Warfield Distillery & Brewery

The classic overbranded under deliver restaurant! The drinks are good The food is small and overpriced. Maybe it suffered from an overdesign budget that had to make it up on food pricing. But $18 for six wings or $24 for a burger make place in Seattle or LA look inexpensive. The bright side is the drinks which are moderately priced and the do have their own distillery/brewery which gives it some cred for sure. Again just my opinion try at your own risk!

Very solid fish and chips! The breading was nice and crispy. The "I'm Your Huckleberry" cocktail was delicious as well. Super friendly staff and very cozy atmosphere!

While on a ski trip to Sun Valley Idaho we stopped in one evening for a bite at the Warfield Distillery & Brewery. Food was fantastic! Atmosphere cozy. Great stop! Highly recommend.

This place was absolute fire!! Their whisky is too shelf. The old fashioned was delicious!! We had appetizers and snacks for dinner and all were delicious. Beet salad and Caesar salad were fantastic. Caesar salad had some spice to it and was wonderful. Wings, nachos, and pub pretzel was fantastic!! The pretzel had a thin, crunchy skin and then was soft and fluffy. You will not go wrong eating here.

Food just OK, not great overall. Best thing was truffle fries which is sad for price of everything else. BUT... They have a cool environment and waitress followed up really well. She did a phenomenal job.

Warfield Brewery has it all, great food, wonderful ambiance, and excellent service! The dining on the roof top is the way to go! Their Shrimp and Grits is incredible; unique and very savory with caramelized onions! Altogether a very enjoyable dining experience!

Really nice place to eat. The views from the patio are wonderful and the service was fast and very good quality. The food was all very good, only thing I would say is that instead of pickles they put cucumbers on the burgers, that was the only negative. Everything else was great, cucumber salad, Burger, and fish and chips. Even had the cheesecake for dessert. Will come here again.

Stopped in for lunch while taking a ski break. Nice selection of draft beers and cocktails. We had the burger and wedge salad. Both were excellent. The burger was flavorful and fresh toppings. Fries were crispy and hot. The wedge salad was fresh and crisp with nice presentation.

Just stopped at the Warfield Distillery and Brewery for lunch. Our food was delicious I had their French Onion soup and the grilled Brussel sprouts. The guys had a burger and chicken sandwich. Portion sizes were definitely plenty! Ian, our bartender/server was very friendly and efficient!! We would highly recommend this place!

Celiacs beware. My husband who has celiac disease asked if he could order the lamb wrap without the wrap. Our waitress apologized but said she had asked before and unfortunately they would not be able to accommodate him by leaving the tortilla off the dish. My brother, who is dining with us, said "well, that's ok. That means it's premade- so it's not fresh and maybe you don't want it anyway." The waitress told us that it was not premade, they just refused to sell it without putting it in the wrap. People who are celiac are not just gluten free by preference- they have a severe allergy. It can be hard to eat places. If your wraps are not premade- WHY refuse to leave the tortilla off? We were going to pay the same for less ingredients. It would have saved the kitchen a step. Whether it be celiac or a preference, I think it's terrible customer service to refuse to accommodate (especially to a severe allergy). We were not looking for a substitution, he just wanted some lamb. No wonder this place is mostly empty when the rest of SV is packed. Drinks were trash but our waitress was so nice we ordered some food for those of us who could eat it. It was not good. No one was impressed. In all the years I've spent in Sun Valley, this was the most disappointing experience I have had. Celiac is pretty common. Do better.

Good beer, good vibes, and good times! The ambiance strikes a balance between contemporary style and welcoming warmth. My dad was so enamored that he surprised us all by ordering an extra side of the delectable fish.

A favorite of ours in town. Not only a brewery and distillery, the food is excellent here. Beer Gin Vodka and Whisky among their offerings. The vibe is totally local and inviting. The people are kind and friendly. Go and enjoy.

a little pricey for a bar in this small town but the view is aboslutely gorgeous. The drinks were delicious and the view was amazing. I can't even imagine with a sunset or other sunny day! We didn't get food here as we had already ate, but the people around us seemed to be happy about their food in the utmost sense. Drinks were adorable and tasty and the ambiance was lovely. the servers were very sweet as well :)

Great atmosphere! That's what makes it a 5. Upscale bar food The kale salad is a must! It was a pleasant surprise to find out it came warm with Brussels and cauliflower. It was delicious. I paired it with a burger patty and some blue cheese. Must try!

We had the best server! I did one of the top ten things that a customer shouldn't do, but I picked two items from the menu and asked her to pick the one I should get. I was NOT disappointed! The sausage and kraut was fantastic. Please see attached photo. I didn't pay any attention to what my friends got, b/c, let's be honest, I was starving. Fun atmosphere and plenty to choose from on the menu. They even offer suggestions of sips to complement the meals. I'll definitely go again the next time I'm in Ketchum.

Pretty solid spot. I got the Blackened Cod Sando and it was really flavorful and fresh. 1/2lb Grass Fed Burger was also good, but a bit on the drier side. Service was great and the vibe inside was cool. Super old school and fit the scene perfectly for this Sun Valley town.

First off, JORDAN K as a server is the absolute tops. We are very particular cocktail enthusiasts. She was able to answer every question and ensure cocktail perfection (we had 4 different cocktails ) on top of that, the bison burger snd fries were outstanding. If you like alcohol forward cocktails, the Smoky cactus and Queen of Hearts are creative and excellent. The bartender also made an first rate negroni (dry shake over a rock with Carpano Antiqua vermouth) and a Corpse Reviver #2. Lots of skill here. Great service and spectacular view. Don't pass it up . Also i have never been anywhere where i have heard Allen Toussaint, Caribou and pink Floyd on the same playlist. Enough said!!!

Another find in Sun Valley. Sat on the roof for dinner, perfect weather and views. Tried a couple of their cocktails and the truffle fries to start. So good. Wife and I each had fish and chips. Some of the best ever. They used cornmeal for the breading instead of typical beer batter. So light and flavorful. The tartar sauce was homemade and light years ahead of most places. Kids had burgers and wolfed them down. Need to come back for the poutine. Bought some of their house made vodka to go as well. Great spot.

Amazing dinner at Warfield! Our large group got a great table right in front of the restaurant. Our waitress, Jordan, was excellent and was accurate with our orders & friendly! We loved the atmosphere, food and felt appreciated as new visitors to the area!

Great place for food and beer The dad water Pilsner was great as well as the fried cauliflower. Their dinning tables have views of the brewery and there are seats on their rooftop overlooking Ketchum strip . Would definitely recommend . Staff is very welcoming and the service is top .

From the beginning we walked in and they helped the person behind us. No big deal as we were excited to try this place. You order at the front so there is no server. Then we ordered for our family of 6 and after I play she tells me she added 20% gratuity......$26......for no waitress. Ok I am over it we are on vacation. Then an hour 30 minutes later they finally brought our food which was mediocre.

Went here for lunch yesterday, ordered a salad and a burger to share with my wife, asked the server to have the kitchen cut the burger in half, not even split plates. He said the kitchen won't do that. Not going back.

Beer and food was delish! We sat in the breezeway and the sun shine and ambience is hard to beat in downtown Ketchum! Split the napa Caesar salad and the burger. So yummy! Highly recommend this place for a casual but higher end lunch or dinner as opposed to a classic like Grumpys (both are hard to beat but depends what your looking for) Beer was also tasty. The bartender recommended the pale ale and it was delish! I was looking for more of a hazy and it matched my craving perfectly. Thanks Warfield for a lovely afternoon. We sat here for 3-4 hours because we were having such a nice time. We also had nowhere to be - gotta love vacay. Service with a smile doesn't hurt either

There were 6 of us in the party and we all had a great meal, exceptional service and the specialty drinks were fun to try.

Great drinks. Fantastic service. Didn't eat any food so can't speak to that but worth a stop.

We had lunch here and the food was unique and very flavorful. The portions were good too and the flights were fun to try. The seating was comfortable and we enjoyed the ambiance.

Warfield or Warzone? Hard to tell during the weeks before NYE. We got here and had to wait an hour and a half- that's just the price of doing business though. Food was good and I recommend getting the scallops. I had too much mezcal which tainted my pallet so I must admit I cannot leave reliable review on the food. Atmosphere was great though. Service was also top notch. The only thing I recommend would be a double mezcal on ice, with one orange slice.

Seems to be struggling due to construction on the street. Food took forever, order was incomplete and staff were complaining about customers. We don't know that it is a three level restaurant, maybe that should be noted as it was important to the staff that customers know that.This has been a favorite but no more!

We hosted a group of 35 people for dinner at the Warfield on Jan 25, and it was awesome. Serving that many people at once is always tough but they did a great job and made it fun. We started with drinks and apps in the downstairs side-bar (by the brewing equipment - very cool). Tonya was our host and crushed it. We the moved upstairs to a group dinner buffet -- great job on the food. Lots of the guests had special drink orders and the bar handled them all very well (and quickly.). Food quality was great. So as a venue for medium-sized groups (10-40 people and private parties. we recommend it highly. Hopefully Tonya is your hostess!

Amazing service! Sat at the bar with the local bar tender. He was so personally, friendly and incredibly nice. We decided to come back here after coming to another, let's not name it, "The Saw Tooth Club" don't bother wasting your time there. This place rocks! Food is incredible. By the way, we had lunch here yesterday!

Fast and great service. I preferred this quiet brewery for a place to converse and share yummy food and drinks.

We love the Warfield. Have never had anything less than a spectacular visit. How did you end up with the best staff in town? Charismatic, fun, friendly, detailed, great work ethic. Food is always great and I absolutely love the coconut cinnamon stout on tap right now.

Decent stop, but somewhat of a letdown from reading all the glowing reviews of this place. My main concerns are: 1) Food is extremely overpriced IMO. Best "bang for buck" here seems to be the Warfield Pork Sandwich coming in at $16, lots of pork that you can eat with a fork before eating the entire burger. But besides that, most of the real menu items (even appetizers) are just too damn high. 2) Beer selection (specifically IPA) and taste wasn't that impressive. Perhaps IPAs aren't the main attraction here, but none of them were on the level of Mother Earth (Nampa, ID) and Revision (Reno, NV), which I view as the somewhat "local" gold standard for IPA. 3) Beer "flights" or lack thereof. First time I've been at a brewery where you can't pick and choose your own combination "flight" of beers, but instead given a single choice of a pre-selected flight (which is a combo of Ales, Lagers, Stouts). 4) Not a big deal, but it seemed like most of the times I've been in Ketchum, this place was closed for "private events". Felt like this was an exclusive club, and once I finally caught the place NOT closed for a private event, the food and beer didn't meet the hype. The interior and atmosphere inside were the biggest perks of coming here, 2nd story bathroom was clean. I was visiting in the winter, so the upstairs balcony wasn't open, BUT the real wood fireplace near the bar area made it extremely cozy inside. Overall, not saying to skip this place, but clearly wasn't my favorite. Soft 3 of out 5.

Wonderful! Delicious food and excellent service. Jessica is a master at juggling several tables flawlessly. Had the burger! Excellent. Wife had crispy cauliflower and it was perfect. Yes we loved our lunch experience.

While traveling in Idaho, we came upon this restaurant that was highly recommended by a the Visitors Center so we decided to try it our first night. This is an upscale distillery and brewery that serves the most amazing dishes by Chef Jay Verrege. We were quickly seated at a table for two. Not a whole lot of social distancing happening, but our table was kind of by itself. Our service was less than stellar, but we will get back to that later. Looking at the menu initially, nothing was looking all that good to me, but I happened to glance over by the bar and saw a chalkboard listing the specials of the day. I saw the Northern Pike Fish and Chips and knew I had to try it. My hubby decided on the Kalua Pork Sandwich. I would not have known about their specials as our server Emily failed to inform us. Anyways, my dish was absolutely incredible. The batter used on the fish was definitely the best I have ever ate. The fish was light, easy to eat and paired well with my Thorny Thistle Scottish Ale. The shoe string Idaho potatoes were also prepared just right. The Kale Pork sandwich was tasty and I loved the branding of the bread with a giant "W" for Warfield. Like I had mentioned earlier, we were sorely disappointed by Emily's lackluster service and it was obvious that she did not want to be working that night. We did return two nights later, and this time we stayed away from the main restaurant and sat at the bar. You are probably wondering why we returned, we just really enjoyed the tasty beer and food this place makes. Our bartender Jared totally made up for the other night in service. He was friendly, educated us all about the whiskey that the distillery makes, and provided us with samples of the whiskey too. We were having such a good time with him and a few other patrons that we decided to eat again. Jared took really good care of us and others. He even gave us a tasting glass for whiskey and some fun stickers! He really bumped up what would have been a three star review to a five star. Thank you Jared!!

Warfield went above and beyond with their hospitality and service. We showed up early evening (about 6 or 7pm). The bartender Justin was incredibly accommodating and gave us great recommendations, not to mention he makes an amazing cocktail! He also really took the time to get to know my Dad and I. The ambiance was also very comfortable and there was a great mix of young and older folks. Overall great experience and will be returning if I find myself in Ketchum.

They have a great ambiance and serve a wonderful Limelight (vodka, bitters Domaine de Canton, lime juice). I wanted something a little less sweet and Ian (see photo) made an amazing drink with gin, Domaine de Canton, lemon juice, & bitters. Bottom lime: Terrific drinks and wonderful setting!

Cool place, tasty cocktails! The hot toddy was delicious! My partner enjoyed the Apple of my Eye cocktail as well. Friendly bartenders, nice decor, and cozy fireplace in the corner all made for a fun little stop on a Saturday night after skiing all day.

Not sure why this doesn't have a higher rating. Came around 4pm on a Sunday and it was pretty mellow. Gorgeous view and the truffle fries were awesome. I will be coming back for a beer and some appetizers again! They need longer straws though

Great service, fresh food and fun drinks. We sat at the rooftop deck with our kids - great view and something for everyone.

Fancy schmancy drinks and fancy schmancy food for fancy schmancy prices! We enjoyed our rooftop lunch here and everything was great, but it felt a little unwelcoming when no one was at the hostess stand and they let us know only the rooftop was open. My husband was very happy this was a brewery and distillery, I was happy their menu included cheese curds! They also had French press coffee and, though not on the menu, it was great. The prices are the only thing that brings it down one star- $20 was the lowest for a meal and most were more. I didn't feel the food quality matched the high prices. We tried the poutine sweet potato fries, which featured melted cheese curds and gravy. They came out hot and they were very tasty! The crispy cauliflower was a little under seasoned and came with ranch and Buffalo sauce. Maybe sometime we will be back, the burgers looked great but we want to put our kids through college!

Sunday, June 11 - Food was bad. I had fish & chips - barely edible. Son had the burger and it was swimming in some lousy sauce. Wife had the poutine and the gravy looked so disgusting and it was awful. They could have somewhat redeemed themselves with halfway decent service, but they failed on that too. Nasty rude staff. I'll never come back. Only outdoor rooftop seating was available - and it was raining.

A welcome lunch after a hike! The burger was large so we split that and the fries. It was really good! My husband got the kolsch ale and I had the ale with lemon and blueberry. All was good and the weather up on the deck was pleasant and relaxing.

We came for an early dinner and to watch some football games but unfortunately the downstairs was closed for a private event. They have a great rooftop area but it was unseasonably warm without shade leading to a less than pleasant experience as we melted in the heat. The food here is great but it's definitely pricey. We actually spent more here than we did on our steak dinner at the Pioneer Saloon. We tried a few cocktails and the summer fling was the crowd favorite.

Stopped in for a drink and snack. Upstairs outdoor seating was open so found a nice table overlooking the street. Ordered fried cauliflower, beer. Amazing cauliflower. Spiced to perfection. Good beer. Great friendly service. Recommend to give it a try.

Really bad. I literally have a stomach ache writing this review and I hardly ate any of my food... We have been looking forward to trying Warfields and have heard good things about its' award winning chef. After our meal I'm assuming the award they won must've been Worst Chef in America?! The decor/vibe is really nice, the drinks were great but the service was lacking and the food was just plain bad. I specifically ordered my salmon clean and simply grilled with any sauce on the side and it came smothered in cloyingly sweet balsamic. So bad. My husbands steak was so awful I doubt our dog will even eat the leftovers. Our server never checked on us nor questioned our still full plates when dropping the check. Sorry but worst meal and service in Ketchum.

A little bit of a pricy spot for what we were looking for but definitely don't regret coming here. One of the best burgers I've ever had and the beet salad was delightful as well! Service was good and very covid friendly.

Really enjoyed this place. We had a really nice and enthusiastic server and the food was delicious! We started with the mussels and the sauce with them was perfectly flavorful and spicy (which I love) and the quinoa salad, also very yummy and fresh. I got the burger and my boyfriend got the short rib, both were great. I would definitely recommend checking out this place!

The food is DELICIOUS!!! I recommend the truffle fries and the chicken sandwich, they are so worth the price! Our waitress was a sweet gal with an accent and she was such a doll! She gave us so many fun ideas to do around sun valley. 10/10 recommend!!!

I don't go on ski trips to be a food critic but this place would benefit from the feedback, especially considering that the chef is apparently James Beard/Michelin recognized, and now my stomach hurts. I ordered the steak fingers and fried oysters to start. Fried oysters were awful. Slimy, mushy, with a sickening aftertaste. The dish was removed and comped without hesitation. Steak fingers were much better. In the realm of ski-town elevated pub fare, an okay offering. The main course was the "Braised Prime Beef Brisket" which, on the receipt, is actually called the "Whiskey Wash Brisket." If I had known this, I never would have risked it. It's brisket, and a hearty portion of brisket at that, submerged in an alcohol-forward, salty, syrupy wash. My guess is that the "wash" part of the braising process, when not performed carefully, will result in a dish overpowered by the scent of brown liquor. To be clear: I could not inhale deeply over the plate without coughing due to what I can only assume were alcohol fumes. I suppose that this *can* work, but from the perspective of someone who actually ate it, what I received was offensive to the nostrils and tastebuds. The meat was tender, but the sauce was so salty and sweet and yuck that I was trying to dab it off before each bite. Imagine Subway's sweet onion teriyaki sauce mixed with ... whiskey ... with a little rendered beef fat and a lot of extra salt. I think I've drunk 40 ounces of water since I started writing this review. If I complained twice at the restaurant, I'd be a Karen looking for free stuff. Now, maybe there is a chance someone will see this and take a look. Simple idea: take the fried oysters off the menu, then serve the whiskey wash to every employee and start by assessing if everyone can stomach it. I barely could.

Good beer. Limited menu. Our food was good, not great and more expensive than it was worth. It was so loud that we had a very hard time hearing our waitress. We had to keep asking her to repeat herself. I would not choose to return.

What a cool spot! Beautifully designed and felt like a nice treat to stop by somewhere like this after all the sandwiches we had been eating on our road trip. We just stopped by a for a flight of beer and opted to sit on their rooftop patio at 8PM on a weeknight. We were the ONLY ones up on the roof because it was freezing that night and the lights were off so we drank in the dark. We could've gone downstairs to ask them to turn them on, but we didn't want the hassle. Beers were great and we were happy to see the staff wearing masks. Looks like they have some pretty great food options here so will have to try next time we're in town.

Due to some last minute Mother Nature circumstances (wild fires) we had to completely re-plan our 70 person wedding in 48 hours. Fortunately for us, the Warfield didn't have an event that night and we were able to host our guests for a night of dinner, drinks and dancing on the upstairs deck. From the initial meeting and throughout the event, the staff was wonderful. The food was on point, the vibe great and the drinks flowed. Kudos to the staff and management, you all stepped up and knocked this out of the park, and we will be forever thankful.

Took me a while to review this place when we were on our road trip to Idaho. The rooftop patio is beautiful but they have a long way to go with the social distancing at this point. Customers were right on top of each other and looked like business as usual, but if you know me I am actually not a big fan of that anyway but I know some may find it helpful to know. Now the food is another thing. I got the burger that was amazing. I am such a burger junkie so I love when the juice from the meat runs down my hand. It was great. I also discovered something I did not know existed but I am glad I didnt because I would be 900lbs......Halloumi!!!!! If you dont know what it is you need to do yourself a favor and try it. I could have ate this for the rest of my life. Great little place with a great beer selection.
