"So, what’s this place about? N2N, a tiny but notable gallery, showcases sculpture, graphic art, and paintings by mostly European artists. The space also hosts classes and other events. How’s the space? This sleek and small gallery is tucked in the back of a cafe at the base of Al Ain Tower. Black walls and exposed piping give it an industrial vibe, and the stark backdrop makes the vibrant artwork pop. The one-room space has enough wall space for around a dozen works. The art’s the main thing, of course. How is it? The theme that pulls all the art together is a blend of realism and modernism. Colorful, dreamy paintings grace the walls, often in the form of a solo exhibition. Did you meet anyone on staff? Did they make an impression? At least one person will greet you when you enter the glass doors that separate the gallery from the cafe. They’ll be able to tell you about the current artist and the individual pieces shown. At the end of the day, what—or who—is this place best for? N2N Gallery offers a quiet, easy, transportive experience—out of the Middle East and to Europe.
