I came here after exploring Little Tokyo nearby because a friend recommended it. It seemed like it was still in soft opening or something, but we were starving and willing to try something new. I've only had tsukemen 2-3 times in my life, so I was excited to see how this compared.
The ambiance inside was pretty good. Seemed like they were busy. My friend asked the waitress what kind of soup broth the ramen had (miso, shoyu, shio, etc), and the waitress couldn't answer, she just said "traditional". But then when further asked, she said that she was still training and still new to the place, so it was understandable.
The wait was probably 20-30 minutes before we got our food, which normally wouldn't be a problem but we were definitely starving at that point.
We all ended up getting the Tsukemen since it was in the name of the restaurant. To be honest, it was a bit underwhelming. The meat was almost like....deli meat you'd find at the grocery store, or in a charcuterie platter. I was expecting like actual chasu that you'd find in ramen typically. But maybe it was a different style? Also the soup was a bit salty for my taste, but maybe it's supposed to be that way. Either way, it wasn't my favorite thing, and by the end I wish I had tried the ramen instead.
Overall, it was an okay experience. Not sure if I'd come back, but if I happen to be in the area and wanting noodles, I'll probably try the ramen. I'm sure the service might be better next time too given our waiter isn't someone who is still training.
