"Seafood lovers flock to this Seabrook restaurant for its expansive menu of flavorful combinations straight from the sea (The dinner menu alone is three pages). Choose between one of seven styles of oysters to start, including the Rocky’s, which are grilled with shrimp, bacon, and cheese, and consider the gooey shrimp and crawfish fondue or alligator bites for an appetizer. The fried seafood platters are bountiful, with the diner’s choice of crispy crawfish tails, catfish, shrimp, and more, and the Mesquite grilled mains, including mahi mahi and redfish, don’t disappoint either." - Brittany Britto Garley

We had a very nice early lunch. The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice. It was early so there was not a whole lot of people there, but even if there was the area very spacious. The only thing that I did not like was the catfish but that’s just personal preference I’m not a big catfish person. There’s only a handful places that I’ll eat it at, but I did order the Battleship which included catfish. It was a great dish. my husband did like the catfish. It was big enough to share between the two of us. My daughter ordered the coconut shrimp which she enjoyed and my son ordered the shrimp Alfredo, which he thought was very good as well.

Google
Delicious food, margaritas, and atmosphere! We got the fried pickles and Crabby Asparagus (panko fried asparagus with artichoke butter sauce topped with lump crab) for our appetizers. I got the Broiled Platter for my entree… It was AMAZING! We highly recommend Tookie’s!!!

Google
This place is huge just like their portions. Food and service was excellent. Our server Aaron was incredible he made sure our drinks were never empty and that we had everything to enjoy our meal. The atmosphere is nice and open with huge windows to have views outside. Great spot just down the way from the Kemah Boardwalk.

Google
Tookie's was a really great experience. They didn't have any more Angry Orchard, but that was a low priority. I had a cup of the Lobtser Bisque, and it came with garlic bread. For my entrée, I had grilled catfish with grilled shrimp on top. My waitress was very friendly and checked on me a lot. I would definitely eat here again.

Google
Great seafood place. Been there multiple times and always great food. Wide variety of seafood options, their oysters are great. Staff is pretty fast and attentive, especially given the size of the restaurant. Definitely properly staffed. I got rainbow trout and is was nice and light. Perfect for dinner

Google
Great atmosphere, great service (shoutout to Nick!) and fantastic food!! If you love fried seafood, you'll love Tookie's. And if you order the cheese sticks with fresh warm marinara, you'll be in heaven. But be warned, if you order Mama Ethel's onion rings, they're HUGE!! And delicious!

Google
Great place to eat with friends or family! My favorite is Salmon with veggies. 🥗 bake potato. They have great variety of food. And let’s not forget their delicious seafood gumbo. Definitely 💯. Shawn is the best waiter!!

Google
Tookie's Seafood! The service was Great. Most importantly the food and Drink selection was Great!! We loved it so much last time we were in town we had to stop in again.

Yelp
Good seafood and close to Kemah. Service and atmosphere: The restaurant is located right by the highway and with its well maintained outside is hard to miss. The inside was clean and very spacious. There was a separate bar area for a quick bite and a drink. Our server was nice and fairly attentive. Onto food and drinks: Food was good and plentiful. Our were well seasoned, however, I still needed some Tabasco for extra flavour. - Shrimp and grits - shrimp was overcooked but tasty gravy helped it and mixed well with buttery grits. - Pasta Alfredo with chicken was pretty good. Chicken was still moist and well charred. - Steak with shrimp and veggies was pretty good. Steak was cooked medium as ordered. - Oyster were fresh and deviled eggs were prepared well. Pricing: $$ - not overpriced and quality justified.

Yelp
Such a great experience with food, service, and vibe. We wanted some authentic seafood and saw some reviews for this place. It looked like the right place for us. We ordered the shrimp squealers and my husband ordered the pacific rim tuna. Both dishes were amazing! And as for sides, we went with double veggies. I love when restaurants allow you to pick your sides. Brussel sprouts were glazed and sweet. The mixed veggies left us feeling full and satisfied. Our server was so nice and approachable and that's always important to us. We just love the ambiance here and how decorative it is. When we come back to visit, we will add this to our places to recommend.

Yelp
Tookie's is a favorite of my Dad's so we always go there when he's in town. They have an extensive seafood menu, a variety of delicious oysters, fried and grilled seafood dishes, lunch specials , healthier and not-so healthy options at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is family friendly. The large chair at the front is great for family photo ops. It's fairly near the water which gives the place a nice beachy feel. I get vacation vibes whenever I go. The service is consistently pretty good. Today when we went, I left my food behind and didn't realize it until we were on the elevator to leave. I rushed back in and our server smiled and told me he told the busser to give us 5 min to turnaround to retrieve it. So happy my food was still there. I hate when that happens and they throw your food away as soon as you leave. We'll continue to go to Tookie's. It's a nice reasonably priced family friendly treat.

Yelp
Fantastic food and superior service! This was our first time eating at Tookie's Seafood but rest assured we will return. Our waiter took time out to share his menu favorites. Extremely excited to dive into the New Orleans grilled oysters. Fantastic! Hubby ordered the renamed Oyster Trio. Of course with him being a member of "never met an Oyster that I didn't love" he said the trio danced on his palette! LOL. Honestly, hubs enjoyed both but the trio was his favorite appetizer. We shared a grilled shrimp Caesar salad.... I had not much room remaining in my stomach. So with that said, only took a single bite. I am still enjoying this meal while making plans to return soon.

Yelp
My husband and I split the shrimp platter and added extra shrimp. It was so delicious. They had great fries too. We were visiting from California and wanted to go back the next night for more delicious seafood! The service was okay and the ambiance was nice.

Yelp
We stopped at Tookie's during a dead night, but were not disappointed! The staff was quick to seat us, and the bar staff was eager to aid our requests to display the different sporting events we were trying to view. We started with the oyster trio, all three varieties were flavorful and complimented the cooked oysters. I then got the blackened redfish, both moist, mildly sweet, with the blackening seasoning adding the perfect amount of spice. Though not quite healthy with the amount of butter used, the grilled vegetables tasted fresh and bold! Definitely worth a stop when traveling along the gulf!

Yelp
The fam wanted to try a new restaurant today and opted for Tookie's based on reviews. The restaurant is very large and spacious w/ interesting and colorful decor. My family loves to get oysters so we got the oyster trio and were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful & decent sized the oysters were. My Louisiana stuffed catfish was well seasoned (slightly in the saltier side though) and the portions here are huge - I could only eat half of it and can make a whole separate meal out of my leftovers. My brother really liked his shrimp & state grits (the grits in the shape of Texas was a cute touch). The service was slightly on the slower side - we would ask our waitress for some things like extra lemons or to-go containers for the sauces our meals came with and it would take her at least 10 minutes to come back with those. Otherwise it was a good experience and we will be back!

Yelp
Came in for lunch. The place is spacious with dining on one side & a bar dining area on another side. Atmosphere is a casual, rustic sea vibe. Open kitchen from dining area. The service was good and the food for us & other tables came out shockingly quick. Crab cake was a little different with a crispy pan-fried exterior & then standard soft crab cake inside. Balanced seasoning & not too bready. Sauces on top & bottom were tasty. Pleased with side of veggies (mixed) that were sautéed & seasoned. Husband's Ahi tuna salad was good with medium rare tuna that had a little spiciness to it & dressing that complemented the dish. Was going to try a lighter dessert, key lime pie, but the server said their bread pudding was really really good. He was right!! It comes warmed in a cast iron skillet, with ice cream & some drizzled sauces & dollop of whipped cream that tasted home made. I usually skip ice cream & whip cream on desserts but don't alter this dessert. Try it as is. The white chocolate bread pudding is an absolute winner!!

Yelp
Cookies Seafood is a big place with a big menu. Everyone got a kick out of the big chair in the lobby. Pictures were taken! LOL Given we had a large group, we were pleased that service was top notch. Service extended to snapping a few photos of our entire group. Well done! I ordered Popeye's Spinach Salad. The mix of flavors, which included oranges, strawberries, pecans and shrimp, of course, was quite flavorful. Everyone got dessert, which was enjoyed by all. I ordered the Cookie Brownie, which was tasty and fancifully plated. It's worth stopping here if you're in the area.

Yelp
Best ever! Rocky's oysters and espárragos with crab and for dessert don't forget limon pay.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Mmmm Thursday crab legs delightful and ahi tuna was amazing. Service has always been good! And the atmosphere is relaxing

Angela A.

Yelp
Decided to do a staycation, because self care is always important! Tookie's Seafood was my dinner choice. The oyster trio was really good! A way to sample the different flavors they offer. They definitely know how to do chargrilled oysters! I had the crab clusters and loaded bake potato for my entree...a good and filling choice. Tookie"s is a family friendly restaurant and a very popular seafood spot. Service was really good, my waiter made sure I was good. Overall, I really enjoyed dinner!

Yelp
I was apprehensive after reading the reviews. Boy can different people have different experiences. Ours was amazing. We're in town for a weekend get away and always looking for great places to eat. We found another one! The place has a diner type of feel with the flair of high end seafood. You can watch the kitchen preparing food, and the servers and food runners make it all happen. Started off with our server Kyle being very attentive and greeting us right away. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini to drink and it was the tastiest I've ever had. So good, I had 2. We ordered the Boudain Balls. New to us and they sounded delicious. Well, they were absolutely delicious! Voodoo sauce was a perfect addition even though they didn't need any extra flavor to taste amazing. For our entree we ordered the shrimp blimpies. OMG. Seafood stuffed and deep fried. You need to cut these with a knife. Extraordinary! I like to watch people. As we sat there I watched the food runner, Dre work his tail off. That kid can carry a 50 lb tray of seafood with no issue. Great experience all around. Thank you Tookies.

Jasmine T.

Yelp
Service was great, we sat out in the covered patio, it was super hot outside but they had the patio closed, air conditioning was running so it didn't feel too hot! We had their calamari, gulf fresh oysters, Rocky's oysters, shoysters, shrimp Campechana, and battleship platter to share. Everything was fresh and delicious! The fresh oysters were generously sized and the chargrilled oysters were buttery, cheesy and delicious! Can't wait to come back for more oysters.

Bridget P.

Yelp
Great food. But we weren't at this one. We visited the other one that has great hamburgers. Great service and super fries!

William T.

Yelp
Service was good and the food was great. I liked all the flowers and landscaping. It was very inviting.

Charmayne W.

Yelp
Tookie's had been on our foodie wishlist for awhile & they did NOT disappoint. Our waiter Alvaro was so kind & attentive. He made sure we were filled up on our drinks & was patient while we decided on our order (TOO many wonderful options). Our food was delicious, absolutely no complaints! The restaurant definitely had personality & the ambiance wasn't loud but was filled with energy. Not surprised by its popularity, we will absolutely come back for more!

None Y.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service & decent prices I would definitely recommend this place

Cory F.

Yelp
I LOVE Tookies Hamburgers because they do creative things with the concept. Their seafood was disappointing because it was the standard middle of the road seafood, just at a high price... do something different, be creative, then the price may be worth it.

Jyreka N.

Yelp
I... love this place. We took the elevator, very clean inside. It was a 5-10 min wait for our table. No reservation needed, We sat and before we knew it the table was ready. Josh V was fantastic. Very patient and professional. We had alot more questions than usual about the bar drinks and food specialities. Every other thing had pork in it. (If you've read my past reviews you know that's on my no-no list.) But he broke it down and gave recommendations. It was so clean and spacious in there! The entire vibe was just very pleasant. No complaints. The portions were good & large. The food was fresh, very very fresh seafood. (I can't stress how fresh my catfish was--ill put in like this, if it was un seasoned you'd swear you took a bite out of the cast of the little mermaid.)

Nikki N.

Yelp
My first time & just ah-mazing!! Cleanliness of the restaurant was surprising. They played good music & it wasn't too loud. My waitress Sloane was very nice. From the time she greeted us to the paying of the check. She has a bright spirit that made us feel very welcome. The food!! I got the oyster trio. It was perfection! So good. I also got the calamari & it's likely the best I've had in a long time. I got a popeye salad to go & red beans. I will definitely be back. I have found a gem.

Peter D.

Yelp
Tookie's has ALL THE SEAFOOD. Doesn't matter what you're looking for: oysters, crab, lobster, catfish, white fish, tuna, salmon, trout, crawfish...they've got it, and you can get it all prepared just about any way you can think of. Personally, I was in the mood for shrimp, and the Shrimp Platter here is SERIOUS, with five different kinds of shrimp: 1. Fried. You know what it is, and they do it right. 2. Blackened. Also standard, also quite good. 3. Scampi. Delicious, and they came swimming in sauce that was excellent on everything everyone else at the table left me to eat as well. 4. Shrimp Blimps. New to me; this is shrimp stuffed with seafood stuffing, and deep fried. My least favorite of the five options, if we're being honest, but still worth eating. I think it needed a little seasoning. 5. Squealers. Shrimp stuffed with beach ball stuffing and jalapeño and wrapped in bacon. I've never heard them called this, but it's bacon-wrapped shrimp, with some extra flavor. There's nothing not to like here. I also got a chance to eat raw oysters (fresh and tasty), Nola oysters (what I would call chargrilled, which is one of my favorite things), the excellent asparagus I got along with my platter, and the ahi tuna tacos, which were quite good as well. If you're not already on board with Tookie's, I'm not sure what to tell you. I think they've got chicken too, but that seems like the wrong move when seafood is in the name.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Food was cold. Fried fish had more coating than it had fish. Paid a lot of money for food I couldn't even finish. Spoke with manager and she had a "so what?" attitude. There are much better seafood restaurants in this area. I would recommend definitely staying away from this one!

Daniela T.

Yelp
Service at the bar was great! Kevincito and Leticia brought great joy to my family and me!! What an awesome staff

Catherine B.

Yelp
I didn't select specialties only appetizers. I was pleased with the service and the quality of foods ordered. They also have a private party room. I would recommend this restaurant, absolutely.

Angela R.

Yelp
We loved our experience. Clean restaurant that didn't smell fishy. Oyster trio was delicious. The service was amazing and our food was made and delivered quickly. We will definitely be back.

Gregory H.

Yelp
I come here, sit at the bar and watch my Oyster being shucked and the steamed snow crad clusters. Excellent ambience and service

Clark A.

Yelp
My wife and I visited here yesterday, and had a generally positive experience, except for the noise. Calamari was very fresh, and there was a LOT of it, considering the price. My wife had the grilled snow crab, and said it was the best she'd ever had. It was also quite large. I had the snapper with ponchartrain sauce - which was okay. The fish was a little dry, though nicely cooked, and it needed more sauce. However, the place got really LOUD. There was a birthday group there making ridiculous noise. Acoustics are less than ideal. Otherwise, it would be nice if the restaurant could tone-down the political art (restaurants should be free of politics and religion).

Melissa G.

Yelp
We joined my Son for his birthday dinner here on a Saturday evening around 6:30. This was my first time here. The restaurant is nice from the outside and does have an elevator for guests to use. The entrance area was very open with bench seating. I checked in at the hostess station at about 6:15. The clock started. I also brought a cake with me and asked if they could put it in a cooler area, because the lobby was a little warmer than I expected. We were to have a party of 15, but some people decided to cancel last minute, so we ended up with 12. They do not take reservations, but you can call ahead 1 hour before the time you want to arrive and they'll put you on a waitlist. After you arrive, they won't seat you until your entire party arrives. I have to say that this policy that restaurants are adapting, just erks me. So, plan ahead and make sure all of your guests arrive at the same time. We were finally seated about five minutes after 7. Our waiter was nice. Drink and food arrived promptly with little wait. The food selection is wide and has a little something for everyone, including those who don't eat seafood. We ordered boudin balls and a crab cake for appetizers. Both were delicious! The boudin is a little spicy, but yummy. The crab cake was seasoned perfectly. I ordered the redfish with the pontchartrain sauce. It came with veggies and rice. When my meal arrived it looked delicious! However, the fish and added sauce were rather bland. All the seasoning was in the rice. It was almost too spicy to eat, so I scooped up a little rice with a bite of fish and that tasted ok. My other half ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits came out in the shape of Texas! Very cool! I got a sample bite from him and it was all delicious! One of our friends ordered the fried alligator for her meal and they were ok. Not much seasoning to those either. When it came time to bring the cake out, I told our waiter that we should talk about it. I wanted to get it out of the box before it came to the table with the decoration and candle added. Instead, he just brought it out, so that kinda blew the surprise of a fairly expensive cake. He also pushed the box against the cake, so the icing got messed up on one side. Thank goodness the cake was still delicious. Lol I didn't get a chance to check out the bathroom but the restaurant was clean. It is loud, so if you're looking for a quiet ambiance, this isn't a place you want to go. Overall, I would give 4 stars, but I was disappointed in my expensive meal, how loud it was and our waiter just not following instructions about the cake. I "might " give Tookies Seafood another chance, but not anytime soon which makes me sad, because I LOVE Tookies Burger restaurant.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Sorry there ms no pictures But before we moved from Seabrook this was a regular on our list. The selection of fried, grilled, blackened fish, seafood is delicious. My favorite is the crawfish etouffe! We loved the appetizer of crab fingers and the catfish is my hubby favorite. My son loved the fried crawfish tails as well. Now let's talk service. Servers have always been attentive and drink selections is great! Great coastal ambience with nautical feel. Family dining and they do have some tables outdoors on the porch if you want to dine out under the sky.

Gyasi H.

Yelp
Was in the area and came here off of a suggestion. Had the lobster bisque and the shrimp platter. No complaints on the bisque. It was creamy, full of meat, and delicious. The shrimp platter was a nice variety and my favorite were the bacon wrapped. Fries were crisp, but nothing amazing, while the rice looked good but didn't have much of a taste. Nothing the sauce from the scampi couldn't fix. Service was okay, but not outstanding. I liked the decor and atmosphere and will come back on my next trip.

Misty P.

Yelp
This is my favorite seafood restaurant in the area. I love the crab legs. I highly recommend Tookies!

Smith Family O.

Yelp
Casual ambience with great service. Our server Nick was attentive and our food selections were wonderful. This was our first time at this Tookies restaurant. We've been to the others. We started out with the spinach and artichoke dip with the crab on the side so the taste wasn't overpowering, as well as Oysters on the half shell and stuffed mushrooms. All the appetizers were delicious. The wrapped shrimp with the rice and veggies were delicious as were the other entrees. They have a large variety of menu options available for everyone's taste. The sweet tea is also on point. It was too cold to have an adult beverage but we will definitely be back. We all recommend this establishment and can't wait to visit during the summer months to enjoy the outdoor seating area. This location for sure is our preferred location. It has better service and friendly staff. We didn't feel rushed at all and truly enjoyed our visit here.

JadyMarie D.

Yelp
We have visited Tookie's Seafood many times. The food is always delicious and the portions are large enough for left overs. The service has always been excellent all around. We have dined in with small and large parties and the wait staff was effectively able to keep everything organized. If you are in the area, there is a mess with the construction near by... but don't let that discourage you from trying the food.

Don B.

Yelp
Was in the area for business and decided to have dinner here. Service was good. Was fairly busy, somewhat loud, but not too loud. Had a 22 ounce local beer on tap - it was very good. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi. It was brought out pretty quickly - served with rice and mixed vegetables. Overall the dinner was good, sizes appropriate, and service was attentive. A little pricey maybe, but I would expect that for the area, and being a touristy type restaurant.

Helene S.

Yelp
Great place for seafood in Kemah with family or friends. Extensive menu. Shrimp. Fish. Oysters. Salads. PoBoys...and chicken and burgers for those who don't eat things that live in the sea. Had the fish tacos cooked three ways. Grilled, blacked and fried. Substituted mahi-mahi for tilapia. The grilled and blackened were delicious. Served with black beans and Southern rice. So good! Surprised how large and open Tookie's is inside. Large tables are available to accommodate groups. Make a reservation and if you are lucky, Anthony will be your waiter. He did a great job with our group. Kept track of separate checks, drink orders and multiple substations. Service with a smile. So fun also to watch the Game 2 of the 2022 World Series. Big screen TVs. Extra base hits. Home run. 6 1/3 innings. Cheering together while enjoying great food. Thanks for a meal and a game to remember. Let's Go ASTROS!

Melissa S.

Yelp
The place is large, so there is lots of seating. They have a happy hour drink and food selection. The staff is friendly. The calamari is twnder, and the Cajun dishes are tasty. I found the fried shrimp to be plain, but the tarter sauce helps. The raw oysters were delicious. They have a huge chair in the front of the restaurants to climb up into for a fun photo op. They have funny tee shirts & other souvenirs

Pat D.

Yelp
Food is great, went to celebrate a new car. Enjoy the viewing of oysters being cooked.

Emma U.

Yelp
Love the crab. Thats all i had. Okay??? Wow I need a lot of words It was GREAT CRAB LEGS

Kelly W.

Yelp
We sat in the bar area. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the casual environment. Our server was friendly and efficient, too.

Armando T.

Yelp
Food was great the service was spot on fora busy restaurant and the ambiance was good like being at a backyard bar b cue

Yelp
Food was excellent. Our server was the kindest young lady. A nice casual restaurant with good food.

James K.

Yelp
We ear ther nearly every Thursday night. The food is really delicious! We go on Thursdays because of the giant snow crab legs special.

Josué A.

Yelp
Good food, decent price. No complaints here. Almost no wait time to be seated as there are many seats.

Denise B.

Yelp
Food was okay. Service was okay. We had to ask several times for water, horseradish, etc. Fun atmosphere for the bday celebration. No wait.

Tammy B.

Yelp
Awesome food and service!! The place was great and kid friendly. Our server was wonderful. Will definitely eat there agin when I'm in town!!!

Florence A.

Yelp
Amazing food! First time trying the food here. We got it to go being it was kind of late and didn't have the energy to be out to eat. Its a nice spot, very spacious and well kept. The woman who took our order was very sweet and friendly. Friendly staff as well when we went to pick up our dinner. I ordered the the mahi mahi entree which came with rice and veggies. The husband ordered the steak and shrimp that came with a baked potato and veggies. Seriously flavored and cooked to perfection. Don't forget the dessert, i got the white chocolate bread pudding it comes with vanilla ice cream. My husband got the cheesecake and it was delicious. Their website provides a menu and pricing which was helpful when making a to-go order.

Richard M.

Yelp
Food was amazing as always. Service was awesome as well. Had the shrimp, best in area.

Anastasia E.

Yelp
My parents love this place. I liked coming here for the happy hour since they used to have the cupcake moscato (which is a sweet dessert wine) for 1/2 price all day Wednesday. Nowadays, I enjoy going to accompany my parents on separate and joint occasions. I like getting the dozen oyster on the half shell, and more recently the snow crab on Thursdays. I have had and liked the pasta la vista before, it goes so well with the sautéed mussel. Trust me. My parents also like the sautéed mussels, the spinach artichoke crab dip, the garlic bread that comes with the mussel, they've tried the Parmesan crusted oyster and the calamari once and didn't really care for them. I really like the ambience of being close to the lake, there have been plenty of times where we sat out on the patio and have enjoyed the nice weather. It's a nice refuge to be away from the hustle and bustle of Houston city life. The restrooms are always clean & I always joke that it's a dinner and a show when we sit inside because the grill is always cookin' somethin up. The only thing I have disliked about this place in the past is that the service can be so and so depending on the time and day that you come. One waitress made hot tea for my Mom on our first time there last year, while others whom we have asked thereafter have flat out said we don't serve it then walk away. While some offered their house tea without ice. That is my only caveat. My parents have always made it a rule to always tip 15% regardless of the service so , I can't complain when most of the time I'm not picking up the bill. P.S. Get the crème brûlée, you won't regret it!
