"Barnlike redwood structures designed by architect William Turnbull Jr. (who was also the winery’s first proprietor) contain estate-grown wines alongside one of the world’s largest private photography collections. The main tasting room, called the Gallery Bar, is a light, airy space where original Ansel Adams prints—joined by works from Edward Weston and John James Audubon—hang on soft gray walls between rows of wine barrels, giving the room the feel of an art gallery. The winery employs a curator who rotates mostly black-and-white shows roughly every six months, and many pieces from owner Patrick O’Dell’s family collection are displayed throughout the property (hallways, offices, even near fermentation tanks).
