Fantastic Thai food! We ordered 3 Pad Thais with Chicken and a Tom Yum soup with mixed seafood. They were all delicious and well prepared. One of our friends has an egg allergy and the friendly and understanding staff took extra precautions to ensure their food didn’t have any. Will be returning!

Food and ambience were great. The gentleman who seated us was very nice. Our waitress was a little rude and kept rushing us. Overall, great place, would definitely come back here. Food is 10 out of 10.

i’ve been wanting to go and try out this place and after visiting the place i was a little disappointed considering this place is in new york. They have a total of 4 vegetarian/vegan entrees and 2 appetizers. Our server was great but there were times when half through the meal other servers would come to our table and just try to take the plate even though there is food in it. One thing i would say is they have great drinks so it is definitely a place to try both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

Nice restaurant with very cute decor. Food was average for Thai food in the city with nothing outstanding. Some pieces of my steak were very chewy. Service was ok. The napkins were very thin and of poor quality like takeout places. They only give each person one very thin piece and upon asking for extra because we ordered the roti which required using our hands, we were presented with exactly 2 extra thin pieces (party of 2). This lack of attention to detail was such a bummer for a food service establishment. I will not be returning given the plethora of great Thai places in the city.

The absolute best Thai food in NYC, and best of all it’s halal! I cannot recommend Top Thai enough, incredible flavors, top notch fast service and a really fun vibe to sit in and eat, something for everyone to enjoy here!

Top 55 Thai Carmine exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, with beautiful decor that sets the perfect tone for an authentic Thai experience. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. The Pad Thai and Green Curry were particularly outstanding, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every detail is taken care of. This restaurant truly stands out for its exceptional food, great ambiance, and superb service. Highly recommended for anyone craving an unforgettable Thai dining experience!

Love the decorations and atmosphere! We were able to get seated within a few minutes. I liked how they verbally asked if there were any dietary restrictions in addition to stating on paper. Our food did not take too long to come out as well. There are both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks!

Disappointing Experience at Top Thai 55 Carmine Our recent visit to Top Thai 55 Carmine in New York was, unfortunately, anything but enjoyable. We were initially drawn to the charming exterior, which looked inviting and photogenic—a promising sign, we thought. However, that positive impression quickly faded once we stepped inside. As we approached the main entrance, we were met by a woman standing directly in our path. Her demeanor was far from welcoming, staring at us with an expression that felt almost scrutinizing. When I opened the door and requested a table for three, her response was terse, and her tone felt unnecessarily rude as she asked if we needed a highchair for our baby. Despite this initial chilliness, we proceeded to our table with hopes for an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, those hopes were further dampened. It took approximately 15 minutes for our waiter to approach us, despite the restaurant not being busy at the time. When our food arrived unusually quickly after ordering, we were initially pleased, thinking service might improve. But upon tasting the dishes, it became apparent that the food had likely been pre-cooked and reheated. The lack of freshness was undeniable—the flavors felt flat, and the texture suggested that the dishes had been prepared earlier in the day and simply warmed up to extreme heat, perhaps to mask this fact. Another particularly unpleasant moment occurred when our baby, intrigued by a small decorative tuk-tuk, innocently reached for it. Rather than politely explaining that it was off-limits, our waiter abruptly removed it from her hands, causing her to cry. I found this approach to be unnecessarily harsh, especially towards a young child. At the end of our meal, the billing process added yet another layer of frustration. We were presented with two separate receipts—one with a 5% discount for cash payment and the other without a discount for card payment. Both receipts included an automatic 15% tip, which was added without any prior notice. While tipping is customary, it felt inappropriate here, especially since the service was far from deserving of an automatic gratuity. When establishments rely on pre-added tips, it often diminishes the incentive for quality service, which was certainly the case here. With a bill around $100, the quality of the food and service felt unjustifiably overpriced. To top it all off, as we left the restaurant, the same woman who had been at the door earlier was again standing in our path, watching us leave with a stony expression, offering no farewell, no thank you, and no hint of appreciation for our patronage. In summary, Top Thai 55 Carmine left us thoroughly disappointed. The unfriendly service, subpar food quality, and unwelcoming atmosphere make it a place I would not recommend, especially to families. Dining out should be a pleasant experience, and regrettably, this establishment fell short in nearly every way.
