"Nashville can’t take credit for this NYC-born Australian cafe, but we still like to rave about the lemon poppyseed waffle. It’s got the perfect amount of lemon, it’s not too sweet (even with the whipped cream and fresh strawberries on top), and it’s about as thick as romantic tension in Bridgerton. Then there’s the scramble with soft ribboned eggs and a salad on top dressed in white balsamic that coaxes us back again and again. Weekends guarantee two things: $25 bottomless bloody marys and a line of people waiting their turn for a booth in the quaint dining room. But, thankfully, one of Two Hands’ greatest features is that it serves brunch every day of the week." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak
"With sunny murals portraying popular Australian sights and a bright, beachy interior, the small New York-based chain Two Hands brings some serious Aussie-cafe vibes to the Gulch. Standouts on the “brekky” menu, available 8 a.m. daily, include buckwheat banana bread, smashed avo toast, and brassica salad with charred broccolini, brussel sprouts, and hummus. Look out for a Franklin location slated to open in summer 2023." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"While the lavender-hued taro tea latte is a must at this Australian-inspired cafe in the Gulch, you can’t go wrong with any of the healthy dishes here — many of which are gluten-free. Savory bowls like the salmon quinoa and the miso mushroom offer a nice counterbalance to the kiwi and passionfruit pavlova and one of the can’t-miss dishes on the menu: the banana walnut bread topped with tufts of espresso mascarpone." - Eater Staff
"If you order nothing else from this sunny Australian cafe, let it be the taro latte. It’s impossible to feel anything but joy while sipping on this sweet frothy, lavender beverage. But you should also stick around for banana nut bread topped with espresso mascarpone. And that’s just to start. Because after you’ve gotten small talk out of the way with your sibling’s new significant other (hi, Brenda), you can proceed to lose yourself in the brassicas salad bowl with charred broccoli, brussels sprouts, hummus, and a tingly chili sauce. Or the smashed avo toast with pickled shallots on sourdough (it is an Australian cafe, after all)." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"Dine-In Avoid the holiday food coma and opt for a healthy Christmas Eve brunch at Two Hands from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Australian-inspired menu features light dishes including the Two Hands seasonal scramble, a salmon quinoa bowl, a miso mushroom bowl, and crispy Brussels sprouts. Reservations can be made online." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
