Walking past Zeppolw Bakery, we were immediately drawn in by the beautiful display of pastries in the window — each one a work of art. The place itself is charming and cozy, with an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We tried the green rolled pistachio pastry, and it did not disappoint. It was generously filled with rich, tasty cream, and the pastry itself was perfectly flaky and delicious. A real treat for anyone who loves pistachio! Highly recommend stopping by

Google
5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The custard bombolone was deliciousness! I typically don’t like custard but this was the right texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The dough was soft a tad bit chewy which makes this perfect. 2. Quantity appears to be a lot for what you pay 3. Price isn’t bad for what you get 4. Staff is super nice 5. This place variety of things! Perfect place to come for brunch or late night if you’re craving something sweet.

Google
Such a lovely bakery! The staff were very friendly and the service was extremely quick. The pastries were phenomenal and I had to go back the next day and try more. As someone with a MAJOR sweet tooth, this truly hit the spot (if you are a chocolate fan, the Nutella pastries are the perfect fix!). Don’t hesitate to try this bakery out on your visit!

Must visit for anyone who love legit pastries. Fresh baked donuts, cozy ambiance was perfect for a quick lunch break. And special shoutout to Mr.Rafi who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. He was kind, knowledgeable, helping us choose the best items. You can really tell he cares about customer experience. Highly recommend!

Zeppola Bakery is one of my family’s favorite bakery in NYC. Every time I take it home, it feels like a little celebration—whether it’s for the perfectly flaky croissants, the indulgent bomboloni filled with pistachio or hazelnut cream, or their gorgeous pastries that look like they came straight from an Italian pastry dream. The flavors are rich and satisfying (yes, some treats are definitely on the sweeter side, but that’s part of the charm). You can tell everything is made with care and attention to detail. The shop itself is cozy and beautifully designed, with friendly staff and a warm vibe that makes you want to linger.

If you’re looking for a great egg, sausage, or bacon and cheese sandwich, this is the place to go. The sandwich is amazing, fresh and flavorful! I also ordered a pistachio pastry (not sure of the exact name) ohhh my God, I could eat that every day! Hahaha I didn’t really like the coffee, but the food was so good that my husband and I fell in love with this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place!

Google
I got a vanilla custard bombolone while my friend got a fruit and custard pastry. Unfortunately, the custards were quite heavy and didn't taste of vanilla at all. The donut bread was much denser than I prefer, and the fruit pastry was stale and tough. Neither had a nice pull-apart texture, and the fruit pastry should have been flaky but wasn't. Sadly, we were let down by these pastries. However, they weren't outright bad, just mediocre, and the staff were very friendly. The bakery is also open very late compared to many other places. Personally, I think there is much better to be found in Manhattan, but it's not terrible, and the staff were lovely.

Google
One of my favourite dessert places in New York. They have unique items and most of them can be shared by two. Not sure about their savory items, honestly they didn't look that appealing. But if you're looking for a dessert shop then you should definitely visit here. I personally recommend the cube croissant with pistachio and Cream

Yelp
We were walking by and decided to buy a foccia sandwich. It was prosciutto and mozzarella. They warmed it and wow. Was fantastic. They had lots of pastries on the window so we decided we'd stop on our way home and get some. We got the mango round croissant. 15/10. This was amazing. Best croissant I've ever had and I've had quite a few. We also got the raspberry croissant. 12/10. 2nd best croissant I've ever had. If you're in the area. Don't pass this place by!! Stop and have something. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Cool little Italian bakery with beautiful desserts! Wow! I was waiting for my socks to fly off my feet (spoiler alert: they did not.) We ordered the pistachio crème filled donut with a tiramisu latte There was a lil snaffu with our latte--we wanted it and asked for it hot but it was entered as an iced so we just took it. Wasn't a big deal. Also they denied our request to have the donut heated a little which in my opinion would have taken this donut from okay to oooookay! So it was just okay. It was a good recommendation, though. Staff was happy and helpful. Latte was a latte. The tiramisu cream didn't add much at all even after I stirred it in. It was worth a try, but not with the hype. Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

Yelp
The large, fluffy donuts and round croissants drew the attention of those walking by (including me). Thankfully, the line moved fast. This bakery looks modern and sleek, and they also serve unique drinks. I made the mistake of taking this donut home and eating it the next morning instead of the day of, only to find the donut went stale -- my own fault. (My friend who ate his donut the day of said it was really good.) I microwaved my donut for a few seconds, which made it warm and soft. They sell larger-than-normal donuts, so you get a really satisfying bite. Paired with the crushed pistachio and chocolate on opposite sides, it's like you get a taste of two different flavors.

Yelp
Forgot to take a picture before I dug in but this pistachio donut was the best donut I've ever had. I love that the outside has a sugary coating for texture and the inside pistachio cream is natural and rich. I will 100% come back to try more

Yelp
The strawberry cake was so good! It had a great amount of strawberry chunks and delightful whipped cream. I also tried a bit of the cannoli and a donut with custard filling, both were also tasty! The cannoli had really great crunch to it and wasn't soggy. We came here around 11 PM and there was no line. The staff working were kind and answered all our questions about the donuts and fillings. The inside is very cute and cozy looking!

Yelp
My favorite stop in New York. Stopped a few times after seeing someone licking her tasty treat on the way out the door. Took a Lobster to Central Park for a picnic lunch. Good to th last bite.

Yelp
Cute little place with seating in the back. Great espresso, and the desserts speak for themselves. They were outstanding. They will heat them up if you like. I had the chocolate croissant, and it had the right amount of chocolate and was very flakey. They even have some gluten-free options if that is your preference. Service was very quick and actually delivered it to my table. They also have a restroom for customers.

Yelp
I was headed to a business meeting and of course you never visit someone's office without bringing something. So passed by Zeppola and was quite impressed . A plethora of evil baked goods which would make the strongest dieter cry . Service was super friendly and I was on my way . The goods were exceptional and it is safe to say I made a "sweet" impression - great place !!
google avatar

Jeff D.

Yelp
Nice looking pastries. The staff was very nice. There's dining in and outside areas which helps with the vibe. Flavor and quality wise I was not thrilled. Probably was expecting better flavors and pastry textures, but then again I had just had a big dinner so wasn't that hungry.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointing review. I admit I'm an Instagram girlie who live for pretty looking food, but I can never accept when aesthetics overpowers taste. I was completely deceived by the picture-perfect baked goods at Zeppola. The pastries here were AWFUL. I was craving for some sweets to boost my mood but unfortunately left unsatisfied. * Pistachio Cruffin The pastry was very stale and old, not to mention its lack of flakiness. Yes it was fully loaded with pistachio custard, but the texture was extremely sticky and chunky. I didn't enjoy eating it at all and gave up finishing it halfway through. * Apricot Bomboloni Sickly sugary apricot jam. My mouth was overwhelmed with sweetness which made me nauseous. Words can hardly describe how angry I was to fork over pastries that were far below average. ***15% off if you check in on Yelp. Thanks god I found this discount so I felt slightly better lol
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
really good pastry items, especially the croissants. The roly one is really good, crunchy and fluffy inside. The bomboloni is also amazing, very airy and tasty
google avatar

Yelp
Rarely when I am in Midtown does a place stop me in my tracks with delicious looking food in the window but when I saw those delicious Bomboloni sitting there I knew I needed one in my life. I was not wrong - these light, airy, plump donuts were filled with just the right amount of pistachio cream. The pistachio cream had the consistency of nutella so perhaps it was made similarly but with pistachio. I don't know, but this was damn good. Unfortunately I was too full to try the delicious looking assortment of baked goods and sandwiches, but everything looked like quality stuff. I am all on board with this elevated Italian bakery trend I am seeing in NYC lately. For my Queens friends I will compare this place to Tutto Calcio in Whitestone, which also pumps out an incredible assortment of high quality baked goods, pizza, sandwiches, etc.. If you find yourself hungry in high priced midtown then give this place a go - I think you will find it is worth the money!

Lisa W.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and desserts. Tried the chocolate croissants and gluten free chocolate cake. Highly recommend trying when in NYC.

Robert A.

Yelp
Picked up a donut and cheese slice at around 10 pm on a weekday. Donut was already stale, and was not light and fluffy. Cream did not do much to make this better. Cheese slice was very thick - could be thinner. Overpriced for what we received.

Yelp
Always an a+ experience. Have tried numerous sandwiches and pastries and honestly every single one has hit the spot. Especially the cream filled donuts. Can't wait to keep Trying rest of the menu..
google avatar

Yelp
Very Instagrammy pastries here for sure, for sure.....but based on the custard-filled croissant that I had I don't know if there is more to them than appearance. Bland and very tough croissant. Custard was nothing to write home about. At least the berries on top were plump-ripe. Overall a bit pricy for what it is. As for drinks, I did quite like the pistachio latte; first time trying such a thing and now I'm wondering why it's not a common menu item at cafes in general. Pleasant flavor combo of pistachio and steamed milk! London fog had too subtle of an Earl Grey tea taste. I mean, this bakery remarkably closes really late and is in the Times Square area so I can see why people adore this place as a convenient and quick spot for food and drinks.
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
This bakery felt pretentious. Nice, but pretentious. The rolled croissant was delicious with custard inside. It was so good that I ate the whole thing without sharing with my eating partner. It was a little over $8. The pistachio latte was advertised as the specialty. They took 10 years to make, and it came out too sweet. I sipped a quarter of the drink and tossed the rest. This cost a little over $7. They have a dining area in the back. Restroom is also available. They accept Apple Pay and credit cards.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my the views from Zeppola Bakery lures you in and snatches your belly!! The bombolone stuffed with fillings such as custard or pistachio just have you stuck there's no way you're not stopping in. The bakery selection ranges from sweet to savory rolled croissants with custard fillings regular croissants, cakes and pastries galore. Fresh made focaccia bread and sandwiches along with breakfast sandos. I got the La San Daniele a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich in focaccia which was massive fluffy, salty savory and perfect way to fuel the day of walking and site seeing. There's a large eating area in the rear with ample space to enjoy the meal.

Yelp
Food and display was so good. Small onsite dining room at the back was nice to have. Highly recommend.

Yelp
No words can describe this place! I love everything in this store. I would come back to New York just for this bakery. Everything I tried was amazing. I will not even insult this place by recommending anything, just walk in and pick anything you like... and don't skip on the pizza. Aside from food, the service is very quick and everyone is really nice. You also have a good amount of indoor seating with a nice ambiance, which is rare to find in this city.

Yelp
After dinner, we stopped here for dessert when we saw the delicious treats in the window display. The small bakery serves a multitude of wonderful freshly made baked goods when includes various Italian donuts, Cucina Pizzetta, sandwiches, coffee and other drinks . We ordered three because we couldn't just get one. 4 stars - Ambiance. When you enter the establishment, you are greeted by the server in a narrow hallway. It can get really crowded in the narrow area when there is a lot of people. After ordering the baked goods and coffee, you pay them slide down to the coffee section to wait for your drinks. In the back of the place, it opens up with 2 seat tables (about 12 or so tables). Definitely gets loud during busy time) 5 Stars - Servers were pleasant, friendly and professional. Asked for suggestions. They are more than happy to give recommendations. 4.75 Stars - Food - all items are freshly made in house everyday and the 3 desserts we selected were: 1. Double-double chocolate (almond flour) - Almond Choc Cake (Gluten free) - 3.75 Stars - the cake was good and crumbly and we think it would taste better if it was warm a little bit. It has a chocolate ganache on it so be careful when warming it. 2. Crostatina - Mixed Fruit Tart - 4 Stars - beautiful present large Raspberry, Blackberry, sliced Strawberries, Mango and a layer of the tart custard. The pie filling was a little bit hard to cut with a plastic knife, so be patient with it when cutting it. The custard filling wasn't as tart as you might think, but the fresh fruit was wonderful. 3. Creamed Filled Mascarpone Fried Cannoli - 5 Stars - a baked Italian donut - a cross between a Cannoli Siciliani and Sfogliatella. I can't remember the name of it. The dough was light and fluffy and easy to eat and break apart. The MASCARPONE cream was to DIE FOR! Wonderful not-to-sweet cream that was filled to the bream in the center section. Each bite was a trip to Italy! Definitely a keeper! Overall 4.5 Stars for the place. Will be back soon before we head to the airport. Edited: got a Custard Bomboloni 3 Stars - it was puffy and light with custard in the middle. It was alright. Not as good as the Fried Cannoli.

Yelp
I was literally down the block grabbing some burgers and parked in front. While I waited for my order a few doors down, I kept noticing customers going into Zeppola and pointing at all of their delectables. Hubby and I were salivating, wondering what they were offering. They have a big front window and we definitely eyed the huge cannoli tower up front. I decided to grab a couple for the road. From outside, I thought they were just a small bakery but in fact, they are actually a café. It looks like serve breakfast and lunch items, as well as many different savory and sweet baked goods. Edwin was working nonstop. Every so often, a handful of people entered, pointed out some sweets, paid and were off. At this time of night (around 8p on a Thursday), the rest of the café was closed off, so there was no dining in, but if you want something that requires heating up, they will certainly do so for you. I picked out a few cannoli and saw what looked like a sugar-coated donut with some sort of filling. There was only one and Edwin explained that it was a Pistachio Bombalone, donut-like pastry filled with pistachio crème. I was sold! Pistachio is a favorite flavor of mine. I was soooo happy to have scored the last one. I spied that they also have lattes and ordered one each of the tiramisu and pistachio flavors. I paid, left and returned to the car. This is my pro tip, and I hate that I sometimes forget when I'm rushing, but definitely make sure to check in BEFORE you purchase anything anywhere, because you could be missing out on discounts and freebies galore! I checked in while back at the car, saw a 15% off disco, and went back in to grab a sandwich that Edwin had previously mentioned was really good. I forgot the name but it might have been a Schiacciata sandwich. It's round and had chicken in it. He offered to heat it up but I declined, and he told me exactly how to set it up when I got home. I ended up gifting it to hubbs for lunch the following day. He was able to heat it up and said it was really good. I can't say when I'll be back around this way but if I am ever in the neighborhood, I would love to try an avocado toast here. Everything we brought home was really good. The lattes were yummy but the pistachio in particular, tasted a lot like pistachio. I fell in love with that. I heated up the bombolone in the microwave for a few seconds and it was amazing. Everyone had a taste (I was feeling generous). They have other flavors and I definitely want to try the mascapone and custard flavors next. I might have to find a reason to head back to midtown soon. Big thanks to Edwin and the other employees that made my lattes. They were both really nice and patient with me.

Yelp
Chicken sandwich and donuts were what was ordered and would definitely go back for more! Great service and just delicious creations! Highly suggest stopping to grab a snack in this beautiful little space tucked in the busy city!!

Yelp
This place is dangerous, stay far away if you're on a diet. It's impossible to step foot inside of Zeppola and not be overwhelmed by the impressive array of beautiful pastries. I tried a pistachio zeppole on my first visit and was able to try a bit of a brioche cannoli and a bombolone that a couple of friends got. On my next visit I got what looked like a chocolate cake covered with a pistachio icing, it turned out to be more like a dense brownie which was a pleasant surprise. If you walk to the back you'll see their selection of hot foods. I tried their lasagna and I'm still daydreaming about it, I entirely blew my calorie budget for the week but it was worth it. I have a feeling that absolutely everything there is delicious.
google avatar

Victor H.

Yelp
Came here and ordered a rolly croissant and hot coffee dark. The rolly croissant was delish, crispy, and its filling was on point. Loved it. Would definitely come back to this place again in the future to enjoy more of its delicacies : )
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
I would love to give it a 5 but I'll get fat if I do! Actually to be truthful it is getting 4 1/2 stars. I like to say 5 but I have been to Mikes Pastry in Boston and it edges out this bakery slightly because of variety. The cannoli here are to die for and the coffee is very good- it certainly beats Dunkin Donuts coffee which is not terrible coffee really.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
The mascarpone bomboloni was superb! It tasted like a tiramisu donut. It was so soft & the mascarpone filling was so delicious! yum!! I have not tried anything else, but they have a large variety of italian desserts & sandwiches. Will be back to try their other things in the near future!
google avatar

Yelp
This bakery in NYC is undoubtedly a hidden gem, and I can't fathom why it's not receiving more raving reviews. During my visit, I ordered a pistachio croissant, custard zeppola, and another mouthwatering item (i forgot the name and it was too tasty that I didn't even take a picture before finishing it) Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. I'm already looking forward to returning to rediscover the name of that item (great motivation to go to NYC again haha). With the super friendly and quick service, this place truly captured my heart

Lily W.

Yelp
Beautiful and flavorful deserts, welcoming attitude and great coffee. What more can one hope for in a bakery?

Yelp
I was sooooo enthralled by the selection (and smell!) that l forgot to use my 15% off coupon l received by checking in. Wow!! This place was delicious!!! My bride got the chocolate/nutella zeppola, l got a raspberry & creme pastry. Wowsa. Both delicious!! (We shared. Barely left any crumbs for the birds!) Ambiance = neat, we sat at a table outside and watched all the people go by... A little expensive (above items + 2 waters =$18). But a genuine NYC bakery experience!!
google avatar

Flor Rocío R.

Yelp
Long day in NY and my husband was craving something sweet, Zeppola is open late! And the pastries were delish and had a variety no matter the time of day.
google avatar

Rich S.

Yelp
Stumbled across Zeppola while exploring midtown. One look in the window from the sidewalk and we were hooked. The cannoli were scrumptious and didn't survive the walk back to our hotel. Cheers! RS
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
My usual checkin with this bakery. Normally I get their cannolis but this time decided to finally get the correct almond croissant (the one with almond paste filling and not almond butter. Haven't tried it yet tho.
google avatar

Isaac H.

Yelp
Definitely a must for a quick snack/energy boost! It's about a 5-10 minute walk away from Times Square. It's a decent sized bakery, with adequate indoor seating. The workers were super friendly and helped me navigate my way around the bakery - it was my first time there and definitely felt overwhelmed with all the options. I've only been once and only got one thing but I HIGHLY recommend the pistachio donut!
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly at this bakery. I purchased several different items to try. What I found pretty consistent throughout was that many of them were semi flavorless. The best ones were the ones that were filled with custard inside if you like custard that is. In my opinion, the most disappointing one was the Nutella. They put almost no Nutella in the center at all. And the spot of Nutella on top was smashed by the top of the box so when you open the box up, it completely came off and was on the lid. It was basically a plain doughnut. If you like any dessert and you're happy with any sugar, this is the place for you. I tend to be a little more picky when I'm eating decadent desserts because I don't want to have them daily. I don't think I would return to this particular bakery, because they did not satisfy my wanting of amazing flavors.
google avatar

Mariana L.

Yelp
One of my favourite bakery spots in New York! They had a wide range of fresh creamy doughnuts, pastries and sandwiches plus great coffee. If you prefer to sit down they have a hidden seating area in the back. Overall a great find!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
I stopped into Zeppola to grab an iced coffee! Their bakery case was filled with beautiful Italian pastries and Bomboloni's and the gentleman that worked there were very friendly, warm and welcoming! I especially loved their Italian accents!

Kim M.

Yelp
Cute little bakery. We had the Rolly croissant filled with marscapone. The croissant was flaky and the cream was plentiful, smooth and light. It was delicious. A little pricey but with close proximity to Times Square and being in NYC in general, it's to be expected. Service was good. We were served promptly.
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
Don't let the location fool you, this is a bomb bakery. I tried the mascarpone donut and it was excellent. During the day this place is a zoo. Granted, it's right by Times Square. Come after work hours and dodge the crowds and it's actually a super pleasant spot with seating in the back!
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Nice looking, cute storefront with pretty looking items under really good lighting. We tried a couple of of the stuffed donut things and a brioche bread with Nutella.. The fillings (pistachio and Nutella) were really good, but other than that, it was just a donut. We will need to return to try some of their other items. Also, there is seating in the back near the bathroom. It's nothing special (the seating), but it gets you off your feet while enjoying their pastries.
google avatar

Alyssa M.

Yelp
We were literally just walking to grab breakfast with friends and passed by here, so we had to drop in! They have an outside window displaying all their treats so it's hard not to pass up. There was a line we had to wait in for about ten minutes but it gave us enough time to pick what we wanted. They have absolutely everything and anything you could want - filled doughnuts, croissants, bagels, cannolis, sandwiches! Basically everything! I got a nutella bombolone - which is sort of like a filled doughnut with powdered sugar on top. It was so tasty! The ratio of filling to bread was perfect, and it tasted so fresh! I wish I could have tried their sandwiches, they looked so tasty too! I definitely recommend coming here for a quick snack or dessert!
google avatar

Marta W.

Yelp
I didn't know I loved Italian baked goods until now! The pistachio-mascarpone croissant was wonderful, and the chocolate almond brownie was unbelievably moist and rich.
google avatar

Edward A.

Yelp
Zeppola exceeded my expectations. My girlfriend and I initally came here because we saw that they sold those circular croissants that went viral at Lafayette Bakery. But when we walked in, there were so many better things! Their bombolones, cannoli, and croissants definitely caught my eye. Not knowing what to order, the employees were very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. We actually went early in the morning on the weekend and we did not have to wait at all and there was no line. We shared their custard filled bombolone, pistachio croissant, a regular cannoli, and a hot latte. All of the pastries were so fresh. The bombolone was so soft and fluffy. The croissant was super flaky and buttery. The cannoli cream was delicious. All of the flavors to me were still on the sweeter side, but it wasn' too much. This time around, we only went for their sweets and coffee, but I definitely would want to return to grab some of their savory stuff like their sandwiches.
google avatar

Alicia X.

Yelp
Decided to start my late morning at nearly 11am with a Nutella latte and custard croissant. The pairing is not the best due to the croissant's sweetness overwhelming the latte. It's a solid croissant. I would say it's not overwhelming sweet although due to squeezing the filling afterwards, the filling isn't necessarily evenly dispersed in the croissant. Due to the powdered sugar, I would be wary for any messy eaters. The seating area behind is nice and spacious with most tables designed for two. It's not that busy on a Friday at 11am which is nice especially as a tourist who just wants a place to eat and sit.

Mark T.

Yelp
There are many bakeries to choose from near Times Square, and this is hands down one of the best. All of the displayed pastries are beautiful, and most importantly have the taste to back it up! This place should be on the "must do" list when visiting.
google avatar

Sherod T.

Yelp
I'm no expert on Italian baked goods but I can't imagine it gets much better than this. Awesome variety and the cannoli was the best I've ever had. This is a must try! Restaurant was very clean and service was excellent.
google avatar

Angie V.

Yelp
This is a pretty decent place for a tasty sweet breakfast. Aside of sweet pastry, they also serve sour pastry (with sausage, turkey, or ham, or bacon, no salmon though). If you are passing by and just want to grab something sweet and freshly baked - the is the place. The croissants we had were just great and crispy. The only downside is they don't provide plates (even a paper one), so you get to use a basket if you decide to sit inside.
google avatar

Jerry D.

Yelp
Pricey, but the pastries were pretty good! Staff was nice. They have coffee, sandwiches and also do breakfast.
google avatar

Peps A.

Yelp
This is a cute little bakery. They have a lot of baked goods and coffee. The coffee was great and refreshing after a long day of walking. The pastries I had were soft and warm. The staff was very friendly. Overall it's a great bakery for breakfast or brunch.

Yelp
Took mine to-go and it traveled super well. Flavors were amazing! And the texture of the crescent roll was perfectly flaky and not overly buttery. My friend said she felt like she wanted more cream in hers but honestly it was just enmity for me to not be too much. I very much enjoyed it! And we got 15% off when we checked in with Yelp :)
