"For something intimate, check into this five-star sanctuary tucked within Zurich’s Old Town. Its cobblestoned setting puts you within strolling distance of the Kunsthaus and the city’s best boutiques, yet the 49 individually designed rooms and suites feel worlds away from the bustle outside. While it is a boutique, it's spread across five historic buildings, suggesting something grander. Indeed, no matter how you’ve found yourself here, whether business or pleasure, the attention to detail at this Two-Key Michelin stay is exquisite. Some rooms even have floor sensors that turn on nightlights. All rooms are distinctive, and there’s really not one that wouldn’t make for a marvellous retreat, although I do love the Duplex Junior Suite with the bed nestled under the staircase for the ultimate cozy factor. Come evening, the buzz returns—especially downstairs at the Widder Bar, where the bartenders treat their mocktails with the same reverence as their martinis." - Stacey Lastoe
