"Heaven is a smooth martini, and so heaven is at Lupetto and will cost you 21 bucks (it is the Vesper, with both gin and vodka, of which I speak.) The restaurant, whose trademark wood-fired grill was out of service at the time of my visit (but which is now back in service, meaning you can order the pizzas and steaks that I had to go without) nevertheless impresses with fine cocktails and handmade pastas served up in its vast, see-and-be-seen dining room. The crepe-y crespelle is a little much with its white bolognese and caramelized onions—opt instead for the $26 chitarra with meyer lemon and pistachio.
