"Some of the city’s best Chinese food can be found in a Kenny Centre strip mall at Xi Xia. The restaurant’s specialty is its chewy noodles that are painstakingly made by hand. You’ll find them in their excellent signature dish: stirred noodles with supple pieces of beef shank, bok choy, and a kick of chili oil. The springy strands also show up in soup dishes of rich, slow-cooked bone broth that’s a solid hangover cure. Don’t miss the wonderfully gelatinous spicy chicken feet, the excellent lamb rice pilaf, or the salt-and-pepper chicken that’s an excellent takeout order for the family." - erin edwards, kindra peach

Wonderful dishes to choose from with a wide variety. You order on your phone and don’t have to worry about talking with anyone. Small place so it can fill up fast but definitely worth it. Authentic foods with great proportions. Highly recommend for their hand pulled noodles which are amazing.

If you love authentic Chinese noodle dish (among other thing) you must try this place! The handmade noodles are chewy with great texture and the broth has great taste. Me and husbands tried just about everything (expect the “American style dish) on the menu and never disappointed! The salt and pepper chicken is one of the best, the spicy beef stew noodle is better than my mom’s (sorry mom 😅). Stewed pork over rice tastes just like what I used to have on the street back home when I was a kid. The people - so friendly and attentive, always take extra steps to make sure your order is correct (you order from ur phone) and everything comes out perfect. This is one of my regular Chinese fix joint

We went here twice. The first time was a weekend late afternoon. We were the only ones there at that time. The server told us about the scanning the QR code for the menu and was super attentive. We ordered the pork rice bowl and the spicy beef noodle soup. The pork rice bowl was similar to Lu Roy Fan (Taiwanese Braised Pork Bowl) but of course a little different since I don’t think it’s supposed to be the same exact thing. It was perfectly savory and sweet. The meat was tender and the sauce was excellent with rice. The beef noodle soup was perfectly spiced. The beef was tender. The noodles were a perfect texture. The second time we went was on a Saturday around lunch, about 30 minutes after they opened. We were able to get seated. But within 10 minutes, all but one table was filled. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, Xi Xia stirred noodles, and the spicy beef noodle soup again. Once again, the spicy beef noodle soup was excellent, all the same comments as our first time. The Xi Xia Stirred Noodles had a sauce on the bottom and it was topped with spices. You stir it together. This has a little bit of a spice, but not as much as the soup. The sauce was a soy sauce base with oil and flavorful garlic and other spices/herbs. It was ever so slightly salty for me, but I tend to like a little less salt. The salt and pepper chicken wasn’t too salty nor too peppery. But it was just enough seasoning to add flavor, but not so much that it would cover the chicken taste. The chicken was excellently fried. Crisp, but not cut your mouth hard. The meat was also very tender. We had a different server this second time, but they were still very attentive. Though the tables filled it fast, the service was also very fast and the food came out even faster! This restaurant was ran super efficiently. Throughout the 30-45 minutes we there there, multiple tables were seated from start to finish while still keeping up with take out orders.

Been here so many times and I’ve never been disappointed. Service is quick and food always tastes great. I usually get the beef stirred noodles. Their noodle soup is great too!

Google
The broth is delicious, I wish there was a wider selection on the menu. I like the staff, orders come quick and fresh. The ordering style there is really modern and a nice touch as well. I think the restaurant is kinda small and it doesn't make patrons want to stay for a while to dine.

Google
Xi Xia could be the best noodle in the town. I mean the noodle itself and I really like their noodle’s texture and taste. Highly recommend the stirred noodle. It came with great combinations of garlic, soy sauce, oil and marinated beef slices. Other noodle entrees are also great with authentic and delicious taste. I could buy the raw noodles if they would like to sell them.

The first time I came here I ate all the noodles before I took a picture. So good. I've only tried the stir noodles so far but those by themselves are good enough to keep coming back here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to order. Just order on your phone and they bring it out to you.

Google
Wonderful, attentive service. The food was amazing! Boiled fish was a flavorful bowl of fire. Got the sesame balls and chicken feet and they were both some of the best I've ever had.

Yelp
Xi Xia is a staple in my house. Every time we travel, this is our first meal when we return home. Have guests and want to impress them? Take them to Xi Xia!! I stopped by after a dreary trip to the BMV, and my meal saved my soul. The service is always so fast and kind! A staff never will seat you but then you order and pay through a QR code. All parties at the table are able to order on the same QR code and pay separately at the end. The restaurant itself is always clean and cozy. With beautiful music playing. What I got on 04Mar2025: XiXia stirred noodles, with wide noodles. This comes with beef, which I keep, but then I also add lamb for another layer of flavor! This dish is a salty, spicy, savory, and subtly sweet delicacy. Nice chunks of chili and crushed garlic. Will awaken the senses! Salt and pepper fried chicken. The best crispy fried chicken bites you will have have. Served with a sweet/sour dipping sauce. I washed this meal down with a can of Walovi herbal drink. This is the better version of sweet tea and sooo perfect to drink while eats spicy and salty foods.

Yelp
Loved the location because of all the other awesome Asian eateries around, not to mention the whole of Little Japan all connected. Portions were generous and can definitely last up to 2 full meals with the noodle dishes. Their appetizers like the Taiwanese sausage on sticks and Taiwanese popcorn chicken were the bees' knees. Prices are on the higher side but this is probably due to the noodles being hand pulled and made fresh to order. I love that you can pick between the widths of noodles. I had the "thin" which were actually quite thick already but vow to try their thicc ones which just looked flatter and chewier. Mmmmm... I will say that their menu is jam packed and big that I experienced analysis paralysis and food FOMO. I do not like that you had to use a QR code to view, order and pay all from your phone. It makes having bigger parties trying to pay separately very difficult and annoying. Scrolling constantly through this giant menu via a small cellphone screen was also not the best experience for first-timers here. It's a small, cramped space and the bathrooms for no reason at all were basically 100F degrees. Waves of hot air pumped through the tiny space, almost leaving me unconscious. The seating area was kind of stuffy and hot as well but the bathrooms were insanely intolerable. Please turn down the heat in there and save on your energy bills, for glob's sake! Service was pretty quick and the presentation of the dishes matched their pictures. Every dish looked very appetizing.

Yelp
This restaurant with Chinese cuisine is one of the many Asian restaurants in the Kenny Centre Mall. Normally my wife and I go to Tensuke Express, which is one of my go to ramen places. We decided to give Xi Xia a try, and boy were we glad. The looks of restaurant itself is nothing great, but it looked clean. There was only around eight tables, so it's pretty small. Judging by the steady stream of Door Dash and Uber Eats drivers coming in, they do a ton of carryout. The woman waiting on tables was very friendly and instructed us to scan the QR code on the napkins holder to order. They also had a kiosk near the front door, where people could put in their orders. We ordered, and although we weren't in a big rush, it was nice that the food came out of the kitchen fairly quick. We first got two spring rolls, which you could tell were made from scratch. All the food had made from scratch quality and freshness. I got the spicy beef and noodles, which was exactly what I needed. It was a thirty degree day, and this dish was comforting with it's spicy heat. My wife got the same dish, but pork instead of beef. So good, and the noodles! You could tell that the noodles had been pulled on that day. Very fresh. Overall, if you are feeling a little down in the dumps because the Winter weather is getting to you, this place is the remedy. Go and buy a large bowl of comfort and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The food was ready very quickly, and stayed hot until I got home. I got the soup noodles with lamb and added bok Choi for veggies, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a spice wimp, so I didn't get the chili oil, but the broth was decently seasoned, the lamb was tender, and the wide noodles are delightfully chewy. This place is definitely going on the "I need soup" list.

Rebeka S.

Yelp
This place is soooo yummy!!! It's a cute small casual restaurant but with plenty of seating. Located in the Kenny center shopping area with all your other Asian cafes, shops, and markets... such a convenient location! The food was mouthwatering and delicious. The noodles are always cooked to the perfect texture (soft & chewy, but never overcooked!). The house chili oil compliments the Xi Xia stirred noodles so well and especially with the tender slices of beef! I'm already drooling just recalling how amazing this meal was. If you love garlic, then this dish is for you because the garlic in this dry noodle dish compliments it so well, especially with the spice from the chili oil! Service here is exceptional. The server went above and beyond for my friend and I as he constantly checked in and was very attentive to make sure we enjoyed our meals. He did great at explaining the uniqueness of every dish on the menu, so now I have to go back and try it because his first recommendation already blew me away!

Briana S.

Yelp
I went here last weekend with two friends because we saw another friend went a couple days before because it looked so good and it lived up to our expectations! We walked in and could sit wherever we wanted. The menu was online so we scanned it and it could add whatever we wanted whenever we wanted so the service was super speedy. I got the stirred noodles and it was just amazing. I could taste the garlic and sauce and it just all went together well with the beef and noodles. The inside of the restaurant was open and clean. I will say I had to brush my teeth a couple times to get rid of the garlic breath but that's how you know you had a great meal. It was easy splitting the bill because it was online. I'll definitely be back!!!

Megan M.

Yelp
What a great find. Fast service, excellent food and quiet atmosphere. The noodles were delicious!

Aubrey L.

Yelp
I just came here with my boyfriend last night because I was craving some noodle soup. My mom comes here often and raves about this restaurant so I figured it would try it. I ordered the Dapanji stirred noodles with bone in chicken thighs. Wow was that amazing. They make their noodles by hand and you have the option of choosing wide or thin noodles. It was perfectly spicy, you can enjoy the meal while still feeling some heat. My boyfriend got the fried rice which was good but it's just fried rice. We also ordered egg rolls which were very yummy. I will 1000% be back soon to enjoy more of their noodles

Erin T.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time. You scan a QR Code to view the menu and order through your phone. We ordered the following: 2 Spring Rolls Salt & Pepper Chicken Singapore Style Fried Rice Noodles adding side of Bok Choy House Fried Rice I received the Singapore noodles, which had so much curry, you could see little powder balls that was not absorbed. It was too overpowering and very dry. Next we received the Salt & Pepper Chicken. It was soft from not being cooked long enough and very bland. Then we received the House Fried Rice which was pretty good. Then I am brought out my side of Bok Choy approximately 20 mins AFTER I received the Singapore noodles. It was cold. Last we were brought our Spring Rolls, which were hot but the inside was very mushy and bland. I brought home the rest of noodles, bok choy, and salt and pepper chicken. I cooked them and added a few extras to make them palatable.

Ben M.

Yelp
Recently tried this place and was slightly disappointed. While the flavor of the chicken was pretty good, I was disappointed it had not vegetables. Also, I opted for fried rice instead of regular white ($2) up charge and what I got was nothing like what fried rice should be. It was just yellow rice. Again, no please or carrots and missing any flavor whatsoever.

Yelp
Stopped by here today for lunch and had a great experience! You kind of seat yourself and then scan the QR code on the napkin holders. You place your order on your phone and then the food is brought to your table. When you're done eating you pay on your phone and it's all a very simple process. The online menu also has great detail about what's in each dish and they have cute illustrations for each one so you have an idea of what to expect. I had the chicken fried noodles and they were AMAZING! The chicken was tender (possibly velveted), a good amount of fresh snap peas and broccoli, and a generous portion of their wide hand pulled noodles. All stir fried together with a nice soy sauce based sauce. I absolutely loved this dish and would love to have it again! Overall was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

Jacob L.

Yelp
Was in Columbus for the weekend and stopped here. Great food, great service and value. Stirred noodles are amazing. Salt and pepper chicken is crispy and well seasoned. The Dan Dan noodles are spicy but not over the top. Food came out fast and hot. Highly recommend

Ness S.

Yelp
The name is the same. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed but the restaurant is now more of a sichuan style restaurant than it's original roots (I had heard that in between it had become a noodle place). The bone broth vermicelli is excellent as is the spicy beef stew. I also liked their Dan Dan noodles and their Chinese broccoli. Overall, excellent flavors!

Monica K.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in Kenny center mall. There's always plenty if parking. We got spicy beef stew noodle with thin noodles (you can choose between thin and wide). It was hot, flavorful and just right amount of spicy. Noodles tasted fresh, although not as chewy as I normally like it. We also got stir fried noodle with beef (with wide noodle option). Also very flavorful, beef was tender, I would 100% order this again! You order on your phone and also have the option to pay on it as well which was convenient. Very quick service. Would definitely come back to try more things on their menu :)

Brenda C.

Yelp
The noodles are amazing! It was the perfect amount of spice and super flavorful as well! I loved the texture of the noodles and how fresh they were. Ordering was easy through the QR code and we were able to seat ourselves. You get a lot so save your stomach for a delicious meal! We will definitely be back!

Arlene A.

Yelp
Such a delicious, enjoyable lunch! I got the Beef Broth vermicelli soup (no spice) and my husband got vermicelli with shrimp (mild spice). We both ordered extra baby bok choy, and the extra vegetables did a nice job of rounding out the meals. Excellent service (friendly, helpful and unobtrusive), clean restrooms, nice decor, lots of sun, and good music (not loud, good for conversation).

Yelp
If I could give 6/5 stars, I would. I had a great time at Xi Xia this past weekend. We came at peak lunchtime on Saturday and were seated right away. You just scan the menu with a QR code on the table and everyone in your party can order on the same account using their own phones. Their menu has plenty of food so you will find something that you like, but I don't think you can go wrong because all of the dishes we ordered were delicious. I saw the food on other people's tables and it looked very good too. I have a nut allergy and after we ordered, the owner came out to confirm the online order and assured us that they would make sure the food was safe. You can also adjust the spice level so if you don't like spicy, don't worry. We got the fish with sour pickled noodles, spicy intestines noodles, xi xia lamb noodles, and xi xia stirred noodles. 15/10 would recommend. The portions are large and the flavors are just so well crafted. We didn't have any leftovers but our stomachs were at full capacity. I will definitely be coming back.

Johann M.

Yelp
Do you have plans this coming weekend? Well cancel those plans and come to Xi Xia, believe me, you won't regret it. This is a cool, innovative and friendly restaurant that might blow your mind and taste buds. The attention is incredible, Daniel gives a detailed description of the dishes and gives you his recommendations, and if you coming here for the first time, just listen to him, he's gonna be right, he is such a cool dude. You can feel this restaurant is family owned and they put an enormous effort in make you feel welcome. I wish I remember the name of the dishes we had but look at the pictures, they look delicious and taste delicious. Great ambiance, awesome food and spectacular service; what else can you ask?

Kevin D.

Yelp
Food was tasty. Workers were friendly. Small but clean restaurant. I would recommend.

Binnan O.

Yelp
I grew up eating authentic Chinese food in San Diego and LA and have been to China multiple times so believe me when I say Xixia's noodles holds its own among the best hand pulled noodle places I've had. The attention to texture and flavors is just absolutely amazing. If this is your first time, there is an ordering kiosk by the entrance for take-out only but you can absolutely dine-in and scan the QR code on the napkin box to pull up the menu and order. Food comes at various times but noodles are generally very fast with fried foods coming out slower. My wife LOVES their Xixia stirred noodles which is a simple dish of noodles with soy and garlic but it's mind-blowingly complex when you actually taste it. We spoke with the chef and they had to source their preferred soy sauce from China because they couldn't find a supplier locally. They then add their own secret seasonings to the soy and top it with a splash of their house-made chili oil and a healthy amount of fresh garlic. The dish tastes light and clean with savoriness and saltiness being extremely well-balanced. My warning for this dish is that it only comes with four slices of beef, it's enough to add beefy flavor to maybe every other bite but the star of the dish is the noodles and not the protein. I could see Americans, who are generally very meat-centric, being disappointed if they didn't know this. My personal favorite is the spicy beef noodle which comes in a rich and complex bone broth they start preparing the night before. The chilis they add lend some smokiness and a solid (but not excessive) amount of heat. The morsels of shredded beef are tender and well portioned to the amount of noodles. I'd recommend the thick cut noodles for this fish as they're chewier than the thin ones and add a nice textural element. We've had the Dan Dan noodles which are peanut-y and have that wonderful Sichuan peppercorn numbing effect that'll leave your tongue slightly buzzing. It could use a touch more spiciness in my opinion but I'm admittedly a nut for spicy things. The salt and pepper fried chicken is pretty mild with a simple ground rice breading but the brined chicken thigh chunks come out SOO TENDER it's still worth getting. They serve it with their sweet & sour sauce which thankfully is not cloyingly sweet like other places. The egg rolls are the thicker wonton wrapper style egg rolls (as opposed to the thinner paper-like ones). They do use quality ingredients in their egg rolls and they're fried fresh and not just reheated. Overall I'd say Columbus is blessed to have such an authentic Chinese noodle restaurant. Xixia clearly cares about its ingredients, processes, and takes a very gourmet approach to each and every one of its dishes. It is a completely different experience from the typical Chinese-American take out experience the Midwest is used to. If you've never had authentic hand pulled noodles you absolutely must give this place a try!

Sy S.

Yelp
Accidentally found this restaurant and wished we live closer. Great Taiwanese cuisine with great service. My pork belly rice was delicious and husband's noodles was really good.

Edward P.

Yelp
Great noodle dishes. Excellent spice levels. Friendly, fast service. QR code menus at each table.

Rachel N.

Yelp
Great Chinese noodle place. Owners are very nice and will remember you if you come back. The noodles are very well made and there is an option to make it more or less spicy. We come back at least monthly for their stirred noodle dish. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Restaurant has plenty of seating but still doesn't get too loud which is nice.

Gwen W.

Yelp
Homemade Egg roll was good. I didn't catch anything spectacular in the flavor department, but a solid choice nonetheless, and I'd happily get that appetizer again if there's a group consensus. The pork sausage was very surprising: Sweet undertones that I wasn't expecting at all. I was planning for a savory meets salty getup; I'd definitely recommend this for your extra protein fix. For my main I tried their Curry Chicken. Savory heat that warmed my mouth and still left all the flavor. As always, my food experiences are very little based on ambience. Put your food where your mouth is, that's my take. Serving lunch to a solid crown of locals while we ate, this place's food is worth the trip.

Katie S.

Yelp
We recently moved from California where we had so many authentic Chinese food options. Xi Xia has my all-time favorite very common home-cooked Chinese dish -- noodles with tomato and egg. It's kind of like the mac&cheese of Chinese food. If a restaurant has it, they're bringing in Chinese diners who want a rendition of a comfort meal. They do a terrific version and you can customize whether it's made salty or sweet and the style of noodle. Highly recommend and I'm bringing my older daughter in a couple of weeks when she visits for the holidays. She spent a year in Taiwan, so she'll have opinions!

Croix H.

Yelp
Used to love coming here. Honestly some of the best Chinese food in columbus when it first opened. Unfortunately in the last year the quality and portion sizing hasn't been consistent. But for 50 dollars each time we order it isn't worth the gamble.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and has a good ambiance. Service was great. And the food is legit, delicious, definitely some of the best Chinese food you can find in the city, and they serve stuff that's hard to find elsewhere. We really are lucky that good food like this exists in Columbus of all places

Terrence C.

Yelp
My partner and I are looking for authentic Chinese food while visiting Columbus. We are quite pleasantly surprised by the restaurants. The restaurant is pretty small, but we got seated immediately after walking in. You can order the dishes from the tablet on the table. The servers are friendly and efficient. We got a family-style noodle and salt and pepper chicken. Both are excellent.

Angela L.

Yelp
The word obsession doesn't even begin to cover how much I love Xi Xia. For me, it feels like home away from home. The dish that pulls me back is the very simple tomato egg with wide noodles and the sweet sauce. The noodles are deliciously chewy and are coated with that sweet sticky tomato sauce that is just so slurpable. Honestly everything here is delicious.

Doug S.

Yelp
I am not a big fan of their table side ordering on your telephone. But the food is absolutely amazing! This is not your typical Chinese food. This is authentic, real deal, genuine Chinese food! If you haven't tried it, you owe it to yourself to see what real Chinese food tastes like!

Joseph G.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Everything was good. Probably some of the best Chinese in Columbus.

Wing Yan K.

Yelp
I haven't been here for awhile and I think they had been change ownership since then. The interior also get remodeled and look more bright and clean. They have a QR code at the table that you can scan for the menu and you will be ordering through that as well. I like that majority of them have picture for reference. The Bone Broth Vermicelli have a hint of heat and topped with varies of toppings [Beef shank, egg, bok choy, peanut and pickled vegetables]. And the Salt & Pepper Chicken is decent as well. It is crispy and still juicy inside.

Brenna L.

Yelp
Awesome noodles! Every time I'm in town I make sure to visit. I usually get the beef and thin noodles. The salt and pepper chicken are a must try too, breading is very crispy, enough for two-three to share for an appetizer.

Ruta P.

Yelp
Wow! So much more than expected. My daughter is the self proclaimed "noodleologist" and she is always talking about hand pulled noodles. Omg! These were soooooo good. The texture sublime, the flavor was subtle but got better with every bite. The salt and pepper chicken was delicious and crispy paired perfectly with homemade sweet and sour sauce. The house made peanuts were so unexpectedly crispy and hadj an umami about them. However, the main server/host/all in front of knowledge made this good and experience exceptional. He explained everything, directed us, gave us options and we left so happy and full. Cannot wait to go back!

Elena S.

Yelp
I came with my friend and had such a good experience here! The food was amazing, we both tried Xi Xia beef wide noodles. The owner explained all the top selling dishes, and how they hand make their own noodles, broth, and chili sauce. He also asked what we liked and don't like to make sure our food would be something we enjoyed. Our order was really great - the garlic, oil, and chili sauce is a delicious combination! The handmade noodles were so tasty too, like eating dumplings. You can tell how much the food means to the owner, and how much effort is put into making the dishes. There was a regular customer there too, who comes every day for the food. He and the owner had a good relationship, and the owner treated everyone in the restaurant warmly. I thought every aspect of this place was wonderful, and would highly recommend others to visit!

Jeff L.

Yelp
Updating this to a five. This is a fun place to eat - I finally had a chance to dine-in. And I indulged and got the pistol chicken leg rice, which is a generous serving of fried chicken with a token amount of rice, egg and broccoli. Not at all healthy, but that is not the point! Manager was very nice and friendly too. The only thing is that in person, you order through your phone, which took me some time to figure out.

Noa M.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and were seated immediately. I imagine it could be very crowded on a weekend or evening because this place is delightful. The food is authentic and hearty, and has enough for left overs. I got the stirred noodles with wide noodles -- that are hand pulled! The dish had a nice balance of garlic, spice and additional umami flavor. Additionally, the owner was quite friendly with all the patrons, making for a warm environment. I can't believe I've never been here, as it's in the lovely Japan Marketplace -- so we'll certainly be back!

Paul C.

Yelp
Honestly really disappointing, given my previous experiences had been better several years ago. Got their spicy beef noodle soup and it was extremely underwhelming: the broth was spicy but kind of one-note, the noodles weren't very springy or chewy and the beef in the broth was rubbery. The service wasn't awful but also not awesome. When I was having trouble pulling up the menu via QR code, I was told to "get a new phone." The ambiance was fine, I'd been here before. The only reason I'm not offering a lower review is because the couple times I was here several years ago everything was excellent. Hoping this was just a single bad experience and not representative of how the restaurant generally is now.

Yelp
This place is so amazing!! I'm so happy I found Xi Xia in Columbus. They make legit hand pulled noodles, and they make their broth the day before and you can definitely tell! Their beef noodle soup is soo good! I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place for awhile and glad I finally did. Immediately warmly greeting and got a rundown of the menu and popular dishes since it was my first time. Was told that they specialize in noodle dishes and got the dry hotpot, dapanji noodles, and the salt and pepper chicken. The dry hotpot had that really nice smoky wok flavor with a nice numbness from some sichuan peppers. The Dapanji had a bunch of toppings and the texture noodles (we got the wide ones) were great. The salt and pepper chicken was above average. We actually dipped it in the dapanji sauce and were surprised at how good a sauce delivery vehicle it was.

Yelp
Simply amazing! great food and awesome service ... not to mention that their technology is awesome as well ... It's a cozy location with authentic asian music , everything looks clean and neat so nothing to complain here. I will come back .... a lot !

Yelp
If it was based on the service and broth bowl alone I would say 5 stars, but a couple things that brought it down slightly. Prices overall were very reasonable for almost everything. Broth bowls are standard size and I would say similarly priced or even a little cheaper than other places. I got the hot and sour thin vermicelli. Our waiter was super cool and warned me it's very spicy. I have a pretty high spice tolerance and thought it was great. Ate the whole bowl. The salt and pepper chicken appetizer was maybe a little bland. Basically just fried chicken pieces. Not bad but wouldn't write home about it. We tried the chicken feet for fun. I definitely would not recommend this. Which is cool because the waiter really didn't recommend it either. I guess I expected it to be prepared hot and be fried or crispy. But it was prepped cold and in a decent tasting sauce but not crispy. I've never been a texture person but I just couldn't handle it. Overall nice setting, fairly quiet. Good service and prices so would recommend

Yelp
Woah. Simply incredible. Like some of the tastiest food I've had in recent memory. It's located in the Kenny Centre plaza nearby favorites like Kung Fu Tea and Belle's Bakery. Based upon the scents upon first walking in and the numerous takeout orders when we first sat down, we were in for a treat. Well decorated and clean, the music medley of Guns N' roses and Chinese pop tunes was an interesting mix hehe. Service was very attentive and kind, with the servers making recommendations plus ensuring our drinks were always full. My sister and I went family style on two dishes: the signature stir fried noodles and the Szechuan fish. Noodles: insanely flavorful and chewy. Loved the beef, garlic, and soy sauce. Fish: fresh with the signature numbing spice. Well complimented by bean curds, tofu, and black fungus. Wonderful experience overall. Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Love this noodle place!! I've been a few times and everytime I go I try something new. Everything has been a hit so far. The owner is really friendly and will gladly explain anything on the menu, and we'll learn something new too! It's a cozy restaurant with cool art, and I always see a lot of the international students eating here and chatting like their regulars-- that's a green flag for finding good Chinese food!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place tonight (11/17) and I'm SO glad we did! The staff was very welcoming.. I believe our interaction was with the owner who explained the menu in detail and recommended appropriately! We got the fish with picked broth and the xi xia noodles with fried tofu - both of which were delicious (the fish was out winner tho)!! The place is small but cozy and inviting! Would I recommend/ return? Absolutely!!

Yelp
The owner/manager is very nice and accommodating-one of the best things about this restaurant. The spicy beef noodles was amazing! However, we were mildly disappointed when we went there after seeing all the yummy pictures based on yelp. The menu is not as extensive. Maybe there was a change of management but there were not a lot of dishes we expected to be there. It was mostly a noodle place with the lamb and beef noodles being the most popular. The lamb wasn't for me, although the manager said it's one of the most ordered. Maybe there's some people who prefer a strong lamb taste in the soup.

Yelp
Found this excellent place today for the first time. The owner improvised and made a gluten free dish on the spot. Truly an owner who knows how to host. Bravo Zulu
