"If you walk into Norte at around 9 p.m., prime dinner time, expect a packed restaurant of locals eating the same comfort foods they've devoured for more than four decades. Fútbol memorabilia and signs of the various dishes cover the walls, and so does a chalkboard that displays anything from the daily specials, to a drawing of the "flan mixto," to a quote by Ferran Adrià. This is as traditional Argentine cuisine as you're going to get. The novel-like menu includes a long list of Porteño favorites, spanning Argentina, Spain, and Italy. Two pages are dedicated to pasta, especially the sorrentinos , a bigger and rounder version of ravioli. Other house specialties include Spanish omelet, revuelto gramajo (eggs, peas, ham and fried potatoes), and the milanesa con puré, a standard classic of veal or chicken schnitzel served with mashed potatoes.
