"Counter seating arcs around the open kitchen for an intimate 18-seat experience (plus a handful outside), where conversation with chefs and fellow diners comes naturally. Inspired by the owners’ grandparents’ Alentejo restaurant, the menu is hearty Portuguese with a modern twist—rissols filled with razor clams, rabbit with pickled onions and coriander, and a creamy-yet-vegan mushroom rice—poured alongside wines from the family’s own Vila de Frades vineyards; the white is excellent. There’s a second Time Out Market outpost, but the Belém original captures the magic." - Abigail Malbon
