Øresund Bridge

"The Öresunds Bridge, a Continental Connection Driving across this bridge is a push for peace in my mind – probably because I’ve always been fascinated with border cultures. Territory lines naturally create false separations of identity, whereas the human, cultural, and physical identities of two places coming together are much more of a blur. This bridge, called the Öresundsbron, connects the two major hubs of Malmö (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark) and has sparked the movement to recognize a regional identity. A consortium of twelve universities from both countries has opened up all classes and libraries to all students, teachers and researchers of the region. Equally as fascinating: the ports of Copenhagen and Malmö have since merged into one company. This is the first port merger of two countries in history. Wow! Sponsored by Visit Sweden"
