this Bushwick institution. When they heard it was my birthday one night that we came in, they had everyone sing and gave me a free slice of vegan cake. It absolutely made my night and on subsequent visits the staff have been just as friendly and cool! Needless to say, Tony's is my go-to whenever I'm craving a classic New York slice or pie in Bushwick, and it should be yours, too :)

Fabulous pizzeria all around! I went for the first time today and the person working the counter was incredibly patient as I questioned the menu. The pizza was ready in about 25 minutes, and it was DELICIOUS. Everyone loved the pizza. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the egg and hash brown pizza - we put bacon on it. Helpful tip: There were 6 of us and we got 2 larges (because we eat a lot normally). It was actually wayyyy too much. We ended up with a whole large leftover. Next time we would get 2 mediums.

Fucking amazing! I had the best gluten free pizza I have ever had here. It may well have been the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was thin, crispy and delicious. The toppings were generous and delicious. They were super friendly. The pizza was ready when they said it would. The decor really shouted pizzeria, and even at 10:30 pm on a Tuesday night the place was hopping. I cannot recommend Tony's enough. You will be so thankful you got a pizza here.

I was looking for an authentic NYC classic slice and I stumbled on this spot. The vibe of the restaurant is nice, very accommodating and customer friendly. I ordered two slices, two canned sodas and and order of mozzarella sticks to share with my little bro, I was kinda disappointed when the total came out. And felt I was overcharged Initially. Almost 25 bucks for two slices two sodas and a few mozz sticks. I think that's a bit much. However the quality and taste of everything was top notch! But the high prices are definitely a turn off. Please consider making some combo discounts. A slice and soda shouldn't be more than $5 I know we don't live in the $1 slice world anymore but there is a beauty in the affordability and quality of authentic food. I would come here so much more often if the prices were a bit lower.

Not to be confused with the other Tony's by Dekalb. This is our go-to place for parties (by parties I mean the same people in our house, just with more food lol). Their extra large pizzas are indeed extra large I'm not even kidding. Probably as big as a toddler. Their pastas are delicious too, and they offer catering trays. Delivery does take a while, usually an hour minimum. But we always anticipate it and order ahead anyway.

Food was decent, friendly service, but I think I got charged the "We don't post our prices so we can just make something up on the spot" tax. $40 for three slices, a few buffalo wings, and a slice of cheesecake? Never again. EDIT: Salvatore, the owner, reached out to me, which I appreciate very much. As it turns out the price I was charged is actually what they charge, including nearly $14 for an order of wings. Bumping my review up to three stars for the personalized touch, but man, those are some prices!

Well worth the wait!! Had to come and try the stuffed mushroom slice after my sister ranted and raved about it to me last week... they were making a fresh slice when I came in (Lucky me) so I waited 40 min for it. I didn't realize that they were so big because I never had one before so I ordered 2. Totally NOT necessary. One slice is more than enough. I'm stuffed and satisfied!! And happy that I now know about this place. Sheesh!! Got a bunch of other slices for other people. Great Pizza in Bushwick. Worth the drive and the wait!! Satisfied Customer!!

Easily the best pizza in Bushwick and wouldn't dream of ordering from another place. Luckily, I live within a 5 minute walk from this great pizzeria, and their pickup game is strong. Everyone who works there is helpful, knowledgeable, and gives off an old school Brooklyn vibe. I love that they run movies all the time in shop so on the off chance you have to wait for an order, you're never bored. I've gotten the Brooklyner and a meat lovers pizza, and both just absolutely slapped. Quality meats, good amount of cheese, prefect cook on the crust, no complaints anywhere! An absolute staple in my take out diet and dream of their pizzas!

I'd rate Tony's three and a half stars. We shared the three sauce slice which had a spicy red sauce (I believe arrabiata), a vodka sauce, and a pesto drizzle with some fresh mozzarella slices. Toppings were good. Dough reminded me a bit more of the dough used for sausage rolls than for pizza. Crust was pretty thick and dense. Their forte is specialty slices. Lots of varieties including but not limited to Buffalo chicken, bbq chicken, macaroni and cheese, penne, ceasar salad, taco, and many more. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, I should've tasted the dressing before putting it on the salad but I just assumed it was normal Caesar dressing. The salad itself was the expected ingredients: lettuce, cheese, croutons and chicken. But the dressing...good lord. It was sweet and syrupy...it made the salad completely inedible. It tasted so wrong, the complete opposite of a savory salty Caesar dressing. I was so upset. Waste of time and money.

Every pizza spot claims they are the best spot in town however Tony's Pizzeria is truly the Best Pizzeria in Brooklyn!! There's a variety of options here that you can't get anywhere else like Mac and cheese pizza, taco pizza, pasta pizza!! Sheesh My favorite is the Buffalo chicken, cooked to perfection. Tony's is a must go-to if your in the Bushwick area or visiting Brooklyn in general.

The best freaking pizza I've ever had!! Ate WAY too much pizza and gelato because I can't get this level of amazing pizza at home! I also had the pleasure of meeting Jack, one of the owners, who was the very essence of an Italian New Yorker- treats you like family, generous in spirit, and a delight to talk to!! Give this place a try, your won't be disappointed!

I made a mistake and went to the OTHER tonys pizza on knickerbocker but THIS one is most definitely superior. The sauce was really good, the size was good and the people were friendly as well. This is probably my favorite pizzeria in bushwick. Their gelatos are good as well. WOuld recommend.

Awesome pizza ordered a large pie on a Friday night for pickup and only took 20 mins. The guys running the place are super friendly and the pizza was the best I've had in Bushwick and has a good run for top in the city.

THE BEST IN BROOKLYN thin crust is amazing the ice cream is amazing my favorite in nyc

I walked 30 mins in 20 degree weather from Ridgewood to Roberta's only to find out that they gave my pick up order to someone else... smh the audacity to give my pizza away like that. I was determined to have my first slice of mouth watering pizza since I'm new to nyc and stumbled upon this lovely place on my miserable walk home. The gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming and insisted I had the grandma's pie. He told me to trust him since he's the big guy behind the pizza counter who knows good food. I'm glad I did because this satisfied my craving. Thin, warm, crispy and the cheese was just right. It was nice to enjoy the slice fresh out of the oven and watch bad boys 3 on a cold winter night. A must try!

Ordered for delivery a veggie pie, a Sicilian, antipasto salad and fried calamari. Delivery was prompt and food hot. Everyone loved the veggie pie. The Sicilian not as much. Calamari was most likely frozen pre made. Antipasto salad so-so. Not sure I'd go out of my way to order from there again

This place is located on a street filled with shopping. If you're lucky, you might find street parking. A very casual place to grab a snack if you're already in the area but I probably wouldn't travel to come here. The grandma slice was very good and so was the margarita. My boyfriend got the buffalo chicken. The slices are large and filling. There's also plenty of dessert options like cheesecake and macaroons. There was plenty of indoor seating. Satisfied my pizza craving but wasn't blown away.

Good food, good prices and good people. We were out there within just a matter of a few moments with our food.

Ordered takeout from here for a birthday party. I called 6 hours in advance to let them know how many pies and what time I needed them for and they were so accommodating and helpful. I showed up at the exact time, and everything was ready, and they even helped me carry everything and put it in my car for me! The pizza was incredible, I'm actually still thinking about it, and everything was so smooth. I can't wait to order again.

Pizza was great as expected, there's the new slice going around called the MVP. I don't know where it started but I've started to see them around the pizza circuits. Well Tony's Pizzeria just so happen to have that slice and I had to indulge. It was super delicious, I forgot to take a picture because by the time I remembered to, it was gone. But it has all my favorites it's a pesto and vodka on top of a Margherita slice/Sicilian. My new favorite slice.

I really don't know what the fuss is about. The pizza is mostly dough and crust. The toppings are ok (we had the buffalo chicken pizza as half the pie). When I ordered they got my delivery order wrong (sent us half cheese when it was supposed to be half pepperoni) and blamed it on a trainee. They offered me a discount on my next pie but will not be ordering again. My son and I didn't even finish the pie we ordered and threw away the rest. No second day cold pizza journey for us. The pizza isn't terrible, it just isn't as great as people have proclaimed it to be.

Okay, so I was really looking forward to trying this place for quite a while. The reviews were very good, so I was genuinely looking forward to it. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, for delivery. I'm going to be dead honest - it was average at best. I don't know if that's because it was delivered or if it was just an off-day for the crew, but it was very very average. I wouldn't go back there, personally. I can get much better pizza elsewhere. The ingredients were FINE, but nothing special. The crust was too thick for sure. I will admit this, however - the pizza photographed pretty well

An AMAZING pizza place. They have a gorgeous counter full of unique slices I've never seen and they have a ton of vegan options. They didn't have any vegan options already made when I went but they were willing to make something fresh for me. The man at the counter was super helpful with explaining all the options I had. I couldn't believe it when he said most of their vegan meats were made in house! It's rare a pizza place has vegan meats and I thought it near impossible to find a pizza place that had homemade ones. Tony's has vegan meatballs, bacon, ham, chicken . . . what to choose?? I decided to go with a personal pie with vegan meatballs, vegan cheese, sundried tomatoes, and artichoke hearts (they have a million different toppings to choose from). I was shocked when I got home and opened the pizza box. They absolutely LOAD the pie with toppings. You definitely get your money's worth. It was delicious and the crust was perfectly crispy while still being chewy. I also tried the vegan chicken parm hero. The chicken wasn't breaded and fried as I was expecting with the classic name but it was tasty nonetheless. Once I received my food, it was apparent I had big eyes while ordering. So I ended up splitting it into two huge meals. This brings me to my first critique: there is no clear menu. I don't like to be surprised with my bill and that's exactly what happened. It's not that they are overpriced but I would like to know what everything costs before I order. Another con was their sodium addiction. Everything I ate was super salty. It was still yummy but be prepared to feel the need to drink cup after cup of water. Even with this, though, I have to repeat that this place is amazing. I will be back.

We recently threw a small taste testing party in order to determine which of the two Bushwick Tony's was better-- we've long heard that one Tony was better than the other, but also nobody we knew could remember which one was which. In conclusion: this is the better Tony's, according to our testers. We sampled two pizzas from each: a plain cheese pizza (for comparison) and a more interesting pie (the New Yorker from here, and a broccoli and cheese one from the other Tony's) because if I only ate cheese pizza I'd go nuts. Between the two, this one had better sauce (albeit too sweet for some reviewers) and was more thoroughly cooked for better crust and texture. Unfortunately, they both still pale in comparison, IMO, to some of the great pies in other neighbourhoods, which still would beat both Tony's in all categories, particularly sauce and texture. I will still be on the hunt for a new favourite pizza joint in Bushwick after the closures of Archie's and Houdini and probably others that I'm forgetting to name. Until then, if you want to eat at a pizza place in Bushwick named Tony's, go to this one.

Love the classic bench layout like the good old days. A variety of selection of pizza slices available. Note that not all slices are displayed, as some can be in the back or fridge. Typical new york slice with the thin crust and fair amount of cheese. Sauce was pretty good but on the sweeter side that needed a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and oregano on top. The Sicilian pepperoni slice was good but not sure if the size is worth its price of $4.35. Tax is not included on the listed menu price and there is a % on using credit cards. They also have a selection of desserts on the side but haven't gotten a chance to try their selection.

Oh, Tony sweet Tony, how my belly loves you. I've lost count of the savory slices that I have bitten into Sunday after Sunday after Sunday and more Sundays. While working in Brooklyn with youth for the summer, NY Pizza Sundays became a thing and you were our choice. Though you have an array of options, cheese and pepperoni were our go-tos without disappointment. The only true dissapointment was not being able to enjoy your cheesy goodness in time on the 4th of July. We entered too close to closing to be considered. All was forgiven, because we knew another Sunday would come. Thank you for making summer 2019 memorable. Eat here, people. Tony's is the real deal. NY baby.

I have been here twice this week! Absolutely the best pizza I've had in ages ! I'm so thrilled that this neighborhood jewels serves fresh, authentic, creative pizzas (as well as desserts & pastry) right here in the heart of Brooklyn ! I absolutely adore the wonderful decor & ambiance of the restaurant and plus there's outdoor seating but let's get to the pizza ! Ok well during my patronage this time I was able to enjoy the penne pasta pizza um um um delicious! Next I had the buffalo chicken pizza, yummy in my tummy! Honestly I have to come back again this week to try the upside down pizza x the baked ziti pasta because ziti is my ultimate fav! Great job guys everything was wonderful as always ! Can't wait to return back!!

The pizza slices we got were alright. Toppings are good with many options to choose from but the dough is too thick for my preference. It is chewy, more like flatbread than thin crust. The people working there are very friendly!

We ordered 3 different slices and my expectations were high based on the reviews. We were all (3 of us) disappointed. The pizza was average at best but not what I had hoped it would be. There was very little sauce and the crust was to crunchy and hard to enjoy. The pizza left us wishing we had rates something else. Overall not horrible but just meh...

First off they have good pizza, but their customer service is fucking atrocious. I'm going to be petty and write a review because it is a lot better than wrong choices to rectify this situation. I'll give you the rundown. First I call at 11:44am and whoever picked up said to call back in an hour they aren't doing deliveries. My phone accidentally called one time at 12:38pm through the Yelp app to Tony's without me knowing, (that is my mistake). I am starving and the phone must have been thinking on my behalf. Me thinking I'm making my second call an hour later (third total call), whoever picks up says is this you calling 4 or 5 times playing around. I say no this is only my second call. He's pissed at me already because he thinks I'm playing around with him. I decide to continue with my order for pickup then. I end the call. Now my madness kicks in because being an ex-Marine, I try not to explode to anger as my first instinct like I have been trained to do. I end up calling back and telling him, "Now this is my third call and I want to cancel my order." I hanged up. He calls me back, I pick up, and he goes into a rant about he thinks I'm playing because my phone called a bunch of times. He doesn't apologize, and I don't apologize of course because we both think this is bullshit. Either way, there is a professional way to carry yourself as a business (the way he did wasn't it). We both lose because now I don't get my favorite pizza anymore and he lost a customer. Thank you Tony's for knowing how to deal with customers on the phone and I'm sorry my phone called you only one more time by mistake (Not 4 or 5 like you claimed). Best pizza in town! Love the dishes as well the baked ziti is my favorite. Quick and efficient service, dine in or delivery it serves warm.

First of all... I DEFINITELY recommend this place... But for so many reasons... And the food is a big one, but not nearly the only one. When I first got there, I walked into an unexpected mentorship lesson. One of the workers was in the area right by the counter giving a lesson to a middle school aged kid on how to properly greet/shake hands/and show respect and appreciation when you encounter a familiar face. By the time I got to them, the worker had role played it several times, shaking hands and hugging him, and giving him pointers after each try until the kid had it down. This is what community mentorship/impact looks like. I was blown away. In addition to this, there was a couple there on a date on one side, an older woman eating towards the front, and two others high school kids laughing and playing their Nintendo Switch at one of the booths after school. It just felt like a community hub. One that they allowed a visitor like me get in on. I also sensed a great vibe and connectedness among the workers, but also from the workers to everyone in there. The gentleman who brought my food to me said, "Hey, enjoy this." And I truly felt like he cared and meant it. This is the kind of stuff people don't get credit for, and it's beautiful when people do it anyway. Even if the food was bad, which HEAVENS it most DEFINITELY is NOT... I'd still be visiting this place EVERY time I'm in New York. This is the EXACT type of spot I want to support and spend my money at. Kudos. Food-wise: Unique and Dope. I HAD to go for the BBQ Chicken Pizza and I was not disappointed. Quality. Rich. Filling. I also dared to go for the Chicken Caesar Pizza... (Picture chicken caesar salad.... But literally on a freakin' pizza.... ) But man... It was pretty darn good. I also got these little Garlic Knots (?) with pepperoni and marinara dipping sauce. (6 Pack). On point. I ordered WAY too much food and didn't come close to finishing it... But there were just SO many things I wanted to try. The restaurant itself seems dated, but almost in a throwback type of way honoring the legacy of what was. Vintage in a way... Not usually my preferred ambiance, but still classic. I noticed one other thing worth mentioning. When the couple that was on a date wrapped up and finished, within 10 seconds of them leaving, one of the workers was at the table wiping it down. They in NO way pressured or pushed them out, but when they did leave, the staff immediately made the space available for the next person that desires to come stay a while. This place just has incredible culture. I was a proud first-time customer. If you haven't guessed it yet... Yes. I DEFINITELY recommend this place. Keep up the good work. ALL of it.

The 2 stars, and a half, lol are for their sicilian pizzas. So good! The -2 1/2 is for how rude the manager was. I came here once with my doggy to place a to go order and everyone was nice to me, I got my pizza, no problem. But the person that was there tonight, didn't even let me place my order. He told to leave my dog outside . Now which year is it old school? Who is crazy enough to let their furbaby out in the cold? Clearly, this man lacks of heart towards dogs. I loved ordering from you guys, your giant pizzas will be missed. But I choose businesses who love pets, always!
