"It’s possible you’ve had Transmitter Brewing’s beer at a bar or purchased it from the grocery store, but we recommend a flight straight from the source. Compared to some of the city’s other breweries, Transmitter is pretty relaxed. It's located in the back of a food hall in the Navy Yard that’s never too busy. The $16 set flight comes with two of our favorite beers here, the only slightly sweet hibiscus orange wit, and the highly drinkable corn ale. photo credit: Willa Moore There’s an outdoor space that looks out onto the Navy Yard, and if you squint hard enough through the cranes and shipping containers, you can even see the water. Transmitter is also dog-friendly, and they allow outside food, in case you want to stop by for some Wegmans food court sushi before. Just keep in mind that the brewery closes at 8pm, so it’s best for a post-work happy hour, or day drinking on the weekend." - Willa Moore
