Sourdough, wood‑fired pies with a neo‑Neapolitan lean, plus house‑made pasta and a thoughtful wine list. Featured in Pizza Today, and a fixture in Little Italy for lively nights and modern Italian energy. A second Regency Landing outpost broadens its reach.

A modern take on Italian in the Little Italy district: house-made pastas, a wood‑fired oven, and an easygoing wine program. Covered by the Omaha World‑Herald at launch and still a favorite for its balanced, from‑scratch menu.

Our server had excellent knowledge of each item we asked about on the menu. He was friendly and helpful. We ordered the Burrata which was easily split 4 ways and is rich and savory. We ordered both the Negroni flight and Cello flight which are both highly unique and delicious. The Whiskey Menta is also an excellent cocktail choice. I fell in love with the Tajarin - the crab was cold and the pasta was hot, creamy and rich. Altogether, this is an excellent restaurant!

We checked out the downtown spot for the first time and it was an excellent experience. They had the floor to ceiling garage door open to the patio for a very nice indoor/outdoor fall evening setting. Our lovely server, Katie, was really nice and had very good recommendations when we asked. The base menu is obviously fantastic, the pizza is so good it's worth going for by itself, but trying new things their chef comes up with is what it's all about. They had wood fired-glazed carrots on the starter menu that were so good, kind of a twist on the classic steamed carrots with butter and brown sugar that your mom used to make (and I still do at home). Hope they keep those on the menu for sure. We tried the new spaghetti twist with their housemade noodle, shrimp, and a light sauce with a touch of lemon. Loved the noodles, the sauce wasn't for me, but luckily we share and she loved it. Tacking on a happy hour classic pepperoni pizza guaranteed we were taking leftovers home - No complaints about that, either.

Google
The food was perfectly fine, but nothing that really stood out above other restaurants in the area, especially for the price. We ordered the meatballs which were a bit dry; the bread which was fantastic; the arancini; and the raviolo which I expected to be much more substantial for the $20 price-point, but which ended up being just a single fairly regular sized piece of ravioli. We stopped for second dinner elsewhere afterwards before going home. For the value and portion sizes, I wouldn’t return.

Delicious! The food was flavorful and unique. We had the calamari, sangria, espresso, Salsiccia pizza, Pesto alla Menta, chai gelato, and tiramisu. All came out perfect and very friendly staff! 😃

Wow, an excellent local restaurant! We enjoyed the delicious food and amazing service. Already looking forward to our next visit. Also, so thankful to have gluten free options!

Google
First time at Via Farina and we were planning on our next trip before we left. We shared a wood fired pizza, made with a sourdough crust that was amazing! For our pasta, we had the Rigatoni, which was out of this world good. I don't know how they made the sauce as flavorful as they did, but it was the spotlight of dinner!! Service was very fast and our waitress was very attentive! We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Google
Stopped in for quick pizza, usually go to the Regency location for full dining. The server understood our needs and was able to create a quick service to get our pizza. I highly recommend customizing your pizza! Been half a dozen times, but always avoided the pizza because the options just weren't perfect, finally asked to customize with a few additions and I loved it!

Google
Amazing pizza, good seating for our large party. Decent Roy Rogers, not anything to write home about. Definitely the best food I've had while visiting Omaha.

Yelp
Best time in Omaha, NE because of Via Farina! Good food with calamari for starters, then Margherita pizza for entree. Had red wine and Aperol Spritz... then tiramisu for dessert. Just wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to Chase, the server who was the coolest, most awesome staff at Via Farina. He treated us well and with respect...just best service overall! Someone give this guy a promotion! Kudos buddy, keep being kind...it will take you places!
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
My family took me here for an early birthday dinner! The restaurant was steadily busy. There were folks sitting inside and outside! The staff were all nice and polite. Chase was our waiter. We ordered the Tajarin, Margherita & Charlie pizzas and the Spaghetti Nero Fra Diavolo. My daughter's spaghetti dish was under cooked and the shrimp overcooked. She switched it for another pepperoni pizza, to go. They gave me a complimentary dessert... Tiramisu.

Yelp
Via Farina remains a reliable option for food and vibes downtown. While I enjoy the ambiance and the drinks are always delicious, I continue to find the food slightly underwhelming. Service is prompt and the waitstaff are nice, I just wish the food had more oomph behind it.

Yelp
Via Farina is such a cute Italian restaurant! The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our entire meal. This was my first time having a shrub, I was a little hesitant ordering it at first, however, it was absolutely delicious! My meal was also so flavorful. The pasta was cooked perfectly and it was the perfect portion. I cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Despite living near this spot for years, it took me till last night to finally come in. I love the size of this place-- small and quaint, with vibes that made me feel more like I was in Europe than Nebraska! I had a margarita pizza, which was only $10 on their happy hour menu! This is SUCH a steal, considering the quality of their pizza. It is extremely thin crust in the center, absorbing all the flavors of the sauce and toppings, with very thick and somewhat chewy crust. Texture and taste of the dough was excellent, I only wish they had provided oil and cheese to get the thick crust in. I had the same thought with their focaccia bread starter. This bread had an amazing taste and texture, but personally, I was not a fan of the flavor of the butter it came with. I would have loved oil and vinegar on the table, and some cheese and pepper to mix in to make your own dipping sauce for the amount of bread you get with the dishes here. The Caesar salad was somewhat of a wedge format, with Romain cut in half. Lettuce was perfectly fresh and crispy, and the croutons were absolutely amazing-- this bread must've been soaked in oil and then baked again, since they were very crunchy, but so delicious, especially with the shredded cheese on top! The Caesar dressing itself had a strange flavor to me, it didn't taste as 'sharp' as many Caesars, I've had, and personally prefer. I think this boils down to personal taste. Overall, I would definitely come back here. Although the happy hour deals are amazing, I would probably go for a pasta dish next, and ask for a different sauce for the starter bread!

Yelp
I don't like to judge a restaurant by its takeout but this has left a bad taste in my mouth. 20$ for a singular large piece of ravioli seems a little steep to me, especially one that isn't even cooked all that well. The Forbidden Fruit Pizza was pretty decent and very well cooked but overall I did not find this particular restaurant to be worth the price. Their customer service, however, was excellent and lady that took our order was very kind on the phone. I would be willing to try this place again because I had heard good things from friends, but I may need to dine-in and try some different items on the menu.

Yelp
I finally got to try Via Farina for dinner with some friends, and loved it! I started off with an Aperol Spritz...because how can you do Italian without one? I ordered a pizza and a side salad, and both were delicious. I am not the biggest fan of sourdough, but that pizza crust might just change my mind. The place itself is really cute! Perfect spot for a date night. They have a little patio too, but it wasn't set up yet when I went. I'm hoping they open it once the weather's nicer. Our server was super sweet and checked in on us often. I only tried pizza this time, but I definitely want to go back and try their pastas!

Yelp
This place is tasty! Right when you walk in you are met with an aesthetic pile of wood that is used to fire up the wood fire oven for the pizzas, setting the mood for a delicious rustic meal ahead. We frequent Via Farina often for good reason. Personally, I always love trying items off of their seasonal menu as I feel like they are able to capture the current season perfectly in the dishes and drinks that they create. To start, I got a sprtiz that was lemony and herby and so delicious! The roasted artichokes are ALWAYS a must. They must sprinkle some crack on these they are that good. They are tender and smokey and have the green goddess dip that is herby and light and pulls it all together. For the mains- I always get a pizza. I am gluten free and they are very accommodating and have gluten free crust that is pretty tasty. I got the Salaicia which was full of flavor. I loved the arugula on top as it brought a nice element of freshness. This place is great! highly recommend!

Yelp
Via Farina is one of my favorite spots in Omaha! If someone is here for a night, run to little Italy or Regency Landing and experience the ambiance of Via. The pizza and pasta are to die for. Whenever I eat here my family gets a little bit of everything and we share it family style, I highly recommend doing this! The service is incredible. The waitstaff is on top of it and down to earth. I dream about the food here. Also, I swear they have one of the best espresso martini's in Omaha.

Yelp
Stopped as a whim on Sunday at happy hour without reservations. Lucky to get two bar seats with an attentive, busy but handling the rush with chill, server. The calamari and a glass of wine was a perfect setup for the pasta dishes. Add on of anchovies a nice treat.

Yelp
My husband had made us dinner reservations for Saturday evening around 8pm and I highly recommend making reservations! The restaurant was completely packed when we got there and we were very thankful for not having a wait. Our waitress was super nice and very efficient. I got their seasonal specialty drink, Foam Sweet Foam, and it was superb! It scratched the itch for a slightly sweet fall cocktail. We were sad to hear that they were out of the arancini and the fried cauliflower apps as those were our top two picks. We struggled to decide between the asparagus and the burrata and ultimately ended up going with the former. It was really good for what it was - well cooked and nice flavor, but it was way too expensive for a few stalks of asparagus each. I would try the burrata next time (if the first two picks aren't available, of course). We then ended up splitting the Margherita pizza, because who doesn't love a classic, and the patata to try something different and we were floored! The sourdough crust was immaculate. It was light and chewy and nicely blistered and charred. The Margherita was expectedly tasty, but the patata was a very pleasant surprise! We were a little apprehensive about the potato chip topping, but the crisp actually worked very nicely with the creaminess of the fontina and the truffle garlicky flavor complemented the pizza beautifully. I would very much choose to get this again! We ended our meal with their seasonal dessert, a sort of spice pumpkin cake, and it was a very nice ending! The only sad part was having to share it with my husband. I can't wait to come back because the Parma Rossa pizza is calling my name!

Yelp
Enjoyed lunch with my wife at Via Farina on May 3rd. We left the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting and drove south a couple of miles to Via Farina. Parking was super easy, and we were given a table immediately after walking thru the door. The restaurant was beautiful inside with the giant orange pizza oven in the kitchen immediately drawing your eyes attention. The wife ordered pasta, and I ordered pizza. Both dishes came to the table within 10m. I also enjoyed a Peroni, which they have on tap, while waiting on our food. Both entrees were wonderful and we both agreed that we will be returning to VF the next time we are in Omaha.

Yelp
Via Farina enters the Pantheon of Omaha pizza! Hot pizza cooked in one of those authentic pizza ovens. The crust is wonderful with charcoal flavors on the bottom. I had the spicy pizza and it was just right. Wine list has a fixed price per category. I like that. A few beers on tap so you don't have to strain your brain selecting. Fewer beers means quicker rotation for freshness. The customers included people older than me, young hipsters and couples with babies. Decor is modern Italian. Black tile along the wall. Details were right. Really nice silverware and my ice cream bowl was chilled. Janet Yellen finds the price to value equation appropriate particularly considering its proximity to the Old Market. Maybe the highest compliment is that Yelp Elite reviewer Lianna N (over 700 reviews) has been here ten times in about a month and gave it a five star review. Enough said!

Yelp
Fantastic experience at Via Farina from A to Z. Our server was so friendly and more than willing to help us select our orders. The rigatoni was mouth watering with noodles cooked to the perfect al dente. And you can't go wrong with wood fired pizza. If you have a taste for espresso martini's - they are a must for dessert! Finally, the ambiance is great and can accommodate both a more upscale or casual night depending on your vibe.

Yelp
Great place for a quick bite and some drinks. Stopped in on a business trip during happy hour. I enjoyed the $3 Peroni and some pizza, olives, and pane al forno (fresh bread with olive oil). Definitely be back!

Yelp
This was our first time here - I have been meaning to come here for a while, but on weekdays it's only open for dinner so it only fits my schedule on the weekend. They have a nice drink selection. I ordered the seasonal shrub. If you have never had a shrub...you might not like a shrub. It is a vinegar drink, personally I DO like them. This one was very tasty, I enjoyed it. But it's a LOT of taste so order mindfully, The pizza, the Fungo II, did not have much of a taste. It was bland and pretty boring and I would not order it again. Maybe this is the way expensive pizzas are meant to be. It did not taste of mushroom and is mainly topped with minimally-seasoned potatoes. I was VERY glad we had ordered the shaved Brussels sprouts. I guess I hadn't thoroughly read the description. I had assumed they would be roasted, but they were a raw salad. Which I absolutely loved and will definitely order next time. I had noticed in the description that they included candied walnuts. I (deliberately) had it served without them (have a sensitivity, the server asked me to make sure it wasn't an allergy, which was nice). I didn't feel like the dish was "missing" anything. It was nice to have something acidic to go with the pizza. I will definitely be back but I will try a different pizza or entree next time. The space is lovely. We came on a Saturday for a late lunch (about 2pm). It was not crowded at this time. We had walked by earlier and it looked pretty busy. I believe that reservations are recommended for dinner.

Yelp
I'm always confused when people over-hype a restaurant. It's trendy. It's fresh and new. The food is unique. Well, that's all nice, but it has to be backed up with some very basic provisions. 1. The staff should be welcoming, especially the host at the front of the house. The staff should be kind and courteous when communicating with the customers. This is the most basic of concepts. 2. The food should be good. 3. The restaurant should be clean. I can say that the restaurant was clean. 1 star for the most basic concept of running a restaurant. I'm old enough not to get excited because something is new, or in the trendy location, or has unique ambiance. That's all fine, but if you want to charge a lot of money, there must be courteous service and great food. I was served a martini that I could barely drink. Luckily, it was a tiny glass that was less than half full. Please. This is not how to run a restaurant. Be kind to your customers. Make good food. If you can't do that, don't run a restaurant.

Yelp
Always has delicious food. The pizza and pasta are both great! Can't go wrong with what you pick on the menu. Everything is good. Great atmosphere! Service is impeccable everytime. Our waitress last night was so fun. She made the night memorable.

Yelp
I went to Via Farina once! Then it became twice...then thrice...then uhhh let's stop counting now shall we? Food is amazing. Anywhere that I can watch someone flip a pizza is somewhere I want to be. Ambiance is amazing, everyone is kind and welcoming. Did I mention the food? The drinks though, delicious, but the cello flight will sure take you soarin. have fun! as a solo diner I can confirm they are great for that too I did not get any judgement about my three appetizers, entree, pizza, ice cream, and drinks, thank you!!
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
The pomodoro sauce is 10/10. The sauce with our focaccia was the also delicious and unique. They used fennel to add flavor to our meals, which I enjoyed. We tried the pizza and the risotto special. The crust on the pizza was just right. Our server was great. This is very very small restaurant. The kitchen is in view, which is nice, but it's not exactly a fine dining experience. It's more like a hipster Italian joint. There is a political propaganda sticker on the door and the staff has tattoos. I won't be back because this isn't my kinda scene, but the food was tasty.
google avatar

Kylie R.

Yelp
Went for Valentine's Day for a late lunch early dinner and we had a great time! The restaurants open concept was very cool and we loved the overall decor and ambiance - music was a tad loud at times. The service was good, but the main reason to come back is the food. Everything I had made we say wow! But my favorite was the burrata appetizer. Would recommend for date night or just looking to have a nice dinner with a fairly reasonable price point!

Yelp
The ambiance here is everything, just really great vibes all around. It feels cozy and classy. With a group of 5, we ordered: shaved brussels, burrata, radiatori, pepperoni pizza, fratello pizza, and fumo pizza with 'nduja. Brussels: I'm a simple woman, I see brussels sprouts on a menu, I order them. I didn't quite realize that they were going to be more of a salad situation, they were cold with a vinaigrette. Not bad but just kind of tasted like a boring salad. Burrata: The pane al forno bread - ugh so delicious. Every bite was like a symphony in my mouth. We joked that it tasted like the scene in Ratatouille when he eats the cheese and the strawberry together. Radiatori: Although we were mostly getting pizza, we were excited to try the egg yolk ravioli and planned on splitting it up so everyone could sample it. But they were out for the night :( so the server recommended this instead. Kinda spicy (not a bad thing). I only had like one bite to try it just to taste it. Pizza: The fratello pizza was the one I wanted to order because I've been obsessed with the honey on pizza sort of trend recently. Unsurpsingly it was my favorite. I tried the fumo as well which was also quite tasty! I also got an aperol spritz, but I tasted both the lemon spritz and the seasonal spritz that others in my group got and they were so yummy! Really great vibes & experience, I'm excited to be back

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and WOW!!!!! Amazing experience all around. The focaccia bread was super tasty, my 2021 Cristina Ascheri Moscato was so delicious, and both of our pizzas were INCREDIBLE! The sour dough wood fired crust is so so so good. My boyfriend and I both agreed that this is some of the best pizza we have ever had. I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere. There were so many songs I loved that they played that are alternative/indie/rock which made me very happy. The service was great! We were checked in on a lot (but not too much) and were greeted very quickly when we came inside. I love the lights, the bar, and the orange wood fire oven! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. I am so happy we decided to try Via Farina today for the first time. It is a place I definitely will not forget. SO SO SO good!!!! I will definitely be back! :)

Yelp
Stopping in for some fresh summer pasta dishes! Via Farina is one of a handful of restaurants open on Mondays in Omaha's old market and little Italy area. We headed over at opening time without a reservation and were lucky to score seats at the bar without a wait. Highly recommend reservations any day of the week for this location as we noticed a number of people who were turned away or gave up after waiting a while without reservations. Metered Street parking is available and can be tight. This restaurant has limited number of tables and offers indoor and outdoor seating, weather permitting. The restaurant has a modern European vibe. We were pleasantly greeted and enjoyed a cold Peroni, which is offered on tap. The menu is not very extensive, but the options are interesting. Pasta and pizza dishes can be modified with numerous options. Weekend specials, sometimes extend into the week if available. This restaurant has a woodburning pizza oven and makes for a super crisp crust! It has been a while since our last visit, and we chose the calamari and roasted cauliflower appetizers for our group to share. We did find the cauliflower dish more of a highly salted green salad with a few cauliflower bits sprinkled on top. The calamari appetizer was not your traditional type dish, but spicy breaded, finger sized cuts, with sauces ; the dish reminded us of sea skate. The pasta dishes were delicious, and everyone chose different options that included Buratta, sausage, and an off menu shrimp that was great. Our order of focaccia was served as a small crispy, mini loaf of bread. This restaurant offers a full bar and a nice selection of desserts. Our server was our bartender who was attentive and kept as well hydrated! Recommend that you stop in and check out in Via Farina but ensure you have a reservation!

Marley M.

Yelp
I've been in the restaurant business for 20 years, Via farina's, food and service was top notch. . You could tell that pretty much everything is made in house. Our server ( I cannot remember her name) was from Hawaii and she was great with answering questions and suggesting things for us to try. Always checking on us to make sure we were always enjoying ourselves. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The restaurant was also very clean, and it had a nice relaxing ambiance. If you are in the area and you want to try some amazing Italian food please go and check them out. Mahalo for the great experience, we will be sure to recommend this place to anyone we know from Hawaii that is going to visit Omaha.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! We loved everything we ordered. Our waitress was helpful and had great recommendations for us. Very fun atmosphere for happy hour or a nice date night!

Yelp
Service was great they were every acomoda since we didn't have a reservation, we sat at the bar which was very comfortable! We ordered one of their specialty drinks but they were out and offered to made something similar and I loved it! We got the Stella pizza crust amazing crispy but not burnt. Stella had a little Bit of spice to it which I loved. The pasta Pappardelle was wow! It had so much flavor! Thank you for the great experience!
google avatar

Nancy E.

Yelp
Omg my best friend and I came out for dinner on a whim no reservations but the host was very kind and sat us at the bar. Drink was so sweet, tangy but not overwhelming. I could have another but wanted to leave room for pasta. Pasta was a 12/10- SO good! I didn't expect it to be spicy but I am so glad it was! Stella pizza was absolutely delicious. We will be coming back to try the other pizzas!
google avatar

Kitty B.

Yelp
Cozy, and delicious. Loved all the pizzas we tried, I just don't think you can go wrong with anything. Make sure to get reservations, because it doesn't seat as many as some other restaurants downtown. Pizzas are good for 1-2 people depending on how hungry you are so you get to order a few for the table to try different ones!
google avatar

Cara E.

Yelp
We went to Via Farina for dinner while in Omaha visiting family in November. The food and drinks were great. It's also a cute place. The staff were nice. The disappointing thing was that we had looked at the menu on their website beforehand and knew what we wanted to order based on that (it was called the Winter Menu). When we got there, they said they had their Summer Menu, and it was different than their website. So that was a bummer. I would go back again, though!
google avatar

Vicky N.

Yelp
Food was good, we got a pizza and the burrata appetizer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the burrata appetizer, soo good, the burrata tasted very fresh. Pizza was good, a little floppy for my liking. Pizza is a sourdough crust, not super sour, which I enjoyed. The waitress was very helpful helping us navigate the menu and answering any questions!
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
For $22, I expected I would find a lovely, gluten free pizza. I knew it was going to be small, that was fine. What I found was an overly crisp, tiny, sad looking cracker in the middle of a giant box. A slather of sauce with a couple blobs of cheese and slices of meat too thin to taste. The honey with the chili on this pizza is a good combo. The flavors were ok, but overall a disappointing experience on the gluten free pizza front, especially since there's a $4 up charge for gluten free and it's not a good product.

L H.

Yelp
Very good, classic Italian food. Service was quick and accommodating. Would like to come back and try a few more things.

Scott S.

Yelp
A fun modern, but casual Italian and pizza restaurant. This place has a great atmosphere and very nice dishes. (B)

Yelp
If you want a sourdough pizza, you win! It's here, and it's delicious. Parking can be challenging, so plan for that. The staff is excellent, friendly and courteous. Enjoy it. They will serve well. The pizza has a sourdough crust. I don't think I need to mention anything else. Many toppings. Sourdough crust. Well worth it. Go now!
google avatar

Lauren J.

Yelp
Wow! This cute gem just outside the Old Market has excellent and high quality sourdough wood fired pizza. In addition to great pizza, the drinks and appetizers are top notch. Our waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations for our first time there. For those visiting, be prepared to have a hard time parking but the short walk will be worth it! Burrata, Wood Fired Pizza

Kevin Q.

Yelp
Daniel was an amazing server! He helped us navigate the menu and gave us some outstanding recommendations, as it was our first time there. Will definitely be going again and hope to have him as our server!

Yelp
Via Farina is a great restaurant for girls night, date night, and really any occasion! You'll definitely want to book a reservation as they fill up fast. Cocktails are fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend ordering a few different dishes and sharing family style. My favorite appetizer is the arancini which features very fresh tomato sauce. You won't miss with this place!
google avatar

Madeline P.

Yelp
You can't be how cute this spot is! I also love how it located in Little Italy/Downtown Omaha. The service is amazing! Our server last night was so fun. Make sure to make reservations! I think it's more fun to sit in the dining area rather than at the bar. During the summer, it's best to sit on the patio! The pizza - the dough is incredible. The crust is perfect. Last night my crust was slightly crunchy and gooey all at the same time... it was so yummy! we ordered the arugula salad and added it on top of our pizzas (highly recommend). They have a great wine selection and delicious cocktails but if you're not feeling like alcohol, they have a few tea options. The last time I went, I ordered hot tea and it was delicious! Pasta - all of the pasta is handmade here. It's amazing! I love the smoked vodka sauce pasta. Give it a try if you like spicy! I love that the serving sizes are appropriate. It's fun to go with friends and order multiple pizzas and pastas and share family style.

Yelp
Via Strikes again as I continue to work my way thru their menu they never cease to amaze me. I could eat here every night so thank god I live 30 minutes away. Not only is the atmosphere amazing but your tastebuds get the same love and care with their delicious food and drinks, cannot recommend it enough!! (get the balsamic butter for your crust you won't regret)

Yelp
We were visiting from the Bay Area and were craving some Italian food. Via Farina had solid reviews online and from the pictures it seemed to fit the bill. We tried the kale caesar, the baked artichoke hearts, the chicken bolognese pappardelle and a mushroom pizza. The kale caesar and the pizza both fell flat for us. The caesar was pretty bland and didn't have that anchovy umami you expect in a traditional caesar as it was definitely more on the acidic end. The pizza could have used some salt as it was pretty flavorless until we added some parmesan although the rosemary was a nice touch. The pasta was well seasoned and delicious. Although the portion size could have been ever so slightly larger. The artichoke dish was tasty and I have no complaints about this one. Overall the food was just okay. No one in our group was especially wowed by anything. The dining room is all hard surfaces and the music was a bit loud which was a bit too much for us on a Sunday night so if you're looking for a relaxing dinner and want to conversate this is probably not the spot for you. A bright spot for the meal was all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable. Might be worth a shot if you're in the area.

Yelp
Via Farina was a great experience! I like the open kitchen concept, we sat at the bar which was cool. I enjoyed watching them prepare the dough and pizzas right in front of us. The pizza was delicious, I preferred the basic pepperoni but the specialty pizza we had that night was also yummy. Service was slow at times but they were very busy so I didn't really expect anything less for a Saturday night. Cute ambiance and great date night spot. Will be back!

Yelp
Went on a Sunday evening thinking it wasn't going to be busy but they were all booked up with just bar seats available which we were fine with because we got to sit right in front of the oven and the cooks! Not sure how much they liked it, I sure was entertained. Like I was on a cooking tv show. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it was a cute atmosphere. Never had arancini before but it was good. Like a crispy rice ball in marinara. The fratello pizza was delicious and well prepared. The rigatoni was a bit too Al dente for my taste but the flavor was rich and tasty. This would be good for dates or family gatherings. Sit at the bar in front of the oven for entertainment and to get your food as soon as it's done.

Yelp
We came on a random Thursday night, kind of on the earlier side for dinner. Still, the restaurant was full, and the other guests ran the gamut of ages and types. There were older couples, friends catching up, young adults having a bday celebration. We had friendly service and enjoyed hearing the kitchen staff call out: service! Then a team member would swoop in and deliver the food after any garnishing needed - nothing sat around. I appreciated this as I hate lukewarm food. Now the food, we split everything starting with the arancini. It's like a Mac and cheese ball, except with a rice mixture that had the texture of creamy risotto. There were four of them in the order and served on a fabulous marinara sauce. Next we split the raviolo and fungo pizza. I'd read the reviews earlier and so I wasn't surprised that it was one solitary ravioli. But if someone ordered this as their dish, they might not be full. It had good flavor, borderline slightly too salty for me, so the small portion was good. I prob would not order again. The fungo pizza is on a white sauce, and we added sausage. It wasn't a lot (I'm remembering $2-3 range). I enjoyed the pizza more of the two entrees. Mushroom and sausage is my go to order, but the white sauce was a decadent different touch. Too full for dessert, we left feeling happy and stuffed, both from the good food and vibe AND the good conversation. We will be back.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of the space, especially the bartop outside where you get a nice view of the area. Flavors were great and it was apparent that the ingredients were fresh.

Yelp
We came in on a Thursday evening. The space isn't huge, but it is bright and cheery. Our cocktails were bright and delicious, and served to us by a very friendly bartender named Pete. Pete also advised us on our food choices, and he didn't steer us wrong! I had the pizza margherita [pro tip: add fresh arugula!] and my husband had the Fratello. We started with Pane Al Forno, which was good if a tad overdone. Everything we had was delicious, and nothing took too long. This was a great meal and a friendly experience for us!

Yelp
I came here for dinner by myself. I opted to sit at the bar facing into the kitchen, which felt a little awkward but I was most interested in seeing all the pizza making action so I chose to sit there anyway. I had 2 different people serve me and they were both very helpful. I got to watch as they made pizzas and cooked pastas, it was so cool! The egg yolk ravioli I ordered was delicious, I was excepting a few smaller ones but it was one big one! And then I took home a Campari cannoli for dessert. Very creative! Overall I loved this place and will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I keep coming back for three things - the wine, Arancini, and Shaved Brussels Salad. All have been excellent (along with the service) every single visit. Occasionally we've felt like the pasta portions were small for the price, (or for example that the amount of scallops or clams within was skimpy,) but the pasta itself has been excellent every time and perfectly al denté. The pizza we've tried three times and are leaving that behind. All three variations that we tried were not bad per sé, but the undercooked and doughy crust got us every single time. Overall a great Italian spot that will stay on our rotation so we can check out their new seasonal offerings!

Yelp
all i can say is WHY. did. i. not. come. here. EARLIER. i am truly disappointed in myself that this golden restaurant was here all along and i just now have tasted and SEEN. Via Farina, you are pioneering a new path and setting a new bar for food in omaha ... FOOD : we got the Pane Al Forno as an appetizer to start and as soon as i tried it, i knew i was in for one of the best dinners i've had in omaha. The bread is clearly quality -- light, airy, but crispy in the right places and soft, my goodness.. absolutely delicious. I tried not to fill up on it because i knew i'd be eating a whole pizza to myself, but boy did i want to. I started with an arugula salad and it really is.. just arugula and cheese. i was a bit bummed about that and wish i would've gone for a different salad but it's fine. I got the Caprese and i really loved it if i were going for a sweet pizza. The bread was as stated -- immaculate. I know they use real italian flour and proper ingredients, not only that but it's evident they actually take the time for the dough to become perfection. Their process and ingredients all are the shining stars here.. because without prioritizing quality this pizza just wouldn't be what it is. I wish i knew the caprese was sweeter because i am more of a savory / spicy gal when it comes to pizza, however i still ate the entire thing.. by myself.... and the craziest part? i felt fantastic after. I didn't feel gross, so full i could puke, greasy, sluggish -- nothing. I felt absolutely fantastic. and the only time i have felt that after eating a whole pizza was in italy .. so cheers to you VF you are true italian. Please never compromise those ingredients for cheap crap! Alas -- my whole family got different pizzas and the joint rating was an 8 (they are tough critics..). I could've honestly ate more and will definitely be going back. The crust is unmatched and i truly wish i could eat it daily. ATMOSPHERE / SERVICE : the place was poppin so definitely get a reservation, especially on the weekends. Our waitress was great and on top of things, and we loved our time. it's an awesome spot and i love the intimate vibe. all in all.. 10000% i will be back.. a lot... constantly.. i just can't stay away. take the fam. tell everyone. this place is IT.
