Best Pizzas in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, North Carolina - Eater Carolinas

"Is there a better combination than pizza and beer? Raleigh’s award-winning Trophy Brewing started offering pizza at its West Morgan Street brewpub a few years ago and never looked back. Specialty pies include the Low ‘n Slow (with barbacoa, chipotle barbecue sauce, and avocado salsa), the Most Loyal (roasted chicken, basil pesto, and honey), or the Farmers’ Market (curried cauliflower puree, mushrooms, shaved Brussels sprouts, grilled onions, and jerk sauce). For fans of heat, take a bite of the Daredevil, a spicy red sauce pie with ghost pepper salami, jalapeno, and Sriracha in addition to mozzarella and caramelized onions. Those in the know, though, show up on Mondays or Tuesdays for the not-so-secret special Detroit-style pizza, a square pan pizza with a loyal following. Whichever pie customers go for, they will have the full range of Trophy’s beers available to wash it all down." - Matt Lardie

Senator Kamala Harris Visited Raleigh Restaurant Trophy Brewing Company - Eater Carolinas

"Senator Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, visited Raleigh, North Carolina on Sept. 28 and stopped by microbrewery/restaurant Trophy Brewing Company. The company is known for using vintage trophies for displays, tap handles, and overall decoration. Harris presented the co-owners Chris Powers, David Woody Lockwood, David Meeker with an MVP trophy for their new case. Right before the COVID pandemic, the team renovated the 827 West Morgan Street location to include a built-in trophy case. Harris’ gift would be the first one to go into the display." - Erin Perkins

Trophy Brewing & Pizza - Review - North Boylan - Raleigh - The Infatuation

"There are three Trophy locations—one hosts food trucks, another has a bar food menu—but when you want arguably the best pizza in Raleigh, head to the third location on Morgan. You can choose a specialty pie like the Local Celebrity (corn base, fontina, tomato, cheerwine-braised brisket, and jalapeño pesto) or The Indoor Kid (garlic herb cream sauce, spinach, artichokes, provolone, and parmesan), or make your own. Regardless of what you choose, it’ll go perfectly with one of their beers on tap." - Christine Byrne

While not what I would call a traditional pizza place, the pizza and appetizers were phenomenal and the beer was on point. We had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips which seemed to be freshly fried. Perfect sharing size while not too heavy to ruin your dinner. The make your own pizza, while a little spendy…is worth it. We went with the garlic herb cream sauce with mozzarella, pesto chicken, bacon, and mushrooms. It was legit. Perfect pairing with a light cold crisp beer.

Among many, this is a place that must be in your list. Do not hesitate trying it, they have really delicious pizzas. Most importantly, this might be one of the best brewing stores in Raleigh. They have Pilsner, Amber, Porter, Lager and a few others. I highly recommend trying it out!

Google
Their pizza is phenomenal. So good. I had the Most Outgoing pizza and my kid had just cheese and sausage. The service was slow, but the waitress felt bad and got us an appetizer for free to apologize. It wasn't a big deal cause we had nowhere to be so we could take our time. We will definitely be coming back!

We went here for dinner and had a very good experience. We ordered their "Local Celebrity", "Most Loyal" and "the Dare Devil". All pizzas were great, but my favourite was the Dare Devil. It was unlike any other pizzas I ever had - spicy and jalapeno-y and tangy. Most Loyal was somewhat of a let down with the honey. But, it was okay. We also had a couple of their beers - Foeder Red and another - I forget the name - which was a non-alcoholic pilsner. Tasty stuff. I will definitely come back here when I'm back in town.

What an incredible fun, warm and cozy neighborhood vibe. We always LOVE it at Trophy Brewing and probably stop by at least 2x a week. Every single time is top-top in menu, service, friendly and inviting atmosphere. A true neighborhood feel as well as excellent quality ever time. Nice atmosphere. I love the outdoor seating and fireplaces. It’s nice that you can make a reservation. The staff is pretty good. The pizza has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes I feel it’s undercooked but recently I have started asking for it to be cooked longer and I like it a lot better now.

Google
Overall Score: 4.3/10 – A brewery and pizza place with a large but uninspired interior, friendly staff, and disappointing menu execution. Atmosphere and Service: 4.5/10 – The space is large and fairly busy, but the interior is extremely basic, lacking any standout personality or culture. The outdoor seating area is a nice addition, and the extra room with open doors provides a refreshing option. However, the metal chairs create loud noise when moved, adding to an unpleasant environment. The server was friendly but offered only minimal service, handling basic tasks like refilling water and taking orders. The menu is only available online, which can be awkward to navigate and may frustrate those who prefer paper menus. Loaded Tater Tots: 4.6/10 – These tots were good but very basic, offering nothing special. The texture was disappointing as the tots were not crispy, turning them into mashed potatoes. The dish felt like something that could easily be made at home using frozen tots and cheese. For the price, this option did not feel like a good value. Cheese Pizza: 2.3/10 – This pizza was a major disappointment, especially given that pizza is the core focus of the restaurant. The flavor resembled that of a frozen pizza, with a thick, doughy base and minimal sauce. The menu’s size options were frustrating, only offering either a 9-inch or 18-inch, which felt limiting. A more typical 14–16-inch option would have been better suited. The price was also high for such a basic, underwhelming product.

Yelp
We were making a pitstop in Raleigh on a two week road trip and knew we had to come back to the trophy room to have some great beer as well as check out the pizza. The last time we were here they had exceptionally good wings and we wanted to make sure it would happen again! . We are happy to report that the food was absolutely just delicious as we remembered when we were here back in June. My husband ordered the dry rub wings with the garlic sauce on the side. It was absolutely perfect! I opted for the indoor kid pizza, which was a nice mix of mozzarella with tomatoes and a little bit of sweetness. Really delicious pizza and I love that the personal size pizza, are just the perfect size for someone to be full but not feeling bloated. Also tried the Wildberry tart pop sour very fruit forward. Definitely reallyenjoyed that.

Yelp
We made reservations weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were seated at the smallest of tables, right next to the restroom. I requested to be moved away from there to a larger table, maybe a hi-top. So we were moved, without any issue, but honestly, that was not even a spot were I would put a table. The patio outside looked great. The beer selection was good, not great. The pizza was very good. The service was good, as well.

Yelp
In full disclosure, I was here for a special event and not sit-down service. Our group had a little area off to ourselves. We could redeem drink tickets for a beer and they brought out pizzas for us. Parking was challenging since the lot right behind them is only open to restaurant patrons after a certain hour. I ended up parking on a nearby residential street. I will say the beer was good and the pizza was decent. By the time I left, the place was packed midweek and there was a line to get in. Pretty popular with the locals, I'd say.

Yelp
Good pizza - lots of creative toppings/combinations - and nice selection of local beers. Service was great and the hostess was kind enough to let us move our reservation *twice* due to my delayed incoming flight. Look forward to returning next time I'm in Raleigh!

Yelp
We got the farmers market and margarita pizza and the pistachio cannoli. Food was good but the pizza was super overpriced for the portion size. Would not recommend.

Yelp
I make a lot of pizza but I'm always looking to try someone else's for ideas and inspiration.  We decided to head over to Trophy for their Detroit style which we'd never had. The atmosphere and service were great and the beers were solid.  With the idea of having plenty to bring home, we ordered the Detroit Style (Mon & Tue only) with Ghost Pepper Salami and a large Build Your Own with Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella Blend, Cup + Char Pepperoni, and Bell Pepper. We had no real basis for the Detroit other than reading descriptions online.  The crust was a bit dense and boring.  It was loaded with cheese but had barely any sauce to offset the richness.  The salami was the only positive flavor.  You don't get much for the price but if I enjoyed it, I wouldn't have cared.  Overall, it was OK but not something I'd order again. The regular pizza was a bigger disappointment.  Most of their pre-set pizzas have lots of creative toppings which in retrospect, seems to show a focus on something other than a solid foundation.  The base was dense and lifeless.  Maybe a bad dough day but even the outer crust had little to no air inside.  Unfortunately they gave us the regular pepperoni instead of the cup + char I ordered which was a big disappointment.  I'm not really a pepperoni fan but I wanted to try the old-style pepperoni of my childhood.  And there was lots of it yet very little bell pepper.  I would have preferred the opposite.  There wasn't anything to really like about the pizza. It's rare that I have pizza that I really don't want another slice of.  I ended up spending about $75 for the two of us and the worst of it was, I had LOTS of regrettable pizza to take home.

Yelp
The beer was really good. Nothing ground shattering but at least 3.5 out of 5 and above on all beers! The selection of different styles and tastes was impressive for the smaller location. The Local Celebrity pizza will go down in my top 10 pizzas ever. The other pizza was just okay. The service was very friendly but something was just off a little bit especially for as slow as they were. I can see how this place would be hopping during the school year and a lot of fun given its location. The outside seating was nice given it was a lively day. Ok never remarked on the plates at a restaurant/brewery before but they were really cool! Totally pottery barn aesthetic!!

Yelp
My spirit animal? Probably a raccoon dragging pizza out of a dumpster. Pizza and beer are two of life's simplest pleasures. And Trophy serves ridiculously radiant radiuses and seriously scrumptious suds of the Boldest order. So solid, every time -- and I've been about a dozen times. Pictured: the Best Dressed and the Most Loyal. The lamb sausage and rockin 'ronis combine for full-hearted bites on the Best Dressed. While the ripe Romas and sweet honey sing loudest on the Most Loyal. I can also endorse the brussels sprouts, peppercorn ranch, and Cloud Surfer IPA. Consistently good service, vibey atmosphere, and attention to detail -- from the laser-etched glassware to the memorable beer/pizza names. It's a place where you don't count carbs; you make carbs count.

Yelp
Pizza tasted amazing! Not my first time coming here, but the food was awesome! Definitely recommend. Service was super quick and attendant was nice!

Yelp
There is certainly one thing better than finding a comfortable neighborhood patio to sit down for a drink, one that can serve a proper old fashioned. The old fashioned is one of the oldest cocktails in the book, with the first recipe being printed in 1895. It is a simple recipe made with simple ingredients, served over ice in an old-fashioned glass, also known as a lowball or rocks glass. Any attempted alterations to this simple recipe usually results in a good glass of SWILL. Trophy brewing can serve a quality brew within the temp range of 36 to 40 degrees, but they don't even serve and old fashioned over ice and nobody likes a warm cocktail on a 95 degree day. I was at least hoping for a delicious hummus appetizer and although they do serve a delicious garlic hummus, they do it no justice by serving it with the thick and dried out pita bread. I am a fan of the open aired patio, the wonderful service and excellent ambiance, but the food and drink doesn't seem to raise any flags at this point! Cheers!

Nice place with good beer and great pizzas, highly recommended for the service and to enjoy with friends.

Yelp
The OG Trophy Brewing in Raleigh has built itself a reputation for unique and delicious pizzas. Definitely a place I would bring anyone from out of town to spend a weekend lunch/afternoon together. For my meat lovers, I recommend the Daredevil and for those who enjoy a lighter variety (like me), go for Most Outgoing.
google avatar

Yelp
We love just cheese pizza. It's large, but my husband and I eat what we can and take the rest home for lunch the next day.

Yelp
We came here for a corporate event at dinner and were seated in a private room. I had a Trophy Farmhouse Lager which was pretty good. For apps, we had wings, cauliflower bites, and Brussels sprouts. By myself, I likely would not have ordered them as they were a bit overpriced but money is not a consideration when the company is paying for it :) The fried honey glazed Brussels sprouts were hands down the best I've ever tasted, and the cauliflower was not far behind. That being said, we ordered several pizzas to share, and I was not impressed. The mozzarella on the Margherita pizza easily slipped off the pizza, leaving me to eat it a la carte - a sentiment echoed by others in our party. The "Most Loyal" pizza consisting of chicken, pesto, and mozzarella was about average, and this was my favorite of the three slices I had. I forget the third one I ate, but it was barely edible, and I'd usually eat mostly anything. The pizza left a lot to be desired, while the appetizers and beer covered on their end. I'd probably come back here for happy hour, maybe not dinner.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Absolutely friendly service, delicious app bites, and great brews! A brewery worth coming to especially if you're visiting! If you aren't super hungry and want a couple of things to munch on, highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower bites, and focaccia bread. The sprouts leave a perfectly crisp crunch as you bite into it. If you like a ton of flavors bursting in your mouth, highly recommend ordering the sprouts. The cauliflower bites were cooked at the right amount of crispiness and the sauce gave it a mellow tangy flavor. Last but not least, the focaccia bread was fire! The whipped ricotta melts in your mouth leaving such a taste of heaven. Order the honey cider.. tastes like summer and gives off lightweight soft resiling taste. Loved the vibes, the service, and ambiance! Thanks Trophy!

Yelp
Trophy is one of our go-to pizza joints in Raleigh. We absolutely love the creativity and vibes of this place. The pizza is delicious, the drinks are refreshing, they're dog friendly, the staff is helpful - what more could you ask for? Only reason I'd give 4 stars is because the pizza crust can be a little bland, but I'd recommend Trophy to anyone popping into Raleigh if they get the chance.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and great drinks! However, I'd avoid the whipped ricotta appetizer: it's tasty but not quite worth the pricing (if there'd been a bit more to it though, it'd be worth it, the bread that came with it was delicious!).

Yelp
I took my daughter to Trophy tonight for her first post 21 brewery visit there. I generally love Troohy, but tonight they weren't at the top of their game. The beers at Trophy are decent, but not as good as they were in the past. The Daredevil pizza was absolutely outstanding. I want more, hours after finishing it. The taproom itself is very cool. They've upgraded over the years and it's a very cool spot to sit and hang out. My only issue was the service. Our server was a bit apathetic and flat. She didn't really seem to care about giving us a quality experience. That said, The guy that delivered our pizza, and I don't know if he was a host, or a manager, inadvertently, knocked over my daughter's water and broke the glass. Rather than worrying about whether or not we got anything on us, his first concern was whether or not my daughter was hurt or cut by the glass. Very cool. He could not have been more accommodating or concerned. He immediately cleaned up the glass, wiped up the water, and made sure that we were OK. Again, Very cool! Overall, I will absolutely continue to go back to trophy, I just wasn't that impressed by our server this evening. Go for the pizza, go for the beer, but don't expect to be wowed by the service. I'm hoping she was just having an off night as I know the company has higher expectations for their level of service.

Yelp
Drinks, food, and vibe were awesome. The meat on the pizza was spicy but it was still v good. The brussel sprouts were delicious and the beer was even better. Great playlist the entire time

Yelp
Service and ambiance were great!! I have Nothing negative to say. Everything came really quick. They have a lot of seating and I think this is a great place for families, for friends, etc. I also thought the beer list was good! They have a good variety. I also LOVE the food menu. There is a great variety with the pizzas and the flavor combinations are super creative. That's why I was so excited to come here!! However, I have to admit this was not my favorite pizza. I thought their tomato sauce could have been more flavorful. I thought the same thing about the cheese. And the whole pizza was a little moist, probably because there were a lot of vegetables on it. I'm a pizza snob but I was hoping for better pizza execution!!!
google avatar

Lindsay B.

Yelp
These pizzas are massive and the flavors are top tier! I love their flavor combinations because it is so fun to try something outside the box. It was so easy to order online and pick up our order at the door. There's a ton of outdoor seating which is nice for the cooler weather coming up. They have salads, small plates, pizza and beer! I absolutely love the Most Loyal pizza - basil pesto, mozzarella, roma tomato, roasted chicken, and that honey drizzle on top just ties everything together. My second favorite pizza is the Daredevil - fire roasted tomato sauce, ghost pepper salami, mozzarella, jalapeno, caramelized onion, and chipotle honey. I honestly don't think you can go wrong. This is a neighborhood pizza joint but BETTER. So much better. Go here, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Came here for two of my favorite things, beer and wood fired pizza. Only one went well. I was not at all impressed with the pizza mostly due to its dough. The base was about a ¼" thick and not crisp at all. Wood fired pizza should be thin and crispy. The crust edge was only about 1/2" thick. The bottom and crust showed no signs of the typical black hot spots normally found on wood pizza but was a dull uniform light beige. I figured when I got it this was just how they made pizza there. But then other people near me got pizza, and I noted theirs were very different. They had proper thin bases, some blackening of the crust and a proper airy wide outer crust. By the time I noticed this it was too late to send mine back as I was almost done eating it. But I was really disturbed so on the way out I looked and other tables and found they had similar pizzas, thin crispy crust, some blackening, and nice airy full outer crusts. The sauce was good, the toppings were good but a bit thin, including the cheese. The beer was quite good and the staff was very pleasant. But I look at this pizza and think it was not great to start with, but then that every other pizza looked much better made, I felt that it was another failing that no one in the kitchen stopped in from being served. No one looked at it and said, this is not up to the normal standard, remake it. Which is a major failing especially when it cost $18 for a small, 9" pizza with 2 toppings. Normally I would have given Trophy 4 stars, but the failure of the pizza, the fact that the one they served me was not consistent with the other ones I saw, cost them a star, as it tells me that they cannot be trusted to be consistent. Come for the beer, don't trust the food.

Yelp
I visited Raleigh from Tampa on 8/5 for a family event. We ate here as there aren't many breweries with food in this city. Firstly, I was able to eat outside which was only mildly uncomfortable with the heat, comparatively to Tampa. The outdoor atmosphere was great; plenty of seating and although close to the road, traffic was quiet. Service was great considering it was a Saturday night and both indoors and outdoors were packed. The pizza was a little too greasy for me, but I'm still giving it 5 stars since it's just how I like it: thin and crispy. I'm assuming the excess cheese and oversized pepperoni made it that way. The beer was good with a variety of choices for each member of the family. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone who likes beer and pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
great outdoor seating options , pizza and beer menu were great- though note they are always changing! a little pricey but overall recommend.

Yelp
30 minutes wait for a to-go order. Was told it wasn't ready and to come back. Didn't offer me a seat inside to wait, order a beer, or even a glass of water. Picked up the pie and the pic is what I received. It had been a while since the last time I went here, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Now I remember why. The crust was even flavorless, which is bizarre for a pizza from a brewery. Those places are usually a go-to for a starter. Toppings were pretty good, but the base of the pizza and the service were both lacking. Too much good pizza in Raleigh to waste $13.50 + tax/tip for a small one topping pie. The Best Dressed had flavorful toppings and was pretty good once you spread them out from the puddle in the center.

Yelp
TROPHYYYYYYYYY!!! Absolutely ADORE this place. Great atmosphere, staff, beer. My coworkers and I came here after work to let off some steam, catch up on personal life. We not only had a great time, but bought some of their merch while we were there! Awesome designs on their shirts and sweatshirts. All around a banner experience and I cannot wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Food here was truly top notch. The pizza toppings are inventive and well thought out, and the crust is really pleasant. It has a crust but the outer layer isn't so thick that you can't bite through easily. I loved the experience. Drink list is fine but if you're looking for a more extensive list this may not be the place, but I got the prickly pear sour and it was an absolutely delight. That COLOR!!! Really light and refreshing. Would have that again for sure! Table mates had some brown ales that I didn't take note of, but for pizza I had the Most Outgoing which was very tasty. I was on the fence about the Brie and did find it to be overwhelming when I got a lot in one bite, but that's my personal preference as Brie is not my favorite cheese. Others at the table had the Indoor Kid (the jalapeños were spicier than any of us could handle-- must have had a strong batch this year) which was just okay and not the crowd favorite especially after removing the jalapeños. The Best Dressed was an easy choice as it looked incredible with the LAMB sausage, and it's a great option if you like a lot of meat. If I could go again here's what I would get: Small Plates of wings, garlic twists, southern charcuterie Pizzas: Most Loyal, Margherita, Farmers Market or Local Celebrity for something fun to try The salads also look great and I'd love to try the Arugula for sure. The arugula on my pizza was a perfect finishing touch. This place has a seriously legit menu that I wish I could have tried more of. Hope to be back in this city soon!

Yelp
Trophy Brewing was a brewery I got to try in the era of the pandemic. Truth be told I think I've tried more breweries than ever during this time thanks to buying cans and bottles, curbside pick up and beer in the mail services. Just the last several months going into last year does it feel like traditional taproom visits can happen again. For Trophy Brewing Steve and I managed to try one of thier beers the very fun title of " I Can See My Helles From Here". As the title suggests this is a Helles Lager which continues to rise up as being a favorite of mine as far as lagers go. This Helles has a nice, crisp clean flavor profile in addition to a biscuity and a hint of apple to it. Very refreshing and enjoyable to drink this was a very fine brewery experience with this particular type of lager.

Nivek R.

Yelp
My family of 4 went there yesterday. We have always loved Trophy but I have to say several things stuck out as poor and disappointing in our latest visit. The pizza was below average at best. The dough was thick and heavy. Toppings, cheese, and sauce were all lacking presentation and taste. They also removed the Caesar salad from the menu which was always a crowd favorite. The biggest disappointment was the bill at the end. We did not purchase any alcohol this time around but our total bill was still over $100! It's ridiculous the cost to eat out these days. Better options that give you more bang for your buck are out there for sure. This visit left a sour taste in our experience and unfortunately the damage is already done as we will try other places before venturing back.

Yelp
Stopped at Trophy Brewing for a quick dinner and it was pretty good. We got the lemon hummus with pita chips and it was sooo good. The pita chips were a little greasy but the lightness of the hummus tamed it a bit. We split a small Most Loyal per our waitress's recommendation. We may judge pizza a little more harshly because we're from Jersey but this was pretty good. The crust and the pesto were the stars of the show.

Yelp
Yikes, this was the worst service I've ever experienced!! We also paid for extra toppings and they only threw on a few pieces. Not coming back. Drinks were delicious though.

Liz J.

Yelp
The service was absolutely terrible. Non existent is better said. We got water and ordered drinks in a pretty empty restaurant. People came after us and were being served before us. We asked our waitress if we could order and she left and did not return. After waiting 20-25 minutes we left. Told the front desk but ah, they did not care. They apparently don't need our business. Very sad.

Yelp
Been here a few times, had a movie night with the guys where we got Trophy. It's a solid pizza and brews place, and the price is decent. The local celebrity is roasted garlic cream, provolone, freer farms sweet Italians sausage, green tomato chow chow and onion jam finish. Good order for one of our friends with an allergy to red tomato sauce. I still prefer Oakwood to this, and the pickup is a little weird during Covid times where we had 4 boxes with our names on them just left sitting on a table. Be nice to get our food handed to us, or at least guarded when we're doing pickup, but that's a very minor complaint since worst case scenario we'll just get them to make it again

Keith K.

Yelp
Some of my favorite pizza in the triangle. Big fan of the Daredevil. As a Detroit native, I also highly recommend the Detroit style if you're there on a Monday or Tuesday.

Yelp
Beer 4.5 Servers 4.5 Bartender Scott 5 Pizza 2 I loved the atmosphere of this place. Inside and outside dining a plus. The pizza however was flat. Flat is taste and appearance. The olive pizza was so salty. I ordered it two days in a row, thinking that it would taste better and maybe it was just oversalted. But the brine on the olives overwhelming.

We have eaten lots of pizza from Trophy and most have been very good. However, in at least 4 occasions, we have received a pizza like some of the other reviewers noted. It is beige with no brown or black spots that denote cooking to a finished condition. With that beige crust, the toppings are not fully cooked either. When I mentioned this to my server on one visit, he then brought our pizza out and noted, smartly, that it was crunchy as we had requested. The pizza was overcooked although not burnt. A bit of an ego here at times too- clearly. What happened to restaurants that sought out customer satisfaction?

Yelp
First off... Must stop when visiting RDU I was worried when I walked Ina n hour before close.. but Jordie never made me feel bad for ordering food. The food was super fast. The wings were delicious. The pizza rocked. Solid thumbs up on both. The beer was delicious. I ordered a couple with Nelson hops On the way out I bonded with Kelsey about Florida. I like this place a lot.

Yelp
We have passed this establishment countless times, and finally slowed down and stopped. Spent a summer evening here as a family, in the outdoor space in front dining in the open air and enjoying a really nice assortment of fusion-style pizzas and appetizers. Especially loved the one with hot honey. Delish! Lots of vegetarian adaptations are available, and the veggie wings were scrumptious. This is a real treat, and would be a good option to bring out-of-town guests. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Good ambiance for sure. Our waiter was attentive and answered any questions we had. Pizza, wings, and Brussel sprouts were all amazing and the beer was delicious!

Yelp
From what I could tell, Trophy Brewing is more like a pizza restaurant. At least that is my impression from when I visited during Covid. There were a parade of signs when you enter from mask requirements to reservation requirements. It was a bit overwhelming. They have a hostess in the front who said they had table seating inside, the bar was not open for seating, but luckily they had an outside seating area which was like a makeshift bar. The funniest experience I had, was I asked the hostess if they do flights and she didn't know what they were. It's a brewery right? She actually had to ask someone and the answer was, "No." It's unfortunate that they don't because it would have been nice to sample more of the beers. The one I did get to sample was very good, it was a Belgian Quad, My Favorite Rhombus 11.2% ABV. A little boozy, I have had quads like Quadraphonic from Barrel of Monks in Boca Raton Fl which are much smoother. Still it was good and it definitely helped t keep my thirst quenched for the next beer adventure in Raleigh. Finally, the service outside at the make shift bar was great. I sat in one of the coolest looking uncomfortable chairs. It was an experience if not for the chair. I would love to return after things get back to normal and maybe they will be doing flights then. Unfortunately though this one won't be very high on my list.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Trophy Brewery as a sit down restaurant for a while, perfect night to go. I called ahead as I saw you could make reservations. I'm glad we did because it was bumping after 5:30. Parking is free after 5:30 so....makes sense. The menu and payment were contactless. We ordered a Cloud Surfer and a Blackberry Cider. Both hit the spot. We also ordered The Most Loyal Pizza. I had not had honey on a pizza before and it was such a subtle value add, we really liked it. Plenty of bathrooms, very clean. Service was great, I love it when people are on it with the water because I guzzle it. Trophy Brewery is a win! We will be back!

Yelp
Oh man. I'm sorry. But there is much better pizza to be had in the capitol. And better beer experience. And the vibe from staff. Mediocre. Was celebrating a friends birthday and she is a beer hound. So why not. Hostess was bland. Told her we were celebrating a birthday. Wasn't expecting a fanfare or parade, but a "Hey happy birthday would have been a welcoming hostess thing to do right? Nahh.... Sat down. Ordered beer. NBD. I like WYE hill much better. Was hoping the pizza would be stand out. Not much to contemplate there either. Size. Bijou. Ingredients attempts to be innovative but missed the mark. I'd have to bring my own seasoning cause nothing really tasted of anything. Three of us concurred. And real deal killer was the plates? Why the plates. Well call me picky but I'm not a fan of eating on chipped plate ware. Not too hygienic and come on. Just not cool. So all three of us noticed our plates were chipped. They took them away. And then came back with three more chipped plates. Ok. So alll of your dinnerware is busted or you thought we were nine cents short of a dime and we wouldn't notice that you brought back the exact same plates?. Either way that's a no go. Which is what I'll do next time.

Yelp
Cute little spot. Met up with some girlfriends and we had a great time. We shared the Daredevil pizza which was amazing!

Yelp
Trophy Brewing on Morgan St in Raleigh deserves a trophy for an outstanding summer evening dining experience. The website recommends reservations, which I'm so glad we made, because even on a Tuesday evening the restaurant was busy. We chose a covered patio table so we could enjoy the nice night. The tables are spaced well, so even though they were all taken, the patio still felt spacious. The grassy areas that border the patio have fire pits and adirondack chairs that add to the restaurant's comfortable feel. Trophy's wood fired pizza menu offered many different and unusual pizza selections, as well as a build your own pizza option. Many of the vegetables are organic and locally grown. Our group each chose a 9" pizza, which is basically an individual pizza. If you're hungry, add a salad or order the 11" pizza. We also enjoyed ordering a variety of beers and ciders that were on tap. The service at Trophy was friendly and relaxed. We received our drinks and food in a reasonable time and never felt rushed. We had a great time at Trophy Brewing and are looking forward to going back!

Yelp
I appreciated the availability of high chairs and a bathroom where fathers and mothers could change a baby. However, the pizza was disappointing, and there is no kids' menu. As a pregnant woman, I was horrified upon leaving to see a sign in the window indicating that their obvious attempts at inclusivity do not extend to my youngest child.

Yelp
the food sucks. the cheese on the spinach and artichoke dip wasn't even melted and the dish itself was tiny for an appetizer and the price. the pizza is not good was too greasy and it has no flavor especially the crust it tastes like cardboard. i've tried it twice and both times have sucked.

Yelp
Went to dinner tonight for my husband's birthday because he loves their pepperoni pizzas. Worse pizza ever! So over cooked and no taste. Very disappointing. The service was slow and the staff was unfriendly. Too bad such a great place has gone down hill.
