"How did it strike you on arrival? It's impressive how much the designers packed into such a slender building. Decorated with retro furnishings in a 1970's palette of punchy colors, the lobby feels more like your distant relative's living room than a hotel. At the back of the ground floor, past the breakfast room, is a small patio with a swimming pool and a couple of lounger chairs. Nice. What’s the crowd like? There's no shortage of hotels in hipster Palermo Soho, and this hotel attracts its fair share of millennials eager to capture and share every moment of their Instagram-worthy stay. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. Rooms are small but light-filled and comfy. Cheerful colors and flower-patterned throw pillows help soften the concrete floors and white walls. Room service: Worth it? There's no room service, but breakfast downstairs is complimentary. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. The Palermo Suite, which features a foldout sofa, is a good option if traveling with kids. Bottom line: worth it, and why? The bohemian decor and friendly staff go a long way in making this affordable hotel a favorite with most everyone who stays here." - Celeste Moure
