The 35 Best Restaurants in Florence, Italy | Eater

"A short walk from the Uffizi Gallery, this tiny eatery makes its intentions clear on the handwritten menu outside: no pizza, no ice, no cappuccino, and no spritz. This osteria serves traditional Tuscan food, and is known for its pappardelle in duck ragu, ribollita soup, fragrant saffron pasta tossed with zucchini flowers and a touch of cream, and mains like tomato-stewed cod, fried chicken and zucchini flowers, peppery peposo (beef stew dating back to the Renaissance, served with seasonal beans), and a few grilled red meat options. Know before you go: The wine list is overpriced and full of unremarkable labels, so bring your own wine and pay for corkage." - Coral Sisk

The 23 Best Restaurants In Florence 2024

"There are plenty of tourist traps firmly camped out in Florence’s main squares, which makes Vini e Vecchi Sapori a bit of an anomaly. It’s the safest (and best) bet near Piazza della Signoria for both lunch and dinner. This old tavern features walls full of vintage photographs and marble-topped wooden tables pushed close together, and is filled with loud Italians catching up over Tuscan staples. Whatever you do, don't ask for an Aperol spritz—they have a big section on the menu that reads “no pizza, no ice, no takeaway, spritz or cappuccino.” It’s a refreshing departure from the many places in the city that only cater to an Italy that only exists on TikTok. This is a great place to try peposo, a warm-you-up beef stew braised in local wine and slow-cooked with black pepper, but they also do exceptional pasta like paccheri in a sauce of zucchini flowers and saffron or the pappardelle with duck sauce. 23 Best Restaurants in Florence

"Tiny, crowded and noisy, this traditional Florentine haunt is all wood paneling, rustic beams, and memorabilia-stacked walls. The “No pizza, no cappuccino, no ice, no takeaway” notices say it all. This is a place to feast on competently-prepared Florentine classics such as liver-topped crostini, pappardelle pasta with duck sauce, and peposo, a hearty, pepper-centric beef stew. But there are variations; the signature paccheri pasta with zucchini flowers and saffron is delicious, and there is the odd fish option like baccalà alla Livornese (salt cod in tomato sauce). At lunch time, expect a mix of foot-weary tourists (it’s a pigeon’s spit from the Uffizi Gallery) and smartly-dressed functionaries from the Palazzo Vecchio town hall offices. There’s a dearth of good places to eat in this tourist hot-spot, so the top-notch earthy home cooking is much appreciated." - Nicky Swallow

Google
Amazing place, totally deserving of being ranked the fourth best restaurant in Florence as per Timeout’s 2025 article. The restaurant is small, reservations are a must. Fully booked for dinners, usually you are luckier booking for next day’s lunch. Staff is very friendly and relaxed, not rushing you to free the table. The best is the food! I have had fried zucchini flower, burrata and tomato pasta and zucchini flower and saffron pasta, everything top quality! Prices are very reasonable for such a central location. You must visit!

Best meal I had in Florence, best service, best vibes. Stopped by on a Monday at noon and got a 2:30pm reservation straight from the owner who was trying to accommodate us. Ordered beef carpaccio (which I normally don’t like, but I loved this one), the pici with meat sauce (phenomenal), and the duck ragú (lighter, also great). Finished off with a fluffy, light tiramisu. The entire time, we were waited on with gusto and they were nice enough to cancel our main dish since we we got too full. I’d recommend you solidify a reservation via your hotel as this place is small and popular. But I’d eat here at any possible time it’s available. 10/10!!! They deserve all their fanfare.

A perfect last dinner in Florence. We made a reservation two weeks in advance and when we arrived about 20 minutes earlier, we were lucky to be seated right away. All of the food we ordered was amazing. The chicken liver pate was creamy and rich. The duck ragout pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce has an amazing depth to it. I am usually not a fan of lamb because of the strong taste but this one was perfectly done, nicely charred the flavor was so good. I also recommend the ice cream cake dessert, it was extremely refreshing after a heavy meal. We also got free limoncello. The waiters were very attentive and the pacing of the food was extremely good. It was so busy but the service was top notch!

I worked in the food service industry for 18 years, in fact I met my wife while we were both working at an Italian restaurant. I’m 62 so I’m sure I don’t remember all the meals I’ve had but to my recollection this was the best food service atmosphere combination I’ve ever experienced. The zucchini flour pasta was absolutely incredible and the fillet with green pepper corn sauce with something immediately looked for recipes for. The staff was incredible, attentive, upbeat, and never made us feel rushed or that we were putting them out. We got there for our Reservation and had to wait an additional 45 minutes, but that was part of the experience. The manager brought us parmigiano cheese and a glass of Prosecco and brought stools out for us to sit in. I would go so far as to say if you’re in Florence, you have to visit this restaurant.

Google
Small, cozy restaurant in the heart of Florence that severs authentic, delicious Italian food with even better service. Do yourself favor and book a reservation immediately when you arrive in Florence or via phone (1 week out). We were fortunate to dine here twice this week (yes, it was that good). Tomas and his staff are wonderful. They cater to both locals and tourists. Make sure you try the fried artichokes if they offer it. Yum! Butter and anchovies are also amazing and same with the ice cream cake. Definitely try to come here next time you visit Firenze.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hospitality team at our wedding venue and we are so pleased we came! The staff are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and we left feeling very full! The florentine steak was delicious!

Google
One of the best restaurants we visited in Firenze. Really delicious, authentic Florentine food cooked well. Had the Duck Ragu and Zucchini flowers. We would have gone back many times if it wasn’t so challenging to get a table (or even a reservation!). The staff were so fun and welcoming and made an already wonderful experience even better.

Google
Our best meal in Florence!! From start to finish the meal was excellent!! We had a reservation (it’s a small place so make one if you can. we did see them accommodate as many as they could without them too) and they were right on time. Service was impeccable. Food was incredible. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Yelp
I live in the US but spend at least 2 to 3 weeks in Firenze every year for the last three decades. This is my favorite restaurant. Not because the food is good, which it is, in fact it's routinely extraordinary. Or because I love the atmosphere, which I do - it's crowded and bustling, with great American music supplying the fuel the restaurant runs on and tables really close together. It's my favorite because the staff is flawless, perfect service and they are always kind and often joking. It's fun to go here. I've never had a bad meal or a bad time at Vini e Vecchi Sappori. But if you want to go, respect the typical traditions and 100%, make a reservation. The menu changes, baby artichokes were new in season my last visit and were on the menu fried with chicken chunks. So good I ordered it two visits in a row. My friend had beef stew in red wine and pepper which came with the big, flat green beans I only see in Italy. Again, really wonderful. She ordered that twice too. Perfection is hard to pass up. Five stars for every visit. This place is perfect.

Yelp
Vini e Vecchi Sapori came at the recommendation of one of my colleagues who said this was one of the best meals she had in all of Italy. Since I had a loose itinerary for my upcoming trip, I was very open to suggestions and took this as an opportunity to check-off a dinner spot while in Firenze. That being said, we made plans to dine here our last night in the city. All the reviews I read of Vini e Vecchi suggested making a reservation, so I did that before leaving for my trip - it was good advice too as when we arrived anyone who didn't have a reservation was turned away. The restaurant is somewhat small with simple decor, similar to other restaurants we visited in the city. The vibes were on, the people working looked super chill and they had American music from the 80s playing throughout the space. The menu was separated into sections similar to other Tuscan restaurants - apps, pastas, mains, and sides. We decided to start with caprese - this was delicious, the tomatoes and mozz were super fresh. Since it was our last night we each decided to get pasta dishes as well as mains. For my pasta I went with the paccheri with zucchini flowers and saffron; this was delicious - the sauce was creamy without being heavy and the pasta was cooked well, really one of the best pasta dishes I had in Firenze. For my main I had the beef stew - this was prepared well with a good amount of seasoning. The beef was very tender, and it was paired with flat green beans on the side that proved to be a great complement. We also got a side of white beans as a side to share - these were also good, flavorful again without being heavy. We decided to get dessert - I went with the raspberry tiramisu (I love raspberry) which was wonderful - it was creamy with just enough raspberry flavor. Service was great, there seems to be a good bunch of people running the restaurant. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Vini e Vecchi Sapori - the food and vibes were spot on and I would definitely consider returning.

Yelp
Simply Superb Tuscan Food and Amazing Customer Service! Please make a reservation! We ate at Vini e Vecchi Sapori on our first night in Florence. I found the restaurant through guides from Condé Nast, Eater, and TripAdvisor. The restaurant has stellar, authentic Tuscan food at an unbeatable price point. Most of the entrees were under 20 €. The fact that it's located a stone's throw from the Duomo makes it even more popular. Reservations for Lunch and Dinner are a MUST. The restaurant seats only about 20 people. In season, walk-in space isn't available. Just during the course of our meal, we saw about a dozen disappointed people who weren't able to get a table get turned away. Let me start by saying the restaurant has the BEST customer service I have EVER seen anywhere and I've dined at 1, 2, and 3 Michelin star restaurants around the world. The staff at VVS is the best in the world. Every patron is greeted with a smile. The waiters are upbeat and incredibly attentive to all of the guests. A queue quickly developed outside during the meal. The owner, time and time again, took it upon himself to attend to those in line: he brought out countless glasses of Prosecco, bread baskets, and assorted appetizers to keep the waiting guests happy. He even brought a bowl of water to a parched canine patron who was patiently waiting in line too. The food here is simply stellar from top to bottom. We tried the bruschetta, pappardelle with lamb, beef with pepper and wine stew, and beans. Everything was perfectly prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For dessert we had the ice cream cake and caffeine-free raspberry tiramisu which were both sensational. Food: 5 stars. Authentic and absolutely amazing. Service: 5 stars. World class wait staff Ambiance: 5 stars. Authentic, quaint trattoria located nearby a major tourist center. I really enjoyed this restaurant and would love to come back.

Yelp
We had heard the hype and were thrilled to get a last minute dinner reservation. You have to call to reserve (no way to book on line), which I think puts off some tourists but is really not a big deal! The restaurant is cozy, so prepared to be up close and personal with other diners. It's all part of the experience! Staff is warm and wonderful. The food is DIVINE. The menu changes regularly, I believe. I will be thinking about my tortellini for a long time. I also really enjoyed the dessert selection (we split panna cotta and tiramisu, both just perfect). We didn't get the bistecca but the table near us did and it was truly impressive looking! I will say that I think that almost everyone in the restaurant was a tourist like me, but this is far from a tourist trap, and still somewhere serving very good food for a reasonable price (not cheap, but not over the top).

Yelp
Came here for the first time in 2018 and have been missing this place nonstop since then... had to came back (summer 2024) and she did not disappoint. Have probably eaten at 50+ restaurants in Florence and vini e vecchi still manages to be a standout. Hands down the best food + daily handwritten menus! Also, the family that runs the place is so sweet and precious, they deserve all their flowers.

T H.

Yelp
Bad service, The middle age waiter was really arrogant and did not seem to care about non Italian customers. The restaurant is small and stuffy. Food seem mediocre. Not worth a visit.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. The food was delicious. We tried three of their pastas. Wish we were here another day so we could go back.

Yelp
Had an incredible time at Vini e Vecchi! Welcomed with a glass of Prosecco while we waited for our table. Such a fun vibe, service was super welcoming, the music was on point and the food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back next time we're in Florence.

Yelp
My family ate here two times during our trip to Florence this Christmas. My little sister had heard the good reviews and stories, so made sure we got a reservation in. Our first meal was dinner on December 28th, 2023. I ordered a stuffed pasta that was very good and not heavy at all. We shared the beef carpaccio and all tried the lamb that my dad ordered. We tried 3 of the desserts, and I specifically was excited about the pear. Everything was delicious. The staff even surprised us with a couple slices of their salami, since we had noticed them cutting it on a board above our heads (the space is small but cozy). Our second meal was a late lunch on December 29th, 2023 right before we took a taxi to the train station to leave Florence and head back to Rome. They were about to close, but remembered us from the night before and allowed us a table. This time, I ordered the spicy spaghetti. We shared the fried artichokes and a plate of potatoes. I was actually surprised at how significant potatoes are in the Italian diet. My dad got one of the Florentine steak dishes and it was heavenly. My pasta was also life-changing. They sent us away with a goodbye gift of a free limoncello, which is a digestif. If you are one of the lucky few to make it to this restaurant, the proprietors will happily welcome you!

Yelp
Lovely intimate spot with delicious fare and great service. Very authentic! We noticed there were a lot of regulars here who love the place.

Yelp
Somehow found myself in Florence again a year later, and relived this experience at Vini e Vecchi not only once, but twice in a three-day visit! I made my reservation two months in advance (via phone), and when I came in, they said "Han! 2 months reservation!" haha. I'm okay with being known as the 2 month reservation girl, so long that it secures me a table in this very tiny and very bustling restaurant. They turned away so many people looking to partake in its vibrant warmth, so you'll definitely want to plan ahead. Lunch is a more leisurely affair though, so if you're unable to book ahead for dinner, pop in for lunch (served around 12-2p) instead. The pappardelle with duck ragu was as sublime as I had remembered - thin, slippery fresh noodles coated with delicate duck ragu. Nothing is overwhelming, everything is beautifully balanced. The fillet with green peppercorn was also tender perfection. I could relive this meal again and again. We also tried the tortelloni stuffed with spinach and ricotta served in 'pink sauce.' You get three fat ravioli on the plate, and each stuffed with spinach and ricotta, but here, the spinach sang in the dish, not to be overpowered by the fresh ricotta. It was one of the best tortelloni/ravioli dishes I've ever had. And finding ourself in artichoke season, we ordered the side of fried artichokes, and they were absolute perfection. Lightly battered, greaseless but crisp, and salted just enough. I could eat a bowl of this as a meal. The next day they offered fettucine with fresh artichokes, which was also (unsurprisingly) delicious. We ended the meal with the raspberry tiramisu which was more cream than ladyfinger, but that just meant far less chewing required, which is a good way to end the night. This restaurant should never be missed if you're in Florence!

Yelp
SO GOOD I ATE HERE TWICE in my short stay in Florence. This might be one of my favorite restaurants ever. I would give it a 6/5 if it's possible! The place is about 20 people so very cozy - HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation in advance. The restaurant has a very old school and hip vibe, really cool art on the wall with fun throwback music. The people here are the best too, so friendly and joking with each other - you can tell they like what they do! The food was SO GOOD and changes daily - everything here is so fresh. You really can't go wrong with anything here. I can't choose favorites because they're all so good but they're well-known for the osso bucco, florentine steak, and the pastas. These pastas are the most tomatey heavenly things you'll ever try. -Pici with beef meat sauce -pappardelle with duck sauce -beef stew with red wine and pepper sauce -florentine costata -spaghetti If I haven't conveyed enough how much I enjoyed the restaurant let me end by saying if there's one place you need to get dinner in Florence at, it's this restaurant!! Yelp
Best meal/experience of our trip. Let me start off by saying this place is a little chaotic. No online reservations, only by phone... I think that keeps a lot of people at arms length- probably a good thing. Call and ask if they speak english in Italian- because they do. You walk up to the restaurant, it's in this alley which is small and jammed with people waiting for tables- and most all of them have reservations. Be prepared to wait for 30-45 minutes after your scheduled reservation time in order to be seated. Don't get impatient or rude, it's not gonna help you get a table faster. When we were there this cab of three ladies, dolled up in heels from the some flashy city in the US pulled right up to the restaurant. Seemingly oblivious they opened their cab door and it extended into the restaurant next to someone table...got out and thought they were so special and were going to be seated right away. They weren't, and were the last ones seated for the night. Hope that was intentional. But anyways, the pasta is heavenly- duck pappardelle and the mushroom fettuccine were outta this world. The grilled lamb was good as a last finisher, but a little tough as lamb can be sometimes. Wine selection is great. The service is chaotic, but they take care of you eventually- as they are running all over doing everything but are the nicest people (its family run). Sit back and enjoy- kinda adds to the experience in my opinion.

Yelp
Everything Janice S said and more. The vibe of the place felt authentic and loving. It was a joyful staff and the joy and love extended to the food. Simply the best ricotta and spinach ravioli in "pink sauce" I've ever had and best dish in my entire 8 trips to Italy. I also had the "kfc" fried chicken (joke from owner) with fried zucchini flowers. Everything we had was delicious. Definitely not a tourist trap even with the spin on the kfc." Ambience was fantastic, service fantastic, they were also authentically welcoming. Thank goodness this owner, staff and restaurant create beautiful memories for the visitors. I had no idea when I booked it was so solid and amazing.

Yelp
If you come to Florence, DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!! The food absolutely amazing. The staff is always happy to see you. We just happened upon this place and came two nights in a row. This is not a tourist trap but a real Italian restaurant. If you come for dinner, you will need a reservation.

Yelp
One of the very best, and an absolute must on every trip to Florence for us. This time, we got the beans & bottarga, caprese salad, mixed meats, pappardelle with duck ragu, paccheri, steak, and tiramisu. The star is the pappardelle with duck ragu, which, despite eating this countless times, always finds a way to surprise me with how perfect it is every single time we come back. The paccheri is amazing too, I love the mixed meats, and I'd never not get the tiramisu (which is not a typical tiramisu, which is maybe why I love it so much). The steak was a big surprise. As far as I remember, they always had "No bistecca" on their list of "No...s" on their menu, so I wasn't expecting to see it there, and we had to get it out of curiosity, if nothing else. I will say, it was cooked perfectly rare and the meat was as good as we had anywhere on this trip, but I didn't think the seasoning was as exciting as some of the others we had. I wouldn't mind getting it again, but it wouldn't be a huge priority. Also, they made our three year old mezze rigatoni with tomato sauce that was maybe the best version of that dish we've ever had.
google avatar

Austin P.

Yelp
The space is tiny, but the flavors are big. A local recommended this place to me, and if the locals go there, you know it's good. Everything we ate was fantastic and the staff took care of us the entire time we were there. Make sure you get a reservation because the availability for walk ins is few and far between.

Yelp
This is one of the best dinners we had while in Italy. I ordered the rabbit and they were so accommodating with our large group. Everyone raved about their food. Every time we are in Italy, we will make sure to eat here. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Hard table but worth it! My boyfriend and I came right when they opened for the night, and were told to come back for the second seating at 9:30. We went and had aperitivo elsewhere, and checked out Piazza Michelangelo (great place to watch the sunset). Returned at 9:30 and were seated around 20 mins later - no big deal; it's a small place. Food was great. We shared the caprese salad, poccheri with zucchini flower and saffron, and pappardelle with duck sauce. Everyone working here was having a great time, and were laughing and joking with the patrons. All in all a great spot. 4.5 stars.

Yelp
This is the Italian restaurant that lives in rent free in your dreams after a 2-week vacation in Italy. The place that you day dream about on your first day back at work battling a crippling depression, thinking about going back and about what could be. Vini e Vecchi has the feeling of being in the home of a big Italian family. All the servers are laughing and cracking smiles while selling you on which wine you should get and why. I am the EASIEST sell on Chianti. All the wine is local to the region, just like the vibes. I don't know what that means but it felt good coming off my keyboard so I'm leaving it ahaha. This is also one of the confirmed places Anthony Bourdain ate/filmed at for unreleased episode of Parts Unknown that took place in Florence. Everything about that man fascinates me so I had to visit. I was sat at the same table as a French couple, as they do community seating. I honestly loved it since I am galivanting solo, so I chatted with them for a bit but then let them get back to enjoying their date. The menus are all hand written day of which adds to the authentic, home-style feel. The MVP of the meal was the Pappardelle with duck sauce. I was blown away by the texture of the noodles. If fresh had a taste, it would be these noodles. I also had to get the Florentine Tripe, as this is the place Bourdain tweeted about when referencing how much he loved Tripe. It was my 2nd time trying Tripe, and I've settled on the conclusion that it just isn't for me. It's something with the texture I can't get past, but that's 100% a me problem. A top 3 restaurant in Firenze for me, and not overrun with tourists. Yet. Oh also make a res if you can it gets packed.

Yelp
What a gem. Small, family owned, attention to detail in both food and service. Not rushed, authentic Florentine cuisine. If you want to go, get a reservation two weeks out. Big with the locals.

Yelp
Not just the best pasta, but the best food my wife and I have eaten in our 6 days so far in Italy. Plan ahead and make reservations - part of the charm is the quaint size but that means limited seating. Order local wines - plenty to choose from - never hurts to ask the servers what's best for what you're ordering. Service was friendly and attentive enough but also gave you your space. On a future trip, id make this a place to stop in Florence and a place I'd recommend to friends

Yelp
A quaint little restaurant, a bit tightly packed, but well worth it. The pasta and veal ossobuco were both amazing. House red & white very good as well.

Yelp
BEST RESTAURANT IN FLORENCE! We were starving and walked outside of our airbnb to find this hole in the wall. The duck pasta was one of the best pastas I have gotten in my life and the bruschetta was so refreshing. If you don't get the duck pasta you are passing up on a once in a life time opportunity.

Yelp
We stumbled upon Vini e Vecchi Sapori on our first night in Florence. It got my attention from not only the crowd of people inside, but the smell wafting from the kitchen. On a whim, we decided to ask for a table. I'm so glad we did !! I got possibly the best pasta i've ever had in Italy. Long story short, you should 100% go here. But to not spare any details, here is why. Food: We ordered the truffle pasta and the zucchini blossom pasta. The truffle pasta was creamy, perfectly al dente, and loaded with shaved truffle. The proportions are generous ( but not overbearing ). The zucchini blossom pasta was probably my favorite. It was creamy, savory, rich, and flavorful. Bread was provided at the table which we used to sop up the extra sauce from our dishes. Otherwise, a high quality olive oil is provided that goes great with the bread. Price: My dish was 16 euros which felt completely reasonable for its size and quality. Generally the pasta was within 12-16 euros. The meat courses were a bit more expensive but nothing exceeded 22 euros. Atmosphere: This place was crowded but we still didn't have to wait for a table. The walls are lined with pictures and artwork which make for a homey vibe. The dining area is well lit, but not too bright. The tables are close together but we had plenty of room to dine freely. The staff are all incredibly friendly ( even to us tourists ). They accomodated our language difference and even entertained our attempts at speaking Italian. Overall, this place is a real gem. With a new menu daily and a flood of people from all over the world, it's an exciting and delicious dining experience. If you are visiting Florence, or if you live here and haven't come across this place, I highly recommend Vini e Vecchi Sapori!

Yelp
The best meal we had in Florence. The duck pasta was the best I ever had. The veal Osso Buco was also outstanding. The service is what makes this restaurant stand out over all other. They look like they enjoy what they're doing and they make your dinner fun. Just be prepared to sit with other people if you have a small party.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The owners, Tomas and Pablo, were the sweetest people ever. We were lucky to get in without a wait for a late lunch. A number of people came in after us for food but had upwards of a 20-30 minute wait. Tomas took amazing care of us and was so much fun. We had the Duck Pappardelle, the Bruschetta Ravioli, the fried zucchini flowers, the raspberry tiramisu (a first for us), and an amazing bottle of wine. All of it we would immediately have again if we weren't so stuffed. Toma made sure to take care of us with some limoncello shots. 10 out of 10.

Yelp
I tried to come here thrice before there was a table available! It was worth the wait. No frills, just delicious amazing food, wine, service. My husband and I still talk about the lunch we had in Firenze, we can't wait to come back!!!!

Yelp
Food was amazing, ambience was 10/10. They played a hip hop/pop playlist that was favorite song after favorite song. The staff were polite and we could tell they were enjoy the night. Would absolutely recommend, and you must make reservations!!!

Yelp
Vini e Vecchi Sapori is outstanding. You must make reservations far in advance because of the restaurant's popularity. Everything from the service to the food was great. I recommend the pappardelle with duck sauce.

Yelp
Everything we had here is amazing. Strongly recommend making a reservation or you will most likely have to come back. We visited twice this week and the service/food is remarkable. This is now our favorite restaurant in Florence!

Yelp
FAVORITE MEAL IN FLORENCE HERE. I was recovering from food poisoning from another country, but I didn't want to pass up any chances to eat my true Italian pastas...so I forced myself to eat...lets just say, great decisions made that day. I just can't get their duck ragu pappardelle out of my head now!!! The restaurant is in a small, unassuming alley with about 8-10 small tables total. Pretty cramped inside. We waited for about 20 ish minutes outside while other diners finished their meals. Anyway, we ordered the duck ragu pappardelle as well as the artichoke fettuccine. The pappardelle was sooo flavorful and had the perfect amount of chewiness. The artichoke pasta was also very refreshing in a unique way. I was surprised it would taste so delicious! Pricing was also super decent. Totally recommend!

Yelp
Had the best dining experience here start to finish. The restaurant was full and reserved for the remainder of the night but the host was so accommodating and reassured us he would find a way to seat us. He provided complimentary prosecco while we waited and eventually were sat. When I say a week later I am still thinking about this meal... nothing else I eat compares. We had the duck sauce pappardelle and tortelloni with pink sauce, along with some other items. The energy and electricity in this Osteria is unmatched. I wish I could relive this night truly.

Yelp
This place is special. We just finished our 2.5 week trip through Italy and I'm coming back to write this review. Out of all of the places we ate, a lot of which were incredible (even Michelin), this was my favorite meal of the trip. The menu changes regularly but the burrata ravioli with the tomato sauce changed my pasta life. The two gentlemen in this photo were incredible people - remembering our names, joking with us throughout dinner, and creating good conversation. This place doesn't need my review to be successful but it was so wonderful that it won't soon be forgotten. We made a second reservation after finishing our first lunch and returned the following day. I miss this food!

Yelp
What a great little gem! The food is exceptional. The pastas are divine. The fried chicken was a great surprise. They offer a small but exceptional wine list of amazing Italian wines. The staff were lively, fun and had a good sense of humor. Really a delightful dinner.

Yelp
This is the hardest place to find on Yelp. I'm not sure if they are in hiding or some other restaurant paid yelp to hide the results of the best restaurant in town. This review is old because I had to find this listing in Yelp. The food here is great. I will simply fawn over the fried squash blossoms. They were light and fantastic! I've had a lot of fried squash blossoms, in many different regions of the USA and they all fail compared to these. I would like one right now as a matter of fact. I see people talking about a wait, or the hours or the crowd and listen, the food is good. It's not a Cheesecake Factory, get over yourself and plan ahead people. Sure see the Duomo, but cut that short to hit this place when they open. It is worth it and there are churches all over the place.

Yelp
We decided to come here after searching #florencefood on Instagram and came upon the photos of the duck pappardelle that looked amazing. They open at 7:30pm and usually all the tables are booked prior to opening as the restaurant is on the smaller side. You can usually get a seat for 9pm. We went around opening and made an in person reservation for the following night. It was very easy to do. The wine selection was great. We each had 3 very good glasses of Chianti for about 4 euros/glass. We shared the burrata, which was very fresh. I ended up getting the duck pappardelle that tasted even better than the photos looked. My friend got the ravioli, which she believed was the best pasta she had all of Italy, taking the place of the Gnocchi from Etabli in Rome. We also split the fried artichoke and chicken entree. It was salty, crispy and just right!!! Even though we were so full, we decided to check out the raspberry tiramisu, which was on the creamier side! Our bill including 6 glasses of wine, 1 appetizer, 2 pasta entrees, 1 other entree and 1 dessert was around 88 euros. We still can't believe it was 44 euros per person. I've paid 90 dollars per person for way less food and drinks at italian restaurants in NYC. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Florence and will recommend this to all my friends and family.

Yelp
This place is exceptional. The best meal we had in Italy, and in the top 3 we've had anywhere in the world. Food, service, ambiance--it's 5 stars on all fronts for me. Hard to get a reservation, but worth it, even if you come for lunch. Don't miss the duck pappardelle. The staff loves what they do, and it comes through in the food. The ingredients are as fresh as it gets. You can see them cutting the artichoke right there in front of you. The servers are friendly and amazing. It's rumored Bourdain visited on his trip to Florence (the episode that never aired). Don't miss this place.
