Farmhouse ales, sours, and Belgian-style brews on tap
"Compared to some of the city’s other great breweries, Transmitter is pretty low-key. It's located in the back of a food hall in the Navy Yard that’s never too busy, and the $16 set flight comes with two of our favorite beers here (the only slightly sweet hibiscus orange wit, and the highly drinkable corn ale). There’s space to sit outside and you can bring your own food. Just keep in mind that this place closes at 8pm, so it’s best for a post-work happy hour or day drinking on the weekend." - molly fitzpatrick, bryan kim, willa moore, will hartman, neha talreja
"It’s possible you’ve had Transmitter Brewing’s beer at a bar or purchased it from the grocery store, but we recommend a flight straight from the source. Transmitter is also dog-friendly, and they allow outside food, in case you want to stop by for some Wegmans food court sushi before. Just keep in mind that the brewery closes at 8pm, so it’s best for a post-work happy hour, or day drinking on the weekend." - Willa Moore
