Union Station’s Firehouse Restaurant Woodie Fisher Is Now Serving Lunch - Eater Denver

"Denverites can now have lunch in one of the city’s first firehouses: Woodie Fisher Kitchen and Bar, which opened last month in the former House House No. 1 in the Union Station neighborhood, kicked off lunch service this week. The new lunch menu from Executive Chef Franco Ruiz, who spent six years at farm-to-table staple Fruition Restaurant on Sixth Avenue before taking the reins at Woodie Fisher, will feature a selection of sandwiches, burgers and salads, including a chicken shawarma and a crispy steak torta. There will also be a new Woodie Fisher Burger topped with Havarti cheese and smoked bacon and a brat. The lunch menu will also feature items from the dinner menu like Wagyu beef tartare and cured trout. Woodie Fisher will now be open at 11 a.m. with lunch served until 2:30 p.m. Dinner service begins at 5 p.m. The restaurant is also introducing a happy hour from 2:30 to 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to close where diners will be able to get select dishes at discounted prices as well as half-priced beers and $5 glasses of wine." - Paul Albani-Burgio

Former Fruition Chef Shakes Up Woodie Fisher - Eater Denver

"Woodie Fisher restaurant, housed in one of the city’s earliest firehouses, has a new menu by executive chef Franco Ruiz. The restaurant space reflects its heritage, featuring a bar, chef’s table, and patio, with a main dining room lit by a skylight and light fixtures fashioned out of fire hoses. The menu focuses on seasonal, sustainable, and local ingredients, offering a variety of starters, flatbreads, entrees, and drinks. Woodie Fisher is open daily for dinner." - Georgina Rupp

We stopped into Woodie Fisher for breakfast on our way out of town to ski. The building was once a firehouse and they left a lot of the original structure in place. It was really cool and they decorated beautifully. We ordered coffees, steel cut oats and the firehouse breakfast. I am told the firehouse breakfast was wonderful. The sausage was cut into cubes and fried crispy on every side. The entire plate was cooked perfectly and was very filling. My oatmeal was fine, how one would expect it to be. The toppings were good. I appreciated that our server was able to ensure I was not eating anything I am allergic to. She was quick and helpful. All and all a great experience.

Pleasantly surprised with this downtown restaurant. Food was good and reasonably priced. One gripe was that the calamari appetizer was a bit small. For groups of three or more you’d need to order two. Service was quick and friendly. I’d eat here again.

The hospitality was very disappointing. We were a group of eight. Called at 7:15 and reserved a table for 8:00. We arrived on time and were enjoying everything. Then suddenly we were asked by our server for a last call order from the bar. This was before the main courses arrived. It changed the entire vibe. The food was delicious but as soon as the entrees were served our server asked for a dessert order! They were rushing us out. None of us had ever been treated like that in any restaurant. And, everyone of us had worked in restaurants before. Last call? We were in the dining room running up a large bill! The manager gave little satisfaction. He blamed the server. If they weren’t able to accommodate our large party they shouldn’t have taken the reservation. We thought it was fine dining. Mistake. Wine service and selections were poor. I did leave my bag there by mistake however, and a staff member made a run to get it back to me. Cheers for that.

Food was good as usual! The hostess Maven was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and accommodating to our group when we wanted to move inside. She checked on us regularly and got us set up to watch a show that they were having a watch party for. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed when she didn’t have to and it wasn’t necessarily her job! She made our night so much better!

Google
We came to Woodie Fisher for a Love Island watch party—which, first of all, was a genius idea. The vibe was great, and we were excited for the event. Maven stepped in… and truly saved the experience. Even though she was originally a hostess, she jumped in as our server at the beginning of the night and was absolutely amazing. She was upfront that it was her first time serving, which made her grace under pressure even more impressive. Everything she ordered came out correctly, and she was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. Her transparency and willingness to take accountability stood out and honestly made a huge difference in our experience. Later, we were switched over to a different server—the one who had initially seated us outside—and unfortunately, the tone completely changed. This server was noticeably rude, both at the start and once she took over our table. The contrast between her passive-aggressive attitude and Maven’s warm and genuine approach was striking. If I could request Maven every time I come in, I absolutely would. She made the night feel welcoming despite the chaos, and I hope the restaurant recognizes what a gem they have in her. Give that girl more shifts!

Great place! We celebrated my birthday here during Denver Restaurant Week and it was amazing. It was very busy but our service was still on point and everyone's food was cooked to perfection. I look forward to visiting again.

Google
For the first time with my daughters to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday and had an amazing night. The food was great the wings I asked for extra crispy and the sauce on them was delicious. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza which was the perfect size for him and my daughter’s and I shared a Barada appetizer. We enjoyed the brussels sprouts the drinks were on point, but the service was phenomenal. Our server. Bianca was great and Susette Miller the manager even stopped by to make our day extra special.

Well let’s start we make a reservation at 7:30 on a Saturday we got there the hostess were nice the guy and the girl but the girl had her blouse all wrinkled and the guy untucked his shirt and both didn’t look professional but they were nice! We seated on the bar and no one acknowledged Yeah us for like 10 minutes, the bar was as dirty and they complained about something. Super unprofessional. The food was mediocre for the price , I have been in so many places this place There were had a lot potential but I’m not coming back. Save your money save your money and go to another place is so many way better this place is only good for some pictures! The server was nice. And sorry about my grammar I don’t write in English that often.

Yelp
I had dinner here 4 nights in a row and the service and food was consistent every night. Each dish was full of flavor and tested fresh. Food was always hot upon arrival. The restaurant is cozy, music is not too loud. The restaurant and hotel make a great duo.

Yelp
Awesome staff, really nice setting partnering with the Hilton Garden Inn Union Station Hotel. Food was really good, inventive menu.

Yelp
Early brunch on a Monday and it was almost empty! Our wait person was amazing! Last day of vacay so I opted for something interesting, the brunch fried rice. My hubby got biscuits and gravy! Everything arrived quickly. I shouldn't have ordered a side of potatoes but they were good! Fingerling potatoes deep fried with a perfect sprinkling of salt! The rice came out in its own cast iron personal skillet. This made the rice perfectly crispy on the bottom which I love! The Filipino sausage was chunky cubes, like pork belly and very tasty! I especially loved the cute little mushrooms marinated in a light vinegar and scallions with a beautiful poached egg nestled in the center! The biscuit is and gravy were good too! Every dish we could've split! I'd highly recommend the fried rice! Go there! Get some! Life is too short for boring food!

Yelp
The ambienceis really beautiful. It's a emptied out fire station with the touch of Romance, which really inspired my walk-in however, I only went in for a cocktail with a few friends and the demeanor of the server well... She was obviously upset that we walk in an hour before closing however, we would've stayed a little longer and maybe have another round if our server wasn't so obviously pissed. So maybe I'll come later on in the future with the hopes of different experiences

Yelp
Came on a Sunday morning fairly early. We were seating immediately and brought water. Our party was slowly waking up, so we were eventually all together, but I appreciated that our entire party didn't have to be there at the same time. They have a great menu and one of the unique items is Filipino fried rice. Coming from a Filipino household, it's rare to find Filipino influenced food especially in Denver. This was such a treat and was delicious. Not quite traditional longganisa but I loved the spin on it. Sara made sure that were taken care of, and it was a great experience. This spot may be in a hotel however it would be a great date night spot and is very walkable in the city! I plan on coming back and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for breakfast and will keep you posted on how dinner goes. Overall 5/5!

Yelp
First things first, we had excellent service from Hanna behind the bar. I hadn't been here since pre covid and I feel like the quality may have dipped just a bit, but it's still solid. Great happy hour wine and beer deals 4-6. Had the shrimp scampi and steak frites, both good, the scampi was the most unique of the two. Didn't grab any of the cocktails but the ones coming out looked yummy.

Yelp
I was really excited to visit Woodie Fisher since I was visiting from AZ. I am a person that studies menus before visiting a restaurant and unfortunately everything I had my eye one was not available. Literally 3 menu items I tried ordering I was told they didn't have. It was a Friday during brunch time. Besides that, this place was really nice and had the best natural lighting. Service was great as well.

Yelp
I was bummed I didn't have a better experience at this place. It was my last night in Denver on my surprise Pack Up and Go trip for my birthday and they sent me to Woodie Fisher for dinner. I was excited because this was the one restaurant they gave me a gift card to and also it looked so cool being in a former firehouse! It was a Saturday night and pretty busy, but there wasn't a line or wait or anything (I had reservations anyway). They sat me at a big table next to the bar right in front of the kitchen. Out of all my dinners in Denver this whole week, this was the only awkward one basically because the server didn't engage with me at all. I asked my server for drink suggestions, like I usually do. I'm not picky and when I can't decide what to choose, I usually ask what they like/recc and will go with that. My server seemed flustered that I asked and basically was like "it depends what you want" and I explained I'm willing to try anything and just wanted suggestions. She would not give me any drink suggestions at all. I went with the strawberry spritz and she disappeared for what seemed like an eternity. I ordered my dinner and my drink had still not come out yet. My lavender toast arrived and it was delicious, but my drink still had not come out yet and the server was nowhere to be found. I was right next to the kitchen so finally saw her coming and going, and she wouldn't even stop at my table - I had to flag her down and ask for my drink which she finally brought. For dinner, I went with the duck. It was SO good, very glad I went with it. But my server disappeared again. She never checked on me once. I wanted another drink but she was nowhere to be found. I ate my entire dinner and she didn't once check on me to see how everything was. Yet she continued hurrying past my table as again, I was right next to the kitchen. It was almost amusing to me that she never once stopped. She finally came over to clear my plate, never asking how anything was. Good thing it was delicious :) At that point, I wasn't really in the mood for a dinner type drink so I got a glass of the port. It was good but a little too on the sweet side for me so I didn't finish it also because I felt weird that I had just sat there all night being ignored. I'm going back and forth for stars on this. The food was very good and the location/building was really neat! But the service especially on the last night of my birthday trip was severely lacking. I hope she was just having a bad night.

Yelp
Loved the food! Started with the steak tartare and burrata toast. Both were great. I felt that the steak tartare beef didn't look as appetizing for some reason. The burrata toast had a great balance of flavors. For our mains we had the duck and ny strip. The duck was cooked well but not perfect. It's such a difficult protein and I'm convinced I will only find a handful of restaurants that can pull it off perfectly. The plate was gorgeous and I loved the balance of flavors especially with the berries. The bread pudding was a bit doughy. The steak and potato was masterfully cooked. The plate looked not as pretty but the food was delicious. The desserts were all great as well. The s'mores brownie plating was appetizing and the dish as a whole was not too sweet and yummy. The banana tiramisu didn't have much tiramisu flavor. The crumb on the side was my favorite and the caramel sauce. The tiramisu was a good tiramisu but I felt that it was too creamy and didn't have all the layers that a tiramisu has. All the drinks were good. I loved the apple cider martini. I loved the warm apple and cinnamon flavors in martini form. The strawberry gin drink with pepper and egg white was good not mind blowing. The whiskey drink with the toasted marshmallow was delicious. Especially the graham cracker rim gave the drink a nice and buttery flavor. The espresso martini was good also not mind blowing. The service was really good and everyone was friendly. Also loved the trendy decor. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Worth it. Great outdoor seating and chill atmosphere inside. Great for a full meal or a drink after the baseball game. All the food was delicious. The flatbread was so good we ordered another. The scallops and New York strip were perfectly cooked. The rum cake and s'mores brownie were an excellent way to top it off. Great cocktail selections and the blueberry lavender lemonade was delicious. The house manager and our waitress were both friendly and helpful.

Yelp
What a cool restaurant! I love the exposed brick and the high ceilings and the amazing windows and such cool chandeliers. The service was impeccable-just outstanding. My husband and I were in for a much anticipated date night on Saturday. We had a great time. We both had specialty summer cocktails. I had the margarita and he had the the mule with bourbon (I have to say I did have a little bit of drink envy). The star of the show was the burrata- Yum! The Dungeness crab was also really good. As far as the mahi-mahi, we thought that everything except the mahi was great. Honestly I would've been happy with just more rice and the curry and the sides that came with it. The fish canes as pretty small pieces and the was dry and rather flavorless, and we felt like we could have made better mahi at home for a fraction of the price. But since it was an overall good experience we'd definitely go back for drinks and burrata!

Yelp
Woodie Fisher Kitchen + Bar in downtown Denver is a foodie gem. My favorite dishes include the 10oz steak (medium), seared scallops, ricotta agnolotti, brussel sprouts, steak tartare, Casarecce Woodie Fisher Burger do a great job at showing off the chefs unique dishes. The Grilled Caesar Salad for 4 is a great place to start. The portion sizes are great too! Desserts like Almond Coffee Cake and pumpkin cheesecake provide a sweet finale that you cannot skip. The ambiance is casually inviting, perfect for a laid-back evening. Even on a quieter Tuesday night, the experience remains top-notch. Kudos to the excellent server for great drinks and service (I forgot his name ). In a nutshell, Woodie Fisher Kitchen + Bar earns a solid 10/10 for its delicious menu, inviting atmosphere, and stellar service--a foodie haven in downtown Denver. If you appreciate a good meal, highly recommend this foodie spot.

Yelp
We came for dinner this past Friday (1/19) during our visit to Denver. My cousin made the reservation with high hopes the food would be good. Unfortunately, it was very subpar. What we ordered....Apple cider martini (not good at all), Elderflower sour (yummy), the meat lovers pizza and shishito peppers were just okay, and the pumpkin cheesecake was blah. On the upside, our waitress was very nice and attentive. We felt bad every time she asked if we were enjoying our meal that we had to lie. But she was so sweet lol.

Yelp
We loved our visit. Caught the end of HH and decided to eat dinner at the bar. To be honest, this was an experience that was destined for a solid 4 but the service of Hanna made it a 5. Cyrus (not sure of spelling) was the other bartender, and although we talked to only Hanna, he seemed to be also on his game. The HH is solid. $5 lager that is not bad ($4 on the website), and $5 wine that my wife said was solid. $2 off the cocktails is cool, but you ARE near downtown, so deals are tough. The building is nostalgic, and one side is very open with lots of windows and the other is more indoors-y. Sorry. I didn't take pics of the place except for the food on this visit. But, LOVED the space. The bar has a really cool vibe, and filled up fast. Wood bar, plenty of seats. If looking for sports, they had it on, but it wasn't behind the bar, so you are aware. TV's were on the side. So, don't go there FOR sports, but know that sports will be on if you want it in the background. You can do a date night with a big game and steal glances of it. I got the shrimp scampi with gnocchi. Solid, solid, solid. Smaller portion, but it made me appreciate every bite. Wife got the steak and frites, and it was good. I think they should season their delicious fries a little more, but we loved them overall. Steak was cooked great. I recommend getting the horsey aioli with the fries. Overall, our experience was great, and Hanna (without the ending "h") was personable, efficient, and nice. Highly recommend, and see you there.

Yelp
This was an excellent place adjacent to the Hilton Hotel. Service was outstanding, and it's quite elegant inside. Their pizzas and salads were delicious! I didn't get any photos, but I still recall how tasty they were. I recommend adding chicken to the Caesar salad. Most notably, they have a "Woodie Fisher" lager made locally by Odell Brewing. Quite frankly, this is probably one of the best lagers I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I had to come back again during my visit, just to have another pint! Next time I'll try to get to Odell Brewing to see if they have it on tap. Overall a great spot to unwind and relax. Worth visiting even just for their Odell Lager!

Yelp
A friend and I met up for dinner here. The space is really beautiful and it was easy to hear each other which isn't always the case in larger spaces. I ordered the burger but asked to leave off the cheese and onion (intolerance) and bacon (personal preference). Even with over 50% of the ingredients left off, this was a solid burger. The aioli was delish as was the relish. I inhaled this burger in probably under five minutes. I did sub out the fries for a mixed greens salad - no delusions I was saving calories with the salad, it just sounded better than the fries tonight. Our server was amazing! She totally helped me navigate the two options I was looking at to best accommodate some unfortunate food intolerances and couldn't have been better.

Yelp
Must visit for a good fine dine experience. The ambiance is unique, the service excellent. I tried the westbound and down IPA that I really enjoyed. Pretty much stuck to this order through the evening. Started with the Blistered Shishito Peppers & Grilled Lavender Sourdough. Both are good light appetizers. The Butter with the sourdough was fresh & yummy!! The House Made Burrata Toast is my favorite item here. The Green Tomato Jam is so flavorful and pairs well with Basil and Burrata. A must try! For main course, I tried the Gnocchi with Tomato, Porcini and Vegetables. The texture was perfect for each bite. I am not a dessert person but the few bites of Apple Crumble Struesel was nice. The portion size is big even for 2 people to share. Overall, a really nice experience. P.S They offer complimentary valet parking through Hilton Gardens next door.

Yelp
Restaurant has moral and ethical issues that need to be addressed. Service is mediocre at best. Not worth the money for a night out with family or on a date.

Yelp
My husband and I went for restaurant week and it was the perfect way to explore this place for the first time. 3 courses each for $55. We started with beer/wine, octopus carpaccio, burrata, duck, steak, dessert, and a glass of scotch. Our server Justin gave great recommendation and was very attentive. The inside was very industrial with exposed brick and exposed beams.

Yelp
I don't know why this place is not always crowded. It's one of my favorite restaurants. I enjoy dinner but my favorite is brunch. They have great cocktails and also Mocktails. The building is beautiful and staff always very nice and attentive. Crab Benedict has been my go-to.

Yelp
This place is a wonderful date night spot! It's housed in an old fire station and has very unique decorations which gives it a beautiful appeal. The staff was so friendly and had great recommendations. My favorite dish was the fall pasta. It was so savory and had so much flavor in every bite. I loved the espresso martini because it was made with coffee liquor instead of espresso so it had a kick in every sip!!! We finished off with their homemade s'mores dish and it was the perfect way to end our night! Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful - it is within the oldest standing fire station in Denver. The website does a great job speaking of this- check it out. I only wish it was also mentioned within the restaurant - or made known. They have a great happy hour which can be located in their online menu. Definitely check out the happy hour for great prices anywhere you can try multiple items. The food came out very quick and was overall pretty good- I would say the Shishito peppers could use more blistering and were undercooked and the Cesar salad had greens that were more white and yellow than green. It just may have been an off day for those items- but that is why I give 4 stars. Cheers!
google avatar

Sierra S.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. The interior of the restaurant is sophisticated yet warm and inviting. Every food dish hit the mark with quality ingredients and a variety of flavors and textures. The staff were attentive and made excellent food recommendations. For date nights or a celebration, even just a treat yourself, this is highly recommended.

Yelp
Pros: Attached to Hilton Beautiful decor - loved the dining room with the high ceilings and tree in the middle Cons: It took a while for us to be greatest and seated Our server acted like he didn't want to be there, rarely checked on us Food took over 30 minutes to get to us ODell IPA is like drinking water My NY strip was over cooked Pro tip: I'd only go here if it is snowing outside, you need a place to eat and are staying at the Hilton. There are so many other great places in town with better food and service.

Yelp
Woodie Fisher is a favorite among my friends and I. They accommodate large groups for birthday dinners, celebrations, etc. The brunch is great and I love to bring visitors here. The brunch fried rice is a must order. We also consistently order the burrata toast and caesar salad. For dinner, the burger or steak are satisfying choices. The service is usually good, though we showed up to our brunch reservation and they let us know that we needed to leave in an hour because of a private event. With better attention to all guests' experiences, this would be a 5-star spot.
google avatar

Shelby S.

Yelp
Items we ordered: elderflower sour, pomegranate mojito, grilled Caesar salad, seared duck breast While the service was subpar and the portions were a bit small, woodie fisher still had plenty to offer due to a great drink menu and very tasty food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and it was quiet, it did take about an hour for our food to come out which seems a little excessive for a salad, but we also ordered the duck which may have taken longer. The quality of the flavor with the dishes were delicious but the portion sizing did not seem to reflect the price. Overall would give it a 3.5 but it was worth trying out, will probably return in the future but just for drinks and an appetizer.

Kaley F.

Yelp
Can I give a million stars?? Firstly, I've been to woodie fisher probably and upwards of 30 times in the last few years, love it here, by far my fav brunch spot. But today sealed the deal. I came with my friend and our 2 dogs and casually mentioned to our server Sarah that it was my dog's 10th birthday. Didn't ask for anything for her, but Sarah brought out ice water for both dogs and continued to refill the ice in the bowl every time she came to check on us (hot day!). The food is always amazing, but this review is about the service and true hospitality. AFTER we'd already paid, Sarah asked if we were in any hurry to leave. We were both still sipping our mimosas and said no, and she said the chef would like to prepare something for my dog's 10th birthday. Moments later, Sarah and another server came out with plates of eggs and bacon (with a side of whipped cream for dessert). I have always loved this place, I am now forever loyal THANK YOU SARAH, you made our whole weeke

Yelp
I only came to this restaurant because of a reservation during restaurant week. I brought my parents here when they were visiting Denver for the weekend and this was their first restaurant week experience, and it did not disappoint. I was immediately impressed by the ambience and the interior of the restaurant. I was very surprised that this is actually a restaurant part of a Hilton hotel. There is never a restaurant that's good in a hotel - the guest of this hotel are really lucky. The service was prompt, and the staff was extremely friendly. They gave out postcards and we wrote them during our dining experience. The host said he will mail them out for us. We have postcards going across the entire country talking about this place. What great Free Press for them! I am unsure if the menu items I had during restaurant week are different than the usual menu. I had the burata as an appetizer. The cheese with soft and melted in my mouth, and I liked the sweet taste of the jam with it as well. I had the steak cooked medium with the potato. The steak cut was more fatty, but the sauce was mouthwatering. The appetizer and entrée cooking was to perfection. To top off a delicious meal was a more delicious dessert - tiramisu! I love that the tiramisu had little flowers on it, and I did eat them. I will return here to eat, as well as just come to the bar if I want an experience that is more upscale. This would be a perfect location for a date night, an anniversary, or any type of special celebration.

Yelp
My family and I love Woodie Fisher. We come here often for the Woodie Fisher burger - what USED to be the best burger in Denver! We came in tonight and it is gone from the menu and restaurant entirely. Big mistake on property owner's part. This was a crowd favorite and the only reason we come in. Please bring back if you want people to come! No change to service - it's always been great and still is! Love the staff, they're always super friendly.

Michael C.

Yelp
Disappointment and then some. Food took forever and when it finally did arrive, it was laughable. The scallop entree was sent on a bed off pasta that wouldn't feed a mouse. The portion took up 1/6 of the plate it was brought out on and it was shocking to see something come out of a kitchen looking like that. It was a kids size meal. Our other entree was an undercooked steak and a burnt potato. Not a good night at the Woodie Fisher.
google avatar

Gina K.

Yelp
We have passed by Woodie Fishers on our way to the stadium many a times but finally took advantage of Denver Restaurant Week to check it out. It is an old fire house converted to a swanky, moody and modern restaurant connected to the Hilton hotel. The $45 prefix mani had many app and entree options. We elected to have the ahi tuna tartare and the lettuce wraps. The tuna was mixed in with beets which was unique but has way too much sauce on it. The lettuce wraps were extremely small and didn't have mush filling. Our entrees were the gnocchi with lamb ragu and pork short ribs had many layers of flavor. The gnocchi was soft but not many in the dish, seemed like a lot more ragu than gnocchi. The desserts were overly sweet. I would check out other dished next time and try their brunch as I have heard it is really good!

Yelp
Man o' man, I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got to on Christmas. I am not sure if it was b/c it was the holiday or what, but everything we ate, was just oily and gross. We started on a high note at the bar with bloody marys. They were house-made with a hint of spice. The first round of bloodies had bacon but the second round was missing the slice. I normally would be a bit bummed but the bacon they put in the glass was cold and dried out and almost white from the fat. For two of our entrees, we ordered the crab benedict. I had my eggs scrambled and my friend got hers as listed on the menu. My other friend got the burger, medium. My crab benedict was fine, albeit the potato pancake was soaking in oil. More oil than you get when you order the McDonald's hashbrown. There was almost no hollandaise sauce on mine and not much crab. Certainly, nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My friend's benedict was a total disaster. Her eggs were hard-boiled (literally) and her potatoes were also saturated in grease. We asked for new eggs and after about 10 minutes of waiting, she asked for an entire new disk as the grease on her plate was making her sick to her stomach. She ended up ordering the tuna tartare after telling the manager she didn't want a dish with any mayo or cream. My friend's burger was basic, however it was also overcooked and brown. The bacon that came were her burger also looked like it had been setting out for a few days. The fries were unsalted and were pretty plain. Would have been nice if there were some seasoning or parmesan cheese of skin-on potatoes or something. They were like McDonalds fries, without the salt. My friend's tuna dish finally arrived with aoli covering the plate (after she mentioned she didn't want mayo or anything creamy to the manager). The tuna was overcooked with most pieces almost all the way cooked or grey in color. We also got a side of brussels sprouts that were literally SWIMMING in what tasted like Ken's Steakhouse honey mustard. Brussel sprouts and honey mustard just wasn't a mix we were a fan of, especially when the dressing was dripping off the vegetable. We ended up throwing in the towel after this and paying the check. All this to say, we won't be back as the food is not cheap ($19 for my brunch entree plus drinks). I would maybe consider coming back and having drinks on the patio, but would skip the food. The interior was lovely and staff was great. The service was accommodating and super friendly. The manager was apologetic and friendly as well. Unfortunately, the food was terrible, for lack of a better word. Or maybe it's better when it's not Christmas?

Yelp
Food was great. Not your typical American fare. Great for a nicer restaurant without breaking the bank. Good prices, great ambiance. Service was good. It was a Monday night and it wasn't too busy. I recommend going for happy hour!

Yelp
The restaurant is located in what I believe was an old renovated firehouse. That might not seem super appealing, but I can assure you the ambiance is spot on! They have a beautiful skylight in the main dining area, and the rest of the restaurant is very well designed. My favorite thing that was ordered was their steak tartare. Other than that, I found their food to be good but not outstanding. Service was good and my overall experience was very pleasant.

Yelp
This place is the perfect spot for a date night. We came here as it is in our passport for food so we got a free drink but we went again after our first time. The place is very beautiful with a big statement tree in the middle and a patio for the summer time. I love their Caesar salad as it is grilled and their dressing has hints of lemon which is delicious! The Brussels are unbelievable and their pizzas are small but I got it as dinner for myself and didn't finish it. Burger is incredible too! It is in the pricey side but worth it

Yelp
Came here for weekend brunch. Super cute atmosphere. Four stars for the food, but the extra star is for beautiful decor and architecture. The building used to be a fire house, and they've retained many of the original elements, including the exposed brick walls. Lots of natural light and spaces for open windows, even in the wintertime. Really pretty bar set up, and the booths for seating were nice as well. Food was typical brunch fare. Eggs a few different ways, bacon, etc. I didn't love that the menu is very a la carte--you have to pay extra for bacon or potatoes, if you don't just want a simple plate of eggs! Service was friendly. Hubby and I enjoyed our experience and will likely be back. I'd be interested to try their dinner menu to see how it compares. I hear the burger is fantastic. Overall, this restaurant is a solid pick, particularly for the atmosphere. It's also close to the Rockies stadium, so there's great people watching on game days!

Yelp
I ordered the NY strip steak for lunch and it came out extremely tough and dry. It tasted like it had been frozen then thawed at least a couple of times. If I wanted a mediocre steak, I could have stayed home and cooked one myself. The server (James) was extremely rude to me from the start and never came to check on me after bringing out my food. So I was only able to tell him when he came to take my plate of steak away (the mushrooms thaon the side were cold but at least edible). The manager never came out to apologize. I would have preferred they were able to remake me a decent steak instead of comping it. I walked away with an empty belly and a bad taste in my mouth. Awful experience overall. I would never come back.

Yelp
Christen the director of food and beverage put new meaning into WOW customer service as she verbally attacked a group of lifetime diamond members from across the dining room for having starbucks cups. despite the guests willingness to place there cups on another table and not consume them while purchasing breakfast from this restaurant Christen, who we will now refer to as karen, again felt the over whelming need to scream across the restaurant that we were violating health code violations. It's disappointing to see such a terrible display of customer and pathetic leadership by a senior manager. I do want to add that our server and the rest of the staff in the restaurant and at the hotel were outstanding throughout our stay. It is a good thing they do t follow Karen's example of customer service. needless to say this is one place that won't get a repeat visit from us.

Yelp
Came here for Easter brunch before a Rockies game and had a lovely meal. The space is beautiful with high ceilings, lots of windows, and beautiful brick. It had a bright and airy vibe and could see myself having many more brunches here for ambiance alone. Very pretty. The service was great, our lady was very prompt and friendly. The food and drinks were good. We started with the Burrata toast which was quite tasty even though I was a tad sad it was a house made whipped Burrata versus a whole piece of cheese. The Green tomato jam was flavorful and with a drizzle of honey on top the flavors all melded nicely together. A very tasty appetizer to start with. For entrees we got the Burger which was exceptional and the King Crab Benedict which was good but not stellar. The presentation was a bit sloppy (see photo) and after looking at other photos on here I feel like maybe they short changed me on the portion of crab idk. I probably wouldn't order this again but I would order that burger every day and twice on Sunday. I'm not the biggest red meat girlie but damn, I think that was the best burger I've had in a whiiiiile. Maybe it was the Havarti? That is one of my favorite cheeses, paired with their tomato jam they put on. So good. The cocktails also were good. I asked if they could make their butterfly pea mocktail with alcohol and they were more than happy to oblige. It was very refreshing and pretty to look at so I definitely enjoyed it but I would say none of the cocktails were life changing (I also tried the spicy watermelon margarita I forgot the name) my husband got the Bloody Mary which was good, he asked for spicy and got a nice kick of heat and it was garnished with all the fixings. I would say come for the food and stick with your traditional brunch cocktails (bloodys and mimosas) and that will suit your fancy just fine. I saw plenty of people ordering mimosas and I considered it but as we were going to the ball game after and mimosas tend to make me sleepy I refrained. All in all and very pleasant and tasty brunch. I loved the space so much during the morning hours that I genuinely wonder if I would even want to come here when it's dark to try their dinner menu lol.

Yelp
No way! I've been living life, I guess. But a part of living that life is visiting this spot. If you haven't been, you're missing out. The building alone is the oldest in Denver. When your address is a landmark building that used to be a fire department, that explains the giant doors It's sufficient to say that you gotta elevate no matter what you put here. In my opinion, Woodie Fisher did more than that. The old building was upgraded minimally. They kept what they could and the result is stunning. The inside looks like it's been a restaurant for years and years. The leather chairs look equally worn. The food: rich, full of flavors, tons of texture, and I love that the amount of each dish is not exorbitant. It will still fill you up. If you order what we did-you won't regret it 100%! Dining that's to be trusted. The food is amazing. The last four times I still feel the samecway. The ambience is amazing. Food is their business. I tell you this is one of my top five restaurants. I've never meet a dish. that I didn't like here.

Yelp
It's been a little bit since I've been here, and will say the service/experience has gone downhill. We had a reservation for 6 of us on Friday, and arrived 5 minutes ahead of our reservation, and were seated right away, and provided menus. Our server came over and filled our waters, and took our drink order shortly after us being seated. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks; this is unacceptable. The restaurant had some people in it, but there were multiple empty tables, and I don't think 3 cocktails, two wines, and a draft beer should take a half hour. Our food arrived a little bit after that, and my burger was good (not great) - I asked for it medium rare, and it was cooked closer to medium. The French fries were crispy, salty and good - and they were able to give me sour cream to dip them in, which was really nice. Overall, I'm not sure if this is due to the sale/change in ownership, but I'm not sure that I'll be back. There's too many other places in the neighborhood with better service, and food.

Yelp
We loved Woodie Fisher! The food and drinks were outstanding and nice ambiance. Kitchen was a bit slow, but service was great.

Yelp
The food was bland from the jerk chicken to the slaw and fried plantains. However, the service and management was very good. Great location right in the hotel. Ambiance was great too!

Yelp
Awesome breakfast spot with excellent food & atmosphere. This old fire station has been converted to a restaurant while preserving its history. From the coffee to the sausage & breakfast potatoes (both not to be missed!) the attention to detail is on point. We ate pancakes & "Build your Own" breakfast- both were great.

Yelp
"Wee-woo, Wee-woo, Wee-woo", that's the sirens coming for you, Woodie Fisher, because you are FIIIIRE! + Drinks They have beer, wine, cocktails and even mocktails! I went for the Smoke Jumper and Barrel Aged Manhattan. The Smoke Jumper is a SMOKE SHOW! Your waiter brings it to the table and lights it on fire with a mini torch. It funnels the smoke directly into the glass, until you pop the top off and release it. It's AWESOME and a must get if you're there! Unfortunately, The Barrel Aged Manhattan had a tough act to follow and did not impress me as much. It was a bit too strong. If you want to try both, I'd say get the Barrel Aged Manhattan before the Smoke Jumper... or just get the Smoke Jumper twice, lol. + Apps They have a bunch of different options for apps in the form of bites, appetizers and shareables. We tried the Brussels Sprouts, Blistered Shishito Peppers and Ahi Tuna Tartare. The Brussels Sprouts ignited our taste buds! Collectively, they were the group's favorite. I'd definitely order them again, along with a few other new ones: House Made Burrata Toast, French Onion Pizza or the Achiote Roasted Kabocha Squash. + Entree They really cover the proteins with having a fish, a steak, a chicken, a pork, a vegetarian and a burger option. I appreciate this for a few reasons! 1. They give options for more dietary types but not too many. 2. They are each unique with flavors from Southern, Italian or American. I ended up getting the 10oz New York Steak. It's Certified Angus Beef, Woodie Fisher Steak Sauce, Foraged Mushrooms, Roasted Cipollini, Butter Poached Potato and Sour Cream. The steak was cooked as I requested, a perfect medium rare. It was a beautiful cut and had great flavor! My only caveat was that I would have loved for the fat to be more rendered and to have had more of the Woodie Fisher Steak Sauce. The sauce was an absolute blaze of flavor on the plate and really took bites to another level. Next time, I'm looking forward to trying the Pan Roasted Icelandic Cod. A member of my party got it, and it looked in-cod-ibly delicious. Plus, he ate the entire thing! A telling sign that it was a nice catch, lol. + Dessert They have drinks and sweet treats for dessert! We had the Chocolate Brownie and Vietnamese Coffee Panna Cotta. Both will be burned into my taste buds' heart forever. The Chocolate Brownie was served with a scoop of vanilla, smoked caramel sauce and the BEST, SQUISHIEST AND FLUFFIEST homemade marshmallows ever. Again, I wanted more of the smoked caramel sauce! I'd definitely order that classic again and again. With that said, the Vietnamese Coffee Panna Cotta was no runner up. It was like nothing I'd ever tasted. If you like different textures that unite to form something fantastic, I'd highly recommend going for this treat! + Ambiance Woodie Fisher is actually located in Hose House No. 1. The historic and iconic first ever fire station in Denver! It's a super open, cool and comfortable set up with industrial vibes. We actually went on their comedy night so every table was in use, and even with a packed house, I did not feel crowded at all. + Service The service is absolutely top-notch. Our server was Dallas, who may honestly be one of the best servers I've ever had at a restaurant. He was attentive, personable, and thoughtful. His knowledge of the menu led us all to the amazing meal we had! + Parking They complimentary valet parking for guests through the Hilton Garden next door! For me, this is SUCH A BONUS because I don't have to worry about finding a tight parking spot or paying a meter. Sign me up for regular dinners here!

Yelp
I went in tonight around 4:30pm with my friend and my dog and we had such a fantastic time. The service was outstanding and everyone loved Riley (my dog). The mocktail we were delicious. We ordered the burrata and the summer salad off the hh menu and were happy with both. The star of the night was the gnocchi. The flavors were perfect and was an amazing summer night dish. I will be coming back next week to take a friend so she can try this amazing dish. My boyfriend and I will also be coming back soon so he can try it too. It was that outstanding. Thanks guys.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday with a last-minute reservation (perhaps a cancelation?) and boy did we hit the jackpot! Unbeknownst to us it was restaurant week which meant we got an app, an entrée, and a dessert for $45. The apps were good. We got the lavender sourdough, which only had a hint of lavender, the tuna tartare- the crowd favorite and the crispy potatoes with king crab aoli. The potatoes were very seasoned and I didn't love them on their own, but the king crab aoli really made them a hit for me. We had Icelandic cod (with and without the sausage) and the burger. My partner loved his burger and I loved the cod without sausage and was extra pleased that they could serve it sans sausage as I am pescatarian. My mom said she actually would have preferred her cod without sausage because it was overpowering the dish with its saltiness and the cod was definitely salty enough on its own. The drinks were delicious- I only had the smoke jumper and a few sips of my mom's blackberry bramble. Both were excellent and I imagine you can't go wrong there in the cocktail department. Okay, let's talk about the dessert. Sadly, the biggest miss of the night was the "tiramisu." I should have known as soon as I saw it in quotes to be wary. I thought the banana flavored mascarpone would be my biggest problem, but surprisingly, the banana flavor was quite mild. The unsoaked lady fingers on the other hand, I simply couldn't get past. It made the whole thing feel like a cheap cookie with weird frosting on top. We looked over at the table next to us and they too appeared to be unimpressed with this dessert. The brownie/ice cream was pretty good and the apple cobbler was fine too, but I think when I go again and it's not a prefixed menu I'll skip the dessert and maybe have another cocktail! The only other thing to note was we were under a light that would all of a sudden get really bright and then go back dim. It wasn't terrible, just a little jarring and odd. The service was great. Super friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back. Oh and there was live music too, which was excellent!

Yelp
My fiancé and I live right across the street and when we first moved in we were always curious. We never made it in pre-pandemic. But one day we wanted brunch and didn't really want to go far so Woodie Fisher it was. We started off with a mimosa and the elderflower rosé spritzer. We both enjoyed our cocktails. As for the entrees, we knew we would be sharing so we decided on Alaskan King Crab Benedict. And omg!! It was soooo good. Literally would come back for the Benedict. It melts in your mouth and I definitely enjoyed it. The French toast was also delicious but I don't know if it was my favorite. We will definitely be back. I want to try their other food items. I mean we do live across the street so it's super convenient.
